Worst food, heard a lot about tasty food soI ordered 3 chicken biryani.It had only potato, one piece of chicken,salt, haldi and lots of only.No taste only fragrance of cardamom.

Have heard a lot of positive reviews about Arsalan Biriyani. We checked into the restaurant which is at New Market. We ordered mutton biriyani, chicken curry, chicken handi masala, butter naan, green salad and cold drinks.When the food was served, the first thing we noticed was the portion size which was strikingly less in quantity. Even the chicken pieces were literally tiny. There was more oil than the curry/gravy. I would rate the overall taste as in 1.5/5.We are certainly not going back there again. Very dissapointed!!

If the option was available to give a negative star, would have done that. Hideous, absolutely downright disgusting food! We ordered two mutton biriyanis in which there was just a small piece of mutton(mostly boneand a huge piece of potato, both of our biriyanis didnt have eggs. Its greasy, heavily spicy totally counteracts the original Kolkata biriyani,which is famous for its subtle light flavour. Its a scam! Had to pay ₹345 for a single plate which is overpricing food at its best. We also had chicken seekh kabab, and that too was unequivocally disgusting as hell! Wont be ever going back to this place and wouldnt recommend anyone to be here, cause thatll ruin their day! An absolute waste of our precious money!

I had ordered Chicken tikka butter masala with naan which was fabulous and I loved it. I had heard a lot about Arsalan Biryani but honestly speaking, I felt the biryani was just good. Not that great as I had heard from my friends. I had ordered Arsalan Special Chicken Biryani. I have had much much better delicious Biryani. The main thing is the aroma which you get once the biryani reaches your table which I actually missed. The biryani didnt tickle my taste buds. When we eat a biryani there is a blast of all masala flavours..which was a bit lacking.

Yesterday, I have orders 2 mutton rezala. After ordering the food I was waiting for my percel. After 15 minutes a person came and told me 2 plate mutton rezala was not available, only one plate is available. He suggested me to take a plate of chicken rezala instead 1 plate of mutton rezala. Then I went to the counter. Then the counter person forced me to buy a plate of chicken rezala. I told her if mutton pasinda was available?She told yes. Then I told him to replace one plate of mutton pasinda instead of one plate of mutton rezala. Then she calculate and told me to pay additional 80 Rs which was the additional cost. I have paid Rs 80 but she denied to give me the new updated bill counter part which was shown at the time of delivery. At the time of delivery they didnt give me the new updated bill.At night when I have tested the food. The taste of both the food was disgusting. Specially the "mutton pasinda" have worse taste. Its so disgusting it cant be eaten.I have ordered mutton pasinda many times from this arsalan. But this time they make damned in taste. Also in mutton rezala, there are no gravy. Just a piece of mutton and a piece of red chili.This time, total waste of money. I have been buying food from Arsalan (Ripon street outlet)for the past 13 years. This is first time i have received this type of food and this type of service from Arsalan.

The biryani is the best in Kolkata,no matter what others say. Love the quality. The ambiance and the behaviour of the staff is very nice. Totally recommend for biryani lovers.

Nice royal ambience with great biryani. We had a mutton biriyani special. It was good but the mutton was not cooked well.

We have recently indulged ourselves to visit this restaurant as we often go to the other branches as well 😀. Most expectedly we are not disappointed with the quality. They maintain the standard without any ambiguity. Though we must acknowledge, the Hathibagan branch is more enjoyable because of large and spacious dining hall ,overall ambience also more attractive there. Public convenience is more available to Hathibagan branch.

Worst biryani in Kolkata....all are fake reviews here. I am a backpacker and came here seeing huge rating I ordered chicken biryani which is 345 with single piece of chicken in it yupp just 1 single that one side piece not even tangdi.....and yupp over that asking 35 rs for kinley water bottle amounting 20 rs comeon man dont boast of your Thieves..

Everything was fine in the restaurant untill they asked me to wait outside their restaurant just to collect my food which I asked them to parcel. Like Ive been to your restaurant eating for 45 mins and when it comes to collecting more food you want me wait outside. Like what was the logic behind this

One of the oldest Biryani restaurant in Kolkata.

Visited on ashtami around 9.30pm. It was packed up but they out seating pretty quick. We tried spl Mutton biryani, spl Arsalan kabab, reshmi kabab and achari chicken. The spotlight of them was definitely mutton biryani and spl Arsalan kabab. Mutton was so soft and cooked to perfection. The kabab was cheesy and soft (most recommended). We spent a good quality time only downside the manager didnt seemed too motivated, as we also ordered firni for all but in the end they said they wont be able to provide themService was fast.

