Relaxed city square with walking paths, lawns & monuments dedicated to Australian soldiers.
Pretty square with memorials to commemorate those fallen in different wars. Perfect place to sit and enjoy the sun or a bit of peace (even if it is next to a road).
Good place to learn about WW1 and 2 hostory and life of our fallen soldiers.
Must see when in the area, great environment and cool atmosphere!
Very good interactive displays re WWII with maps and photos of time in Brisbane and Queensland. Learned heaps.
Fascinating memorial. Part of this memorial is underground. One of the staff studied in Military History. Fascinating chat. Thank you.
This memorial is a beautiful treasure of statues around the gardens to show courage over many years from all who served our country. The hidden gem is the museum that is under the stairs. We found this gem by accident. The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable. There are many stories you can look at, read or to reflect. This is a must visit if in area. Took my nephew, he was so interested in everything.
Love this place for a nice sit down lunch. Despite being in the city next to Central Station, its still calm and not too hectic like other Sydney. Cool architecture and environment.
Beautiful renovation, excellent display and engage a tour host. Great history.
Lovely
ANZAC Square has a new monument! The memorial is in commeration and recognition of those Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and women, of Queensland who have served in all wars and those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
My husband John collab artist for the Bronze of the memorial and I were here today 27/5/22 for the unveiling, it was a beautiful day, we can visit the park anytime and admire the beautiful artworks at the square! Proud wife here!
Beautiful spot in the city to pay respect and have a late night stroll.
Wow! I don’t know how many times I have walked past here but the doors were open today and I went in to the Memorial Galleries. I was met at the door by a lovely lady that worked there who showed me around. She was such a wrath of knowledge and wonderful to talk to. The Memorial is full of interactive displays on the history of Australias involvement in war and peacekeeping.A must visit for every Australian.
Very calm during night time.I enjoy my "ME" time refresh my brain.🤣😁..This place is very near to Central Station.
Nice place to rest before catching the train.
Spent an hour going thru this memorial, which consists of three display areas, one each representing WWI, WW2 and following conflicts. There are many plaques commemorating important events together with interactive displays with information on areas with our military involvement in Queensland, other areas and the Pacific etc. Also, the staff are very well informed and very helpful. So glad we visited.
These gardens make a beautiful lunch spot to retreat from the bustling streets of Brisbane. And the fact that Anzac Square was built with so much symbolism is incredible. One example is the steps have 19 in one part and 18 in the second part for 1918. And I’m told it’s an excellent spot for Anzac Day.
Celebrated the nurses memorial candlelight vigil 2021
The Galleries underneath the memorial have an inconspicuous entrance but are worth a look inside. The memorial plaques have been refurbished and are very interesting to look at: the casualty statistics are certainly pause for thought. There are also some huge touch screens that allow you to explore WWII locations around Brisbane and the rest of QLD, many of which I had never known about before.
A well constructed monument and a very nice relaxing green space to go with it. Definitely worth grabbing a lunch/snack and relaxing under one of the many trees. A little busy a lunchtime but a good spot nonetheless.
Stunning area in a convenient central location. A beautiful quiet place to sit and have lunch or just watch the World go by. Provides access to the train station also. Main buses including free loop buses leave from right near here too.
So beautiful, a great green space in the middle of the city with plenty of seating. The upgrade that happened last year has just uplifted the feel.
Anzac Square means a lot to many people like myself it is a great place to visit this location is very beautiful lots of seating area and its very tidy great location for family to visit and young kids.
A special place to reflect on past events. A monument for the fallen many who sacrificed their lives so that we all now can live ours. The garden below is a peaceful place, very well kept by the Brisbane council. Come pay your respects here. See photos.
The Memorial Galleries are interactive informing about WWI and WWII. Very detailed and precise info on display through several interactive screens correlated by awesome historical pics. On site there are many "wall slabs" dedicated to the Most Honorable Battaillons, etc.Cool, impressive educational job.IU

This a beautiful location blending lush green gardens with regal sandstone monuments. A great place to pause for a moment and reflect. The eternal flame is an obvious highlight and best viewed at night to take full advantage. If you have time during the day you should check out the shrine underneath.
A beautiful Greek style memorial holding the perpetual flame for fallen War vetrans. A great place to attend the dawn service on anzac day. Centrally located right besides the Brisbane Central train station. There are extra early trains put on for Anzac day to help commuters attend the solomn ceremony.
This essential memorial is wonderful to see being maintained and kept for its purpose and for its visual aesthetic.Lest we forget is vital and the commanding appearance of this structure draws those who will take the time to look and learn more, surely become reverently edified.
