Aperitivo in Grand Rapids

Aperitivo is the perfect little spot to grab a drink, a bite to eat and shop around. The service is great and quick, so it makes for a good lunch spot. Pictured is the meltdown, it’s soo good!! You can tell they put care into what they serve.

Had a sweet time. Ate lunch out on the patio. The wine was just right! Our great waiter gracefully explained our charcuterie boards. It was a wonderful mothers day lunch❤

I think the customer service could be a tad more welcoming and offer more information about their menu items to the lay person. We ordered a charcuterie board which ended up being pretty good

Genuinely upset that their 16 dollar cupcake of cheese, some Italian bread, and wine was better than the 300 dollar fancy dinner we had had the night before.Sales guy tells a good story too if youre into that.

Gorgeous wine list -I highly recommend ordering oysters at Fish Lads across from the bar and pairing with the Italian sparkling wine! Staff were attentive and kind.

Had a great time at Apertivo. It was a fun experience, the food was high quality, and the staff was awesome. Wouldve given 5 stars if sorts were offered as well as wine and beer.

To the Rude hipster retail employee who thinks he is super funny for telling me wanting smoked gouda is unAmerican. Shut up. 😒🙄 and have some customer service. If you want to be treated like you dont belong go her and buy their bad wines and over priced cheese.

Awesome selection of cheese, purchased some and enjoyed it with crackers, salesperson was very helpful in selection. She was correct, it was delicious.

We had a fantastic evening. We got the Mongers Choice based off what we read online and then split both of their sour beers. Our server Gretchen ...I believe... was absolutely fantastic in her recommendations. We kinda just went with the flow and let her take her best guess on what we liked previously, and she did not disappoint. We will be back for meal next time.

Dropped by for some cider and a snack at the bar. Gretchen choose some awesome cheeses and meats for us. She is super enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the cider, wines, and aperitifs that Aperitivo carries. Cant wait to come back to this place again on our next trip to GR.

I love how the staff knows what youre looking by vague descriptions for example I told them I needed something creamy and salty or hard and sweet. They are amazing!!!

Aperitivo is a great spot located inside Grand Rapids Downtown Market that we stumbled upon. Loaded with excellent charcuterie options including all the meats and cheeses you could want. The wine selection can be a bit overwhelming, but Gretchen at the bar was very knowledgeable and informative and after having a few glasses with her we decided on a bottle to take home!

What a great spot! Server was incredibly knowledgeable. Wife and I had a nice charcuterie board and cocktail for lunch. Will be back.

This is our favorite spot at the downtown Grand Rapids Marketplace. First off, they have a great wine selection and reasonable prices, then they have this constantly evolving menu of tasty cheese creations that are just perfect. They are one of the "anchor" spots at the downtown market (Social, and Sloes BBQ are also there), but they have the best outdoor seating area and stay open later than the market so even though the market closes earlier, Aperitivo stays open so you can enjoy a meal, wine or whatever kind of snack you are hungry for. One of the neatest parts about Aperitivo, is that you can order food from an inside vendor and then tell them you will be sitting at Aperitivo having wine and they DELIVER right to your table.

We visited for a wine tasting, the small plates were great! Wine and the company amazing. Truly enjoyed ourselves.

I came here on a summer afternoon for a glass of chilled wine. Had a seat out on the patio outside of the market, and needless to say it was a wonderful time! The bar is located with some seating inside as well, enough separation from the market to offer a cozy table away from the bustle of the shopping area. I loved it here, and will be back soon!

This is one of my favorite places to have a light snack with a glass of wine. The porch always had a nice breeze and the interior--inside the downtown market--is light and sophisticated. Not only the wine, but the meat and cheese rotates regularly, always something fresh and new. Plus the kitchen seems to have a real talent at selecting accoutrements like olives, peppers, pickles, and spreads or even simple figs and honey!

How can I stess enough that you need to go there? We absolutely love going there as often as we have time to. Their charcuterie boards are some of the best weve ever experienced and the rotating selection of wine and local beers have never let us down. If you have questions or a meat/cheese preference be sure and let Michael, or any of the knowledgeable staff know and they will absolutely take care of you. This is our #1 preferred location to enjoy a bite and a drink.

I dont remember his name but the last few times Ive been there the guy that works there always seems to be my server. Every time I go I tell him Im trying to expand my palate for cheese. I let him pick my cheeses. This place has introduced me to so many different cheeses. The last time I went the guy even took the time to share the history of each cheese. This is definitely one of my favorite spots.

Probably okay if youre eating there, but surprised and disappointed that theyre unable to do any to go orders. Not very friendly customer service either. Will not be back.

I stopped in here today around 6pm. It was very quiet. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted by Evan. He was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction on what wine I should drink and even what cheese would go great with it. He nailed both. The red wine I received was very fresh and crisp. And of course the cheese went perfect with it. Evan was extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu. Even went as far as telling me where the cheese came from and that it was even stored in lava caves for 60 or so days. An employee named Katie also took time to talk and educate me about this place. Had a great time and will definitely return with friends.

Weve been enjoying Appertivo since their opening and loved not only the great cheeses and wines, but more so the great service and willingness of staff to educate us and provide a truly enjoyable place to relax and unwind. However, the last three visits have been more than disappointing. Something has changed. Great service is gone. Servers appear to not enjoy their work and definitely let you know through their actions theyd rather be elsewhere. Others must be feeling this way too as the place was mostly empty where in the past it was packed. So sad to see. Well be searching for a new place.
