Ariyana Middle Eastern Food in Peterborough

Just ate here for the first time since I moved to Peterborough and Im kicking myself for not eating here sooner! Their shawarmas are amazing! And their menu looks amazing. I want to try every single thing on the menu. And I will! I think I will be revisiting very often. Highly recommend and thank you for the delicious food and exceptional service.Update: we eat here often now! Our favourite is the chicken shawarma plate. So delicious! And consistent! Never disappointing. Their baklava is excellent as well.

Everything lacks taste, chicken is too dry,, shawarma without too many toppings optiobsAnd Dont ever order biryani ..Only reason the place is up and running is lack of options in the area which are halal

I recently moved pretty far from Peterborough. After visiting for the first time I can confirm that Ariyana is the best shwarama ever. You cant get anything like it where I am now.

One of the best Middle Eastern places in Town. Great food, choices dont stop at Middle Eastern cuisine, good portions.Would highly recommend for anyone. And there are vegetarian options as well. But the Shawarma and the meats are MVPs.

Stopped in for a falafel wrap and Im so glad! It was delicious with lovely fresh toppings and the owner was great to chat with. Highly recommend.

Used to eat here very frequently. The meat was mostly good but a lot more gristley than OMG. Then the owner(?made my order to my specifications, but then gave my order to some other regular that walked in. Then he hastily remade my order not to my specifications and gave me that one, forgetting some stuff and adding other things without me knowing what he was doing. Now I just eat at OMG a couple blocks up.

Love there food and the owner is very kind and the people who work for him as well. You no ur eating healthy when you eat here.

I went to this place for the first time based on a friend’s recommendation and regretted. The Food is not tasty. The vegetables are not fresh. The Baklava was colored with food colors. I will not go there for any reason.Maybe it was a good place one day but its not anymore .

I ordered chicken biryani, chicken shawarama salad and fries. Would recommend skipping the fries (not that goodbut check out the biryani (it is not Indian style but a hybrid)It best to get it yourself (dont do deliveryso you can customise it how you like.

Amazing Shwarma! Ive been to many in ottawa and Toronto and this spot is by far the best that Ive had. Try their special sauce!

The best place to eat while in Peterborough. Moreover, the staff is amazing. They are so friendly and respectful. Every time the orders are amazingly perfect. Hope they expand their business because we need more places like this one, specifically in my city.

Loved the food their, I would recommend trying their chicken shawarma spicy or non spicy whatever u like, also a great recomendation from my fam is the vaziri Kabab platter with biryani as rice which elevates the food on another level.

Best shawarma Ive had in peterborough. Portion sizes are more than reasonable and price is decent. Very friendly people n the food is seasoned very well.

My girlfriend loves the lamb shank dinner and I always go for the chicken shawarma salad with garlic and hot sauce. Ive been a few places in Peterborough that the chicken is overcooked and dry. So far Ariyana has been consistent with maintaining a nice moisture to char balance. The baklava is delicious but should have little more honey added. No problems with placing orders over the phone for pick-up. My order was ready in the time they said it would be (25 minutes). Well be back again.

The food was really good with apt quantity. The seating area was clean and service was swift. Their prices completely justify the food you eat. Loved their take on Chicken Karahi and Butter Chicken plates.would definitely recommend this place if in the city

We tried Mediterranean food here and it was a lovely experience. We were a group of 14+ friends and kids and we here for in store dining and tried a lot of items and loved them all, it was fresh and tasty. Good to grab a quick bite and service was awesome. Had an amazing experience. I went there with a friend all the way from Toronto. Let me tell you the food was amazing, we got the chicken shawerma plate. The guy who served us we very nice an pleasant as he new my friend.

It is one of the best halal restaurants in Peterborough. Have been ordering food from here everytime I visit my cottage nearby. Food is excellent and the owner is very very kind and nice. We always order the family platter for 4 which is now family platter for 5. Prices are up, but thats compensating due to the prices of meat, oil, rice and everything to meet the standards of the restaurant going up as well. Food is fresh and we love it because you get more taste of the meat and they put very perfect quantity of spice to bring the flavors out.Ive been going here for the last 4 years and know the owner. He was telling me how a customer had a confrontation with him and the customer decided to put several false negative reviews towards this restaurant, using various accounts in a single day. You can read the reviews below put few days back before me and its clear as day which they are.My suggestion to reviewers is that if you dont like the food or service just make it elaborate why not, instead of putting a few words using various accounts just to bring the reputation of restaurants down in this pandemic. All we need is to help the local businesses as much as we can in all honesty.

