I loved my stay,the place is great with a beautiful view of lake Bunyonyi,the cottages are neat & so beautiful inside,food is so tasty,nice breakfast,staff are so friendly & welcoming,ooooh I miss Arcadia Lodge Bunyonyi!

Beautiful view and very nice coffee. The food prices are a bit higher than average, but the place is clearly targeted for high end, and still affordable in European standards.

This place has spectacular views of Lake Bunyoni. The lodge we stay in itself was also stunning. The best water pressure we had in Uganda lol. Wifi throughout the resort, very clean rooms. Restaurant was super nice with a great patio. Workers were lovely, food was good as well. Would return

The view is heavenly, Arcadia over looks Lake Bunyonyi and it’s islands which have a mystical feel to them as the sun rises & the morning mist slowly reveals their beauty. Found that the lodge has been revamped, it’s now more exquisite with the wooden cabins to die for. Wish I had stayed longer, great service & ambiance. Oh I almost forgot to mention that when the morning skies are clear, you are able to see the majestic mountain Muhavura ranges & its peak in the horizon, breath taking sights all round.

Its a very beautiful place.. The views are magical. You are able to see almost all islands on L Bunyonyi.

Good place to visit location wise. Lodge is required to upgrade certain facilities compared to rates charged. However better place once best place of Africa 🌍.

Ive been to Arcadia Lodges a few times over the past 5 years and watched it improve and become more and more beautiful over time. The view of Lake Bunyonyi from here is absolutely stunning and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. All I can hear as Im writing this review are birds chirping near and far. The food has improved over time too and the staff are welcoming and efficient. Next time Ill come for the weekend and not just lunch on my way to the border!

This place is too lit. The views are breath taking and to die for. The cottages over look Lake Bunyonyi... The real WAKANDA.Beauty is in the detail. The new suit of cottages even have fine timber shipped all the way from Indonesia. Yes... Its exotic. Making the experience that much richer.The rooms are something else... With bathrooms (shower/jacuzzioverlooking lake Bunyonyi.This is a must go destination.Too it off with the recent renovation, this is the perfect getaway.

Amazing place, really great food and an unbelievable view.Rooms were wonderful,Staff was great to work with but the internet/WiFi really sucked and couldnt connect while in the room though i hope its something they can work on quickly.

I loved our whole stay here.The management was quite accommodating and helpful especially since we were with our baby. The food was tasty. The view is magical and to die for. I cant wait to come back here.

DO NOT STAY AT ARCADIA.Don’t let the beautiful view convince you otherwise. The staff, starting with their Kampala office (Arnoldand on-site management team (Kai), are dishonest and unobliging.We booked and paid for a party of eight—and brought and paid for an additional two guests, totaling 10—two months in advance. We requested rooms on the top tier of the property and had our request confirmed on the initial agreement as well as when I called weekly to confirm our top-tiered rooms. Despite calling to confirm on the day of our arrival, the 10 of us were promptly taken to the bottom-tiered rooms. An on-site manager was not at the property even though Arnold at the Kampala office twice told me that the on-site manager would help rectify the issue. Needless to say, our stay took place on the bottom level.The food. If you want to wait 2-3 hours for your meal to be served, then this is the place to be! We put our meal orders in 4 hours ahead of the time we planned to eat (e.g., for supper, we ordered at 3:30pm and planned to eat at 7:30pm), and then had to wait an additional two hours for the food to be served. In the example given above, our dinner was served at 9:30pm. Not ideal for the four children that were with us! Oh, and the menu. Expect the menu to have ≈ 50% of what’s available. And what you do order, also remember that you’re playing Russian Roulette; three of our party members fell sick with food poisoning.We left only 12 articles of clothing for washing, and 11 were returned. Some of the workers saw the missing shirt, but when the laundry lady was asked, it was nowhere to be seen. The on-site manager said that he would be sure to send it to us when it is located. Another lie. Our flight to the States leaves in 36 hours.Our three days and two nights in Arcadia were quite memorable, all for the wrong reasons. I understand that traveling in a third world country requires a certain level of patience and go-with-the-flow mentality, but in my four years of living in sub-Saharan Africa, I have never experienced anything as bad as this. Especially at a pricey place ($1500 total cost).It’s a shame that such a beautiful setting that overlooks Lake Bunyounyi is thrashed by a terrible, terrible accommodation. Arcadia has so much potential, but as long as the management perpetuates a dishonest and unobliging culture, the business will suffer. It will continue to rot from the head to the toes. And I am going to do all I can to make sure my friends, family, colleagues, tour operators, and anybody who reads this, refrains from wasting their time and money at Arcadia.

😡WHERE TO BEGIN?!?!?The beautiful view is enough to get you to come back but the service SHOULD SCARE you away!The staff, starting with their Kampala office (Arnoldand on-site manager (Kai), are dishonest and unaccommodating. Just tell the truth and what is really going on!We booked and paid for a party of 8 and brought 2 additional guests which we also paid for. The reservation was made two months in advance. We requested rooms on the top of the property. This was confirmed at the time of booking as well as multiple times leading up to our arrival. We even called the day of our arrival and it was confirmed we would be at the top of the property.When we arrived we were taken to the rooms at the lowest part of the property. Don’t get me wrong, the views are still amazing but not what we expected or confirmed multiple times.We were told by the owner Arnold at the head office in Kampala that the on-site manager would correct the issue and was on his way to our room. We waited for 20 minutes and still no manager. We called Arnold again who said he was still on his way. We waited again and still nothing. Finally, we went up to the reception lodge where we were told the manager had already gone home. SERIOUSLY??? If he isn’t there just tell us. Then we wouldn’t have waited for over an hour past 11pm in hopes of correcting the situation and just gone to bed.The food. We waited 2-3 hours for our meals to be served. Not just once but EVERY meal we had for 3 days and 2 nights. We put our meal orders in 4 hours ahead of the time we planned to eat and still waited an additional two hours for the food to be served. Not ideal for the four children that were with us! And to top it off, 3 of the 10 in our group fell sick with food poisoning.On our last night, dinner was supposed to be at 7:30. It wasn’t until 9:30 that we got our food. We were as patient as possible and found it quite ironic that our server’s name was Patience. 😃 We had a good chuckle about that!NEVER ONCE did ANYONE address, correct, or do anything to fix the issue!I understand that traveling in a third world country requires a high level of patience and go-with-the-flow attitude but I have never experienced anything as bad as this. Especially at a pricey place ($1500+ total cost).It’s a shame that such a beautiful setting that overlooks Lake Bunyounyi was overshadowed by the terrible treatment we received. Arcadia has so much potential, but as long as the management perpetuates a dishonest culture, the business will suffer.Let this be your warning not to waste your vacation time and money at Arcadia.

