Sultan Ahmet, Mimar Mehmet Ağa Cd. No:2, 34122 Fatih/İstanbul, Turkey, Istanbul
Traditional, buzzy market street lined with small stores selling spices, pottery, rugs & souvenirs.
Beautiful Bazaar in Istanbul, all the goods are beyond great. Just be careful when you ask about the prices and make sure the product is real not fake.
Nice place with shops which are for rich tourists :)
Good place with vintage shops but very crowded
Lots of beautiful products and tasty treats.
Better then Grand Bazar To Much Bargain in Istanbul. If you stay in Asia Side in the evening lot of problems even Taxi Drivers Black Mail. Out Side Arasta Bazar you can get first copy Ladies Shoes and Purse 👛.
Less busy good selection and reasonable priced
Smaller than Grand Bazaar but still very interesting.
Good place for local shopping. Inexpensive small souvenirs can be purchased..Good Turkish delight, spices and herbal tea avaliable..
Small, clean and expensive
Smaller than other bazaars but it is open every day a lot of items to see
you can find most of the products you are looking for, such as souvenirs, souvenirs, clothes special for Turkey, carpets, soap, candy, gift chocolate and tea varieties,
This bazaar was much nicer than the grand bazaar. You find better things, people and very friendly in the shops!
You can get everything like food sweet clothes ☺️
Visit early in the day for a much better experience. Less people around which allows for you to feast your eyes with the colourfull shoo dispalys.
Place to shop coz you can bargain with the sellers n they will entertain you. Lots of spices n variety of coffee n teas. You can taste the cheese, tingmo, baklava n other turkish delights for free.
In four of five shops weve visited here no one gave us discount. Where is this turkish sale culture? Mixed emotions about this. However I strongly suggest this bazaar than any other in this part of the city.
Small bazar in a strategic place. I visit each time when I come to Istanbul since I don’t go to the grand bazar any more. U can find souvenirs and gifts but not a huge variety like the covered bazar.
Lovely Bazaar in the Sultanahmet Square vicinity. Visited a few times in my stay in Istanbul. There are the typical items, spices, carpet, t-shirt, scarves, trinkets, sweets, and more..The sellers here are pretty nice and not pushy, or chasing you down trying to get you to buy something. I enjoyed this mini bazaar and would go again if in Istanbul.
Hidden gem of Sultanhemt area, handicraft items, clothing, jewelry, amd much more on good price , go there for bargain deal
fun little shopping bazaar, a lot less crowded than the grand bazaar which was a breath of fresh air. A fun time, maybe not worth a trip by itself but would recommend if you’re in the area.
The details to take home are thinner, of good material and if they are more expensive but it is worth it.
The grand bazaar is overrated. Go here instead to do your souvenir shopping. Nice and quiet, the sellers dont bother you too much. Youll get the same things as the other bazaars.
Tucked away behind the blue mosque. Is one of my favourite bazars in Istanbul. They sell the most stunning jewellery that I purchased for myself and the mens jewellery was just as good. There were great gifts for children too and alot of beautiful handbags, soaps and other luxurious gifts. I highly recommend Arasta Bazar.
Average Bazaar but great location
Very nice bazar with heated prices
Old Bazar, small comparing to old covered Bazar. Many shops and restaurants , cafes in its area
I love browsing through markets tasting sampling the Turkish quisene
Food spices and Turkish delights in abundance. Shop around for good prices and negotiated in a polite friendly manner
Its wonderful to view but not necessarily buy. Shops within bazaars tend to be a lot more expensive for the same goods, the same applies to the grand bazaar. If you can, view the shops outside of the bazaar and youll find items to be much cheaper. The hospitable aspect of the bazaar is the free turkish delight/teas the shopkeepers will try and entice you with. Accept their offer to try the food/drink as its a part of the culture and generally you can strike good conversations with the shopkeepers and maybe get an even better discount on something you like.
This Bazar is all about souvenirs and gifts. A lil expensive I guess but a must see place if someone is already at the Blue Mosque.
Small bazaar with fewer shops. Prices are more or less same as that of grand bazaar. Grand bazaar has way more variety than arasta bazaar.
There is a beautiful mosaic museum in the bazaar.
So many good quality spices and clothes
Out door shops, lots of them
Tucked away behind Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia beautifully decorated Bazaar. Little pricey of course but high quality products. Specially good for organic teas, herbal products, essences, perfumes and garments/ headscarfs etc. Some shops for jewelry and watches. Pleasant experience. Not too crowded like Grand Bazaar. Enjoy.
A good place to buy some souvenirs or potential gifts you may want to offer. However, beware of tourist scams and always move around to check the prices before buying anything. Cause you may pay some price and find the same product at half price a few meters aways in the same Bazaar!
Close to the topkapi palace and blue mosque, a wonderful marketplace. You dont have to bargain too much like other marketplaces in Istanbul. I have bought zultanite jeweleries from here. There are various types of shops here. You can walk by the single lane and buy from the shops. The shopkeepers are well mannered. After visiting the topkapi palace, aya sofia and blue mosque you have to take the right stairs to go down to this marketplace. It is less busier than the grand bazar and spice bazar.
Nice little bazaar, people very friendly. We bought several items.3btraveler
Much much small bazaar on one street. More expensive but exquisite things; rugs, slippers, paintings, bedding etc.
Nice place with good choice of souvenir s and other goods. Found there some amazing leather bags.
So clean place and cool seller. Products price are ok. Near by Sultan Ahmed Mh. .
Souvenirs, carpets, candies, jewelry, handmade things and a mosaic museum (remains of a Imperial Byzantine Palace), all in one historical, traditional Bazaar❗ It is connected (see the staircase in the photoswith Ahmet I camii. In a restaurant nearby, you can serve a traditional tea or coffee and enjoy a mevlana "show". P.S. Dont clap, its actually a prayer.
Magnificent traditional Pazar, you may find a lot of different hand made items and souvenirs.
This bazaar is not too big but you can find almost any kind of suvenires. I found here a store with unique manufactured jewelry like earrings, rings, bracelets, necklaces , made by using materials such as old glass, sheet metal or handmade iron.
This is an open market whereas Grandbazaar is closed (under-roof). The products that are sold here are almost the same as Grandbazaar so if you prefer less crowded and smaller markets, this is where you should come.
Much preferred this bazaar compared to the grand bazaar. There was no haggling store owners, it was clean, open with fresh air. The products are of better quality
If you’re looking for a good place and price to buy spices, Arasta bazar is the place. We found Flamingo store and we bought lots of fresh spices and also Turkish delight. The owner is a friendly guy and made us the best price in the market. Totally pay him a visit if you plan to go there!!!
This Bazar comes before the Mosaic museum. A very decent Bazar with reasonable prices. All clothing jewelry related and sweets are available. However, better to purchase from grand Bazar.
Neat set up which includes a man made canal with boats to travel up and down the canal. Many stores with friendly staff, a large outdoor food court area, with many stand alone restaurants. The second floor has a bazzar like set up with numerous shops as well where you can bargain. There are also a few cafes spread out through the complex where one can sit, enjoy pastries and a coffee to take a break from the shopping.
I love this place. Not too big, close to Sultanahmet area and the Blue Mosque, and has good choices of ceramics, Turkish spices, herbs, delights and munchies, Turkish traditional fabrics including tapestries and kilim, pashmina and shawl, lights and lamps, souvenirs and more. Some shops have fixed prices but you still be able to bargain especially when you buy many.Great alternative to Grand Bazaar if you don’t want to walk too far from Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. It has many delicious cafes as well.I have my favorite shops for Iznik ceramics, shawl and souvenirs.Worth a visit.
