Low-key, scenic sandy beach with a picnic area, public restrooms & a free parking area.
See that cave in the rock? Do NOT go in there to pee unless there has been a recent high tide. You have been warned. 👃🦨 It is popular!
We have driven past this area many times but have never stopped here. This time was not different as we did not stop her by car but we did walk all the way down here from our house in Cannon beach close to Tolivanna Inn. It is a quiet stretch of beach and is very beautiful. We will have to start here next time and walk to Hug Point. It is amazing to have so many beach assess points along the coast.
Fun beach. Protected from strong winds
Surprisingly, one of the better beaches in the area. Not as crowded, surfers, seals and long, wide expansive beach with lots of starfish remains.
Great beach with views of Lion Rock and Jockey Cap.
Felt like a private beach as your walk further down the beach from the parking site. Saw a couple of camp fires. The coast is still relatively cool in the summer time at around mid 70s. A great place to visit while Portland is going through a heat dome.
Beautiful and calming place. Short hike down to the beach and away from PA passing cars; very relaxing. You can build fires on the beach. We found so many beautiful, intact shells. There are opportunities for some of the most beautiful sunset photos. Definitely a place we will come back to.
Gorgeous! I loved the tide pools and I loved the wide open spaces with the forested cliff backdrop.
Short walk to the beach area, we have to pack our corgi out because she gets tired. Was a nice little area to explore. Saw a few starfish & crabs. The oregon coast is beautiful. Se beaches u have tp get to early or later to get a parking spot. Depends on tide tables also.
The most beautiful beach that youll probably never see! Its one of the left coasts best kept secrets
I love this place! Even when there are many cars in the parking lot the beach Is so large you can find a space of your own. Great place to run the dog and yourself.
Very busy (it was memorial day weekend- so its to be expected). There is not a ton of parking. Some of the pathways were a little muddy so be prepared. Still a beautiful place so enjoy the ocean.
Absolutely beautiful. Nest ti get up close to rocks and look at tidal pools. Steps can be tricky for disabled person or anyone with a bad knee
My favourite beach on the coast so far! Easy to get down to, not far from the parking area. Gorgeous, sandy with some rocks higher up. Great for groups and families, my friends and I set up a portable firepit and stayed until dark to look at stars.Vault washrooms by the cars, not very clean but not unexpected.
I recommend just about every beach on the 101. Esprit the winter time. 5 beaches we hit this trip 2 people max walking it with us. This time of year is great for us and our dogs. They can roam free off the leash.
Its a great view of the beach. Nice trail with restrooms and benches.
One of the most interesting and beautiful beaches Ive ever had the pleasure to enjoy in my life.Be careful slowing down to pull into the small parking lot..Sneaker waves are very common there...so are the rip tides , please exercise caution at all timesVery nice place to picnicup in the dry sand and if your lucky you might just find some small pieces of driftwood to take home !
What a beautiful protected spot to enjoy the beach! We spent a couple of hours playing in the surf and the sand. Lots of cool jellyfish too!
Such a gorgeous, sandy beach! It’s never too busy usually and our pup gets to run around and have a blast.
Great beach to visit. The scenery was gorgeous. Parking lot was a bit on the small side.
Great beach without so many people! If you close to the rocks you can see sea stars and anemones! Also a public restroom. Great spot!
Very relaxing, peaceful and very clean beach, not too crowded! Small parking lot, and public restroom. Great spot for families and dogs. We had a great time! ☀️🌞🕶🌅🌤🌦
Nice, clean beach. Have been here many times. It is very beautiful in calm clear weather.
A great beach but popular. Theres a small parking lot so it might be hard to find parking spots on summer weekends. Restrooms and shady area also at parking area. There is a steep but short path down to the beach. Its a pretty small beach at less than a mile long. When I went the beach was foggy, but it cleared up throughout the day. If you also like to climb rocks, there are a few of those, though some of them are covered in barnacles. Overall pleasant experience.
A couple small tide pools and cool scenery for a quick stop en route to Tillamook was a perfectly enjoyable side trip :)
Its best to visit during low tide, because when the water comes in theres a portion of the beach that becomes inaccessible. You also have to be careful because the water comes in quickly!! But its 100% worth the trip. Its so stunning here, and when I visited it was not NEAR as crowded as other beaches. Very peaceful, definitely recommend reserving a day for a visit to this beach :)
Very few people this morning, reached about 11am, just 3-4 cars in the parking lot as well. It became sunny just in time, was a bit windy though.
Great beach steps away from parking. Love that the sand is somewhat firm and very easy to walk on. On top of that, its beautiful.IG: @cookingchihuahua
I really dont want to leave this review but in the best interest of our planet and people I must share the piece of heaven my husband and I found about 2 years ago, so others can benefit from the healing vibes this beach so generously gives you. When you see it for the first time youll understand Its a world class beach with amazing walks to be had and views to take in. My favorite part is waiting till the tide is out so you can walk up and around the mountain at the South end of Arcadia beach and see the amazing views it gives of the beach next door and please be respectful when you visit her she is a 💎
Great beach and not to busy! This beach was beautiful, and parking lot with plenty of parking and quick access to the beach! Bathrooms are available. There are lots of rocks and pool tides scattered along the beach. We found a cool cave while exploring. Packed a lunch and found a nice spot on the beach to have lunch at with my boyfriend. I love the Oregon coast and this is a great spot to walk along the beach. Kid and family friendly.
