3 Calle Unión, Ponce, 00730, Puerto Rico, Fajardo
Built in 1899, this Ponce Creole–style home now houses a museum with some original furniture.
Not sure if open or not (didn’t trybut beautiful picture taking opportunity outside.
This district in Ponce is rich in history. Park and walk. Parking is free, entrance is free. There are no public bathrooms. There was a line when we went, due to covid only 6 people allowed at one time but the entire thing is open so you can see everything from the outside
Puerto rico cultural museum. Next to the casino across from the church in la plaza de ponce very nice architecture want to learn something new about the history if puerto rico swing by and check it out
When they finish the restoring the place then I will give them a 5 star, but still a fabulous house.
Interesante
Excelente
Very rude tour guide
Pretty building.
Spectacular old house s.19
Great historical place
Great museum.
Bueno
Awesome place to visit. Probably one of the most beautiful houses Ive had the priviledge to see on the island. It really gives an interesting look on the unique culture of Ponce. The owner of the house was a wealthy baker who founded the Bank of Ponce, and by seeing his house you can get an interesting peek at the life of the Ponce elite of the time. How this culture, composed of entrepreneurial immigrants from Europe, built a distinct culture and city that forms an integral part of PR history. Seeing the house reminds you of the culture and values of these people (both good and bad), and reminds us of our complex heritage. Gave it 4 stars because the second floor hardly has furnishing, so its less interesting. Still worth visiting, though! Tour guide was nice and well informed, and the house has a pretty nice bookshop with Puerto Rican books that are honestly pretty hard to find, so that was a nice surprise. Please go visit, especially if you are from Ponce!
Nice place