This place may not the look the best on the inside but the food and customer service is outstanding. We were in Peterborough for 3 days and ordered from this place for lunch and dinner every single day. The food has a home cooked flavour to it and the price is reasonable. The menu also has something for everyone and I would recommend to try everything!

Excellent middle-eastern food (some Indian dishes too!in Peterborough & ALWAYS GREAT customer service from all the staff, especially when ordering in-person. The rice served with many dishes is especially good and have a wonderful aromatic saffron-flavor, and the very tender lamb shank just melts in your mouth. Do try the in-house sauces (garlic, medium, hotincluded which give each meal its own special twist!!

Check out all the 1 star reviews for authenticity of the reviews. The grease bland fatty chicken is not middle Eastern chicken. I can eat a rotten tomato and still dont get sick bit eating here will definitely make me sick. The place is not even middle eastern.

Not good. Greasy. Made me feel ill after 6 bites. Fatty chicken. Bland. Has zero flavor. I bought the chicken shawarma with rice and salad. I have tried other mediterranean places in Peterborough that were far better. I wont return.

Great place for shawarma and the price is good. The butter chicken, biryani and paneer dishes were ok. Id come back for the shawarma. 😊

This is a good Shawarma place. At the moment you cant eat there but they do have decent seating area. The food tastes good but it would be better if they took the chicken straight off the rotary instead of pre cutting it. Also the prices are decent but they arent too generous with the extras ( ie pay for a piece of pita bread, pay for slice of feta cheese etcbut all in all its a good Shawarma joint and it tastes quite good.

So I go to Ariyana and order side of karahi chicken and this is what I get. For 8.99 this is ridiculous. The least they could have done was top the container. Although it tastes good, definitely not worth the money considering the portion provided.

I should really give this place a five star. Both the food and the staff were amazing. The only thing I didn’t love was that even though we ate in, we were given styrofoam takeout containers and plastic forks. It’s just too much waste, and for this reason I probably won’t go back.We ordered the Aalo & gobi, the butter Chicken as well as a piece of Baghlava. Everything was spectacular.

Ariyana is the only place in Peterborough that serves authentic middle eastern food and their food reminds me of my mother’s cooking (so very yummy). This is our frequent hangout spot and their food is to die for. I keep coming back and love their food, service and ambience. Most importantly, the prices are pocket-friendly😁❤️

Food is beyond great. Authentic middle eastern food down perfect. The chicken Shwarma is always soft and perfect when I go and the staff is always quick and respectful to me. The leg of lamb is to die for but as they recommend I would call ahead of time if you are in a hurry as it takes a bit to cook it. Either way I do not mind waiting for such great food. The owner is very kind and respectful to everyone. Overall this place is the only spot to get authentic middle eastern food and I would never recommend anything else. It is too good to pass up!

First time visit and I loved it. The garlic sauce is so beautifully garlicky, the portions are incredibly filling, my friend had some of their samosas and he liked them a lot. Staff was lovely. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

I was so happy to find shwarma sandwiches in Peterborough, but they only had chicken or falafel available. Theyre not as good as the shwarmas in Ottawa, but its a long drive when you get a craving. They have the pickled turnip, and are generous with it if you ask for extra. The garlic sauce isnt very garlicky but they also have "magic" sauce, (which is probably garlic sauce mixed with hot sauce). The large sandwich is a decent size and loaded with chicken. I will go back because they take care of the cravings and the staff is super nice

I only ever come here for their chicken shawarma. I wouldn’t recommend coming here to eat in, but they have huge portions.

Delicious shawarma plates, the quantities were gracious , the serving was more than enough for a single person each and two tables of four and couple of tables for two, the staff is nice and street parking is available outside free on the weekends and holidays