As other people have mentioned this is a hidden gem indeed. You will see anything from crabs to jellyfish to starfish and you can even walk to Haystack Rock from the beach as well.
Slice of heaven tucked away down a sandy trail. Picnic tables, toilet, parking, bear boxes for garbage. Great view, cute trail down to the beach that has stairs. Less crowded than beaches to the north.
The entire Oregon Coast is a delight, but Arcadia Beach is my favorite spot. Nothing touristy to be found here - just a gravel parking lot and access to a spectacular stretch of beach. At the north end, rock outcroppings make their way to the waterline, and to the south, just sand and waves. A relative lack of other people just adds to the appeal of this beach.Note: for people who have not visited the coast, please be sure to NEVER turn your back on the waves... the ocean can appear calm at times, and raging at others (both beautiful to behold), but sneaker waves can come visiting at any time. Also, keep an eye on the tides if you are exploring on or near the rock faces at the north end of the beach - your route back to the parking lot may disappear under the surf.
This place is a gem! One thing that will make it a bit difficult is the lack of parking. It fills very fast and is very small so plan accordingly. The beach itself is absolutely wonderful. You can explore miles of it or just play in the tide pools. Getting down to the beach is a bit tough as the path is steep and eroded. I recommend coming when the Tide is heading out or Mid Tide. Also invest in some water proof hip high waders. I found mine for $30 and love walking in the ocean and rocks. Just have fun and enjoy the ocean
This beach is so beautiful! Its dog friendly. The beach was perfect for a long walk. I love the rocks there.
Insider tip: stop here and stroll on this beach for a little bit on your way down to Tillamok! Best beach close to Cannon Beach if you want to get away from the masses. Well, actuallyyou can walk to Arcadia Beach from Cannon Beach on the beach. Features: smaller parking lot, few steps down to the beach, several bigger rocks, tide pools and cliffs, restrooms and you can spot Haystack Rock in the distance.
Ill give a beach 5 stars, but there is not enough parking, so overall its 4/5 from me.
Absolutely breath taking. It was a first to the Pacific Ocean. Was very well kept, and no trash lying anywhere. We were there early and by the time we left at noon, there were a lot of people parking, but there is plenty of space for everyone.
Arcadia offers a far less crowded beach than neighboring Cannon Beach. Access requires the ability to navigate a series of hilly steps and stairs built into the hillside so it is unlikely a candidate for wheelchair access. A good walking beach with ample space for private gatherings. If you’re not a fan of crowded beaches and their attached towns with long waiting lines for bathrooms and restaurants, this is definitely a consideration. No restaurants but great for picnics. Parking is likely a challenge but not impossible (which probably keeps crowds to a minimum.
Good place to go and get on some flat beach. Not much of a drop off into the ocean. Watch out, though. The only way down is a steep dirt/gravel path, with stairs at the bottom. The stairs have large steps, and a drop from the last step to the ground.Update: parks and rec have removed the stairs and its now easier to get down to the beach.
This is a great beach to visit if you want to walk around. It is super flat and at low tide you can go almost anywhere. Be careful not to get trapped when the tide comes back in though.
Beautiful beachSo peaceful, clean perfectly fineWe had an amazing time there.I really recommend this place to anyone
Great beach. Steep path down but you park very close to sandy beach. Parking for only 50 cars or so, so literally cant be crowded. You need to get there early though 10:30 or so summer months to get a spot. Low tide is great for the tide pools and kids. Lion rock. Two pit bathrooms can get messy. Lots of beaches along that stretch to Manzanita so if this one is filled just keep heading south. Lovely coast.
My favorite spot. I love this beach. Long and open. Some creeks leading into it are the perfect spots to let the kid have some fun.
Beautiful beach. We arrived around low tide. It really looked a lot like a tropical beach. Restrooms available at the parking area.
This place was so cool. We could come here and hang out for hours having fun in the water, etc. I came with a camera and was not disappointed. The rocks were half hidden behind the rocks and was breathtaking. Kids were surfing with their parents and dogs were running with their owners having a blast. The only thing is I wish there was bathrooms there. Its a hike to get from the start of the trail and bathrooms to the beach. Heres some shots from that day.
In August with temperature still in the 60s, Arcadia beach seemed warmer than the surrounding area. Water is still freezing cold but the sand and air was warm at 1pm. It was sunny but with very little visibility due to the fog. Clean and not crowded. Loved hanging out with kids playing in the sand for a while.
Arcadia Beach was such a beautiful spot to stop at. Really worth getting out of your car and walking all around the area! When we were there it was a lot less populated than the area around Cannon Beach & Haystack Rock.
Nice little park for a walk along the beach. About a mile South of the park there is an old shipwreck to check out. You can usually see a couple of people surf fishing just off shore. The trail to access the beach is a little steep, so you need to be careful, but once you are on the beach it is nice and flat for walking.
This is my favorite beach! While the parking lot is in the smaller size and fills up fast, the beach never seems crowded. Easy to access the beach here. Love all the rocks and little pools of sea creatures. Wouldnt go as far as calling them tide pools. Lots of beach to walk on and let your dog run.
