Viale Pasubio, 10, 20154 Milano MI, Italy, Milan
Traditional dining room with antique furnishings, for classic Milanese dishes including ossobuco.
Amazing classic restaurant in a local with much history!
Excellent food and service!
Best Zambaione I have eaten in my life! Try also the Ossobuco with risotto milanese... delicious!
Had a wonderful dinner here. Arrived without a booking on a busy evening, they found us a table and the meals were delicious. I had the ravioli which was delicious and the cold cuts started were good. Service was attentive and they have a very good wine menu too.
Very classic milanese restaurant. All the dishes of the tradition are there, well made. Price is a but hefty, but in these times it is difficult to find quality.
Good quality trattoria, recommended
Best meal we had in Milano, and the service was outstanding!
Found this place online, and very glad we did. Local, traditional restaurant with professional service staff. Food was very good, particularly the Osso Bucco with saffron risotto - seemed to be a specialty of theirs as many people were ordering just that, lived up to the hype. Red wines we ordered were very good also.
Deserves a bit more than 4 stars, but something is missing to hit the five... Everything was good, the food was Very Good, but lacked that little oomph to make it SUPER...!!! I will def go again and for another try...
Excellent place and amazing food! As the name suggests.. antica trattoria! We had cotoletta which and some hand-made ravioli.. everything was amazing!
original cuisine with plus regional recipes very well done
Very good traditional Milanese food and wines. Friendly service
Classical lombardian restaurant with a proper history. The antipasti came with a plate of pickled vegetables that added a much needed acidity to the rich and delicious coldcuts. As a tourist, I felt obligated to try the ossobuco which was excellent. That same choice precluded me from trying any of the desserts. Service was swift, and I recommend sitting front of house for the people watching.
Delicious and classic food. I had the Veal Milanese and the caprese salad, which both were very tasty.
Lovely classic Milanese trattoria with really friendly staff and perfectly correct food. Stunning wine list of gems .
Exactly what youd expect! Surely the best quality Italian cuisine in Garibaldi district
Felt as if they turned us away because we were American / English speakers. Gave us a warm welcome at first but then when I spoke host became very cold and turned us away when there were plenty of tables available.
Tough...Enjoyed the food, the service was great with the exception of the owner losing her class as out group of 6 was preventing her from taking bookings as we were too loud...Honestly in 25 years.. Ive never seen this behaviour...Truly disappointed...Shame for the perfect staff.Honestly she will never see our business again.
Good traditional Milanese food in an old world setting. Osso bucco with risotto was delicious but left no room for dessert. The Cotoletta was also good. Wine recommendation was spot on and well priced.
Booked a table. Was told to wait 5 minutes after booking time, but 10 minutes later found out that our table was given to other person and we had to wait god knows how long
lovely little restaurant near center of Milano with great authentic italian food
Seems like its best days are past it. The Osso Buco was good but besides that everything else was a letdown. The eggplant appetizer was two slices of eggplant, the bread was stale, and then there was this. Overall it just didnt hold up.
Old and historic restaurant, it is placed in the city center right outside one of the main ancient entrances of the city. In the past the merchants used to arrive in front of the walls of the city, weight their goods, pay fees and proceed inside the city. This restaurant is one of the places where merchants used to weight their goods. Moreover in the 1930s the Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh used to work and live here during his international expeditions. The food here is the typical food of the Milanese cuisine, that nowadays is rare to find. The quality is good but the prices are high
Great traditional food of Milan in great old traditional location with great waiters. Frankly a nice discovery just few steps away from p.ta Garibaldi. Cotoletta alla milanese was very tasty and crunchy, the ossobuco risotto looked amazing. Worth the price.
Its good, nice place and effective service. My ossobuco and risotto were a bit salty. Good wine selection.
Great Italian experience!!! Cozy and feels like home. This was a recommendation from locals that we enjoyed from beginning to end. Make sure you make a reservation in advance.
