Archbishop Joseph A. Fiorenza Park - Park and Garden in Channelview, United States
Park is goood for kids. The highlight is the trail, its incredibly beautiful, especially the little cliff towards the other side.. you get a beautiful view if the water and city. Its very clean. Please walk, cycle, skate, even fishing is allowed here.
This park is beautiful, I recommend you bring the fam.
Amazing place with natures wonders
TODAY I SAW A CONSTABLE SITTING AT THE PARK IN HIS VEHICLE HARASS A YOUNG BLACK MAN THAT WAS THERE TO EXERCISE. If you have young, black children, be careful with them being at this park without supervision.Ive been going to this park about 3 years now. I notice that there has been a Harris County Constable parked there this week.I saw that he a young black man pulled over in the actual parking lot. I asked the young man what the issue was. He said that the constable pulled him over because he did not use a turn signal when going into a parking lot. After the officer was done harassing this young man, I noticed that the officer was generally pulling anyone else over that did turn on their turning signal.I love this park. I give it 2 stars as an indication to decent black people that Americas greatest symbol of racism, evil, and wickedness (policeis doing their best to now manifest evil at this park.
My kids enjoyed it, playground a little old, but okay.
We love it here. It’s so open and relaxing. It feels like you’re on an island 🏝. Everyone is exercising, smiling with family, and just enjoying the sights. We drive about 45min here every week. It’s unlike any other park I’ve been to.
Its a park, it was clean, there are Poke stops a Pokemon gym, and bathrooms. All in all a great park!
A great place to do FBI VIDEO TIPS and think about all my cowboy friends! 😍
Nice park lots of space could have more picnic tables .
Its calm, I love it I take my kids there all the time
Lots of bare trees, but also lots of picnic tables and a small walking trail. Nice.
This is a really nice little park with restrooms, drinking fountain, swings, walking trail, picnic tables, handicap accessible picnic tables, dog friendly, has some covered seating areas for when its hot & sunny & a great place to hang out and spin stops & a gym for Pokémon Go.
Nice quiet place to walk/run. Close to .5 mi dirt trail. Also has large gazebo, picnic tables, outdoor restoom, and small playground. Something for everyone.
Multiple sections, this park has several lakes created by adding retention ponds on Braes bayou. Well wooded, paved trails and a playground. Lots of people use it for fishing, hiking, walking and biking.
Very pretty park with lots of open space! There are also nice tables and benches positioned to have a perfect view of the sunset. There are also many parking spaces available, so it’s never a hassle for parking
Absolutely my favorite park in Houston. It’s been a place of reflection, deep talks with friends and God and just an overall place of serenity and happiness for me. Also the best sunsets ever! See for yourself. 💛
Its a nice quaint park by the toll way. A few gazebos and good if you need to get some laps in.
It was quiet , peaceful and very clean. My granddaughter had a great time playing .
Its pretty peaceful out there and it has a nice track to walk around. Wish it had a basketball cour but besides that its good
I love this local Alief park. It is a natural park with big open space for you to walk/jog. They have a big hill that you can climb to the top where it overlooks the beautiful lake and fields.
Enjoy bringing my dog so that we both can get some steps in. (And yes, I ALWAYS pick up after my dog). There’s enough trees to breakup those hot, sunny days. I just wish there was more shade and n the parking lot.
I love this park, is a really good park for walks, runs and it has good shades from the trees, but lately restrooms hasnt been quite cleaned properly, small gazebo has been adopted and vandalized for some people smoking, doing drugs drinking, and they have taken that gazebo as their daily home for the last 6 months, they arrive at 8am and leave until 7pm 7 days a week, no one can use the gazebo because they there putting fear in people.
Really enjoyed this park. Lots of benches, trees, and a dirt trail perfect for a stroll or run. A couple of gazebos, tables, a few charcoal grills, and playgrounds for the kids. Theres even a building for restrooms! No trails for bike riding here, but just half a block up at Phase II of the park is a gigantic location (7 mile trail!for cycling and scenic views. Only downside might be the proximity to the Westpark tollway, but the traffic almost serves as white noise. There is also an open field just across the street where one could find plenty of space for a game of catch, a yoga class, or some activity that would require a bit of space. Plenty of trees over there too.
Very fun but can everyone do you community a favor and stop littering. It makes us look bad and leaves a bad impression on our youth. It also damages the future of our planet.
Very nice park. I would recommend this park for a social gathering only if you wear a mask and try to social distance as much as possible.
I love how long the track is it just keep going and going i think its just under 5 miles Once you start you cant stop you have to keep going and there arent many benches to sit on along the track very few they have a lot of different route you can take if you want to switch things up one day. Its a big open space not to woody which I love and a few hill with swings and benches at the top really nice Only thing I didn’t like is there are 2 small dogs that roam the park area and it detours me from walking there. Idk if they aggressive are not. But all together really great park.
Good place to go walking. I have a rare lung disease. My first day back walking and it was peaceful. Not a lot of ppl just how I like it
Nice and quite, however the fact some people walk their dogs without a leash is a problem! Some people have a fear of dogs or maybe just doesnt want the dog to impose on them. People should be more mindful of others point blank!
