Süesswinkel 10, 6004 Luzern, Switzerland, Luzern
In a 14th-century building near restaurants and shops in the Old Town, this informal hotel is 6 minutes' walk from the Historisches Museum Luzern, and 9 minute's walk from both Lucerne Train Station and Lake Lucerne.Warm, simply furnished single-sex dorms sleep up to 4 guests, and offer flat-screen TVs, kitchenettes and shared bathrooms. Private rooms and studios add dining areas and/or living rooms; some have pull-out sofas or extra beds. There's no elevator. Minimum-stay rules may apply.
We accidentally showed up at this hotel when we had actually made a reservation at a different one . They claimed they had our reservation and verified it with us several times. It turns out they lied. Unfortunately we didn’t find out until after the reservation office closed, and they don’t open until well after we have to leave. I urge you to find a hotel with nice staff who does not take advantage of these situations. The Altstadt Hotel Krone Luzern is a much nicer location.
The Staff wasnt friendly at all. Took him long time to get our keys, and he wasnt really in a hurry. The rooms were pretty dusty, nothing for an allergy sufferer. Great location thou.
Cheap accommodation in the centre of the city but it was only ok. Room wasnt very clean, there werent many lights in the room so it was dark inside. The kettle was thrown in as an afterthought, and there was no tea or coffee. It has a lift, but the top rooms are only accessible by stairs.
Very well placed hotel. The room was pretty and clean. Pans and other cooking items are provided only in request and by giving a deposit. This should ideally be told at the check in time. Evening reception is shut and emergency number no one picks up, so thats an issue. Overall good location and rooms.
One of the best hostel. Having all facilities. Best if u stay here and visit lucerne, zurich . Train connection time 50 mins approx and number of trains available.
Great location at the heart of Luzern old town. Rooms are a bit small. Good for a night or two.
Stayed for three days.nice hotel conveniently located near city centre not far from train station.helpful staff
Worst night of my life, having two babies in a room full of bedbugs and bites all over my body. They had two rooms in different leves of the the hotel and even though signed my family in for an infestation mess. SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS HOTEL.
Please avoid this place!! It’s full of bed bugs. We had to leave at 4 am our room with our two babies because we couldn’t deal with all the bug bites!!!! It was disgusting!! They know they have a problem and still are selling their rooms. Please reconsider before staying here
It was convenient for the price, everything was nearby (supermarkets, restaurants and the city attractions). However, they didnt come to clean the room nor adding the toilet papers, you have to buy the adapter to charge your phone either from the hotel desk or any nearby supermarkets.
Pro: Hotel with Kitchen.Con: Very hard to find parking space and cant even drop the luggage closely. Bed-sheet is not fresh at all and BED BUGS are everywhere.BE AWARE!!!
Nice place, but a bit small for more than two to stay.
Hotel is good..and also its provide u kitchen facilities in room but little bit far from sbb cff station
We booked the room on the 4th floor in Aparthotel Adler with small kitchen and a fridge. The Hotel is very good located in the old town, only 15min by foot from the Mainstation and 5min away from the famous Kapellbrücke in Lucerne. The room was pretty modern. Its true that it could be more clean (only when you look in detailsbut it is totally ok. The asiab reception guy is friendly and helps you. You can also leave your luggage there on checkout day till maximal 20.00.
Nice really like apartment.. They have stove but no pan for cook
I will go to Luzern in June 2019. I booked a standard Quadruple room in Aparthotel Adler through booking website half-year ago. After the booking confirmation, I found nearly OVER TEN bedbug review/reports in recent TWO years. Some review with bedbug photo attached! Disgusting. I Emailed to Aparthotel Adler in Jan 2019, they confirmed there is bedbug infestation. I contacted the booking website and Hotel to cancel the booking, they denied my cancellation even I promised to pay first nights rate for the cancellation charge! (I have to full pay without refund), Bedbugs last for two years (updated bedbug review is on 29 May 2019), I don’t think they take it seriously. Finally I decide to book another hotel! I do not want to take the bedbug risk! (my friend had bedbug experience, he dumped all the furniture). Check reviews before you book!!!
