764, Moo 2 Ao Nang, Muang, Krabi 81180, Thailand, Krabi
On a lush hillside amid 28 hectares, this rustic, informal resort with mountain views is 2 km from Ao Nang Beach and the Andaman Sea, and 23 km from Krabi Airport.Airy bungalows with wood furnishings provide complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Some feature balconies, sea views, outdoor hot tubs and/or 4-poster beds. Room service is available.Freebies include breakfast and a beach shuttle. There's also a laid-back seafood restaurant in buildings with thatched roofs, open sides and terraces. An outdoor infinity pool and a poolside bar offer mountain views. Ziplines are available for a fee.
We were on second thoughts about staying here due to the bad reviews.Surprisingly, we had a lovely time in this place for 4 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The curtains smelt like they were newly ironed. The staff was very warm, helpful and friendly. Were particular about room cleanliness as we are travelling with a child who has eczema and this one passed the standard. There were some insects at night, naturally, as it sits in the middle of a jungle, but thankfully there were no cockroaches. Just make sure to close the doors as soon as you enter the room and wear insect repellent to avoid mosquito bites. All in all, these little inconveniences outweigh the beauty, comfort and serenity this place can offer.Well definitely come back!
free shuttle service up and down from room. nice location with good views but outdoor areas could be better maintained. many mozzies during use of outdoor jacuzzi and swimming pool
We regret for not staying here for longer. We stayed here on the last day of our trip to Krabi. We had a pleasant stay here. Aonang town is just 2km away.Service was beyond my expectation.
If you want to be set back away from the action in a quite, tropical jungle atmosphere, this it! They provide shuttle service to your bungalow, (because very steep roads), and you can always get a taxi or rent a bike. However, if your up for the hike, you can make your way to the boats, which will take your around to the four touristy island, and do a little snorkeling on the side.
Amazingly Beautiful - Beyond our Expectations..We stayed at the top most Jacuzzi villa for a week.We don’t have any regrets on our decision and stay over here.First of all the warm welcome from the front office to all the peoples working over here was astonishing.Golf carts rides to the rooms.Breathtaking views from the villa to the lovely pool and mouthwatering cuisines you will love all the amenities of this place.Overall Satisfied with the stay and looking forward for the next visit. If you are a nature lover you will for sure have a great time over here.Hospitality at its best.
Hotel is superb on pictures but in reality it is a very old hotel and staff doesn’t take care of it.We took Jacuzzi room, everything in the room is falling apart :- Mattress was heavily used and curved, we had to ask to change the mattress (they put a very basic mattress instead which was very firm).- Cleaning is done on surface only, all mirrors was dirty (marks which could be remove,we wait 2 days to see if they will clean it but not done until we ask for it), room corner wasn’t cleaned at all, room glasses not cleaned.- Ashtray on terrace was empty by house keeping but not change (you can see ashes left inside!- Bathroom shower glass not cleaned, angle in bathroom not cleaned- Shower hot water in and out, you can’t stay under the shower for 5 mins continuously- Issue with jacuzzi water, 1hr to fully fill in- Bathroom white towel are overused (marks on it)- Beach blue towels are overused too, bleach pink mark on it- Breakfast is really disgusting (never had an orange juice with that much édulcorants and aspartame inside)- Staff is really average, they don’t really care in general (systematically says sorry when you tell them off something but no improvement on taking initiative after that).Overall, hotel offer nice price and beautiful pictures but the ratio money/quality is very low + the hotel is at 2km from the Ao Nang beach (therefore you must take Taxi or scooter if you want to travel around).
Room was amazing, clean and spacious! Staffs were friendly and view was great. We were warned not to leave anything outside our room as there maybe monkeys around! Minus one star because I wasn’t expecting the compound to be so big that you need to either take their pickup truck/buggy or hike up to your room. But the buggy service is 24/7 so you can call them anytime to shuttle you to and fro your room and reception! And it gets really dark at night! Recommended for couples on honeymoon who wants to be away from crowded hotels/resorts.
