Applebee's Grill + Bar Bayamón in San Juan

This is the worst Applebees Ive been in. We had to wait a while for someone to acknowledge we were there. The waiter didnt have time for us because he was too busy taking care of a large party (of course, larger tip was expected). I felt I was at Chillis the service was so bad.

Seating was fast, service was very friendly, the food was good, although what I had was a Cowboy Burger with Onion rings, BTW, the first 3hrs of parking are free...

i was very surprised that i order a wine , and i was not able to get a glass unless i bought the bottle.

I arrived 10 min before closing time and as the manager saw me walking towards the door, he closed itI showed him the time and asked him to comply with the advertized timeHe turned around and walked awayProbably cared more about getting off esrlier than the restaurant image

Good food and good service

Called and called to place an order for pick up, no answer. Decided to go in person, was told “sorry the kitchen is closed”. A party of 6 walked in behind me and was seated, I asked if we can dine in, the answer was no. All that took about 5 mins. They refused to punch our parking ticket. But the security guard was super nice and let us exit for free. The two stars go to her.

Our first visit. First: Covid 19 protocol - temperature, hand sanitaizer and distance between each table; all employees with gloves, face shield and masks .... excellent. an extraordinary attention of the staff and very good food, good taste, nothing with a lot of salt and cooked to taste. I recommend it. Update may 15, 2022…. I found the prices the same, but the amount of food served was less; a plate of penne pasta more than $10 dollars. In short, the quality, quantity and taste of the food has changed in a negative way.

Didnt let us in minutes before 9pm

Consistently slow and out of food items. They only exist because of the casino next door.

Terrible service, waited 30 minutes and was never checked on. Had to find my server to order food, waited 20 minutes before it was delivered so I had it to go. Left and at my room realized the food was wrong, steak good but overcooked and they forgot the shrimp I paid $6 to have on it. There are better places around that arent as over priced

Sign on the door says closed at 10pm - I showed up a little after 8pm and I could not get served!Special holiday?Problem in the kitchen?I couldnt tell you because the staff member refused to have a dialog with me

The food was good. The service not so much. The server took a long time, even though the place was empty. And when she came we felt rushed. The drinks were decent. I enjoyed the churos.

On Christmas Day Applebees won 5 stars from me. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious! I had the Bourbon Street steak, and they got my order of medium rare exactly right. Both the baked potato and the broccoli were cooked perfectly, and that doesnt always happen. Broccoli was fresh, not frozen. Lava cake was HOT!!

Although the waiter was kind, I have to say eating here was the worst experience I have ever had at an Applebees.Being the only 2 people in the restaurant, we had to wait 20+ minutes for the waiter to come take our order, guess they were too busy chitchatting in the back.The amount of food brought to my table failed to achieve standards of taste, presentation and portion ( it was half of what you usually get at ANY other appleebees.I was also given spoiled guacamole and chicken was way overcooked for my fajita dish.Such a high end location should have at least some high end food establishments, especially if its a recognized chain as Appleebees. Very dissapointed

The environment, parking, service were really good but then the food came and everything fell apart. Ask for a 2× $30 both sirloin with broccoli and they gave us 2x $10. Cause they gave us enough broccoli to fit in our hand and a sirloin smaller than the palm of our hands.

The food is average, better to eat in than to take out. Parking sucks

The prices arent really worth the portion sizes! Currently their under staffed! A tiny spider crawled out of my seat. It needs a deep cleaning! The food tasted great on flavor but size not worth it.

Not the first visit to this location, and the decreased in quality was very evident during my last visit. After a long wait for our food, an order of ribs from our table had to be send back because they were burned. Basically the same burned half rack of ribs was sent back to us after an additional long wait. The french fries were bathed in salt. The server, Fabiola, was nice and attentive.

Our waitress was amazing her name was fabiola she helped us pick out some good food.... it was great and the service even better definitely made my vacation better

Service quite slow. Portions smaller than before and prices more expensive.

I go for their 2 x $20. You cant beat that!

