Antico Caffè del Moro - Restaurant in Vatican City, Vatican City
Antico Caffè del Moro in Vatican City
Description
Privilege
Came here as part of a walking food tour. The amatriciana pasta was really good. Cacio e pepe was OK. The veal was horrrrrrrrid. Avoid the veal, try the pasta. Pretty decent, and friendly staff.
MoreOur favourite meal in 15 days of Netherlands, France and Italy! The lasagna with fresh mushrooms and truffle was to die for. Loved the Italian style fried vegetables and the delicate tiramisu. The hosts were in no hurry.. giving us a great lesson in “lentamente”Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the Trastavere area!
MoreOnes of the oldest coffee shops bars in the area, great service, good selection, nice indoor and outdoor seating
MoreThis restaurant has become one of our favorites in Trastevere. The house special chicken with mushrooms is mouth watering-ly good. So are the rigatoni pasta dishes. Great ambiance inside as well and friendly wait staff.
MoreSuper cute little bar where you can actually sit at the bar instead of at tables (so rare these days). They were making Pina coladas when we got there. I dont see so many bats on Rome making that. They looked good. We just had our typical. Mark had a Manabrea and Jack Daniels. I had a Fernet Branca. Prices were reasonable.
MoreJust terrible experience. At first I thought it would be a great experience, but we ordered and had to wait over 1 hour fot the main course. We saw that everyone received their plates even the ones that arrived much later than us, and when we mentioned that ours was late, they didnt do anything, not even an apology, and still we waited for some time.At the checkout, I mentioned what happened and they laughed at us.
MoreAt the begging I thought it would be a great experience, but we ordered and had to wait more than 1 hour. We saw everyone received their dishes even the ones that arrived much later than us, and when we mentioned that our was late, they did nothing, not a apology, really nothing. At the checkout, I mentioned that we wait for a long time and they left at us.
MoreThe place was cute because of the area (Trastevere). The waiter was friendly, tried to communicate in English. Unfortunately, the drinks didt contain alcohol (e.g. Mojito with tequila than rum, pinapple juice with malibu rather malibu with pineapple 🤣)...Also it was written in the menu that the cocktails cost 7 and the drinks 5 euros, but in the receipt also the drinks costed 7 (maybe because of the juice?🫣
MoreReally good food, dessert and coffee! And of course I loved it inside the restaurant where it wasnt as loud as the other restaurants nearby. Also the staff was very nice, we were seated right away, and I just loved the ambient.
MoreA lovely place! Best happy hour in Trastevere. 6-8 Negroni for 5 EUR and 2 EUR more for a plate of food (aperitivo)
MoreGood service! Great experience with Fork.Prawns exceeded expectations, were big and tasty
MoreOrdered the Jewish style artichokes and Spaghetti alla Puttanesca, did not disappoint. The artichokes were a bit too salty but cooked fantastically. The spaghetti was amazing. Would love to return!
MoreWarm and nice surroundings. For starter I had spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti and the tomato sauce tasted great. Also, the meatballs had soft meat and a pleasant taste .For main I took a plate of grilled meats,A sausage, chicken and two steaks. The sausage was soft and very tasty. The chicken was also soft and quite delicious. And finally, the steaks were juicy and easy to cut. I really recommend this place for dinner.
MoreThe three stars only go for the place and decoration. Beautiful design, reminds the houses of the past. The service is very slow and prejudiced, giving priority to big groups. The prices are also outrageous. No place deserves a 10 euro espresso
MoreGreat service at bar, nice view to the street, we tryied the spaghetti alla puttanesca and ai porcini and were perfect: tasty and well cooked..