If you need something traditional but old fashioned style of decoration here is your place! We order the signature plates like Gnocchi with Gorgonzola which was really good with melted sauce, pasta with porcini mushrooms also quite good and the totally signature plate Osobucco with Milanese risotto which was really a signature plate and very taste. For the end Zambagione but even if it was “airy” it was very sweet. Finally we pay near 150€ which look expensive for that with one 2 glass of red wine and one grappa.
Our best milano restaurant.Osso bicco, Rissoto, Parma ham, good wine, pickles, milanese cottoleta, trippa ...Amazing, old school, next to microsoft HQ.I recommand you to go in priority!
Had a really nice meal in here. The food was good with a well prepared risotto as a starter. The steak was Mickey cooked as well. However the highlight for me was the desert.
I haven’t tried the Osso Buco at all the restaurants in Milan but I’m certain the Osso Buco here is one of the best ones
One of my top dining experiences in Milan. A true classic Italian restaurant experience with very kind and knowledgable staff and delicious food. The waiter was very accommodating of my food allergies. The carpaccio was outstanding.
Great environment GREAT food and very polite stuff. Excellent Risotto alla milanese!
Super good, classic, on the expensive side. But well worth the experience and atmosphere.
Ok. Service correct, food correct. Prices ok. When we were there it wasn’t full and guests were tourists like us.
Good food, hostess accommodated us w/o res on Sat night which was very helpful. Staff friendly and helpful. Old school Milanese cuisine, and mostly old school local clientele which were both appreciated. Nice red wine recommended by waiter. Outstanding tangerine sorbetto perfectly capped the evening. But what the dealio with the cover charge. Back door way of tipping?
Great traditional food in a very local place rich of history. Make sure to try the "risotto al salto".

By far the best risotto alla milanese, with or without the ossobuco,in Milano...by far!
Loved to discover a new dish: fried risotto with kidneys. I like it. The artichoke salad looked delicious. Wonderful risotto, ossobucco was good, too. Aubergine involtini were good but nothing spectacular. In my honest opinion the prices are too high.
Typical Italian local cuisine. Friendly service and superb food. Let the waiter choose the wine. It fits great.
Fabulous risotto a la milanese.... Very old school restaurant.... Good food... Not cheap.
The risotto was fantastic, I recommend their house wine as well, superb.
Love the food. Good atmosphere. Will visit again when I am in Milan
The gem we found on this weekend trip to Milan! Such a stylish traditional place with excellent food! Cannot recommend it enough!
A bit overpriced but overall a nice restaurant.
We go to Milan twice a year for work and each time there we go to this lovely restaurant for 3-course dinner. This is literally a highlight of the trip for us. The food is delicious, the staff super professional and very friendly. If you are not sure what to order ask Vincenco (our favourite waiter), whatever he recommended was delicious, thanks Vincenco :My favourites are Artichoke salad for starters (available in season only), 1st dish: Francescas spinach and ricotta ravioli (not on the menu, but ask the waiter about itand my favourite main is stake with pepper sauce. We are going there again in two weeks time, Ill try to load some pictures then.
This is an authentic historical Milanese restaurant. Just try the risotto a la Milanese and youll see what I mean. Also we had osso-bucco for main and zambioni for dessert. All fantastic!
Historical place in Milan, where you can eat and savour authentic Milanese cousine. Staff is nice and helpful. A classic when visiting Milan. Americans usually appreciate the place
Prices felt a touch high for what was provided, but the cuisine was authentic and flavorful.
We came here based on a Chowhound recommendation to try out authentic Milanese cuisine. Specifically, we tried the cotoletta alla milanese con fonduta and ossobuco con risotto alla milanese. Both were fine. Actually, we found the stand out of the meal to be an appetizer we had of gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce. The texture of the gnocchi was amazing, somehow incredibly soft while retaining their shape. We accompanied everything with a local wine.