The food is delicious but they take too long, even by phone: I was put on hold for more than 14 minutes. The atmosphere is not appropriate for people with sensory issues, music too loud therefore people had to speak loud. Was a bad moment for my child with autism

I ordered takeout to take back to my hotel. They told me 20 minutes so I returned and waited. And waited. My food was sitting next to the hostess but she was just seating people and taking more to go orders. I asked if I could pay but she just said Im sorry it will be a minute. The manager saw the line but just walked by without helping. I finally left and went back to my hotel. 1 hour later they called me. Not returning

Good service, but the food was poorly made. No seasoning on the meat, cheese smelled horrible and shrimp was overcooked. The onlything that was eatible were the onion rings.

I would like to say that I went with my nephews and niece to eat dinner on Sunday Feb 21 2021. The waitress was nice and brought our drinks and food. The food was cold. I ordered loaded potatoes and shrimp. First the potatoes were so cold the cheese wasn’t melted it was horrible and the shrimp were so small it’s ridiculous. My nephew and niece ordered ribs with fries and their ribs were cold. They were so hungry they ate it. After a while a manager came to ask how was the service and I told him the truth. He said he was going to go see what had happened and that he would come back and he didn’t so when it came time to pay I asked the waitress where was the manager and she had no clue what I was talking about and went to find out. Needless to say they offered a free dessert and I get home and it was a bunch of whip cream and a bit of cheesecake unbelievable

Bad experiencia, was my first time there and honestly my last. I order the chicken mexican something and it was bad, chicken wasnt as expected not hot enough and the rice tasted like yesterdays, hard and all crumbly.

It was great, Apple 🍎 Bees is always a good place to have a good meal, have a few drinks, and just chill out. Our waitress was wonderful. She was very efficient, courteous, and pleasant. She took great care of our table. Plus, at this Apple 🍎 Bees, the casino is right next door. Had to take a minute to test my luck.😉😊👍 Really enjoyed this restaurant. Awesome!!! I would definitely check it out again

Wait 45mins and was empty,waitress was MIA,bartender dont knew how to mix drinks.horrible long island ice tea and perfect margarita .Food came cold .

The food is HORRIBLE and tasteless! Everything was bland and nasty, unfortunately. I didn’t have a good diner here, for my 1st time in Puerto Rico. They need a new chef!

The food was great but, with this covid-19. The restaurant had few employees. Slow services.

Everything went wrong. Ordered 2 soups, 2 chicken dishes, 1 pasta dish, 1 drink with strawberries, 2 soft drinks.Received: 1 soup, 2 cold chicken dishes, 1 congeled pasta dish, 1 soft drink, 1 strawberry drink with no strawberries. We were given cutlery for 2 people. We asked various waitresses including the host for another set and we had to wait for 20 MINUTES. By that time the dinner was as colder. The soup never arrived and we had to wait 35 minutes for the other soda. The places wasnt even busy. I even spoke to the manager. It was like talking to a wall.WASTE OF TIME AND PATIENCE. Never going back here for sure.

Brought my wife from Taiwan. She is a chef.She always wanted to go to Applebee’s.Were seated quick. ROSE was our waitress.Ordered lemonadeIt was fake & tasted weird.I had a corona.It was good with the iced glass.-Ordered sweet & spicy buffalo wings and hot buffalo wings. The sweet & spicy wings were incredible. The other wings never made it out. ROSE said I didn’t order them (she was not listening). I was starting to get upset.- Ordered oriental chicken salad.The chicken was hard and felt old.The salad was old. My blood pressure started to go up. I’m a veteran with PTSD. Blood pressure shoots up when I’m experiencing a bad time.- Ordered chicken shrimp rigatoni (for the wife). It was cold and dry. Wife was unhappy. Looked nothing the the picture in the menu. I was embarrassed.- Ordered Serloin steakIt was warm. ROSE disappeared so flagged another down. Asked for A1 sauce. They brought me an empty bottle. Can’t find ROSE. Went hunting for any waitress for another bottle of A1 sauce. The A1 bottle empty as well. They got a third bottle of A1 sauce. It was very watery and spilt all over the plate. I think they filled it up with water. Took the first & last bite of the steak for it tasted like wet dog. Almost threw up.Our waitress was still nowhere to be found.I returned the steak.Didn’t want anything else because I was already nauseous. The manager apologized for the steak. Said we did not have to pay for it.My blood pressure was very high and I did my best to keep calm. ROSE shows up and asks if we need anything else. I ordered my wife a smoothie. She liked it. I ask rose to bring me two take out boxes for the salad and pasta.Another waitress returns with the smoothie.Later, ROSE returns but not to attend us nor to deliver the to go boxes, but to take the order of the new customers next to us. We flag another waitress and ask her for the to go boxes loud enough for ROSE to hear us. ROSE notices and walks away without apologizing. ROSE NEVER RETURNS.I hunt several people down to try to get the check. They all now seem to not want to help out.I tell the manager I don’t want to give ROSE a tip. That I want the other waitress to get it. But ROSE got the tip anyway.Paid the check. Including the steak I was told I did not have to pay for.The wife is now sick to her stomach.NEVER EVER GOING TO THIS OR ANY OTHER APPLEBEE’S IN PUERTO RICO.

