Ara Impian Recreation Park, Jalan PJU 1a/23d, Ara Damansara, 47301 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, Petaling Jaya
Ara Damansara Park - Park and Garden in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Lovely lotus blooming soon.
worn out, pavements are infested by algae. its better to jog outside around it.
nice relaxing park! good for an evening walk or just lazy walkabout
Great park to enjoy. If you spend a bit more time exploring. You will see natures beauty everywhere.
Great neighbourhood park. Secluded & quite well maintained. Good for a quick walk or run
Great park for disc golf!
Pavement will get mossy and slippery during raining season due to bad design and material used. Dangerous for the elderly if not careful. Always avoid walking on pavement if possible as the slightest patch of puddle may be very slippery at common spots doesnt matter how good your shoes are.At some areas, there is also mosquito infestation. Parking can be a pain too due to limited spots during the evening. You might not want to park illegally by the road side as cars are speeding past the main road all the time and can be dangerous.Otherwise its a perfect park as its fairly huge and has greenery, lakes and a place to take a breath of fresh air in the morning for folks in the vicinity.
Nice place to bring the kids for morning/evening walk
It’s not very well maintained even though it’s at a prime location and has the space. This park is such a wasted potential. Don’t forget your mosquito-repellants too. The fresh air does somewhat make up for its downsides.
Its a public park, people should not be allowed to bring animals in.They should build a park just for pet owners.
Kids friendly park
Nice park for early morning stroll. Bigger than I expected it to be with lots of places to sit down and enjoy the morning sun. There are places thats a bit muddy though but you can just walk pass that. Some rubbish here and there so please dont throw trash everywhere when you come to parks ok.
Nice park for the family overall. Dog-friendly. Sadly, some of the facilities are poorly maintained and the pond is not very clean. But still ok in general I guess.
Great view good for running with light hills and trail. Playground, basketball and badminton area is available. Plenti of seats are available which make more comfortable for olderies. Overall I suggests this location for solo group and family activity.
A nice park in the center of Ara Damansara with a running trail through it. While it’s not very big, it’s scenic and pleasant! It’s rather popular among the residents in the area especially in the evenings.
The park was clean and quiet. We had such a good time walking/jogging and just hanging out with friends. Parking is available as well.
Such a nice park. Great for kids since theres a simple playground for them. Theres also a huge lake which you can feed the fishes.Note: no fishing
Other than one incident of a park user bringing unleashed dogs into the park, it is perfect for Disc Golf.
Beautiful place to relax, walk or Jog..! 💚🌲
Nice and quiet park most of the time due to limited parking spaces available. The small gazebos available throughout the park is very convenient for picnics or as resting areas on a sunny day. The pond in the centre is also relatively clean and well maintained.
Love the this park! Its sort of like a hidden park in Ara Damansara. The entrance is a bit tricky so youll have to drive slowly to find it. The best times to go here are in the mornings & evening on weekends. Best place to go for a short escape into nature and a picnic.
Great place to unwind yourself without needing to travel far out of the city. Fresh air, clean park suitable for family. Jogging track, children playground are available too.
Much space for a morning jog or simple brisk walk. The red pathway is slippery after rain so need to be careful. Dog owners please have your pet on leash and pick up their poop. Place is well maintained.
This place looks pretty small from the entrance but opens up into a long park with a lotus pond, bridge and play ground. The path is somewhat slippery after rain with patches of green moss. Otherwise it is pretty well maintainedUpdate end October 2021: the park has been recently refurbished with repaving of some sections of the path with less slippery surfaces and hope they will pave over the rest of the pink pathways. The broken bridge has been repaired and many facilities have received a new coat of paint. This makes Ara Damansara Park an even more pleasant place to visit for a morning walk. Good work by MBPJ
One of the best park in PJ for relax and recreation.
Got a nice playground where parents can go jogging
Why do I love Ara Damansara? The walking/cycling path is just gorgeous! It reminds me of the days I used to walk to the University of Massachusetts campus in small college town, Amherst. The MCO has managed to turn more people into regular walkers, joggers and cyclists. It makes it comfortable for a woman like me to do my solitary morning walks in this upscale, accessible and beautiful neighbourhood.
Nice place overall. Plenty of space, not too crowded, relatively clean, nice trees and pond. Like coming there in the evening - very calm and peaceful. Beware that there are sometimes 2-3 stray dogs in far corner of the park. They usually dont cause trouble but Ive seen them aggressively bark and run at people who come close to their territory couple times.
It is a really excellent place to rest relax and exercise. There are children swings and playing equipment.
This park is one of the least crowded park in Petaling Jaya. The park caters small Ara Damansara population and has become the green lung of the neighborhood. The park is connected with many entrances from residential area nearby such as Seri Pilmoor, Ara Putra and Putri, as well as Masjid Ara Damansara and PPR Lembah Subang. The many entrances seem to reflect the word "Ara" (in english ficus), a tree species that grows their creeping root. If you look at the map, the park looks like the creeping root by having so many entrances. This is undeniably making Ara Damansara Park as one of a kind.
