The waiter was great. The food not so much!!

Nice and quite where we sat you could hear TV but not loud .The portions are very large.

Meet up for dinner with old friends from school. The food was great as well as the service.

Night we visited there was plenty of tables available however there must have only been one cook for the whole restaurant. The waitress was literally running because they were so short staffed

We stopped in for dinner. We waited 10 minutes to be told there is a 10 to 15 minute wait. 30 minutes later we were told its going to be another 20 minute wait. Over half the tables were unoccupied and less than half of those unoccupied tables were clean. I dont know what theyre facing as far as staffing issues, but it sounded like the kitchen was behind on some take out orders? I know of the 15 some odd groups that came in and then left because of that wait time... that is the number one reason why wait staff leave for more stable employment. At least $150 in tips walked out the door. We went to another restaurant and tipped 40%, and then missed our movie. We feel so sorry for the staff at Applebees and what they lost for potential customers, but are even more disappointed in the lack of communication.

We ate here before a concert on Friday. My cheeseburger come out red in the middle. I ordered mashed potatoes and got French fries. I had to flag waiter down. It took 25 minutes to cook another cheeseburger. I had to take it to go. I ate it on the way to concert. An hour later, I got a bad headache, bad taste in my mouth, and terrible stomach ache.

It was okay but the price you pay for a steak youd expect it to not be full of fat. The waitress was awesome!! Very pleasant, knew her job and always smiled!

Seat 10 minutes and wasnt even acknowledged by the waitress want to buy several times and just ignore this I feel that this is a very inconsiderate Applebees especially your servers.

Me and my husband was in the ottumwa iowa applebees tonight on 6/25/22 at about 5.:30 or so the waitress sat us at our table we had to share our menu and she asked what we wanted for a drink and we sat there for 25 minutes waiting for them to take our order or get our drinks she took our order and my husband said to her wed really like our drinks she said ill bring next well we waited another 5 minutes or so for our drinks granted it was busy in there but they could of made sure we had our drinks atleast we had to have a refill on our drinks before we got our food then she ask us do we want some steak sauce and we said a1 she brings us a pretty empty bottle another waitress was walking by i asked can we get another bottle of a1 this ones empty she says that something your going to have to ask your waitress and walks off a lady from another table heard this and said here you can have ours she thought that was really rude of the waitress we had the 12 ounce ribeye meal and my husbands steak was 1/2 made of fat and mine was tough we dont usually complain but this was ridiculous and other people were complaining to hopefully this problem is delt with thanks sherry payne

Love the food here, so does my girlfriend, I love their steaks and always have good service.

Food came out pretty quick. Server never came back to ask if we needed refills until after they brought the bill. And then when we were getting done and ready to pay. He asked.

Horrible experience the waitress was great at the start and welcomed us. When she entered out orders into the machine she missed multiple orders therefore we were waiting for 2+ hours for our food and drinks. We should have had a huge fifty percent off discount for our whole order but we ended up just getting a free Desert. It does not make sense you should not have to wait 2+ hours for beer and appetizers. Would not come to this Applebees again.

The service was slow. (Went to a restaurant in the chain that had a minor as a server that was faster, the trips both involved adult beverageswas going to nip the tip until I learned it was the servers 1st day by herself. The food was delicious.

The food was great and so were the drinks. Our waitress and her trainee were very prompt and attentive but not overbearing(while also dealing with other customers), which is nice because a lot of places seem to have waitstaff that are either completely absent or nearly sitting with you during your meal. The food was great and so were the drinks. Overall, it was one of, if not the best, experience my wife and I have had at this location. We will definitely be returning in the future.

This dining experience was a huge miss. Dry pasta. Dry, charred chicken. Appetizer was forgotten and came after the entree. The only reason were giving 3 starts is because of waitress was amazing

It was my first time ever eating at Applebees...service was horrible and food was mediocre...very dry and bland. The waitress, Breanna, was not attentive at all. If we asked for something wed literally wait almost 5-7 minutes before getting it. I did not enjoy this place AT ALL!!

Probably the best restaurant in town, this was two weeks ago, a hectic Sunday with many customers and busy staff. I forgot what did we ordered, but was delicious and came on time. She brought some appetizers but didnt provide the necessary utensils until later. At some point a different waiter served some food. It was ok.

Very busy, but under-staffed. Took 2 hours to get food from being seated. Food was tasty and hot. Staff was nice even though they were over their heads.

I so looked forward to getting Applebees as we had received a gift card from a good friend. Due to the cold ccx weather My husband picked up an order to go. 2 classic burgers w fries. The worst burger I have ever had. Crunchy and broken and the bun was ridiculously greasy inside and out. Just heart breaking when you look forward to something that you remembered being good in the past. Just because its carry out doesnt mean you cant get a good meal. Shame on the cook whoever it was.

Restaurant was clean, food was decent, the service absolutely sucked.We were informed SEVERAL times that the restaurant “closes in an hour,” making us feel completely unwelcome from the beginning.Catherine T, or “Cath” as they called her, was one of the most unfriendly servers I’ve ever come across. She was cold, rude, and apparently very unhappy that we arrived an hour before she was cut from the floor. I was a server for fifteen years, so I’m familiar with the process.Frozen drinks were no longer available because, again, they “close in an hour.”Our entire party of seven ordered appetizers. Apparently, they no longer have half price appetizers after 9pm. That would’ve been cool to know ahead of time, as our ENTIRE table ordered them.Drinks ran low, as “Cath” was more concerned with her closing side work than her customers. We were given refills but not until we were finished eating.Anyway, like I said before, the food was ok. The cheese curds were extremely salty and they were out of mozzarella sticks.Our bill was $110.The tip we left was $6.If you do the math, that’s about 5%. I usually tip 20% or better.