During Puja I visited the park street outlet... The tandoori and biriyani was served together.. I asked them to serve the biriyani later.. But they didnt. Both the dishes were very cold..

I along with my friends visited Arsalan, park Street for the first time.We ordered chicken biryani, butter tandoori roti,rumali roti, chicken reshmi butter masala, chicken bharta.Taste of all food was moderate not up to the mark.its really disappointing.overrated and over priced.

Bad experience.Half bowl of gravy filled with oil.Roti was not chewable. Prices were unnecessarily high. Biryani was tasteless and had only one chicken piece and a big potato. No proper service was provided.

Loveddd their chicken biryani, chicken was juicy and tender, even the egg and aloo were soft and delicious. The squeeze of lime made it even better.

Nice ambiance only at ground floor. But whenever you will go there with family or group (we were 6 adults and 3 childrenthey will insist you to go upstairs which is not at all a good place to have dinner or lunch. Just a basic place with ordinary decoration or ambiance. I didnt like the place as per other Arsalan branch. Even there a Birthday party was going on with loud noisy atmosphere. But staffs are very helpful and good.

Mutton biryani - Rs.345 ( without Rita and gravy)It is not like south Indian biryani. It east india side style so rice had less flavours and only one piece mutton. Just my opinion please refer other opinions

Service degraded...as I received faty mutton piece , so when I told them about it , they are saying I have to inform them before touching the piece!! How can be it be possible??!!! Without removing rice how can I check the quality!! Even briyan was not hot.The main thing is that my mom was not able to eat.

The experience was estatic. Amazing service and hospitality was bestowed. Really had a great time. 5 star service. All thanks to Mr.Akbar & his team. Really did a commendable job. Much Love!!

It was the first time I tried the Mutton Biryani at Arsalan and it tasted just delicious with enough quantity of rice which was soft and long, very soft and tender mutton...juicy and flavorful, even the potato was tasty. At first I found a half raw potato but they replaced it when I raised the issue. Overall a wonderful service with delicious food. )

We ordered two special mutton biryani and was sufficient for 3 people. The special mutton biryani contains two pieces of mutton and the normal mutton biryani contains one piece. For people who are new to the city of joy - Kolkata should definitely try Arsalan biryani. Its worth a try. They have several outlets. Their staff is quite friendly and will give you good suggestions if you are confused with what to order. Do skim through their menu card before you visit the restaurant as it will make your experience smoother and better.Their restaurant ambience could be maintained or created much better. Rest is great!

As we all know ARSALAN itself a brand. Food quality is awesome as we all know, nothing else to speak. But this outlet is a little bit small comparing to other outlets in Kolkata. Not enough parking space as well. Otherwise its a great place to have good food.

Arsalan is a repured restaurant for biryani, we all know. I have been to other branches, but visited this branch for the first time.We had the special chicken biryani with 2pc chicken, and took an extra egg.Loved the flavour of the biryani and the way the chicken is cooked.Staff behaviour was very nice.

Arsalan needs no introduction if you are from Kolkata. Arsalan is One of the best biriyani makers of the town. This park Street branch(located near Kareems has great ambience and service. Staffs are very well behaved. Parking space available (small though). Food is finger licking good as usual.Must try: Special Mutton Biryani, Special chicken Biryani, Tangri kabab.

Arsalan a famous name for Moughlai dish has one branch in park street area. 2sitting area one at ground floor & 1st floor are mostly reserved for private party.. I went to this branch for the 1st time.. Ambience was not that great, rather ordinary.. Staff was very rude, as 3of my friend reached earlier n ordered a kebab.. I & one of my friend were 15min late.. As soon as we entered the person rudely said, "will u order now? Or stick with one order only.." They didnt bother to serve us also..Food quality was very average.. Biriyani was not that tasty as we get it on other branch.. Arsalan is charging an unnecessary price now a days for food, sply Biriyani..

A very nice. Mughlai restaurant, , very popular among kolkata s ppl. Go for their mutton biryani. Its delectable. Best place for mughlai dishes like kebabs and biryanis. Virgin mojito is also good. Bit heavy on the pocket though. Ideal dinner pocket pinch is 1500 for a couple.

