Schöne Ruine einer frühchristlichen Basilika. Leider war sie geschlossen, als wir vor Ort waren.Dennoch kann man sie auch von außen,die einzelnen Bereiche sehr gut erkennen.

Sehenswerte archäologische Stätte mit Mosaiken, Wandbemalung und Säulen. In einem Flyer werden die drei Phasen des Baus erklärt. Eintritt frei.

Een must see. interessante opgraving van een kerk. Mooie mozaïek vloer. Toegang is gratis. Er is geen donatie box?! Als je in de buurt bent, zeker gaan!

A historical place which no one should miss. Its not big but its full of history. The mosaic that youll see there its unique. You can parking near the Basilica for free and the entrance its free too. The guide is an extraordinary man, hell tell you everything about the Basilica. I recommend it! Enjoy!

Definitely worth visiting!Just 20-30 mins are enough to walk around and can enjoy the beautiful mosaic and marble decorations which are wonderfully preserved!Entrance is free.

Historical place, 4-5th century ruins. Easy to reach from the beach, only 5 to 10 minutes. A piece of history that must be seen.

È lunico sito archeologico che abbiamo incrociato casualmente. Come tutti i reperti archeologici ha il fascino che ognuno di noi può provare di fronte alle vecchie rovine. Cè però un bellissimo mosaico che rende il sito degno di ammirazione. Lingresso è libero ed il custode, molto gentile, fornisce un depliant con le informazioni della basilica.

Nice little spot to see. To be honest theres not much there but worth the 15min walk from Nikiti beach. And before it theres a beautiful little church as well

Interesting local archaeological site.

Αξίζει να πάτε.Ο δρόμος είναι πολύ καλός μέχρι εκεί. Δυστυχώς ήταν κλειστά,και το μόνο που μπόρεσα είναι να βγάλω μερικές φωτογραφίες απ την περίφραξη...Αφού φθάσετε μέχρι εκεί,πηγαίνετε και στο εκκλησακι του Αγιου Γεωργίου,που είναι μερικά μέτρα μόνο πιο κάτω.

Εξαιρετικός αρχαίος ναός σπάνιας ομορφιάς. Επιβάλλεται η επίσκεψη του

Oduševljen sam arheološkim lokalitetim koji je dosta očuvan i dobro uređen za posetioce. Predlažem obavezan obilazak ukoliko letujete u Nikitiju.

Allen een opgraving van een kerk. Was gesloten.

Klein maar zeer fraaie opgraving van een basiliek. Fraaie mozaïeken!

Small but has very nice mosaics. Some painted plaster remains on a couple walls. There are a few graves.There is a smaller bascillica just 60 meters further down with a newer church built within those ruins.

Not much to see.

Nice well preserved basilica from 5th century. Very beautiful mosaic floor and lot of marble columns. Entrance is free. Worth a visit.

Amazing place to visit.

Amazing place. For everyone who likes historical pressures - definitely go. This place is not that popular as a lot of Greek monuments, but it is definitely not less important or impressive ❤️

Ανάμεσα στα αιωνόβια λιόδεντρα, αχτίδες από το ακόμα πιο μακρινό παρελθόν, τα ερείπια της Βασιλικής του Επισκόπου Σοφρωνίου, και λίγο πιο κει τα ερείπια και άλλου ναού των πρώτων χρόνων του Χριστιανισμού με το νεόχτιστο εξωκλήσι του Αγίου Γεωργίου μέσα του, αχτίδες που μας δείχνουν πως πολύ πριν απο τα λιόδεντρα, άνθρωποι ζούσαν στον τόπο αυτό και μας παρουσιάζουν τα έργα τους.

Visited September 2020. Saw the sign on the big road. Follow to this site buried in the village of Nikiti. It was surrounded by fence. No entrance. Closed. You can see inside. Picture turned out ok. Can see lots from the fence. The mosaic floors. Everything under cover to protect from environment.

Αφημενος στην τύχη των κλεφτών κ των στοιχείων της φύσης χώρος...Κατά τα άλλα ενδιαφέρον. Με αξιόλογα ευρήματα αρχαιολογικός χώρος.

You cant actually go in - just look through the fence.

Like many Greek archaeological sites, this is permanently closed and can only be viewed from the road.

Lovely 5th century Basilika ruin with interesting mosaics and remnants of original decorative element.Unfortunately, this seems to be ever closed for visitors. Only peeking from the fence. When around you should have a look if you interested in this kind of stuff. 😊

Wat meer uitleg en plattegronden zou het beter te begrijpen Te maken. Maar altijd bijzonder om te zien wat er allemaal in de bodem verstopt zit en na 4 eeuwen weer opgegraven wordt

Nice ruins, we could look at from the railings but unfortunately it was closed when we were there.

Very cool but it appears to never be open.I saw someone there a few years ago but ever since every time Ive passed its been empty.

Very nice historic place with a lovely mosaic floor. Unfortunately it was close from visitors but you can still see everything from the distance.
