Applebee's Grill + Bar in Dothan

Staff was very friendly. Our server was was there when we needed her but didnt hover. The food was awesome. The Fireball whiskey cheeseburger is highly recommend. Will definitely go back.

My food sucked next time im going to check my bocil,scri, and chi alfredo bowl it wasnt no sauce on it and dry😬😑🤔🤬

My experience was great. I had Dean M as my server he provided excellent service.

Walked in the door at 5 minutes after 8 and was told there was a 20 minute wait for a table due to something about kitchen staff being backed up. No joke there were 9 tables that had parties seated. At 835 we finally got seated. Waitress came and got our drink orders. During this time she asked my son what would she like to drink. Accidents happen i understand, however he is dressed like a boy and yes he does have long curly curly hair. Now we did have a party of 8 people. 4 of which were kids 8 and under. So they were all hungry and tired. We got our drinks ordered our food. At 945 we still hadnt received our food. Waitress came to the table. We asked if we could get an estimate as to how much longer it would be till the food was brought out. By this time 2 of the 4 kids were asleep at the table. Waitress told us they were plating our food. Well, 1000 rolls around still no food. We are getting up to leave because this is ridiculous and out walks the waitress with out food. Also during this time parties who had been seated after us had already received their food and paid their tickets and were out and on their way. Multiple multiple tables. The waitress begins to disperse the food and well the food is cold. Asked to speak to a manager. Which he did come out and speak to us and try to make things right. Which I am pleased that he did do that. However the food was cold. I understand the fact that places are short staffed, but in the same there was no sense in the food being cold when it was brought out. They need to get their acts together.

When we first walked in they told us there was going to be a 20 min wait when there were plenty of open tables, and when the waitress was taking our drink order she miss gendered me, I was born a male and always have been a male I will admit I have long hair, but I have a deep voice we waited for almost 2 hours for our food, and people that got seated 20 min after us got their food before us, and when they brought us our food it was cold.DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.

Bartender and wait staff are friendly. Food and drinks have been great every time.

We went for the Monday night $6.99 hamburgers. My 7 year old and I are both diabetic so I asked if we could have salads instead of fries. She said "of course". The hamburgers and salads were good but when the bill came we were charged $2.99 for the salads. I just wished she would have told us about the upcharge as our meal suddenly went from $7 to $10.

Poor service, bad steak and food, we almost felt invisible until the check came.Never again!!!!!!!

When everyone at the table orders the advertised one dozen (12shrimp with the purchase of a steak dinner and no one received 12 or more shrimp.. seems intentional.Vastly under staffed causing delays everywhere.

Service was poor...waitress left items off that were ordered. Appetizer and salads came out within minutes of main meal coming out. Too much drama in workplace causing waitresses not to be able to do their jobs adequately. But the food was good

Very loud DJ would hear to place order, Bartender didnt have mask on and was dancing around laughing. Manager didnt seem to care as he brought change up didnt say anything to her. The food was very good, glad I got it to go.Got to go order friendly but change side extra cost ok but the cheese on the Mac and cheese not melted not culinary at hotel had to find at hotel, no cocktail sauce for shrimp.Food was hotNot sure if I try again

Service from the bar for a cocktail took forever. I believe my order was actually forgotten about. I had to ask the hostess to check on it. They only had one waitress and she was working the entire restaurant. My food was sub-par at best and most all was barely warm. My side order of mac and cheese was in fact cold. The cheese wasnt even melted well. All in all, I barely ate anything and just packed it to bring home. Would not be my first choice to eat again win in Montgomery. On one final note my waitress was polite and quite efficient under the circumstances.

Walked in and was told 30 minute wait time we waited 45 minutes just to be seated then we ordered and it took 1 hour for our food to come which was not worth the money the chicken was good though then my sister ordered an extra order of wings and they came out the wrong flavor after waiting another 20 minutes for those to come out . Waiter was nice and they were short staffed but we were more than patient. Will not come here again

If you’re tryna find a late night bite and quick do not go here you’ll wait over an hour for food.. and this is 12am not super busy

Service was super slow, and dont waste money on the steaks not cooked properly. Ordered medium and got well done. Family did enjoy the appetizers won-tons. Wraps were okay also.

This place was just pure nasty. Food was okay, but restaurant was dirty. Bathroom was disgusting. Out of 3 stalls, all were filthy. Dining table was sticky. Our waitress was also behind the bar and was too busy flirting with male customers too wait on us. This was our 2nd try at this place and will be our last.

Bourbon chicken&shrimp and Southwest chicken bowl were great. Some chain restaurants in Dothan have declined in quality but this Applebees is fantastic.

Steaks were good cooked to order green beans not very well done. Establishment looks like its been here a while. Womens bathrooms smell bad. mens bathroom not so much but definitely could you a remodel.

I had my tonsils removed and ordered something I thought would be okay and the lady that was my waitress was super sweet and helpful and I really couldn’t finish what I ordered so their manager Mrs.lee took it off my ticket and brought me something that would be easier to swallow!!! Best service ever!!!!

