One place I hope I always can come back to. Great breakfast food. Has a good vibe in the walls, or is that my diabetes 🤔? Ill risk it.

Service awesome. Be patient I promise.it is worth the wait. You will not be disappointed. Food and presentation was incredible. The time and surprisingly unexpected tastes to even the simple things you take for granted. The fresh homemade bread, buttered just eight, the added extra to make grits not grits. The light and airy omelette with he fresh ingredients left one not wanting to not be part of the clean plate club. Wonderful. The pricing definitely.on the lower side of others around, however, would totally pay more! Will not disappoint!

Absolutely fantastic place for breakfast. One of my favorites in Outer Banks. Best crepes, fresh fruit not glazed or yummy french toast. Cannot recommend higher. Check it out if you want a great breakfast.

For breakfast: Unfortunately they were quite understaffed on the weekend we visited. Avoid the pancakes as they were terribly dry, as well as the cinnamon roll. We also had the breakfast burrito which was good. Probably would not return.

Came to this place last year, and we loved it! The gluten free pancakes were delicious, so we were eager to come back. The place is small inside and is more capable of handling smaller parties. We had a group of 5, like we did last year, and the gentleman who was seating people told us they couldn’t accommodate us. He said they only had one table that would work and it would be at least 40 minutes. We would have had no problem waiting, but his delivery and sheer annoyance by the fact that we had five people was very uncomfortable. Additionally, he didn’t even offer to put our name down to wait, when he told us it would be 40 minutes, he basically insinuated that waiting was not an option. The whole thing was very awkward, and we felt like we were inconveniencing them, so we left.

Food was ok. Service was odd - 2 servers were not sure who was waiting on us until we told the second one we had been taken care of. Floors are dirty. Didnt care for the dog at the next table whimpering and wanting to come sniff my feet while I was eating. Too small of a place to have dogs inside.

Family friendly atmosphere with amazing art done by the owner. Coolest tables Ive ever seen! Food is pretty standard for an American diner experience.

Worth the wait, breakfast was delicious. The service was good as well. I highly recommend it.

Amazing little place! Some of the bests Eggs Benedict I have ever had. The Bloody Mary was fantastic as well. You can tell the owners and staff take pride in their work by the appearance of the restaurant and the presentation of the food. Theres just a lot of little extras that make it special. Definitely worth a visit.

Our waitress was the best, nicest lady ever!!! I had an egg white omelet and it was the best Ive ever had 💕 My husband and sons food was fantastic, also!! Highly recommend!! Be patient because, of course, no one wants to work because they make more staying at home, and they are short on help and only open for breakfast!

Small nice place. We enjoyed it. Food was good priced and delicious. We had breakfast and it was quick and easy even with short staff as they mentioned from the beginning, (like everywhere right nowbut it didnt hinder anything for us.

We met Debra through her cake tasting and we ended up booking not only all the desserts with her team, but catering and bar services as well! The cake was absolutely amazing (we did Pina Colada, Key Lime, and Chocolates cakesand we continue to get compliments on how good the food (Prime Rib, Chicken, and Coconut Shrimpwas at our wedding! Also, her staff paid special attention to the bride and groom as we where running around taking photos with guests, they brought them appetizers and drinks to keep them fed during the chaos of weddings. Would highly highly recommend Argyles/Debras full catering service!

Only open for breakfast when we ate there, was worth a 20 minute wait for sure! Highly recommend the Benedicts.... best i have ever had! Spoke to the owner for a few minutes, very nice person.would {will} definitely eat there again!!!

People were nice, service was good. Place is a little small, but cozy. We had breakfast, so dont know about dinner. I had Eggs Benedict Oscar, over biscuits instead of English muffins (my choice...and a good one). "Lump" Crabmeat was not so "lumpy", but okay. Eggs a little overcooked, hollandaise needed some lemon. Home fries were slightly underdone and under-seasoned. Not bad, though. Presentation was good. A couple tweaks, and this could be a really good breakfast experience.

