Antilla Salsa Disco - Nightclub in Valls, Spain
Excellent place to experience how great is to dance and how people enjoy to do it
Okay… sooo I honestly want to give you one star review. But I know how the all go rhythm works… statistically speaking- more people read one star reviews five star reviews. But this place doesn’t deserve a one star., Guys, I am a hard-core salsa dancer. I love Cuban timba… and salsa.. I dance Miami style on 1… yes, please does not disappoint. It’s located close to the center of Barcelona. It is a really good spot on Fridays and Saturdays. I want two nights in a row Friday and Saturday. I will tell you that the clubs don’t get full till after 12 o’clock… so be ready for a long night if you want to dance. By the time you know it it’s 4 o’clock in the morning. Lol so be mindful of your time. There are cover charges… no need to panic, my fellow Americans. A copper which is $12 or $18. covers one or two drinks inside the club. A 1$eu up chargeFor top top. Shelf… oh, and that the drinks are just fine. There is an upstairs Bachata room that plays Bachata 100% of the time. In the main room at the bottom, which plays Salsa merengue and timba- salsa being 80%. Definitely a great place to come back to get some dancing in. This place closes at 6 o’clock in the morning. No they don’t have bottle service. It’s not worth it. Trust me the drinks are cheap enough. One more thing. The floor is very slippery. So men and women if you like traction, try to bring some shoes that have that a lot of women were taking off their dance shoes because they were slipping all over the place…
Nice dance place. Good vibration.
Amazing place to dance bachata at any time!
Best place to dance Salsa, Bachata and sometimes Kizomba and Zouk with really good (localDJs.The Main Floor is very nice and relatively big but the 2nd floor is pretty small .. nevertheless okay to dance and good concept in general.. also the way how the entrance is managed (often free but with a "must have consumption").Totally my place to go and dance all nights in Barcelona.
We had been there at several evenings during summer 22. Very nice community, good prices, staff ranges from ok to friendly. The DJ were very strange, although everybody there dances cuban style, they play cheesy old Salsa all night long instead of Cuban Timba. Either they dont know better or they get a perverse pleasure out of it. To add insult to injury, they were showing cuban video clips from Pupy, Havana DPrimera etc. on the screens all the time, but never played their music... But if you dont care about the music, its a great place to go dancing Bachata and Salsa.
Great fun for salsa and bachata dancers
Amazing club and great options for drinks.
Decent AC! Good music selection. Good value for the entry fee. Good slidy and clean dancefloor. Music gets a bit too loud after a while (90dBA at first, later 99dBA). All levels of skill are on the floor.
very rude and tactless treatment of the guards at the entrance
It is a school for learning spanish traditional dance.
Very nice place to dance, full of dancers every night it opens. I totally recommend it
So far from my experience at AntillaThursday- Bachata Night! free bachata class at 11:15.Friday-Cuban salsa& Bachata NightThe party starts late. I recommend you to visit after midnight.Great vibe but don’t expect good cocktails there. I had fun dancing there. The bachata level is food on Thursdays.
Good lounge for salsa! Water is crazy expensive though
Excellent fun. Great music. Fantastic people
Good dance floor and music, but expensive drinks and EXTREMELY rude staff. The girls who work in the bar need a course in how to treat guests and make proper mojitos. I wanted fresh lime in my drink (which is one of the main ingredients in mojitosbut they said no because it was for "the other drinks"?! I paid 8 euros for a mojito with lime juice. We will choose another salsa club next time.
Amazing vibes and a huge dance floor. A big yes
Amazing place to dance salsa and bachata
Cool place for dancing!
Music played at a reasonable volume, all ages and experience level dancers, reasonable prices, great energy, this is the place do dance in Barcelona.
Great place to dance
Amazing place for people that are looking for salsa and bachata party; with a mix of European and Latin people is a really good experience being there. Guaranteed 100%!!!
Is a safe place, if you like to dance, come to Antilla Barcelona, youre going to have so much fun.
My compliments to the staff.Very good service, and excellent AMBIENTE.Love the salsa music!I totally recommend it.🤗🤗🤗🤗Support this club!
I was visiting Barcelona and was recommended by a local to try Antilla on Sunday for cuban night and was not disappointed! I got there at 21:30 as I thought there was a class but I think it had just ended when I arrived (must have confused the time). Anyway, I had no problems getting a lot of dances without knowing anyone prior and they played a good mix of salsa/timba/bachata and the dance level was quite good. I didn’t have any issues like some mentioned getting in and I was dressed casual in trainers. When you enter, you’ll be given a red ticket which must be exchanged for a green one by ordering a drink of at least 6€ at the bar. I paid 8€ for a rum & coke so didn’t think prices were bad. Overall I highly recommend Antilla to dance In BCN (at least for Cuban night anyway)!
Great dancing but the bouncers forcefully stopped me from leaving as I lost my drink and exit card. Ruined the experience!!
The bodyguards were ridiculous! They didn’t let us in because “I was wearing sandals and it was dangerous” while the salsa shoes are heeled sandals... Clearly this was just a stupid excuse to not let us in, who knows why? Maybe because we were foreigners.