***Due to CMO 2.0 they have closed this park from 13/01/2021 to 26/01/2021(attached notice pic for reference)No entry fee at all. Moderately big one and you find walkers from 6AM to 7 PM.Lot of greenery and fresh air. It has a pond where sign says no swimming and fishing yet i saw few people fish many times. Pond is not a clean one and water comes from adjucent housing rain water and all those get pass through this park. There are some oil traces found on walking tracks(ref pics). Some lovely lotus flowers you can spot if you are visiting in correct season. It has out door gym, but few of them are broken but still it helps to warm up your body.It has play ground with basketball court and badminton court. And lot of kids practice and utilising at its best.It has playground for kids(few swings and slidingso a recreational place for family with kids of all ages. (Its under renovation now)There are few resting places with seating. Some are under roof and some seating is out door. And one of these indoor seating one place they have chess board in floor so all you need to carry is your chess ♟️ to play.We usually go in evening but this time we went in morning and it was so pleasent with less crowded and we spotted few Kingfisher birds and a snail trying to claimb the dustbin. The only thing I feel this park is lacking is washrooms. Because this park has everything for a family to spent sometime but having washrooms makes it more accommodating for families. Its free, greenery, outdoor gym, kids play area, walking track and a pond. What else we need in a park in these concrete jungle. A ****(4/5for this
First of all - Its free to enter!Park is full of greenery; it has lotus pond next to which you can relax. You can come here for jogging, cycling, some light exercises and of course to breathe fresh air and relax.Parking is also available without any charges.
The main playground is closed until Feb 2021 due to the maintenance/upgrading of the river banks. Other parts still open and can be used as usual. Good environment for jogging, relaxing, and spend time with family.
This place very fresh nice view new concept landscaping theme forest in town...its so nice for relex chill family recreation...Also nice environment for out door exercise like jogging and others..Play ground for kids but must caring and careful....
The first time here. The lotus pond is amazing though the walking tracks were slippery. This idea of creating this park out of a flowing stream across the residential areas is commendable. There are several entrances from various residential communities, which are further joined to the walkways along the main circular roads encircling the park. A brilliant landscaping plan.
It is good to near to trees and nature.
Great Park with nice lotus pond. However upgrading work and fixed in progress making the pond water murky and park is partially closed
visited this park on a Saturday morning, surprisedy not crowded( like TTDI park), nice views for leisure morning walks.
Good place to bring your family for recreation. Have a playground, 2 badminton courts and a basketball court. The park is quite well maintained, but the jogging track is quite slippery if it was raining at the night. Adequate free parking, about 20 car parks. Highly recommended park.
Nice environment for exercise in the morning and evening, but some motorcyclists enter to the park area and its a little bit dangerous to kids.
This park has so much potential, but its not well maintained. Motorcyclists roam around the park (on their motorcycleswhich makes it dangerous for little kids and old folks going for walks. Go at your own risk - at least until its cleaned up and security is tightened.
Great place to jog and big place to enjoy lake and play frisbee, eventhough some vandalism take place
Nice place for evening walk. Be aware of dogs in certain area.
Park is beautiful and mostly well maintained, however theres a broken bridge thats been there for quite sometime. Motorcycles can still enter the park which can pose as a security risk - more deterrants needed. Can get crowded on weekends. The outer loop is just under 2km. Park feels relatively safe even during off-peak hours. Sometimes youll see a pack of stray dogs roaming about but theyre almost always harmless.
Big quiet clean and nice for picnic
First visit to the park and I was surprised that there was literally not a soul anywhere in the park. Perhaps because it was already dark and after a thunderstorm. It was a huge mistake on my part to have entered the park because of the conditions mentioned, it was very poorly lit, rendering it basically unusable once night falls. Also, it’s walkways are very badly maintained and not slip-proof. 10 minutes in the park and I nearly slipped thrice. Finally slipped and fell on my back whilst I was trying to leave. Would be advisable if you head there neither after dark nor after rain.
Good public park, reasonably well maintained.
Just okay. Worth a visit if you are in the area and its not too hot. Despite what some websites say, this park is not dog friendly, and there are signboards here indicating that. I wouldnt bring my dog here either because a lot of sections are infested by nasty ants, and also because a lot of Malays frequent the park. Not to mention the mosque opposite. Take your furkids to 1 Utama Park or Desa Park City instead, or there is a new potential dog park at Taman Komuniti Kelana Jaya. Check out the list on my profile. After your morning walk there are a row of shoplots nearby offering decent coffee and breakfast/brunch/mixed rice, either at the cafe or kopitiams. Or you could head to the happening(more at nightCitta Mall for some other options, including a McDonalds and some pretty good Thai food. There used to be a Ara Damansara Eco Park in this area as well, but it was closed down for upgrading sometime ago and might have reopened by now.
Great park with scenery, exercise facility, jogging track
A private park to local community. A good place to walks at morning or evenning for fresh air