Awesome breakfast was had here. I think the menu could be updated for what they actually offer or what comes with your meal, but that aside food was delicious.

The food was absolutely amazing the crepes you could taste how fresh they were!The service will nice was painfully slow. Which is abnormal for a breakfast spot on a Saturday morning. They weren’t super busy either so how slow the service was didn’t make any sense but 🤷🏻‍♀️Would recommend the food but will likely just try takeout next time.

We went for Breakfast it was delicious!!! I highly recommend going!!! Biscuits yum! Omelets delicious, cinnamon French toast amazing! Go hungry and try everything! The owner is the chef and her husband is usually out front! Karen our server was spot on!

Amazing breakfast! Homemade bread and biscuits. The cinnamon roll french toast was worth every calorie. VERY fresh sausage. Delicious hot coffee and the Bloody Mary was perfectly made. We will be back next year.

The options, the waitstaff, the ambiance are all a 5! The breakfast was delicious. We got there before 8am and there was no wait. The place is on the smaller side and can fill up quickly but the early bird gets the best breakfast with an attentive waitstaff. One of the best on the island. I would highly recommend adding it to your list while in OBX.

Seating is on a "first-come, first-serve" basis. As it is a "cozy" atmosphere, my party of two waited outside until there was room for us inside. Within five minutes, a large party forced their way in, resulting in close contact. The person with me opted to wait outside. The host finally came over, looked past me and addressed the larger party. I stepped forward and said there were only two in mine, thinking he may have thought we were together. The larger party was seated and another couple came in. After another five minutes, the host came back and asked who was next. We had clearly been standing there for quite some time, and my presence had been acknowledged. At that point I could only assume it was personal, and we left.We were not dressed any differently than any other group. My child thought it might have been because of their purple hair. We had planned this trip and I had been looking forward to going to this restaurant, but I do not wish to patronize an establishment that so passive-aggressively treats potential customers they deem "unworthy".Edit:As there is no way to answer your reply, this will have to do.No, Maam, your husband is lying. My daughter and I were the ones waiting outside. We watched the other party drive up, look for a parking space then drive around back. When the people inside the door were seated we went in. The large group came in after a few minutes, asked us if there was a list, and we told them no, its a line. After she told the rest of her partytosqeeze in, my daughter became uncomfortable and went outside. I remained in the building. Your husband looked over my head and asked the people behind me how many were in their party and seated them. There was no one else waiting. He made eye contact with me and began to clean off menus. Several more minutes passed and two gentlemen came in. Your husband walked over, looked from me to the gentleman and asked "whos next?" Before I could answer, the other couple indicated we were there before them. Your husband said "Oh." and walked away. He ABSOLUTELY knew we were there first.

I rate the food and wait staff a 5 but waiting to be seated is killer. Fluffy pancakes, great omelet, and biscuits and gravy, top notch. Waitresses all working hard. When we arrived there was no greeting to let us now what was happening as far as a wait, no name taken or how many in your party. Finally asked a waitress how to get seated and we were told that the gentleman was the only one that did that. We understand things are different in Covid times but an acknowledgement that we were there would have been nice.

Great food! Seemed to be the best reviews for breakfast and they were right! Lots of options and everything was SO good and hot and tasty!!! Seriously eat a biscuit with their amazing gravy no matter what else you have, YUM. Home fries were seasoned amazing and had great flavor. The Texas omelette had the best sautéed vegetables that were caramelized and packed with flavor! Don’t come if you’re in a hurry because it will take forever to be acknowledged before being seated. But we all loved our food and our server was very sweet and attentive!!

First time in Kitty Hawk and was looking for a nice breakfast spot. Was pleasantly surprised when we found Argyles which was beautiful inside with an incredible staff and delicious food. Will certainly recommend to anyone traveling this way!

