Delicious. Perfectly prepared shellfish and fish.Had a very enjoyable meal here this evening. Beautifully presented, everything served to perfection. All round excellent. Staff attentive, efficient and friendly. And dog friendly too

Very pricey place but you get big portions. Mussles were delicious, frutti di mare pasta however was lacking in taste. Our waiter was quite unfriendly.

I would like to thank you to Hans, the owner of the fish restaurant APERO Fish Palace for his real help in a difficult situation. When my car was towed away on a market day in Ostende he was very friedly and drove me to the police and the towing company. This was real help and saved my day. What a wonderful day when you meet ppositive, friendly and helpful persons.

We’ve decided to drive out of Brugge and spend one day near the sea, but obviously have chosen the wrong day🤷‍♀️.Saturday afternoon June, 25 was rainy and windy.. so, the best option was to have lunch.Many thanks, Apero Fish Palace. Food and service was perfect. Seafood was so fresh and yammy.. we’ve got oysters and few appetizers with wine. Size of portions were rich and good to share.There’s also a shop, where you can buy seafood. So, you can see that everything you’re served is fresh.I will definitely come back next time

One of the best restaurant where you can eat sea food!!Ive been here 3 times with my husband , and this days we was visiting Paris with our family, and in our way back to London, we decide to come to Ostend, for couple hours only to eat here . The customers service is very friendly, and for the food we dont have words to describe.Thanks for everything and definitely we will come back every time we will be close to you.Update..after 2years again here.Like usually, you exceed our expectations. The food was amazing. Very surprised with the gambas!! Te besttt! See you soon again. We cant pass near by without eating there. Thanks.

We really enjoyed this place. We ordered a sort of mixed seafood platter, which was a (verywide selection of local seafood on a bed of ice, 3 little sauces on the side, and some lemon slices. Thats it. Perfect simplicity, that let the quality of the ingredients shine through. Completely unpretentious too. My in-laws were so impressed (by my wifes accountthat they asked for directions so that they could visit too, next time they were in Oostende. A great seaside-vacation experience.

We were lucky to have got the last table without reservation. We were also surprised by how good the seafood was. The turbot, seafood mix, razor clams and sardinas a la plancha were all very delicious. The service was great and the staff were very nice and helpful.

We had seafood mix and lobster, I’d say it was just ok, nothing really special.But we also tried grilled tuna and it’s marvelous so I would recommend taking grilled tuna instead of grilled lobster.

Super place to eat seafood. They have no English menu, but stuff is speaking well.

The kitchen closes at 9pm and we were a few minutes late, but they didnt send us back! The servings are huge! We took single portion for two people! The food was awesome! Completely fresh and well cleaned. One or two pieces felt underdone but it was not inedible. Warm, well behaved, friendly people in the house.Overall experience is unforgettably good.

Plus - meal was delicious. We had fish (salmon and codbut they also serve pasta, tapas and other see food.Minus - menu not in English. The staff was not really keen on helping us with translation so we had to translate it ourselves.

Best seafood restow in Oostende!We found this place last year accidentally. Ordered the mussles and the salmon! Since then we always come back 😍🌊 I’ve ordered their ‘vispannetje’ (fish stewand my bf had the mussles! So soooo goood! Go there! 😋

Excellent food, generous portions, service extremely friendly. They told us the kitchen opens at 12pm, but they actually started serving us at 11.30. They also gave us complementary homemade cod salad as appetizer. Definitely recommend if youre in Ostend!

Our favourite restaurant in Ostend, food great. Somewhat disappointed this time round at the overall laxity at adhering to the rules imposed by Covid-19 pandemic, such as social distancing, and correct wearing of PPE by staff (mask should cover both nose and mouth). Trying not to be paranoid, but felt at bit uncomfortable. Looking forward to better days and highly recommend Apero Fish Palace.

Excellent place to eat seafood and a variety of fishes in Ostende. I totally recommend to go. I tried the lobster and it was amazing and the service is really good, they are very nice.

The food was pretty good I was very satisfied. The environment was nice in general has a good aspect looks clean and fresh ( fishand the attention was Okey

The waiter was really rude , beckoning us with his fingers and telling us we will have to eat and leave in 1 hour.. Its okay if he tells us "nicely" but the attitude was just bad. So we left without eating.

Very good place to get fresh fish with a good quality, but keep in mind that its really costy and expensive 😅

Fresh seafood and loved the fish soup! Value worthy, do go early as it can fill up pretty fast and due to the reservations. Spoilt for choice and unfortunately couldn’t try everything.Friendly staff as well!

They have many choices in their menu for seafood lovers. Had seafood soup and lobster (shared with my partner, so it was served as split in two dishes). The food was really good.Reservation is highly recommended. We were lucky to get a table without reservation. The service is little bit slow, and once you done just walk up to the reception to get your bill and pay.

Nice place whit quality food

We visited on a Friday evening. The place was busy but we were served quickly. All the food looked and smelled amazing. As we wanted to try everything we went for the tapas choices. All the dishes were hot and fresh + very tasty. To are surprised we guessed the bill at the end and it was 15€ cheaper than we thought. 6-7 large tapas dishes, bread butter and shrimps, 2 wines and a coke for less than 50€ we will be coming back again! Even if its an 5hr drive over three countries.

Average is probably too strong. The fish terrine served with the bread before the meal set expectations relatively high. Starters of croquettes and grilled sardines were reasonable, though its basically impossible to mess these up. Mains were plaice and monkfish, which were very poor. Watery, without texture or flavor, we didnt eat much. When the waitress finally came over, after a little encouragement, she was surprised we hadnt eaten much. We said the fish didnt taste any good, and was very watery. She shrugged. The best I can say is that the chips were "OK"; which, in the home of frites, is not a good mark.

Very delicious sea food specials of chef, had the pan of fish with cheese & Oostendse Boullaibaise, you get a nice piece of gqrlic toast with the last and a tasty sauce which I had no clue what is was but so delicious! Yam!

Amazing Lobster, all fresh. The Pasta to go along with it was also very delicious. We felt very welcome, even with a small child, everyone was very Friendly.

We came in here on a recommendation from the Hotel we were staying at, hoping to discover something off the beaten track and away from tourist attractions. Well... it was all that and more !!!As you enter it looks more like a fish market, there is a large display where I believe it is possible to purchase freshly caught fish, all kinds of shell fish, clams, mussels, oysters, shrimp, lobsters, crabs and the rest.It operates also as a restaurant with a tapas bar concept, enabling the consumer to choose whatever he desires and for those who cant decide, just take the Royal platter or ask the lovely staff for advice.The food was of excellent quality and we hope to return in the near future :)

One of the best restaurant I ever been. The food is very good, fresh and you can smell the sea in it. The quantity of was more than enough, and the quality was super. We ordered 2 plates of plateau fruit de mér royal and we were surprised with the huge plate in the photo. The staff are friendly. They offer menus in three languages, Dutch,English, and French. The only drawback, there is only one toilet for ladys and one for mens which are not enough.

Was there a couple of years ago for a meal. Like it so much - return with pleasure when ever we return to Oostende. Recommend anyone interested in eating fish should come to this place - but pre-book to avoid disappointment.

I have never ever in my life eaten so fresh and delicious fish and sea fruits! Definitely one of the best in Belgium.