A very peaceful and chill resort.Rooms are very clean, well design, and relaxing. The resort is very huge and has amazing nature which you can enjoy with your family and friends.Good swimming pool. Great view from most of the rooms.Staff are very friendly and very helpful. There are transportation services to pick you from ur room and send you to lobby/ restaurant/ garden /parking.There is an amazing pathway for going to view points on the top of hotels hill.I really enjoy staying in this resort for 4 days.7 11 is very close; you can even order food from outside, and they will send it to you.Only a few things can be improved or changed.Rooms need to have slipers/ robes.Breakfast can be a bit improved. It was very good but this type of resort can be better.
Indian restaurants are at a distance of 1.5km.Toilet room has semi transparent glass door without curtains.Resort rooms are distributed on the hill. One has to call the resort for getting down the hill to have food.
This resort is beyond our expectations in many ways. Staying here means you are gonna be surrounded by the nature. We stayed in the jacuzzi room, the room is very spacious with bamboo wall and comfortable king size bed. Toilet is huge in size with modern design despite the fact that I wished the water current is stronger for the shower. Jacuzzi tub sits at the yard area where you can be close to nature and listen to birds chirping while soaking in the tub. This is a 4-star resort that deserves more attention that comes with affordable rates. It also serves some simple breakfast every morning, and to go in and out you will need Buggy car service as the rooms are built on the hills.
“Friendly staff”, “Tropical mood”, “Forestry”I stayed there for three nights and it was one of the best decisions i’ve made in Krabi. all of hotel staffs were friendly and helpful and if you love tropical, bali-ish forest vibe, this gon be your fav! have to use buggy car(sseongtaew in thaito room since they built resort on the mountain hill. they have free shuttle bus going to Aonang center too.i’m willing to stay here again for my next visit. western/thai mixture breakfast buffet was also great.
Beautiful place with rainforest experience to stay in. Breakfast buffet tremendously lack vegetarian and vegan option. They did provide us with fried noodles one day and fried veggies the next and so on,but it was terrible. Service is 5 star. Another peeve pet is that, you need buggy service everytime to go to your room,as the rooms are located on a steepy hilly sides. Otherwise, get ready to walk
A property in a forest. Its truly a relaxing spot covered with so much greenery taht you immediately feel away from the city hustle. The pool an infinity one is certainly the best spot to catch some sunsets. Staff is the sweetest too
Incredible resort. Staff are super friendly and the food at the restaurants are great. Well worth the money. Can’t fault. Will definitely be back!
Amazing views of the mountains. Big spacious rooms. We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi.
Amazing hospitality with great rooms. I got the jacuzzi villa and it was one of the best hotel rooms ive ever been to!
This place is well worth a stay. The staff was friendly. The room was nice, clean, and well maintained. The views depend on the room you stay in and are ever changing because you are up in the forest. There is a shuttle from the lobby up to the rooms but if you want to burn some calories a walk up to your room will certainly get your heart rate up. They also offer a shuttle service into Ao Nang center. The view from the pool is great and so is the view from the outlook at the top of the property.
Very nice and cosy bungalows. Adorable staff. Not close from the beach and thats GREAT!
I’ve stayed in quite a few hotels in my time - we paid £145 for a night here in the jacuzzi suite. Unfortunately we experienced some of the worst service ever - the hotel really shouldn’t be open currently. We of course totally understand covid has been such a difficult time for many - and on this trip even - we’ve stayed in other places and have understood to expect a different level of experience. But this hotel got so much wrong and really should not be treating guests this way. We have a 10 month old baby and nothing was done for him - from when we asked for fruit for breakfast to a transfer with a car seat. The worst thing was upon checkin - no one managed our expectations. So we went to our room where a room service menu was - only to find out when we called that there was absolutely no food available in the hotel (which had promoted 2 restaurants on the websitethen Fast forward now to our baby crying and having to go and find a buggy (because we’re stuck at the top of the hill and it’s dangerous to walkand we ask if they can drive us to any restaurant. The driver refuses without permission and as we go in to check with reception- the buggy driver offloads the buggy and drives off. We’re now furious. We walk out of the hotel looking for food. This place has potential and it’s not any of the individual staff’s fault - just a general feeling of no one knowing what they’re doing at this time - which resulted in a very very disappointing and stressful one night.
Personal opinion: for anyone whom like hill view and alot of greens with jacuzzi is the perfect place to be. For families too.Villas: need to better upkeep and ppl whom doesnt like to wait for transport to their villas should book the lowers levels.