Such a wonderful little restaurant! Service was outstanding. Presentation of our food when it came out was wonderful and it was equally delicious! I had the Chefs Pasta Provencal (vegetarianand my husband had the Coconut Shrimp.We will definitely return!

Our group of 7 showed up & it only took 15 ish minutes for us to get sat. They were very good at communicating the status of our table. Even though our server was relatively new, she did a very good job! The food (I got the spiced apple crepewas delicious. Will go again next time we’re in obx!

Place was small but clean. Also was a bit cluttered. That being said the food was mediocre. Looked okay but just wasnt very good at all. Lacked flavor, every meal had parsley chopped up and sprinkled on top the food and/or on the plate. This included pancakes it was just odd. Service was extremely poor to say it nicely.

Very good food and reasonable pricing. Staff was very nice and hard working. They say everything is hand made and fresh and it certainly tastes like it. Went here more than once. Had pancakes for breakfast one day and wow, delicious.

Absolutely the best French toast Ive ever had (Grand Marnier French toast). My husband had the 3 cheese omelet and loved every bite of it. We shared an order of the eclair crepes and they were amazing too. Well only be here for 3 days, but were thinking of coming back for breakfast tomorrow because it was so amazing today. Our server was awesome as well. Our bill was not as expensive as this food deserved!

Was one of our best dinners out while in the OBX last two weeks! Friendly smiling staff added a personal touch to the warm and artful atmosphere, appetizers and entries with unique twists, warm baked bread, and homemade salad dressings that say Wow! Don’t miss the desert tray; well worth the calories!Then to find out it’s Debra, the owner in the kitchen crafting this awesome meal, including the sinful deserts. Where does she find the time to turn out the artwork in the tables and on the walls. We left fulfilled in every way, with a piece of art to remember this night out. We will return!

The food was terrible. Service was good. It was microwave food. We ordered shrimp which tasted like it was frozen. I had French onion soup which seemed like it came from a can. Over priced kids food! $8 for craft Mac and cheese (1/3 portion from a boxand no side. Not what I expected at all.

Very good food the attention to detail was amazing and service was great! Everything we ate was spectacular and will definitely be going back to eat dinner! Leaving 5 because I can’t leave 10!

Ive never written a review about any restaurant before, but I had to for this place. Long story short, we placed a large ($225+ order onlineand received it over an hour and 45min after placement due to technical issues ( i gave them the benefit of the doubt but when we finally did pick up I couldnt believe the portion sizes. As II was verifying everything was correct I picked up an order of seared scallops and almost smacked myself in the face with the container because I expected it to actually weigh something. Upon opening I laughed, moved the the giant artichoke leaf to see 3 quarter size scallops for $13 and asked the owner "is this the correct portion size" to which he nodded yes. My lobster bisque filled the to-go container no more the 30% of the way full and I got a whopping 4 tablespoons from it before I reached rock bottom. Steer clear and find somewhere else to get your $$s worth.

Our 2nd time here and both the service and food were excellent. The staff is welcoming and actually takes the time to talk to you and make you feel at home. Weve tried both dinner and breakfast and each were equally unique and represent the homemade quality we seek when in this area that has unfortunately become more touristy and formulaic, as many beach towns have had to over the years.

Unique spot. Has been around for 30+ years, run by a couple and a few helpers. They’re every accommodating, can be a bit slower paced, food is decent and it’s an eclectic spot. Say hi to PJ if you stop in!

