Arms Museum - Museum in Gjirokaster, Albania
Shumë i dëmtuar
In my opinion it wasn’t worth the extra 200 lek entry fee. There are some interesting artefacts in there, but there is nothing really to explain them (or the story behind how they ended up there). No English translations for anything (or any other language for that matter). If you like old guns, go.
Very nic museum where do you get info about Albanians history from old age through 20th century to today. There is everything in English. Second part is older museum with lot of guns and wars maps but in Albanian language.
PASURI E MADHE NGA HISTORIA E LUFTRAVE PËR LIRI

Well... First its impossible to visit the museum without pay a first fee of 400lek to enter into the castle, second they will ask you for a 200lek more at the second door to visit the museum... Wich is a confusing situation, people dont understand why the guardian ask for 200 and think that is tourist trap, a bakchich. But no... They should explain it at the entrance, its a trick... And third the war part and jail are only in Albanian language
Just wanted to make sure no one reads the low reviews and forget the 200 leks also includes the very informative Gjirokaster museum. Also the prison was eerie with the wind howling and doors creaking, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Weltkrieg ausstellt. Einige in recht gutem Zustand.
A lot of machine guns. Pretty dusty inside.
Ciekawe lecz zaniedbane miejsce
Very informative and well balanced exhibition with a lot of interesting facts about the history of Albania. The modernised part of the museum has everything translated to English, is based a lot on oral history/witnesses’ testimonies, includes some trivia - really a top level. The older part probably hasn’t changed at all since the communist times but because of it it can be considered an artefact on its own (nothing has been translated from Albanian, though). Anyways, both parts are worth visiting, you can appreciated how dedicated Albania is to be open to tourists while holding its head up high. The castle itself is really impressive, well preserved.
Interessantissimo museo dallepoca degli Illiri al comunismo.
Museum is not so big but is nice and its part of the Castle 🏰, it costs 400 leke and the weapons are quite big!
Schöne Aussicht. Interessanter Ort
Amazing place. Well maintained and the right information given by the staff and local guides.
I loved the place, especially Zogs prison where none of the other tourists went. Very eerie vibe... The museum is to a large extent quite old but they are trying to revamp it and the newer part at the entrance was very informative. Well worth the 200 leke fee
Not worth to pay 200 extra LEK...
Edhe pse tani ato jane pjese e historise. Gjithashtu mungon personeli i duhur per kete muze dhe per keshtjellen ne pergjithesi. Bileta kushton 200 Lek.
One of the best places in albania
I dont think this museum has changed since the 1970s all the signs are in Albanian. But its really cool.
A good place to learn more from the history of Albania and see many historical documents, weapons of different centuries, and more...