Just Horrible. The worst Applebee’s ever! It is a shame the staff and managers dont take advantage of its prime location.Food constantly cold especially the pastas and since when is appetizers served with the main course?This has happened numerous times during my visits.In addition......Nothing worst a customer feeling as a burden to the Staff just from just walking in. Shame on them!I would of written a review in the past as I do travel constantly to the same area every couple months but why “it’s only an Applebee’s “ right? Wrong....just realized that customers are expecting some kind of a OK service even for a chain restaurant (I wouldn’t even call it a restaurant).A server is not doing a customer a favor to take his or her order, its their job.Extremely disappointed.

Slowest wait staff ever! The restaurant is nice and well located with the Hyatt Hotel. The food was your typical chain restaurant food, nothing impressive. We were part of a large birthday group and it took forever just to get water and drinks from the bar. Granted, it was on a Saturday night and they seemed busy, but still, we had to flag the waitress down just to get water and later on our final bill. Its just OK.

1/2 rack of RIBS tasty, tender very good. Corn on the cobb excellent, red mash potatoes! Great experience with this Applebees...

As far as Applebees and most restaurants in total Ive been to this one was by far the worst. They were out of a common order. The food was okay... fries were stale. Waiter forgot I told them we were celebrating my friends birthday soon after they went and did it for another table across from us. We stayed around and talked until closing time and left no tip for this reason. I will never return to this location again. We left elsewhere to celebrate my friends Birthday.

It’s probably one of the nicest looking Applebee’s I’ve seen yet, but TERRIBLE service. The waitress sat my group down and 2 other groups after and took their orders before ours. We had to wait 30 min for someone to take our drink order and that was AFTER we flagged down a waitress. Also, the restaurant was not full it was a monday. Smh.

They have good food. Good specials on meals. Nor recommend for groups. Had to wait too long. Not space enough for a group of 12.

To start off , we asked for soup , which never got to the table , then we asked for the meat med.well and came well done , while we where is the place for over 15 minutes a group arrvied , and they got there sodas before us. I paid the tip , but wont be returning.

Food was very good. Our waiter Rey recommended an awesome mojito. Would highly recommend it. His service was on point. Thanks for a great 1st day in PR.

Im visiting PR. Went yesterday to Applebee, this location. I dont remember the name of the waiter. The guy doesnt have the manners or skills for his job or attend people.The way of expressing and deal with clients is not for him. Im glad Im not going back to that locale.Thank you .

This Applebees is amazingly good. I was not expecting such a good and fast service there. The food is the same as any other Applebees, but the service goes over the top, plus the place is astonishing beautiful for a restaurant in that category

I was served a spoiled steak! how they didn’t noticed in the kitchen? friendly staff, replace for salmon. And paid cash and didn’t receive my change. Too hurry to wait, the piece of spoiled steak got me ill.

The chicken and Steak Fajita was amazing. Not to many non-meat items. Carlos was the best waiter ever ❤️❤️❤️ For better food take a short stroll to the Chillis around the block (5th floor of the mallYou wont regret it.

Been here at least 20 times because of convenience to the hotel next door. Eat and drink at the bar. It takes forever to get a drink with the bar empty. Today, i gave up and didnt order food. 2 hours to get 2 beers and a shot. Ef this.....