Probably one of the worst meals weve ever experienced 6/18/19. We made reservations for our party of 8 and were seated immediately. There were only 5 other people in the restaurant, it should of been our sign to run for the door. Drinks and appetizers were ordered and things were going well. Appetizers were great then our meals arrived after about a 35-45 minute wait. There are 2 soups on the menu so they had a 50% chance of bringing the right one.... ordered french onion and was served lobster bisque. 3 burgers were ordered, 2 were hockey pucks and the one ordered medium well was rare. My daughter requested avacado on her burger and she got a good firm unripe slice with the rind attached. She picked it up to show us and bent it between her fingers and it launched into the air like a spring. All we could do is laugh. We arent the type to make a scene so to be fair to management we didnt discuss it with them. We actually couldnt tell them the service sucked because the server never came back. Im still waiting to order my 2nd drink and for refills at the table. When we finally got the check it was storming and we just wanted to leave.Atmosphere - OKAppetizers - greatDrinks- pretty good but you only get one.Service - too poor to rate. Non-existentFood - the chef has no pride in what is delivered to the table. Horrible.Save your money and time and find somewhere else in OBX to dine.

The Texas omelette, short stack, and biscuit were quite good.The wait staff was nice and attentive.The home fries tasted like they were from yesterday, the crab Benedict was OK, and the drip coffee was quite weak.Prices were average, cheaper than a big city. :)

Cool little place. My wife and I went there for date night. Pretty good food and service. Was in and out in an hour. The only complaint I might have is that the tables are very backed up to each other. I get it though...not a big place so you need to increase the number of tables. Will most likely revisit next year

I enjoyed my French Silk martini - made fromChambord, Stoli Vanil, Godiva Chocolate LiqueurAndthe Guinness Battered Brie appetizer - (With warm chambord and raspberry garnished with fresh ground walnutsreally yummy!For my main meal - Honey Siracha Chicken Bowl - it came filled with a free range organic chicken breast seared in a honey Siracha sauce over rice noodles and stir fried vegetables... Spicy indeed! But really great tasting, I couldnt stop even though my nose was running! David had the Grilled Flat Iron Steak (Grass Fed Angus steak topped with a fresh Pistachio Pesto and served with a smoked gouda mac and cheese and Matchstick veggies- and enjoyed it! The live music was great also!If I lived in OBX, Id be here all the time!

Tonight was very disappointing! We had a reservation for 8 people... we were finally done and leaving after 3 hours! We were straddled behind a party of 20... others that were seated after us ate and left before we even had food!!! I complained and was assured that" well take care of you"! When I got our check, nothing was done with the exception of taking off my dinner that wasnt acceptable. When i"reminded" the staff at the bar of the offer, I received a $50 cash refund. No chef, owner, nor manager ever came to our table... they let a teenage waiter to sweat it out in a tough situation! NOT GOING BACK SOON!

Id get the fresh local fish any day. Cobia topped with buttered crab meat over top of country ham jambalaya. Awesome.

My sisters and I ordered a cake for my mom and dads anniversary while we were on vacation in the outer banks. It was absolutely fabulous not only did it look beautiful on the outside but tasted even better on the inside we didn’t have a chance to eat there but the inside of the restaurant was clean and looked like a great place to eat . The owner was so nice and friendly we enjoyed talking to her so much and already have plans on going back for more next year!

Came here with our 2 year daughter who has a gluten allergy. The chef came out and asked us what she likes and made her a special dish that she absolutely loved! On top of going above and beyond for our little girl, our food from the menu was superb! I had the nut and berry salad and I was dancing in my seat from how delicious it was! My husband got the chicken and pesto flat bread that was also delicious. All in all, we will definitely be making this a stop every time we are in the OBX!

Amazing service, even better food. Crab, shrimp, antelope, desserts. Very nice staff, will come back next vacation, sad we found it on the last day.

Somehow we ended up here on Easter. Totally not our normal thing, as thats normally a day for church and family in the home. I was with my wife and kids, plus 4 relatives. We were treated like the only people in the restaurant - the service was great. The food was awesome, too. There were some things on the menu that were pretty unique including antelope. If this place wasnt 680 miles away, we would be back soon!

The owner of this restaurant is really friendly and will strive his best to please. Even if you come late he will make sure everything on the menu is available and that you have a very good experience! Lovely restaurant I will definitely visit again!
