Another? Wine Bar - Wine bar in Arnold, United Kingdom
An intimate wine bar with a wide array of self-service wines. The options change regularly and are always interesting. Also, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
My friend and I went to another? Last night before we went to see a band. We instantly fell in love with the place. Lovely chill place to have a catch up and try a few too many glasses of wine. Hannah was spot on with her recommendations for what to try next. Will definately be coming back and bringing more friends
Didn’t open when they said they would. Hung up when we chased. No need to be rude
Concept seems OK but the staff were less than helpful and we were overcharged as one of the wines didnt come out properly but this was never taken off our bill despite us asking several times. We also couldnt get an itemised bill to prove we had been double charged (or to split the bill between usbut as we all knew what wed had, we worked out later that the final amount was too high. Wouldnt go back.
Its the place to relax try some great wines and be helped by amazing staff,
A favorite haunt. Wine by the glass in a self-serve format. The staff are always lovely and knowledgeable here. Highly recommended.
Love this place, fantastic wine and great staff. So glad they survived the pandemic.
Great place nice and secluded so not rammed the atmosphere is fantastic and the choice of wines is a perfect mix.... I must also say the staff are excellent too
Just not sure what to make of this rather cozy place after a couple of visits. Theres plenty of seating, excellent range of wines and cider and the staff are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly without being intrusive. Its just the tec of having to put a card into a slot and pushing a button to dispense your preferred measure that feels odd. Wine from the bottle in a vending machine seams incongruous but otherwise I kind of like this place.
Had another brilliant time here, great wine, decent value, lovely cheese board, very helpful and fantastic staff, especially Hannah and team
Unexpected pleasure! A small inside space which opened up to a outside terrace area and wine garden, lovely. Music possibly a little loud for me and group conversation but would go again.
Amazing wine bar, great opportunity to try out different wines. Hannah was amazing and took her time to talk to us about different wines and really knew what she was talking about! Would definitely come again!
Love it here and the concept of the wine dispensers.Outside area recommended when weather warm.
Great selection of wines. Fab service will be back again soon.
Great concept, friendly and helpful staff.
Great wine bar with loads of choice. Lovely atmosphere & hidden terrace.
Ive visited the bar several times - what a lovely find! A different type of experience with lovely atmosphere and staff (we have been looked after by Hannah and Henry). Never disappoints!
Love this win bar, intimate and cosy, friendly staff, great idea that you can select your own wines. One of my favourite places to go in Notts.
A real quality gem within Nottingham which we visit at every opportunity. Thank you for being amazing!
Wow, hidden gem. You get a card to help yourself to wine then pay at the end. Also loved the fact they gave us nibbles free.Candles on the tables perfect for a romantic evening. Thankyou so much we will definitely be back. X
One of my favourite bars in nottingham. Fantastic wine and a great atmosphere 😊
I truly love this place. Wine was good and th e cheese was good
Excellent concept for a winery. Unfortunately they had no bread, biscuits or cheeses left, so we could not stay too long because otherwise we would have tried all the wines. Excellent attention and explanation by the waiters.
Lovely little self serve wine bar with a great selection of wines, and 50ml measures as an option so you can try ALOT without busting the bank (and my alcohol tolerance!). Definitely somewhere to visit when in Nottingham. More comfortable seating would be a great addition.
Always an amazing experience - even for a wine novice! If the weathers nice the outdoor area is a gorgeous spot for a few al fresco drinks, but equally in Autumn and Winter theres still a lovely cosy vibe inside. The staff always super welcoming, too!
Always a delight in this self service bar. Im not a connoisseur of wine but always found a wine I enjoy. A real mixed bag of folks. With both indoor and outdoor seating. Its upstairs so could easily walk pased the door. Take a chance.
Wonderful great wines such knowledgeable staff a true pleasure definitely coming back
So easy to walk past this place, in fact, I have done over 100 times. But this is a gem! Great idea to have self service and I love how it’s controlled by the card. It’s a really nice vibe and the staff are very welcoming. Will definitely be going back.... often!
Good wine, good cheese with a lovely chilled out atmosphere.
Very nice wine bar, perfect outdoor courtyard on a sunny day. Easy self service with friendly staff, will definitely go again.