We stayed here 4 nights. The first room we got wasnt really ready when we checked in. Stains on the sheets, bathing robe stained, windows and mirror with a lot of touch marks, the safe wasnt working (batteries empty), air conditioning not working. No pillows on the furniture outside (which on the photos where supposed to be there). There was trash next to the balcony (empty bottle, a box with soup...). They immediately reacted, the safe and the air conditioning was fixed (kind of, only warm wind but better than nothing). Than they offered a new room which was better and apologized. Then there was a storm and the light went out on the balcony. We told the reception but it wasnt fixed during our stay. Also there was no room service on the third day and we dont know why, but we didnt mind that. I understand that there were barely any guests because of COVID and travel restrictions and you cant keep everything up and running for just a few people. Also the pool bar was closed, cafe closed - as I said, understand that part. But for the few guests at least the rooms should be ok. For a 4 star Resort I expect it to be a little more professional. Probably a good place when there are more guests and more staff. For 80€ a night it at least has to be clean. We enjoyed the view from the top, you could watch squirrels in the morning in the trees from the balcony and in the afternoon there were bats roaming around to hang in the higher trees. Staff is friendly.
This resort was the highlight of our entire trip. Aonang Fiore was absolutely magical. Not only did we receive exceptional service, the bungalow we had was outstanding. We were blessed with great weather and each morning walking around the property was absolutely beautiful. The sounds of the birds, the plants and flowers…the infinity pool with a view! We enjoyed every aspect of this beautiful place. They have a cafe near the property that serves tea and coffee. I believe they have zip lining there as well. They can help book excursions too. All in all, with the breakfast, room service and ambience, I would say this place is 10/10. If you are impatient and don’t want to wait for a shuttle to your room from the rest of the grounds (the property is pretty steepthen maybe this isn’t the place for you.We will be back!Follow me for more travel related content: @ explorewithlorr
Very sad and disappointed with this property. I was planning celebrate my birthday and found deluxe room/bath with amazing view. During reservation I sent notes information that I’m looking good room. I the morning I called to the property, TO BE SURE, and informed that I’m planning celebrate b-day and I need good and clean room, it was 4 hours before I check in.First impression was good by view from the room but than I found centipede and cockroach in room. For me it is understandable as hotel locate in natural side. But than I found hairs in the room and also died flies. Moreover died flies even was above the bed on balokhin...It is absolutely disgusting and mean that room didn’t prepared at all. In crisis time with low occupancy level management team didn’t find just just simple inspect the room for this special day for me.. Very sad that I can not post this feed back on Booking.com because I already cancel reservation.Double think before chose this place.
Very big tropical hotel style, super natural with a lot of animal ( i found a cute dog, bug, butterfly, peacock and last a king cobra snake aside of my room before I check out)The room was great big and clean, air-con was perfectly fine, the view from the room is like a heaven, Jacuzzi not so good, a bit dirty and lack of maintenance ( a lot of lichen come out after open the water)Breakfast was really bad, its a buffet but not variety, taste bad and look like an overnight food.Staff is average in overall except the drivers was really helpful during check-in and check-out
The hotel is in an amazing location, within 5 minutes of reception you can reach a tesco lotus supermarket which has everything you need. But while your in the resort you would never know its in Aonang city or outskirts of because you are completely surrounded by trees.I got the Jacuzzi villa which looked fantastic in everyway and yes it was pretty good, the trees obstruct the view but thats fine it was private and very relaxing. Note you are truly in the jungle so bugs and wildlife are around, do not leave your things out we were warned monkeys may take it. But the room is great. The resort is a bit large so walking to your rooms can be difficult and it is a steep uphill walk, so you need a buggy, it seemed in the hotel there was only one as most of the time we had to wait very long, the most annoying was when we wanted to go for a swim, waited over 15 minutes and no buggy called 3 times, and they said its coming in the end they said the buggy was sending people who are checking in so couldnt make it, so walked to the pool honestly faster than waiting for the buggy. The pool was great but the bathrooms were locked and no towels to be found, called reception and they said they would send the maid, 15 minutes later no one came, so just went into the pool till a gentleman arrived who was very polite and apologetic got the towels and opened the bathrooms. Again i believe staffing issue is the major issue for all these problems. One more thing the hotel is a no alcohol facility, so while they have a pool bar there is no alcohol served, and i bought my own wine, and they have no wine glasses so they gave us Champaign glasses, and yes no wine opener either so bring this if you need it.Also the breakfast is minimal, if you need to pay extra i would skip on this, i went down looked at the options and decided to pass, for the level of the hotel to not even have a omelet station, there is basically nothing prepared at your request.Overall things went well minus the staffing issue, and a small glitch with the safe not working but someone came to fix it. Overall i am not sure i would come back, but i did find myself wanting to stay longer even after 3 days here. Will have to see for my next trip.
