This is one of the best meals I have ever had. We split three different plates between us, rooster, shrimp pasta, and pork tacos. Fantastic place to come, I highly recommend.

An amazing restaurant with great modern Greek food! The staff were super friendly and the service was quick. The Octopus starter was some of the best seafood I have had in a long time. Couldnt reccomend more.

The best food in Heraklion!Me and my wife have been on vacation on Crete and found this restaurant by accident.Thank God we did, the food here was extraordinary delicious and the waiters where absolutely amazing.It was so good we had to came back the next day (unfortunately that was our last day on vacation, otherwise we would have been there even more).If you like pork belly try the tacos, the best I ever had!

One of the best meals Ive had in years, dont pass this one up. Make sure you make a reservation because they fill up fast. The pork belly tacos almost brought tears to my eyes, they were unreal.

Food was really nice, plates looked amazing.We ordered fries with grupele cheese as appetizer, grilled tuna and rib-eye stake - both were delicious. On the house we received some bread with olive oil to start with and some macaroons and raki at the end. We took a table outside, on the narrow street, in the shade, the atmosphere was relaxed and nice, service was good.

Enjoy a lovely lunch here with family on our last day in Crete. The place is very tastefully designed and located on a quiet side street that felt away from the bustle of the shops and tourists when we were there on a Saturday afternoon. The dishes were fresh and tasty with unique flavors and twists added to the Cretan dishes we had come to know and love during our stay. We also enjoyed great wine and beer with our meal. The service was very friendly but also quite slow. Our meal was one of the more expensive we had in Crete but definitely more unique and classy and entirely worth it.

What an excellent experience - if I could add several 5 stars, I would! The food is excellent - Greek cuisine with a modern twist. The spot is beautiful, with lovely views. But by far the best part of the night was the staff: the waiters make you feel welcomed, explain the menu to you, adapt it to any dietary needs and are very knowledgeable about gluten intolerances. I felt very well looked after. Thank you Apiri team for such a wonderful dinner. You are perfect hosts!

Well presented, quality ingredients, imteresting menu combinations, but I was not so impressed but taste and I dont think it was worth it this time for the money. But we got dessert and ouzo (some Greek alcoholon the house. Nice staff though.

The best « eatery » as they call themselves in Herakleion. The only « negative » point of it is that, if you do not have a reservation, no available table for you. Always fully booked. Other than that, brilliant.

Perfect! From starter to main until dessert, all food was delicious & fresh. Service is friendly, competent & fast. Also loved the atmosphere of the outside setting. Definitely recommend 10/10 :)

I’ve been there for dinner with my boyfriend. Cozy and nice place. The staff was very nice as well. The food was delicious. One of the best beef tartare that I’ve eaten. Each of us ordered a started and a main course. We also had a 250 ml bottle of raki, some refreshments and a water and the check was 73 euro. After you ask for the bill you will also receive a dessert and a bottle of raki on the house. I would definetely recomand this place.

Excellent quality, creative menu and very good service. If lost you can rely on the recommendations of the staff, who know their food incredibly well. Enjoyable wine menu, plenty of local and interesting options. Located in a very lively street. Very good price for the quality.

Bread with olive oil was brought out before the meal, which was very nice.We ordered pork belly tacos which tasted fantastic. Homemade, excellent combination of fresh and well prepared ingredients.We also got delicious desserts - the chocolate cream was especially good.The service was quick and great.Highly recommended!

Absolutely exquisite. Incredible sensation from the cook on how to combine the ingredients, texture wise and taste wise. Simply unforgettable experience with the food. Excellent options from the menu and in reality one gem in the heart of Heraklion. In my book a must visit place! Keep in mind that you have to reserve a table in order to dine or you can risk not having one. Thought I have to mention that tables do switch around a lot and you may be lucky!We ordered the simple tomato salad that had a very flavorful pallet of local herbs that accompanied the vegetable or as some like to call it a “fruit”, perfectly. For starters we had a great traditional “Saganaki” cheese that was garnished with an incredible home made pepper jam. Another starter that out table picked were the grilled mushrooms that were also great and full of flavor.For the main course we ordered 3. The rib-eye steak, the rooster ragu and finally the osobuku dish. All perfectly prepared as requested both the osobuku and the rib-eye steak at “medium”. I do have to mention that the rib-eye was simply outstanding with the puree from sweet potatoes, creamy flavorful, but not very strong in terms of sweetness, just perfect. The steak was juicy and at a perfect temperature, pre cut and ready to consume. The rooster was for sure one of the best I’ve had, as a rooster fan. The gnocchi that it was served with were cooked perfectly.The osobuku was also great but for me a touch bit too salty but it did taste great. My explanation to the saltiness is probably the creamy sauce that the wheat was served had a bit too much sodium glutamate that the rooster is marinated in before the thermal treatment.In addition the wine selection in the restaurant or “eatery” as the owners have named it is great. We enjoyed a bottle of rose, a local one which was great!Nevertheless we ended this fine evening with three desserts, the chocolate mousse, a cheesecake and a lemon tart. If I had to rank them the chocolate mousse is a simply world class dessert dish. Indescribable, one has to taste it to experience it, but try it! The cheesecake and the tart were both great as well.The prices I have to consider reasonable for the quality of the meals, plus the service is great and the staff is very politeIn conclusion the restaurant is a gastronomic heaven, an absolute must visit