Me and my husband went to the applebees in Quincy Illinois for dinner on December 11, 2021. When we got there it was a little bit of a wait but not bad. We both decided to order a cocktail . The waitress, Elizabeth A., left and somebody else brought our drinks to the table. We had already put in our food order and an appetizer. Our food came out but we never received our appetizer so I questioned the girl brought it out, she wasnt our waitress either. When our waitress Elizabeth came back to the table she apologized and told us that our appetizer had been taken to another table.She then proceeded to tell us that she could either put the order back in, get the order to go, or just take the order off of the bill. At this point we had already all but finished our meal so we just told her to forget about it. It was the worst service weve ever had. We ended up going down the road to Taco Bell and ordering more food because of the fact that we were still hungry and upset with the fact of how we were treated.I wouldnt even give them one star but had to be able to post this.

Got my well rare steak done correctly this time but there was some discrepancies with other orders. Also the sit staff was rude. I get it its a Friday night. Drinks was good. Wait staff was great.

Food was alright, could of used more seasonings. Waitress was nice but kept forgetting to bring items to the table. For example: no knife when I order steak and no straw after she brought the milkshake.

Staff seated me in a section that initially wasnt open when a booth didnt open up quickly. Absolutely love their spinach and artichoke dip. I usually get there parmesan shrimp and steak but this time went for their ribs. Spicy Asian were very good. Five cheese mac and cheese with bacon was absolutely delicious!

I have never left a review for a restaurant but the dining experience I had a few nights ago was HORRIBLE.We were seated in a timely manner and were able to order in a timely manner but that was literally the only thing good that happened.My fiance and I ordered bloody Marys. They were made with clamato juice and vodka. WAY to much vodka and it tasted super watered down. They came in fish bowl sized glasses and had I not complained Im sure they would of been $5-$6 dollars each. I asked for a screwdriver instead and couldnt even drink it. Whoever was bartending did not know how to make drinks at all.My food arrived cold and the noodles were hard in the four cheese chicken dish. It looked like They set the food aside for however long waiting on the chicken to cook. My fiance ordered an 8 ounce steak and it was the size of a very small potato. It arrived burnt along with the fries. We couldnt even finish our food it was that awful.Horrible experience. Will not be coming back and I do not recommend this place at all.

Got herevaround 630pm. We were sat right away. Our server was awesome, cant remember her name but her wing was on point. Margaritas were sooooo good! Tortilla Chicken soup was spicy but good. (Shoulda asked for sour creamfood was Amazing!! Wel will definitely be back!!

Very very rude staff, don’t have any respect at all. Definitely NOT professional. Extremely slow with service, even when it’s not busy.Definitely would recommend if… you want bad service, and rude/unprofessional staff, with no manners at all.Had one of the girls talk bad about me to the other staff for getting frustrated with their service here. Also every time I come here, I assume it’ll get better but it never does… they slack with their food and I always have to tell them when I get my food that they need to fix my order.I personally DO NOT recommend this place at all.

I will start this off saying the same thing another said, we had to wait with plenty of seats open. Could see quiet a few tables that had not been bussed. Looks to be a staff shortage. But the staff they do have dont seem very professional. The host was not friendly at all and was listening in to our conversation (we were talking quietlyand responding as if it was her business. The waitress was friendly, and was around enough to satisfy us, but the food took an extremely long time and a larger group that came after us got their food first. I had a simple macaroni and cheese meal and the noodles were underdone and very little sauce. I couldnt eat it. They took $5 off. Guess better than nothing. The bread stick was hard as a rock (and they charge a dollar for it). Better quality bread at Wal-Mart. The people I was with had edible food, but nothing that warranted a $50+ bill for 3 people. Parking lot and rest room were disgusting. Only reason this isnt one star is that the waitress was decent. She got a tip. The rest should have PAID ME! Definitely wont be back.

I had the best steak lunch! Small steak cooked perfect, great mash potatoes and broccoli 😍Service was fabulous and they were busy! I couldnt stop eating and most times I usually take half home. I finished it all up. Special thanks to my waiter!

Awesome food. We had the bourbon street chicken and shrimp as well as a blue ribbon brownie dessert and would definitely go again. The photo is our to go container of the bourbon street chicken and shrimp.

We met our daughters new boyfriend here, it was a nice place to visit and eat.The restaurant was clean, but not immaculate. Im not complaining, just being candid.My meal was prepared well, but my daughters steak arrived nearly raw. The waitress took it back to be cooked more.My wifes French fries were cold, not even warm to the touch.No offers to make up for the food.We spent 162 dollars this visit.Please note, they accommodated our party of 6 very nicely. I just feel like they couldve made the visit better.We left a 20.00 tip.It was honestly a 5 star visit, with 3 star food.

Service was a bit slow which was odd for lunch time. What food we ordered was filling and satisfying. We ended up taking leftovers home. A bit pricey, but overall we were pleased with our dining experience.

The food was mediocre at best, it was very dirty, and we will not be back. The pictures below are the air vent covers and the 2 wet wipes I scrubbed our weirdly sticky table with when we sat down...AFTER it had been cleaned off already. It was really gross and offputting. I did ask to speak with the manager and she was just very indifferent and did not seem to really be bothered at all by our complaints or the wipes we showed her.