Another? Wine Bar is a hidden gem on Trinity Square. I almost got lost first trying to find it. It is located in the not new buildings side of the square, you go through a door to upstairs and thats where the magic starts.First of all, the payment system. You arrive, tell them your name, you get a chip card, start sampling your wines, you finish and go to the till to settle he bill. Now the sampling your wine bit: you take aforementioned chip card, you go to a glass cabinet full of wine bottles. In the middle on the top, there is a slot for your chip card. Insert chip card, grab a glass from above the wine cabinet and you can choose from 3 portions: small unit for tasting (50ml), a slightly larger one for a bit more tasting (forgot how many mlsand large (125ml).While there are some really expensive wine where the large tasting sample will set you back 20 quid, there is a decent selection to choose from around 5 pounds, too. While many of you will say, hey, thats an expensive piss-up, I say this is wine tasting.Tap water is available FOC by the bottle and I think I did see bottled beer as well for those who just followed the wine drinking crowd of their friends. There is a terrace with its own tasting cabinet which can be enjoyed on warm summer evenings and several little break out rooms to have a convo with your companion(sof choice for the evening over, say a Californian Zinfandel.
Lovely wine bar with a great selection to choose from. The self-service is great, staff friendly and the building full of character. We like it even better now the terrace has been finished, perfect in the summer.
Great place with self service wine. You get a card on entry which is then your tab and use it in the machines to serve a variety of wines. Its a nice quirky place within an old building and also has a garden at the back. I especially like the tiles in the toilets too.
Love this place. Hidden away near the corner House opposite montys bar this place is a little gem. On entry you get a card for your tab and then you get to self serve your wines (pretty cool). Great selection of whites when I went. Cosy seating and a nice outside area for when the suns out. Not the cheapest drink but a little classier.
A very nice place for people who like wine
Good wine selection, nice seating areas. But most of all nice staff :)
A great selection of wine and cosy atmosphere
Great fun and a great selection of wine 2hich changes so worth coming back to. Shame there arent more good quality wine bars around Nottingham
Interesting concept, basically self service. You get a credit card slide it into the wine cooler with your drink of choice, select the wine and the size of drink you want and presto it gets sucked out of the bottle and deposited into your glass, you pay by card (no cash apparentlybefore you leave. Its a bit of a faff if you are only going in for one drink and the first time it has to be explained so not ideal for a five minute guzzle better for a relaxed stop. The wine was nice, to be honest Im a beer man unless Im eating. But the beer selection was limited to three bottles. The prices reflect the quality so my Chablis Premier Cru was £9 for a medium size but other wines were less than a fiver. There was also the option for a small taster so you could spend a tenner and try five or six wines!
Got a taxi into town tonight just to try this place out as the website and the sign on their door says open Sundays till 22:00. Arrives at 8pm to find the place shut. You just can not do this. If you advertise an opening time then you have to stick to it. People make plans. What if I had a party planned with friends?Fortunately it was only my wife and I that wasted our taxi fare.Well done 👌
A novel concept. You vet a card on entering, which is then used to access wine. There are some great wines and all have tasting notes. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable about the wines. The room is quite cozy if a little small, although further space is available upstairs. The wines are quality and this is reflected in the price. It is very easy to spend more than you plan, while trying different wines.
I had a small gathering at another wine bar this weekend. Sam (ownerwas a perfect host, relaxed atmosphere, food was spot on and wine was lovely. My friends and family had a great time and I will definatley be recommending this place to others! Thanks Sam! This place is a hidden gem and something that’s been missing from the city for a long time :-)
Great idea the fact that you can "take" your own glass to the till and refill with new wine. Some wines are really good, but unfortunately not all of them. Further, ai think it may be slightly cheaper, considering that there is no table service.
Excellent excellent bar. I am nervous about writing this as I would rather keep it to myself and my closest friends. Brilliant concept. Love the wine. Welcoming and friendly staff. Relaxed environment (no vaping..... Fab setting. Few tastey snacks. It is simple - if you like wine you will love it.... If you prefer beer or spirits look elsewhere.
Fabulous choice of wines and staff are wonderful too. Love the decor and would recommend to anyone who wants to have a choice of wines by the glass and a great place to enjoy it in.
A lovely clever way to drink wine! Definitely a place to visit if you are a wine lover! You can taste as many as you want for a small price or, after having read all you need to know, have a small or large glass. Its a small intimate bar and very conducive to good conversation. I would highly recommend a visit!
This place is a great idea! It so hard to find decent wine when out as you only get a choice if one or two normally. We had a choice of 30 wines! You can sample too. Its mostly automated so you can serve yourself. The bar is nice and welcoming so I cant recommend this place enough.
Such a clever concept of a self service wine bar and the only one in Nottingham, so good that you can get samples as well so you can just give a wine a go without committing and find wines that youd never have even tried otherwise!
Just decided to pop in one night and were so glad we did! A lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff and reasonably priced wines. Have been back a few times now and its remained a firm favourite with friends. Couldnt reccomend enough!
Very nice new wine bar. You get a tab-card and self serve from the wine machines. Bonus: you can try 25ml samples. Really nicely done up inside too - several small cosy rooms to enjoy the wine in. Note: it’s cashless.
