Arch City Tavern in Columbus

The food has good flavor but every time I’ve been here the food is never hot. It comes out warm at best for appetizers and main entrees. Also their mixed drinks are not great. $12 for a cup of ice and about 2 sips of drink.

Extremely expensive. Burgers start at 16$ and are not large and the potato chips are a cop out for higher quality fries at that price imo. Any semi strong beer and you are looking at a small glass , "13oz" which looked more like 10 max, for 7-8$ . Will not be coming back with my own will.

Great food, loved the bison burger. Paired well with my Land Grant Oktoberfest brew. Terrific service.

The server Lexi successfully provided me with the worst possible service I’ve seen in 10 years. Food took 50 minutes to get to the table and when it was inedible they were gracious enough to offer me an $8 discount on an $18 burger I didn’t eat. Maybe don’t cut your last server at 9:30 when you have 10 2 tops and 7 other tables.

Great service and atmosphere. Brussels sprouts hurt my stomach, though. Way too greasy. Black bean burger was solid!!

I thought the food here was solid but not great. I wasn’t really wowed with either the burger or fries. They had good service, the waitress did a good job. The lighting seemed a little off, even considering it’s a bar. A bit too dark. I’d definitely come back again.

My drink was excellent, but it took a while since its Friday night. Would like to try the food. Will return.

Spinach salad was fine - spinach was nice & fresh. I didnt care for the pizza with fig & goat cheese but it was an experimental order for me so no worries. My big problem was the Brussel sprouts which was actually what I was most excited about. They were clearly made by someone who does not actually like Brussel sprouts. They were fried in an insane amount of grease - when I received them I actually rubbed them down in a bath towel to try to save them but the oil had penetrated the leaves leaving nothing but oil. Total waste. :(

I’ve been to Arch city enough times to try a good portion of the menu and I’ve never gotten something I don’t like. Pizza and fries are my personal favorite and staff is always friendly.

I’m the guy that orders a burger at a steakhouse. That’s how much I love burgers. The Arch City Burger is the BEST burger I have ever had. I tried to be 100% mindful as I ate it, but instead I got on the horn and told my closest people that they NEEDED to have this burger. Paired with house made chips that partly crunched / partly melted in my mouth and this meal will go down as one of my all-time favorites. Top it all off with a great beer selection and friendly, attentive service… who could possibly ask for more?

I walked in to give the Tavern a shot and because I hadnt eaten lunch and was quite hungry. The restaurant was about half-full, and the friendly hostess seated me at the bar. In fact, she recommended a seat closer to the front door where I could enjoy a partial view of the Sun setting while still sitting in the shade. Very thoughtful! My Amish chicken sandwich with chips hit the spot, and my two flight-sized beers - the Arch Tavern lager and Homestead porter - were also refreshing. The price was right for the quality of my food/drink plus overall experience. Very good atmosphere for a chill or intimate outing for a group of friends.

Called 3 times for takeout and nobody answered so I went in to place it to go thinking it would be quick since I wanted a bowl of French onion soup. It took 20 minutes and I watched the host sit with the phone on the stand not answering it. On top of that the French onion barely had any cheese and was maybe 4 oz. That is not a BOWL of soup. Terrible experience and would love a refund otherwise forget about my business ever again. I’ll make sure to spread the word and yelp about it. Not my first bad experience here either.

Food was okay but had better for a cheaper price. Lobster Mac tasted like it was a microwaved meal. Seating was cramped and uncomfortable chairs. Was so cramped the waiter knocked over our drinks and it got all over the table. Was too loud for a date night. Their fries are pretty good however they werent fresh when we got ours.

Best happy hour in the Short North area!

Enjoyed our time here when visiting. Every bar was completely packed on the way up the street to here. When I looked in, there was one table open, and definetly wasnt shoulder to shoulder (perfect size crowd). Got some late night food and drinks, and was able to have a conversation with friends. A very good time. Service was great as well.