The groundskeepers deserve a 10 star rating. However, the rest of the staff needs serious training on accommodation and the service industry. I was absolutely in love with the beautiful scenery, it was everything as advertised. However, the rest of my experience was immediately ruined by the service at this resort. When checking in, I had one of the best rooms in the resort. After ten minutes, the receptionist told me that she needed to change my room- a downgrade, and without any compensation. Interesting. But she couldn’t tell me which room I was downgraded to. This meant I had to wait for two hours. I was unable to order food at the restaurant- they wanted a room number. I was unable to book excursions- they wanted a room number. Instead of being approached, I asked again- they were able to provide a room number and a brief explanation about how to best get around the resort. I tried to book an excursion and was offered elephant riding- a MAJOR ethical concern. Why is Aonang Fiore so behind on the times?Nobody came to clean my room until the 3rd day, regardless they never put new toiletries so I had to use one small bottle of shampoo over a 5 day, 4 night stay between two people. The trays from room service would sit in my room or outside without being picked up- got a little smelly. It is somewhat difficult to get to the rooms and dining area. They offer a breakfast room service delivery to accommodate guests. I placed my order on a card and on the door as instructed by 10PM. I actually placed it at 8PM and when the dinner room service arrived, I showed him my breakfast request. No food arrived the next morning, and the card was still sitting on the door. Why have a service if it is not available?
Very beautiful and private resort. Everything is well decored and maintained. Our bungalow is super nice, spacious and clean. However, there are many mosquitos because of the jungle inside the place. The mosquito spray did not work much so we turn the aircon lower temperature but it was too cold so we could not have a good sleep so we felt so tired after waking up. The staffs here seem exhausted and unhappy. Breakfast was simple and the shuttle service only has 3 or 4 times per day and no return.
We stayed here last summer and very much enjoyed our time. We had a beautiful room with a hot tub on the balcony. The resort is very wide spread but they offer a shuttle service to the rooms, which we very much appreciated. Special thanks to the drivers who were always super nice and the very helpful concierge service.
Stayed at their private villa with jacuzzi. I have to give 5 star on their shuttle service within the resort. 24hrs & their drivers were really courteous. Location & ambience are great if youre tired of crummy & excessively priced beachfront hotels. I already plan to stay there again soon. I give 4 star coz it felt like their villas which got the best mountain view were reserved for hotels direct booking only. We booked through a third party site & was 300 baht lesser from hotels website. If only I knew that it would make a difference on the villa location, I would have been happy to book directly with the hotel. But all good, still had a wonderful stay.
Is it worth staying a bit far from the beach? Yes! And I would even recommend staying at least 3 nights. The check-in process is not very friendly but the rest of the stay was great.First of all, the inside of our Tree Top Villa is simply gorgeous, I bet the Jacuzzi Villa could have been a very decent place to stay for a honeymoon. It smelt like pandan in the room, which was lovely. There was a 3 year-old child with us and it was not an issue at all as the buggy car could pick us up (8 peopleat the meeting area within minutes.Theres a massive garden with a path that is worth walking with a child (well maintained, quite photogenic, but not as much as the swimming pool that was very appreciated by my family. The breakfast buffet is decent and you can get eggs made to order. Its location a bit away from the very touristy main road and its huge size make it a great place to relax.Theres a 7Eleven in front of the resort.Watch out for snakes though, we saw two of them during the same day. And a monitor lizard the day after. And dont forget to apply mosquito repellent every time you go out of your room.
The environment is amazing, breathtaking views of the mountains, lots of nature and scenery. The rooms were clean and very nice. The land is very large and they supply rides in carts and vans to your private cabin. Restaurant on site is decent. The hotel does not sell alcohol in the restaurant or in the room. There is a 711 across the street you can buy beer and snacks for your room.