Just left Applebee’s the guy that was seating people told me it would be 25 minutes before we would be seated . The place was dead . 3 other people come in behind us that apparently worked at Piggly Wiggle he told them the same thing with in minutes of them arriving they knew the person working the bar the guy seats them ahead of me and my son at a table in the bar. To me that was poor customer service I don’t care if you tell people it’s gonna be 25 minutes then seat someone ahead of the people that were there before them. I realize times are hard and a lot of places are short on workers . But it still doesn’t excuse the poor customer service.

It was the worst experience every! They completely left out my meal and didn’t even notice and I had to say something after our waitress finally came back out after disappearing for like 10 mins. The food was absolutely disgusting my baby even spit it out. Never got my food they just took it off the bill. And then on top of everything I am sick as a dog this morning after eating there. I will never step foot in that Applebees again.

Waitress was good. Kitchen was not good. Very slow, some food came out cold. Or didnt come out at all, until we asked

It was a bad experience all around. Service was bad, at times there was no one at the front of the house for service. Our waitress didnt come back to check on us after the food was delivered by a runner. No refills on drinks. My food came out cold, I had a pasta and chicken meal. The waitress finally came by to give us the check after we had been sitting for about 15-20 minutes completely done and asked us how it was, I explained the food and that I was upset about the lack of service and she argued and she said I was mistaken, that she had provided very good service. We wont be returning.

One of my favorite places to eat. Super relaxed atmosphere. Extremely reasonable prices. They are even one of the easiest restaurant to deal with when working for a delivery service.

Enjoyed hanging with the family playing Tic Tac Toe while we waited for food. Fast service and friendly staff!

First went in and was ignored never was given a table or anything. We left and I complained in email. The manager of the store called me himself, made excuses but said he was going to send a gidmfrcard and to please come back and let them try again. Waited for gift card. Ended up emailing back to ask for itm when we finally chose to go back. We ordered drinks that we seen sit at the bar for a good 15 minutes. Our steaks were not cooked correctly at all. To the point that my well done steak had bled into all my other food. We were never even asked if we wanted anything else to drink. We never got our condiments that we asked for when our food was brought out. All in all the absolute worse experience Ive ever had eating anywhere!.

Service was horrible, medium steak was well done. Waited 55 minutes, no bread sticks for wifes pasta. NOT PLEASE AT ALL AND WHEN I SHOWED THE STEAK TO THE WAITER ALL HE SAID WAS SORRY!

I love Applebees but for some reason the steak wasnt as good as it usually is. While the food wasnt as good as it usually is the staff were totally on point! Great visit!

I requested curbside, but when I arrived there were no signs with directions to the curbside parking. I had given a large tip for whomever brought my food to me, but I waited forever. Finally I went in to get my food and was told oh, curbside pickup is on the side of the building close to the rear of the building. Someone got a big tip for nothing.

Theyve been struggling to find help since the pandemic hit, but what little crew they do have, I Love and cherish. ❤️ This has been mine and my husbands go to date night restaurant for a while and we love it there. ❤️ The food is always excellent and the staff is always so friendly. 10/10 for the effort, the food, the friendliness and the cleanliness.

Over priced. Very decieving to the employees, say online hiring for 10 to 12 dollars an hour. False. 6.25 started off at 7 to 11 hours a day, dropped to 3 to 4 hours. Was working 5 days dropped it too 4 said I was making 10 got 6.25. those servers really do need the tips that is there paychecks basically. There are other restaurants that are better tasting and cheaper. Think twice before eating at Applebees.

Wish that a negative rating could be given. This location used to be amazing.We ate at this location tonight. Lisa, our server was horrible. Food was average at best. Ordered drinks at the beginning of the meal that were not delivered until the end of the meal. Asked to speak with the MOD Leigh. She was rude and would not even listen to what had happened. Just talked right over us as we tried to inform her of what happened.The first receipt that the server gave us showed one price, then aftershe ran our credit card, it was a totally different price. The MOD, said there was nothing she could do because the card was already ran. I do NOT, recommend this location at all.

Was seated at a dirty table, the restaurant was not very busy but we were there for 45 minutes before we got our food. Our server was not pleasant, seemed as though she could not connect at all with her customers, and the only words she knew were yep and nope. On top of that, they were completely out of several items on the menu, and we there at about 6pm. Would not recommend.

Traveled to Dothan for surgery and stopped at Applebee’s on Ross Clark Circle for a late dinner with my husband. It wasn’t very busy and the hostess Takiya was SUPER nice and greeted us and seated us quickly. Our server Samuel P. was also very kind and attentive! Now to the issues… We arrived at 10:30pm, received our drinks at 10:45, our appetizers at 11:30pm, and our entree at 11:48pm mind you I can not eat after 12:00am. The food was ok but had it not been so late we would have left and found somewhere else to eat. Also the manager never came to the table to apologize for the kitchen issues nor did they comp anything not even one of the 1/2 price appetizers. The ones who apologized and did their best to keep us satisfied was again Samuel P. and Takiya who are both fairly new! These two have manager potential and I hope someone sees that and appreciates them for it!