Nice little park with a bathroom and a track. There are 2 little playgrounds. A huge gazebo. A small gazebo with outlet plugs. I thi k there is a 3rd gazebo. Picnic tables and a water fountain.
This is one of my family’s favorite park .Its beautiful full of nature ,peaceful, perfect place for walk while enjoying the nature’s beauty .It has a beautiful playarea for kids
Nice fenced park with lots of trees. A great place to walk or relax. The walking trail is the perfect distance for me and my dog. Never overcrowded. Well kept except for the kids playground.
Big open spaces are perfect for long hikes and sunset views. Kids park is small, little or no landscaping and lots of bugs after sundown. Spend some money!
Nice running path, lighted. Goes around park approximately 1/2 per lap. Closes @ 10pm. Friendly people. Great maintenance.
Beautiful place to hang out with friends and family. Kids will love this place.
Great park to walk. A lot of different trails so it doesnt get boring. Playground looked clean, overall maintenance is well kept. Just wish there was a map, I had to open Google maps to figure out how to get back to my car.
Even though theres no designated dog area, the entire Park is fenced in... Plenty of open space, and my ex lives near by, so I can do the stalker style drive by just to see whats poppin over there ... J/K love ya Pamanda!
I love this little park. Me and my fiance had our first lil date at this park almost 6 years.. Great walking or jogging trail. The grills are good for some quick bbq. Restrooms are usually clean.
The most important thing to know when coming here is to DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE.IF YOU DO PEOPLE WILL BREAK INTO YOUR VEHICLE, and FIND WHERE YOU HID THEM.DONT BE STUPID AND THINK IT WONT HAPPEN TO YOU.ITS NOT IF......ITS A MATTER OF WHEN. And if you have left stuff in your vehicle, and nothing has happened yet. Then you have been very fortunate.** The park is only as safe as you make it. Dont be a victim.Dont bring cash, credit cards, social security cards,or anything you dont want to disappear.PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SURROUNDINGS and you should be fine.AGAIN if you FAIL TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE and your vehicle gets broken into, dont look for a Pity party for your own stupidity. For Christ sake its Houston people and not the best surrounding area of town.Great place just make sure you do not leave valuables in your car, at this park unless you want them to disappear. Playgrounds for the kids. Do not enter the park before 7AM and after 10PM, as you run the risk of a large even when the gates are still open. The ticket is $300.
Are you a photographer looking to get some nice outdoors photos? Or a birder? This park is great for all of that and also a very nice place to take a walk.
I go here to ride my bicycle, try not to go to early when all the families and dog walkers are out, nice and quiet, well maintained, clean and convenient if you live close by, retention ponds are large and lots of fish and wild life, mostly birds, however beware of alligators the sign says.
Small park, grass kept cut, bathroom cleaned daily, covered area for eating. The park has lights to allow it to be open till 10 PM. Play area for kids.
The park is lovely. There is a long track with plenty of outlets if youre unable or dont have the time to go far. There are benches if you need to stop and rest. Lots of folks go on the weekends, elders as well as the young. It has a peaceful feel to it. I totally enjoy this park and its a bonus that I live nearby.
Great little park. I fly my drones/quadcopters here from time to time with friends and it serves our purpose. Seems well maintained and has a lot to keep the little ones busy. I dont want to recommend this park too much so it doesnt get so crowded that I cannot go use the park to fly anymore lol. All kidding aside it is a great park.
Great park if you goto the opposite side of the street from where the main park is Ive had some of my best first person view racing drone session here and I go almost every weekend still to fly!!! Dog friendly too and a great park. Also eagles come to these parks pretty often too and thats a cool site to see
Please check this park out. It stretches for miles, with a great view of hills and lakes. Its safe. The constables are present. The groups of people are decent and minding their own business.
Love it!! Love it! 5 mile long running/waking/biking trial of nature at its best!! We love this park! My kids ask to go everyday!
This is a fairly new park so currently its in good shape, but it doesnt look like it will stay that way. The playground structures are made of cheap plastic and probably wont last long. Its on an awkward strip of land alongside the Westpark so you get to enjoy loud traffic noise. Youll stand out here if you arent showing at least four inches of boxer shorts above your baggy pants.
There are hundreds of ant mounds in all shapes and sizes. Indeed, they range from flat to volcano in appearance. Watch where your kids play! PRO TIP: Bring your own poison because no one else does.
Been coming here for over 15 years. My favorite park anywhere locally. Great for families, lots of shade, friendly atmosphere. Walking trail is very comfortable as well. They do a great job of maintaining the park as well.
This park is nice, if you are a runner and want the safety of a nice fence in the early morning hours or in the evening.. However, it can still be kinda creepy to have to run/walk here at night, as it is closed off, there are a lot of trees, and it seems like this is where vagrants seem to like to sleep. During the day time, this is not a half bad place to come and get in a good jog. After school hours, as a parent, the park is nice, and not too over crowded. On the weekends, there are a lot of family parties held here. It can get loud, and quite annoying if you are look for a quiet place to enjoy the outdoors. All in all I give this park 3 out of 5, simply because its not the best, but it is far from being the worst as well.