BEDBUGS CONFIRMED. On our very first night in this hotel, I saw three bugs myself, as well as droppings and stains on the sheets from the infestation. It was a sleepless night, as there was no overnight desk clerk. I was bitten all over my legs and back, and worst of all, one very large bite was on my face - under my eye, on my cheek. In the morning, we switched hotels, and had to deal with our luggage for the rest of vacation as possibly infectious. It was an absolutely appalling experience, and for a hotel that cost over $100 USD per night, the conditions were absolutely shocking. FURTHERMORE, HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND THAT I WAS PROMISED WHEN WE CHECKED OUT AND THE CLERK ACKNOWLEDGED THE FACT THERE WAS AN INFESTATION. So, presently I have paid for two separate four day vacations in Luzern, which really isnt in my budget. Do NOT stay here, I urge you. The staff IS AWARE of the bedbug problem and they are acting in negligence of the issue. Do not support this horrible hotel which took advantage of us, and operates completely unethically.
This hotel is centrally located in Lucernes old town. Its only 10 mins walk from the train station. The room was adequate & reasonably clean & spacious. The bed we had were comfortable.
It is very difficult to find if you are travelling by car. At hotel there was only 1 guy who also works in neighbouring Chinese restaurant. You need to find him if he is not at desk. Amenities in the room arent good either. There is small kitchen but no tea bags, no kettle, no milk, no coffee, no feedback book and no pen even. Parking in the city is a pain and hotel staff doesnt tell you much about it either. They charge 15 CHF per day to park on blue and white zones but then there are very few available in the town. You can also park in garages which are approx 35 francs for 24hrs. Hotel charges everything including parking fee or city tax before you are given keys. Rooms arent big either so if you have booked a double room for 3 (2 adults and 1 childthen you may struggle to walk in it with your bags. TV is there in the room but only radio channels or freeview works. I must advise if you are travelling to lucerne then stay away from town to stay. It is best to find hotel in outskirts and then travel here by train.
Good place, very near to chapel bridge. Vessels were not that clean but other amenities were good. Walkable distance from train station and chapel bridge. Enjoyed the stay.
BED BUGSI stayed here on December 27, 2018. I woke up in the middle of the night with an itch on my arm. I quickly realized that I had bites everywhere where there was skin exposed. Upon further inspection, I found bed bugs on my blanket (see attached photo. There was nobody at reception, and nobody answered my phone call to the hotel emergency number. The following morning, I complained at reception, and I got a refund.
Its a nice place to stay. Clean, quiet and it has a really central location.
Nice city hotel experience with spacious room. Close to Lucerne attractions and main station 10mins walk, good restaurants and good shopping nearby.
No flexibility, full fees cancellation ! I advise you to check other comments before booking there as soon many peoples complains about dirty rooms.
Good:1. The location is good, restaurants just down the road.2. Price is fair3. Full kitchen equipments. Induction cooker and also the utensils. (Huge bonus in Lucerne, IMO)4. Bathroom is fitted with well working heater. Not so good:1. No particular view to commend2. No wall charger near bed. This is the first hostel without it i came across.
Great place in the hearth of the Luzern old town. Price is also very attractive in comparison with the offered quality. Recommend this place!!!
Stayed there just for the location, which is right in the middle of the old town. The hotel is average, the amenities and service also average, and expensive for what it offers, but understandable considering it is in the old town. The hotel also has no parking, since it is in a car-free zone. You can drop off/pick up the luggage at the hotel and then park the car at a carpark 500 meters away, on your expence.
Great location but had bed bugs and not very clean. Hope they sort it out :-(
Very good place to stay in, right in the heart of the city. Specially if you want to cook, the kitchenette is a good one.
The hotel didn’t notice me about the festival. In front of the room, there was a beer party. I couldn’t sleep till midnight
No room service. Telephone wasn’t working. For every small issue, we had to go to the reception 3 Floors down. It’s a little difficult to find the place, especially when u r using maps. No cabs can take u to this place.