Subjective opinion:While the quality is definitely good and the food is delicious, it never is what I have in mind in terms of taste and ingredients. For other people this might be good, it can make the restaurant exceptional actually.But for me this isnt the case.E.g. when I ordered grilled mushrooms I expected big (oustermushrooms with this "burned" and a bit smoky taste.However they were small and with pesto sauce. Definitely tasty but not what I wanted to eat.Plus the restaurant is on the expensive side for Crete.

Really delicious, perfectly made food at this city eatery. A very sophisticated take on Cretan food. Im still thinking about the gorgeous tomato salad and silky rich shrimp pasta. Not cheap, but definitely worth it.

Excellent place to try creative Greek cousine, getaway from standard touristic offering. Laidback staff, excellent food and nice atmosphere. We had lunch here on our one-day trip to Iraklion. Enjoyed oxtail, goat stew and rooster goulash. Best tomato salad I have ever had.

I think it is the best food experience in the Heraklion center. With meat the fish and vegan options for all the preference. The menu is unique and has Greek recipes but in the best possible versions. Nice service I big variety of wines !

I was all over crete for 2 weeks with my girlfriend and this was overall the best restaurant we have visited. (twicethe service, food, dessert, everything was on a top level. The dishes are a combination of modern cuisine and local, quality ingredients. I highly recommend this place! ps: try the local wine!

I honestly would recommend this place 1000 times. Look no further, their food is of the best quality, portions are incredibly generous and the products are so fresh. The tuna tartare was the MVP but honestly every single dish was full of new flavors. The staff was also so kind and accommodating. Thank you Apiri for a wonderful lunch experience!

Freshly prepared, well-presented, fabulous quality Greek dishes with friendly staff. The wines they suggested to pair with the foods were also fantastic. Not to mention the great complementary dessert at the end of the meal (raki & macarons).

Over the top kind service and tasty dishes! Delicious tuna tartare and octopus. Good wine recommendation. Staff extremely caring for my severe food allergy, which is a relief and I appreciate very much. Quiet location for a perfect solo-dinner.

Food was extremely good. Shrimp pasta is to die for! Their kitchen is a bit more on a modern than traditional end.

Beware of the shrimp! We had a nice dinner - the food was delicious, the wine lovely and the atmosphere great. But my partner had the shrimp pasta and was very very sick for the following 24 hours - wouldn’t recommend!

Wow!!!!! Small restaurant on a side street - a local business referred us!Every dish was amazing! Spiced perfectly and bursting with flavor!The tuna and. Sea bass were extraordinarily delicious and the beetroot salad was tasty- the olive oil and bread were brought to the table immediately ! And try the chocolate cream for dessert. The staff is friendly and the service impeccable!!! Visited a few times and will definitely go back again!! 5 *****

We had a late lunch. We order some starters and one main dish. All were tasty.. you got what you pay for. Interesting combinations of food and ingredients. At the end we had macarons and raki on the house.

High quality ingredients with good price/quality ratio, a modern eatery not only limited to Greek cuisine but flavors from all over the world with a twist, open kitchen on the dining area where you can see all the action, friendly stuff and cherry on the top desert with Raki on the house. We visited this restaurant on our last day in Crete and we were overwhelmed by the quality, taste and price of the dishes. Highly recommend and would definitely eat there again. Perfect last meal on Crete.FYI: The dessert was on the house.

Nice place and awesome food! We ate the beef tartare (best ever), the Tacos and the gnocchis. The staff is also very nice and you get some dessert for free :)We totally recommend it.

Loved the meal, one of our favourites in Crete. Interesting menu with generous serves and delicious flavours. Rooster gnocchi was a real highlight as were the crumbed mullet served with pearl cous cous and peas. Definitely recommend!