Dinner was superb! The café latte was heavenly! The staff were warm and courteous. I shall definitely visit again soon!

Enjoyed every bit of this places. Perfect and stunning views of Lake Bunyonyi.You get to wake up in the morning to the best views and go to bed with earth literally smiling at you. Its an amazing place. The accommodation is great for both family and individual travellers and the food is great 👍

Absolutely stunning views on Lake Bunyonyi. The lodges are located at the very top of the hill, so best views are guaranteed. A friendly staff and lots of activity options. The room interiors are fantastic!

Such incredible views of lake Bunyonyi that it took my breath away! The rooms are clean and luxurious, but the staffs of the restaurant needs to be trained.

Have keep their bar stable, i have been using this hotel for now four years but have never been disapointed, my clients have always been happy, ok to be brief the hotel has the best views of the lake in uganda and to be more specific they have upgraded their restourant area to give better views to clients on their food time, try them out while at lake bunyonyi and tell them its richard of musana tours and travel who recomeneded the place, boom; you get VVVIP treatment at the same rates

If you are planning to visit Lake Bunyonyi, that is definitely a place I would recommmend. The rooms are very well located to give you an amazing view of the lake. The service is also world class, from the time you arrive until you leave. The restaurant also serves nice food.

A horrible and terrifying experience, there were no any precautions towards COVID 19, no face mask, no sanitiziers.we requested a bout cruising to watch the islands at the lake but instead they took us to an island where hospital is located, the island was full of sick people with all kind of deasies such HIV. The hotel is irresposible of their client safety. they have also bad attitude towards an important matter such as hygiene and safety. the food was extremaly bad and filthy so we skipped the lunch.highly disrecommended

I can not express how beautifully serene this place is .you have to see it for yourself.It has the most breathtaking hilltop view that you can never get tired of . You have to see it for yourself to understand what i mean

Arcadia lodges are in a league of their own. A class apart. World class luxury with the best view of L. Bunyonyi. Professional touch on everything. Artistically built. You can never ask for much.

If you wanna pay a visit to Lake Bunyonyi, dont take a minute when it comes to accommodation since this place is the answer. I also found myself giving the place 5 stars after a great experience. The view from the lake, great service, the greening from the trees also makes the place unforgettable.

The property itself is stunning. The views of the lake are amazing from the cottages, restaurant and grounds. The grounds are well-manicured and the reception area is very pretty upon arrival. Wifi is available in the restaurant/bar area only but is fairly slow. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are modern with plenty of hot water.During out stay there was also a "rave" even scheduled to be held at the restaurant which we were assured at check-in would be done by 11pm. However the unbelievably loud music, booming base and loud intoxicated guests was totally out of control until atleast 2am.Around 11:30pm a group of men started trying to break into our cottage through the door that connected our cottage to the one next door. We were yelling at them to stop (me and my female travel partnerhowever they continued to bang on the door and rattle the handle for nearly 45 minutes while clearly throwing some sort of party with around 10 people.We called management, the front desk and security over and over and over - no one would answer. I left multiple messages that our safety was being compromised and we needed someone to respond right away and no one did and no one ever called us back. It was absolutely terrifying.At dinner that same night we were charged for desserts that we asked for over 4 times from 2 different wait staff however never received. We also ordered extra water multiple times and couldnt get that either.We spoke at length with the manager the next morning to address the issue of paying for food we never received, dangers to our safety and almost a complete lack of sleep and nothing came of it. He assured us he would email us and never did. We didnt have our room comped, no discount on our rate, no offer to comp our meal - nothing.The property was so stunning it would have been one of the highlights of the trip had it not been for the very poor service and significant risk to our personal safety. Ive traveled internationally for many years and it was by far the most terrifying thing I have experienced to date.

I love this place. The cool breeze, the nice sunsets, the great view of the lake. The heights not forgetting state of the art cottages, nice drinks and great meals.

Loved the accommodation, the views over lake Bunyoni are stunning, the welcome is warm. Just not so keen on the dining end. Food mediocre. The deck by the bar must be a great place to while away a warm evening. Only stayed the one night so bear that in mind!

Awesome place. Spectacular views and the service, lodges are equally awesome. Worth the stay. Pricing is fair for the place, negotiating is also possible. Food portions are big, though we were full board we had to half our orders. The manager is so helpful, amazing guy. It was our daughters birthday and he made it a very memorable one. Thank you Mr. Kai.

The best view of the lake, this is a must visit. If youve seen that gorgeous aerial photo of the lake this is where it was taken from. I take a boda there, get lunch, then there are paths to walk down right to the hotel area of the lake.

Very good food, good service, very cool and calm atmosphere and the best overall view of the lake below.