Best fries in Columbus!!!I love this place. Cool environment with different pictures of an old Columbus. A nice variety of beers. Great food!I really love the Home-cut Parmesan Truffle Fries.

This is my Monday go to. They have a great happy hour and a killer burger and on Monday their burgers are just $7! The service is quick and efficient and the bear selection is really good. Lots of local options. I have tried much else on the menu aside from the burger and beer haha but that much is great!

Delicious food, arch city burger, spinach salad, truffle fries. All seemed freshly prepared and tasted fresh. Salmon was cooked perfectly, burger meat was delicious. Service was friendly and fast enough.

Went in for drinks and dinner. Our waiter was kind but not that great. Took a little while to get drinks and it seemed other tables that got in after us got their entrees before we got our apps. Food was alright, kettles chips were sub par at best. Overall nice atmosphere maybe Ill try again and see if it was a fluke!!

A nice place with relaxed atmosphere. The food options are diverse. The service is superb. The missing star is for the minimal portion of lobsters in the lobster mac n cheese and for the average size and taste of the burger.

I really like this place. Great gastro pub type food that is pleasantly prideful of their culinary creativity. Yes, a lot of alliteration to make your mind as happy as your belly will be (and your taste buds). Awesome happy hour for deals on food and drinks - had the Smoked Tavern Old Fashioned, it was good but not super stellar. Got the pork sliders with truffle fries - absolutely delicious. Service was great, food came quick and overall had a great time. Came back two days later just to drink beer. Will be back!

Nice place. Went in during happy hour and got a 7 dollar burger. Me and my friend didnt know they had deals like that but it was a good burger. Beer list was decent as well.

Stopped in with my son and they were very busy.We were able to get a seat pretty quickly. The food was really good.The staff was super friendly.

Beautiful decor. Exposed brick, oak trim and tables. Food is delicious. Great value at happy hour. Good customer service. If you have not frequented, bring friends for enjoyable atmosphere.

Ive been here a few times. The food has always been solid. The staff is just attentive enough without being annoying. The Happy Hour deals are on point. I highly recommend the lamb sliders. I shared them with my 14 and 11 year olds and they loved them.

My wife and I decided to try this place because they were known for their Brussel Sprouts. We were seated quickly despite the large crowd and were able to comfortably seat near the back by a window to appease our covid concerns.Great food, and great service was provided. We got lamb and pork sliders with truffle fries, and yes the Brussel Sprouts were amazing!

I love arch city every time I come! The pear and Pomegranate spiced marg is so good! Jenna is also amazing she made sure everything was good and that we were well taken care of!

Love, love, love Arch City Tavern! Great Chefs specials on the weekend and a great happy hour spot! I have never been disappointed by a single dish.

Went here for a game watch. Went for the ND game in the afternoon it wasn’t too crowded and they didn’t have the sound on but still a nice environment with friends. For Ohio State Game afterwards it was much busier turned on the sounds of the game. The staff and bartenders were very very friendly. Prices were on par with what I saw other places.I would return here.

Came as a walk in on a Monday, they had a $7 burger special. I got a burger was pretty good with brussels spouts, i feel like the Brussels spouts are over cooked has no flavor. My boyfriend got a burger he enjoyed it. I got an amaretto sour, did not taste the alcohol at all. Would not order again. The waitress took long to tend to us, i had to flag her down so she could take our order. Would i come back? No, nothing about the experience was amazing. Worth the money? I mean $7 for a burger is a good deal so cant complain about the price.

Best burger Ive had in Columbus. We were there with a party of 10, service was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meals and dessert was fantastic. Very friendly and competent staff. Nice ambience, busy without being too loud. Great beer list and nice selection of liquor and house cocktails.

Great food and drink menu , really good service, and cool interior design. One negative is the pricing. I understand you pay for quality but some of the food seemed to be overpriced simply because of location. That being said I would highly recommend this place. The Lamb sliders were delicious and packed a lot of flavor into a small sandwich.

