Ao Nang, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi 81180, Thailand, Krabi
This long beach with golden sand & turquoise water is a bustling destination with many tourists.
Great place for vacation...heaven food..nice people..halal food easy to find...many facilities...no vaping on a beach
Unfortunately some pictures here show Railay Beach. Ao Nang Beach is an ugly very narrow beach right next to the beach road. It is so narrow that it is difficult to find a place to sit down, but it is also so dirty that you don’t want to sit down. It also seems to be a favorite among street dogs to do their business. Water was not clear and nearly nobody was swimming. I gave it a try and my skin became super itchy afterwards. Not worth visiting.
one of the most beautiful beaches across the world. A must go place in Krabi.
Magnificent sunset view while enjoying the gentle breeze of aonang
Nice to see beach again after a while!
The beach has a mesmerizing view and scenery. The sunset is awesome and beautiful. There are many restaurants and outlets nearby.
Ok, but not so clean water for swimming in September
Great beach with stunning cliff views. Good swimming at the beach and plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Long tail boats will take you to the other beaches nearby.
Beautiful beach
Because and peaceful.. its shopping paradise of Krabi.. specially those who love street shopping. Lot of restaurants near Ao Nang Beach. You can enjoy the sunset. Must visit place in Krabi. If you dont have plans of staying in Krabi and plan to visit Phuket, would suggest to hire a car and drive down to Krabis Ao Nang Beach. There an amazing restaurant to try Mexican food, Crazy Gringos at Ao Nang Beach.
Wonderful place to visit!Amazing beach with awesome sea and waves! Can’t wait to visit again!
Sunset here is amazing
Nice beach to chill at. However the sands have quite a number of seashells. The beach might be abit crowded at times. There is two swings connected to the trees. Fun to play with. It’s nice to just sit down there and enjoy the sea breeze and listen to the wave crashing.
Stunning beach. Plenty of activities here. Food price is reasonable. You can easily spend your whole day here. The beach is clean and the people is friendly here.
Pretty nice beach, mainly went here to catch long tails but if we’d had more time probably would have spent a while here as it seems like a nice beach and easy to access.
Beautiful beach near to the town with a lot of amenities
Long narrow beach with soft sand and a great spot to lay and relax to the waves.Lots of F&B around, can get monkey trail to Pai Plong Beach if you wanted a change. Its a nice spot day or night and its for sure one of Krabi better spots
It was cloudy at July. long beach. now its a low season so empty restaurants and bars. Bar on the main street despite low amount of ppl play music very very loud. Thats why it is better to avoid hotels near by the road. It will be too noisy. Beach is not dirty. But not much to do. Its like Pattaya but you can swim and go for a snorkeling tours. Sand is brown and hard-grained. Better to stay on Phi Phi island. White sand. Blue water but you need to explore all two beaches to find a good swimming spot. Same price for hotels, even cheaper in restaurants. Fireshow is phi phi is much better too. Schedule of a airport transfer is in a photo. Last bus at 18:00. Wont see sunset.
Good beach. But not better than Koh Samui Beaches. Worth visiting.
Nice beautiful beach. Very enjoyable for swimming when sea not rough. Amazing sunset. Unforgettable fabulous memories.
Not really any beach at high tide so would check the tide times, but easy to get a beer at the 7/11 and sit watching the sun set before going up to one of the bars or restaurants on the promenade.
Nice and clean beach, beautiful view from here
Sunset is a beautiful beach. There was a lot of food and it was very good because it was quiet in the current situation.
Awesome beach.. one of the best beach of Krabi
Really quiet during the month of June, perfect for beachside strolls, skimboarding, and open ocean swimming. Relatively clean.Extremely scenic during low tide!
Beautiful, calm, clean and scenic beach. A must visit in Krabi with fabulous market and restaurant spaces around the beach.
First day in Thailand, we walked the beach for an hour.Lovely beach, not so crowded.Around evening there was a fireshow which was real amazing. Loved it 🔥.Great sunset spot. Do go to Ao Nang Beach.
Nice beach. Great scenery. Not too crowded. Some good restaurants and bars and fire eaters at sunset. Much less busy than Railay and better prices.
Too shallow for swimming but view is nice.
This is a beautiful beach. Usually bustling with lots of people. The shopping market nearby is great. Also there are lots of restaurants and food joints and beer cafes and massage centers.Sunset is just mesmerizing here. But this beach is not so good for swimming. The water is dark and the sand is a bit grainy.Best for evening walks and close by shopping market and photos.