I ordered Mutton Biryani,chicken chaap and Chicken Reshmi kababMutton Biriyani was ok ok, I will rate 5/10Reshmi kabab taste was very good 8/10And Chicken chaap was worst, Gravy taste was burnt and oil floating all over it.I will not recommend this Arsalan outlet. I dont know about the other items in the menu, but Biriyani and chaap was totally disappointing...

Kolkatas Best Beriyani served here. I have tried all other places like Karims, Owadh etc. But I felt Arsalan has its quality all time. Other preparation like Kebabs are also very mouth watering.

I wanted to see what the hype is about Arsalan, as multiple friends of mine had suggested to visit this place when I visit Kolkata. This month I got the opportunity 🙂Well, to be honest this branch of Arsalan is a place where you can have your private table, which was essential for me. We hopped on to this branch from the 7 point branch because the 7 point Park Circus branch didnt have table system and you have to share your table!+++++ Positives:1/ We liked the taste of the Biriyani, it was just the way we have expected. The aroma was nice, Flavourful rice, with tasty Aalu and Egg.2/ We ordered two Kababs, one of Arslan Kabab and Kathi Kabab. The Arslan Kabab was wrapped in thick layer of cheese and it tastes delicious. The Kathi Kabab was also good but it felt little dry but it tates awesome with Rumali paratha.3/ The service was also good and it was nice to see that the waiters can speak in Bangla. I hate it when people living in Bengal cant speak or attempt to speak in local language.4/ The restaurant is maintained well and its clean, this branch is good to bring your family.----- Negative:Biriyani was just served without any accompaniments- there was no raita, salad, or salan. Also Salad doesnt refer to just arranging cut pieces of cucumber onion tomatoes carrot etc.Feedback: Ideally Biriyani is served with some complimentary salad, Onion Raita & Mirchi ka Salan. Please try to include them.Charging separately for these accompaniments (few slices of cucumber, onion,Carrot, tomatoesis obnoxious.

Finally i reached this place at the Park Street just just opposite foot to On track restro. This is not that big like lot other Arsalan as per the ambiance is concerned but yes some decent sitting arrangement. Service is good and prompt and staff here are very friendly and talkative.It was a casual walk in with some friends and it went the way it should be.1. Arsalan Special Kabab : They gave this dish name of them because it certainly deserve their name tag. I guess one of the best and most liked starter they can provide. Marinated with cheese, coriander, spices and grilled to perfection. An inventive fusion of western flavors with the Indian tikka. **Recommended**2. Chicken and Mutton Biryani : Their biryani is legendary of all time, one of the best in the city but in the recent times it deteriorated its quality big time in some other outlets. But this was not the case here. It was looking decent and smelling yummy. Tasted like legend, no complaints.3. Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala : How they never fail to make this so outstanding every time. Creamy yummy and tasty. Grilled chicken drowned inside the creamy gravy and tasted like heaven, complementing the butter nan extremely well.4. Butter Nan : Soft and light. Spreaded butter all over and i could smell it from far.This was a fine lunch with friends and my tummy was wholly satisfied.

Visited this place on "Holi" For a lunch. They really have a very fast service. Ambiance was elegant and beautiful, and so peaceful. Coming to the food,we ordered chicken with gravy along with two nun, we ordered mutton and chicken special biryani and a mojito. i really love biryani from Arsalan more then any other restaurant. Chicken were so soft and juicy. Realy love the food. Price are abit high as per quantity i must say.

This restaurant is located just near KareemsThe entire line has many fancy restaurants.Ambience : Very plain,not very decorative or fancy. Good for families to have lunch. And incase you love Arsalan food,you can definitely drop in here.Not recommended for dates- now that depends what you want to have.Theres an AC and Non AC section.Pretty spacious seating.Food :Chicken Biryani - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Matar paneer - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Butter nan - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Reshmi kebab - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Cold drinkFood was delicious. The restaurant is in heart of Kolkata, near The Park hotel..We tried there iconic dish Mutton Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala,two types of Kabab(hariyali and malaiand masala coke.Biriyani was good,the potato was very tasty and soft ,mutton was also soft and well cooked medium size.. Rice was lite..The hariyali kabab was so good ,malai kabab was so so..The ambience was good nothing special but foods were tasty..

Great food, the best Kolkata biriyani I have ever had. Arsalan special kabab made me spellbound. Definitely try this.