Nice, clean rooms with comfortable beds but no air conditioning and breakfast ended up not being included but we did get a refund.
Spacious room, location in old city. Car has to be parked in one of the nearby parkhouses.
I really recommend this hotel. Very good price and excellent location. I had a wonderful stay there and next time I stay in Luzern i will book at Adler again. The owner Mr. Yu and his wife were very kind and the food in their Japanese fast food was excellent.
greast location , but the service is a little bit slow, and when i went there W.C wasnt clean ... and unfortunately bitten by bed bug which was a disaster
Great place. So glad we stayed here. Close enough to everthing but in a nice quiet neighborhood
BED BUGS FOUND IN THE HOTEL ROOM. My friends and I stayed at the hotel on Oct 8. That night, as we were sleeping, we all felt our body itchy. So, we lifted and flipped the mattress and A LOT of bed bugs were found. More bed bugs were found inside my luggage. See the pictures posted below. This is what happened to my face and my arm. We couldnt go to sleep and the next morning we went to the sushi restaurant (the owner runs the sushi restaurant on the first floor + hotel upstairs). We were told by the hotel manager that the owner had left to Germany a few days ago and only the wife would be there. We found the wife at the sushi restaurant and told her the bed bugs were found in the hotel room and this was what happened to my body. The wife negligently and aggressively continued saying she and her husband are not responsible for anything but only the laundry (our clothes where the bed bugs could have possibly gone towhich we can only retrieve after 24 hours. This was ridiculously since we had to leave that day. They were lying to us because they didnt want to give us a refund. Our stay in Luzern had become disastrous and traumatic. I will never ever go there again and I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there unless they want to sleep and get bitten by the bed bugs.
Decent enough rooms, excellent location. The room was not very clean when we arrived.
Very good location in downtown of lucern fare away from station 15min walking 🚶Kitchen it’s almost full servicesThe toilet it’s very clean and full servicesDaily cleaningThere some comments about the services for exampleCheck in at 14:00 clockThere no iron servicesThere no washing machineSome rooms it’s very small 4 beds in 6 meters square
Service was great, there was an issue with my booking since I had done it hours before, and the reception was incredibly professional and accommodating. Room was nice, all amenities worked, the only downside was that the room was very hot and had a single fan. Otherwise, I would highly recommend staying here
Great location in the old town centre. Comfortable, modern and clean room. Check-in guy is a bit grumpy.
Bad experience.Hotel claims to be 3 star but dupes people. It provides kitchenette but levies charges for the utensils.Congested rooms.. dont believe the photos on the website..
Staying here 3 nights. Room included a fridge and basic cutlery which is very useful. Comfortable bed, warm water, smells a bit funny and no safe but besides that is fine.
Very clean and spacious room. Had fridge and dishes and utencils. Very unexpected in comparison to other rooms across europe, yet reasonably priced.
Overall its a really nice hotel to stay at. You get a hidden fridge, stove and sink. The bed is just two beds pushed together, but I dont think Ill fall through. The shower is super small, but manageable. The reception office is in a closet off the stairwell, so if theres a line, its awkward. The stairs also always smell like Asian food because of the restaurant underneath. Its not a bad smell, but dont eat at the restaurant. The food is cheaply made.Id stay here again. Its a 10 min walk from the station, but close to a lot of stuff.
Good location, close to the city center. The room is big and clean, soft comfortable bed.
10mins from train station. The room is clean equipped with kitchen and bathroom (dorm of 4)
After we were able to find it we found it quite convenient for visiting the old town. Plenty of restaurants close by. Try le Stelle Restaurant, a local gem. This hotel offers a nice self-service breakfast at a decent prize. Keep in mind food is expensive in Switzerland.
Very comfortable bed, room was just what we needed. Great location off the main streets.
LOVE this hotel, perfect place, good food surrounded and nice shopping arcade around. Great staff too ❤️