This is one of the more popular salsa / bachata nightclubs in Barcelona. Make sure to check the itinerary to see what is going on each night. There are two separate dance floors / rooms, so depending on the evening there will be different sets.
Just been and I confirm pretty much most of the comments previously mentioned.Just as I was entering, five women were denied entrance by security without him explaining why. I was however let in as despite asking what was happening, it was clear I wasn’t with them.Once in drinks are expensive. Water will set you back five euros for 33cl of it! That’s a killer when you dancing! The women were mostly level 2 and maybe a couple of level 3s but very few actual dancers. However music and dancers, all depends on the night.I went on Saturday night and it was a bust but Sunday night was a Cuban night and it was packed with very strong dancers. Best advice I can give is to always check the promotions on the Facebook page (for antilla and mojito).
A good bar for dancing. But they played old classics not the new ones when I was here. They play salsa and bachata. Entrance is free but the prices at the bar will rip you off!!! Sprite 6 euros, 3 beers+3 shots and small bottle of water 36 euros. Very expensive and this influenced my rating of this bar.
Awesome awesome awesome place! People were great with great music and great drink prices. Si le gustan bailar salsa, merengue, bachata, you found your home!
Very nice disco. Everybody is dancing and having fun. There are 2 rooms, one for salsa and the other for bachata. Even if you dont know how to dance, people will still dance with you and lead you.
It’s a great place for salsa dancing, they play the best music. Excellent teachers work in Antilla. Free classes Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The audience is internacional, many professionals on the dance floor.
A nice place to dance salsa, if youre an expert and have taken lessons. Otherwise people would make you feel you suck.
One of my favourite places in the world. Wednesdays salsa session with DjNed is always full and a great night whenever you go, it gathers the best latin ambiance and very good dancers of Barcelona. They also do good cocktails. Whether you dance or not, this is a must-visit place in Barcelona at night!
Good place to go dancing salsa, if a bit crowded at times. Not so much for bachata, as there are usually more male than female bachater@s.
Great time there. People have good fun and salsa is everywhere. Its not cheap but offers gret time.
Nice place for dancing but staff in the door are not kind at all. I still cannot understand why they have to behave like they do, pretending they are better than anybody and they just listen whenever, and to whomever, they want. Not professional.
Good music, good dancers. Sometimes overcrowded, a bit pricey (6€ for a soft drink e.g.).
AWARENESS! The adress in Google is wrong! Atilla Salsa bar is Carrer dArago 142! Not 141! Its further on the street.Amazing place! If youre looking for truly Spanish night out experience this is where you should go! Full of friendly people, good music and lively dance. Has two dance floors: 1st big one for salsa, 2nd up the stairs for bachata and kizomba.I went with 4 my friends, all girls, with no a single idea of salsa steps. But the guys didnt mind to teach us some steps. Therere also teachers on the floor(look for guys with Antilla Bar logo on t-shirt). Once in 2 hours there is a massive salsa workshop. Great fun!Warning: girls, dont allow guys to get too close to you while dancing. Most of them are nice, but some are nasty.
The music was good and people were positive. Drink a lot before because drinks are expensive. It is neccessary to buy one drink which is about 6 euros.
For all salsa lovers in town, this is a good place to go and practice your moves. They do classes on some nights and then have an open floor for everyone who wants to practice and show off :). There is no cover fee, but you receive a red ticket at the entrance, which you have to exchange for a green ticket to exit, provided you purchase a drink. Of course the trick is that the drinks are very expensive. A bottle of beer for 6 EUR is a ripoff but hey, you’re here to dance and enjoy! There are two floors playing different kinds of latin music, so if one gets too busy or you’re tired of too much salsa, you can head upstairs and try some other latin rhythms instead.
Amazing place for dancing Salsa or simply watching people do. Entry fee contains one drink, but watch out for prices after that.
Tried to get in on the night of Thursday the 24th of Sept 2015. Security would not let me in, they told me it was a dance school not a bar/club. Disappointing after all the good reviews I read.
Instead of obligatory entrance fee, we got a red card which had to be exchanged for a green one upon ordering a drink. The beer was 6 euro! The service wasnt great either. Great dancers in this club though.
Its a little bit disappointing to go there wanting to dance good Latin music and finding out only "modern" cuban salsa which is awful. The dj was strict telling us that we didnt have the right to ask for our favourite songs!
We had a fantastic evening. Drinks a bit pricey but thats Barcelona. Plenty of men to dance with and everyone was friendly. Music was spot on and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun.Visited 13.4.13
Really nice atmosphere to dance salsa and other latin music.I really enjoyed the "lessons" where a couple taught the attendees some movements.
Went for the first time and it happened to be their 19th anniversary celebration - live band, lots of salsa dancing and some group/called dancing to warm up (if your spanish is up to it). Drinks can get expensive, as per all clubs. Would recommend coming if, like me, you dance salsa and are dropping by from out of town.
Very good latin club, and very nice if you want to dance salsa, bachata and others latin rythms, look out is salsa en linea.