Busy and buzzy. Long and clean beach with lots of activities present.
Little bar on the beach, Just the best little spot to relax , have a feed and a cold beer. Outstanding,,
Nice open clean beach with many restaurants and small shops close by. Nice place for the long boats and for people to swim. Also no jellyfish or weid things swimming in the ocean
Very nice beach off the small town but still very close.
Nice sunsets. Place to take off from to the islands
Just a place to start your trips to the REAL beaches. Great sunset views.
Ao Nang is simply stunning and it was even more so when we visited just around Christmas 2021. Hardly had any visitors/tourists and we pretty much had the entire beach to ourselves. You can go to nearby beaches from here (Railay, Phra Nang etcthe sunsets at Ao Nang beach are one of the best we have witnessed. For a detailed vlog on Krabi and Ao Nang, visit your channel on YouTube: "sunkissedbucketlist" and insta: "sunkissedbucketlist"
Rainy and cloudy today but a very nice area to visit.
Clean, but awful sound from the motor boats that travel to the nearby islands. There are no sunbeds. Lots of vendors.
My wonderful trip in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. One of my amazing trip ever. We were staying in a nice villa where is nearby Ao Nang beach. Everyday we were hanging around the beach for enjoyment a beautiful views and of course a beautiful Sunset. What a peaceful beach and pretty long beach so good for walking and enjoy a nice atmosphere. Over all was great 👍
The beach is amazingly beautiful especially the sunset time.
Covid continues to strike - there were two of us on this beach between 10am and midday. It’s a pretty beach and you can tell it would normally be very busy and buzzing with life. Such a shame. The water was great and - NO SANDFLIES!
Beautiful and peaceful beach.Shops and restaurants are cheap to reasonable price. Lovely local and clean beach.
Ao Nang is Krabis vibrant tourist centre. It has the relaxed atmosphere of a small town, the beauty of a beach resort, the modern comforts of home, and the friendliness that sets Thailand apart. The town itself is small; a 30-minute stroll takes you from one end to the other. Given that floating buildings are impractical and sheer cliffs dont readily lend themselves to development, this paradise wont be paved over anytime soon.By road, Ao Nang is 20 minutes from Krabi Town and Klong Muang Beach and a minute or two to Noppharat Thara Beach. Via the sea, Railays beaches - including Ton Sai - and a grab bag of small, intimate islands are nearby. Pick a direction and give your waterborne taxi 30 minutes. A watery world of adventure waits.
Awesome sunset experience! Exotic food, shopping and music by the beach...what else do you need on your vacation? Have the coconut icecream, mango or any fruit shake, try the seafood recipes, shop beachwear or souvenirs and groove to the music.
Its a small bustling beach with very nice scenic views. Its worth a visit to this place.
This beach is amazing. There are lots of tourists here from all over the world, many people come here to enjoy the sunset and the view with the long tail boat taxis, the water is warm and there are lots of seashell if you are into collecting those! Don’t forget beach towels and sunscreen this is the place to put on that dark tan your looking for!
Gotta love Krabi Province and Ao Nang as well as it’s neighboring beaches! Not just for the beautiful location and close proximity to so many gorgeous islands, small & large. It still has a lovely small town, unspoiled country feel and is just packed full of warm and friendly locals. I’m really going to miss them! You should come visit them soon!
One of the most popular beaches in Krabi town, Thailand. I had a opportunity to visit this beautiful beach couple of months ago. I stayed Krabi for 3days and everyday I used to spend 3/4 hours here in this beach. It’s a so vibrant that all day long there are hundreds of tourists enjoying themselves. And after afternoon to midnight there are more than 400-500 tourists are stay on the beach for enjoying sunset. Almost all tourist taking so many pictures .The beach is just adjacent to main road of the town, so anyone who doesn’t get to the shore can enjoy its beauty . There are lots of beach view restaurants there so that tourists can enjoy up to midnight. And it’s a very safe place for tourists.
Obviously most people know this as the place where you can catch a boat to Railay Beach (which is awesome), but this beach isnt bad in its own right. There were some beautiful sunsets here. It isnt very peaceful as there is a busy street right behind the beach, but its not a bad place to chill with a drink or something.Speaking of the street right behind - one of the best nights of our trip was when we went out here, had a great time.