Slow, slow, slowwwwest service ever.You cant even wave a worker down to come check on you...I had to get up myself and walk and knock on the kitchen door before I received any attention to fix my order.My husband and I said no thanks and headed out to TGI Fridays for fast service and a meal that we actually ordered.

We ordered Curbside that was to ready at 8:48. So my husband gets there early and they never brought food out. He sat there til 9:02 and went in to get food. They said they didn’t see him but my husband could see our vehicle on the camera. And then order wasn’t totally right. So I called to speak with manager and he said they were really busy. Just made excuses. And the food was terrible. I’ve been going here for years but I won’t be back!!!

Well we waited 45 mins to get the appetizers, then they couldnt give us extra small plates bc they said they only had enough dishes done for us to us3 for our main course. Service was slow, told manager about our experience and he didnt even care. Will never go back one of the worst restaurants in Dothan

I order online and have it delivered often. Their blonde brownie is to die for! Hands-down the most delicious dessert locally. It comes warm with sugarcoated pecans, melted icing pour on, and then topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. I literally could eat it every single day. Our favorite meal is their honey chicken tender macaroni and cheese!!🤤 It’s supposed to be spicy but it’s not. My order is always right and ready within minutes. Never had a problem. I think this is the place that finally help me put on the 10 pounds I’ve gain 😂

Wish I could give zero. Terrible service. Mozzarella sticks cold. Literally like they just came out of the fridge. Took over 20 minutes just to get the servers attention to refill our glasses. Still had not received our food. When we asked about the food we were told I dont know in a rude voice. Manager comes over. Says he just plated the food its on its way out. Took at least another 10 minutes before it came. To get to go boxes another 20. Spent almost 1 hour 45 minutes. People that came in after us had food and drinks within 20 minutes. Never again.

Dont get me wrong, the food still tastes good and our waiter was so nice, but the quality has definitely gone down. All of the dishes are smaller portions. My chicken pasta dish only had 4 very small pieces of chicken on it. The spinach and artichoke dip was obviously watered down (Im guessing to make it "stretch"a lot of the chips had not been cooked or stored properly so they were stale. 1 small sized shrimp costs $1 which is ridiculous to say the least. I understand because of the pandemic restaurants have had to change things but at this point Im sure some of this could be resolved by now. It will be a VERY long time before we visit applebees again, if we ever decide to go back.

It looked great but there was too much salt in the food. Ive eaten here before and never had an issue. Its still a great place to eat. We will be going back!

Had a wonderful experience,and great food. James our waitor was very attentive to our table despite all the other tables and guest waiting to be seated. I admire the 3 employees who showed up to work taking care of the dining area for their dedication to their company during these times we are faced with today. They showed up to work stayed professional with a warm smile despite rude customers and working short staffed. Thank you all for a great night out to dinner. James and the other staff.

Its been awhile since Ive visited here. It wasnt to busy. We had a great server, she was friendly and quick to refill our drinks. The restaurant was very clean. Our food was delicious and we all enjoyed our meals. We will be back.

My waitress Brenda P was the best. She was so nice and friendly and attentive. She made my experience here a great one. Her hospitality made my day. I ordered chicken won ton for appetizers and bourbon chicken and shrimp for dinner and top it off with house margarita ☺️. The food was delicious and hot.....Just awesome is all I can say

Sat down kinda busy. Short staffed. Porsche did excellent running many tables at once. Combo appetizer missing a few items but shortly arrived. Food came out great.

We loved our visit here😀 thank you to our wonderful server Porshe who ,despite being extremely busy and running all over the place, made sure we were well taken care of. We will be going back for sure.

Place has great food for good prices. Friendly servers and fast service. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars, the Restrooms were a mess and needed attention. We were there for almost 2 hrs and never seen them clean them after I told them they were dirty. Other than that everything else was good.

I ordered the 2 for $20. I ordered online and opted for carside pick-up. The website was easy to use. The problems that made me reduce my rating were...First, The chef came out to my car to ask if I wanted extra mushrooms. I ordered them.. Sooooo duh. I want them. He had on the gloves hed been cooking with I could see the seasoning on his gloves I was grossed out instantly.😲 He was touching doors and stuff...😷 I called immediately inside to find out if he changed those filthy gloves. Whoever answered the phone assured me that he has to change them anytime he leaves the prep area. Secondly, it was only supposed to be 15 minute wait it took 24 mins.⌚⌛ The food looked and smells phenomenal. Super fresh and smoking hot 🔥. Im not totally happy with the experience but the there were only small issues, nothing big enough to bash them over. I hope you enjoy the pics and go to Applebees tonight for dinner you wont be sorry

When I got my medium 6oz sirloin, it was actually cooked to shoe leather. The server said they would make me a whole new plate with fresh veggies. I ate the veggies I was served and everyone in my party of 6 was completely finished eating by the time they brought my replacement steak. The server said my bill was wrong and he needed to get the steak taken off. What happened was that they had billed me for both steaks and he had to take off the one Id sent back. So I paid full price for a disaster and ended up leaving most of the second plate on the table because everyone else was ready to leave.Thats just bad service all around. No wonder the place was mostly empty.