Drinks are good, atmosphere is chill, the burger I had which unfortunately I forgot the name of was amazing

if you are an IPA person, check its Brew Dog. Also Salmon sandwich was really good!

Never had food here that was less than great. The weekend specials are top tier. Regular menu is amazing. House cocktails are great. Always busy so please be patient with staff. A little expensive but I always leave happy.

I tried their Jalapeno Burger and Fried Egg Burger and both were awesome! They have a wonderful selection of draft beers that you should try. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you like spicy food try their Southwestern Spring Rolls!

I went there with a couple of friends on Monday. The Monday deal is so great and the burgers are only $7. I tried both the one with the goat cheese and also the one with jalapeños. I liked both of them. The homemade kettle chips were so delicious as well.

Busy, for a reason! Reservations are available and I highly recommend if you can get your foot in the door to sit down and eat, don’t pass up a chance to try the Parmesan, parsley and truffle oil fries w chili aïoli absolutely to die for. I really enjoyed my burger, and would come back again for the lobster mac & cheese in a heartbeat. During happy hour it was bustling and lively, made for a great lunch in the city! Definitely stop here if you can.

Great restaurant with amazing staff and music taste. I went there on Friday and Brena (my serverwas nothing short of amazing! Their draft beer selection was very impressive, so as their burger selection. If you are a burger lover like myself, I highly recommend their signature Arch City burger, medium well. It was super juicy! I also highly recommend subing chips for garlic-parm fries! It was one of the best burger meals I have had in a while!

Amazing food with a great ambiance! My go to order here is always the lamb sliders with the truffle fries. They are mouthwatering and very well balanced. A must try if you are a fan of lamb. This place also has fantastic local beer to help compliment the sliders. The services is also impeccable and always on point. I will be back here again!!

Delicious burger week pit stop! The aioli was on point and the burgers delicious and smokey. Crunchy thin fries were excellent!

We stopped in for takeout to support local business during this social distancing period. We got to Columbus from Toledo, OH. We were hungry and thought we would try a new place. We order the House burger for $14, a regular hamburger with a coke to go. Bill came to $27+ I paid $30. No take out lid for the $3 coke, driving down the street I notice the coke has an awful taste, like youre co2 needs replaced. Hamburgers are on small regular size buns. I believe the $14 one was supposed to be on a special bun? We received no napkins Anyway, for the price what a ripoff! Ive never been more disappointed. I should have listed to my other half and walked down to Melted Bar and Grill. Cokes are $2 hopefully not flat and perhaps more food for $30. Very, very disappointed wont be back.

This place was a great surprise...going in for a drink and getting to enjoy some delicious food was a treat. Monday is $5 burger day and the one with the goat cheese was amazing. We ended up ordering a second one. Dont miss the truffle fries or the roasted brussel sprouts. Also enjoyed a bowl of French onion soup. Its served in an onion, which was very cool.

AMAZING!! Arch City never disappoints but this weekend I especially had a great time. We went last night for dinner. The place was quite busy, as expected on a Saturday night, but the manager/owner was extremely nice and accommodating. We waited less than we expected. I had the seafood cioppino that was on the special and it was phenomenal. Brussel sprouts were a 10/10 as well. Service was great as usual..Best place !! Well definitely be back soon.

Its dark in here, but they put a candle at every table. The french onion soup is well-priced at $6, and its served inside an actual onion. The signature Arch City burger is quite good, but the chips are not great and upgrading to a good side like truffle fries costs extra. The lamb sliders were excellent as an entree.

Not been before and was more than happy to discover the excellent food and cocktails. Best burger Ive had for years, and the fig pizza was excellent too.

Food looked excellent and tasted excellent. I had a Bison burger medium rare. Their breakfast pizza looked amazing and thats not even my thing. They have this wonderful blackberry unsweetened tea. They are pricey but worth a try.
