Casual chain featuring egg dishes & other breakfast items plus brunch sandwiches & a specials board.
Went in today. Not busy at all. Fully staffed. Got a stack of pancakes that were basically raw on the inside?!?!? WITH NO RUSH??? I wont be going back. Will also tell everyone I know to avoid!!
The woman that greeted us was just awesome. She was a moving Dynamo. Professional efficient effective than whatever it took to make sure that each and every customer was greeted and seated as quickly as possible. The kitchen was on point. It did not take as long to get our food. And it was good!
TWO TIMES back to back weve had issues. The first they gave us someone elses order which unfortunately I was allergic too and couldnt eat. Called to alert them and they basically told to get over and move on. Today we order our food and wait for an hour before the restaurant told the Dasher they were out of what we wanted - unclear if it was the entire order or one specific item- and that we should cancel. I asked if we could replace it with something else.no answer. I called the restaurant directly, the woman on the phone confirmed they did have my order and we were not sold out lf anything. No one told my dasher that. I asked okay so where is my order . While on a 10 MINUTE HOLD, the RESTAURANT CANCELED MY ORDER!?! And the young woman never returned to the phone. Terrible service. Zero stars if allowed.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was delicious. Outdoor seating available.
I used to love coming here. But this restaurant has fell off. The food is no longer is good. I always order the Crab Cake Benedict. The last couple of times I had went there, the food was very acidity. Im a bit disappointed and I will not be back.
Best Breakfast Place Ive been to in a long time. Be ready to get your moneys worth with food to spare. Soo delicious you wont want to stop.
Sat for at least 15 minutes after being seated and never got waited on. Finally got up and left. The white staff appears like they don’t care whether you get waited on or not at this location. Do not recommend if you’re thinking about going here. Find somewhere else to go.
It Is literally impossible to call in and place an order . Their phone just rings and disconnects… The meal was served in kids size bowls and was cold upon receiving it …!!!If I could give 0 stars that would be their rating…!!!
Confirmed a doordash order, but when the driver gets there, says they do accept doordash and do not have the order. The do not even answer the phone! That was $48 I spent that I have to wait now 5 days to receive my refund. I waited for over an hour for nothing!
Was excited to try this place. The food choices sounded and looked great. Many very interesting choices made it hard to choose. Unfortunately it took an extended time for any one to show up at our table. This was a weekday before noon and only half the tables were in use. I could see wait staff talking together at the bar and at the hostess’ desk, but no one really seemed interested in taking our order. At some point you start thinking that I need to stand up and ask to be served. But we waited. Eventually someone did, apologizing for the delay. A disappointing start, but we were understanding.I tried the Mahi Benedict with beignets, the wife chose the cinnamon roll French toast. Both sounded awesome.Again, the wait to get our food was a bit long, but when we got the food my wife noticed there was no cream cheese topping as expected. However, the waitress never returned to see how we were doing. So she ate half of it, as-is.When I eventually caught the server’s eye to bring us the check and a to-go box, we asked about the missing cream cheese frosting. We were told that they were out. But that they are making some now and she will put it in the to-go box. Now, why didn’t she tell us that to begin with? Give us an option to stay with that choice or do something else? (I don’t know about you, but a cinnamon roll isn’t a cinnamon roll without the cream cheese frosting). The answer is because, obviously, customer service is not the priority here. The mahi benedict itself was good, the andouille cream sauce on it was the highlight. The country potato’s were bland and over-cooked. Beignets were passable. There were quite a number of dishes I was excited about trying on another visit, but after this experience we won’t be back. That’s too bad. We had high hopes for this restaurant.
Usually a wait because they are so good. Call ahead and make reservations would be my recommendation. Everything is good, especially the shrimp and grits!
My daughter n I visited there from Atlanta this weekend. Our cousins who lives there suggested we all go there for breakfast and we were glad we did. Everyone was pleased with our meals from chicken n waffles to omelettes, etc. And our waitress Angela was the best!
We were in Memphis for a weekend and ended up here as it was close to our hotel. It is an excellent place, both for food and service. We were served by Cameron, a very friendly person. He gave us great recommendations and service. Very happy to have visited here.
This was our first time going. It was nicely decorated and a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food selection was great. Will definitely be going back. *Yes, I have been back many times...ít is one of my favorite breakfast places*
So basically its over hyped . We found a hair in food and not only that , the lady put the wrong order in. We didnt get what we ordered . but it was cool , the service was nice it was just some up’s and down . AND THEN our replacement omelette was little ash . like you would have thought I ate some already .
Hollandaise sauce was very good but the crab cake Benedict wasn’t. Eggs overcooked, English muffin soggy. Waitress was friendly at first but when the meal was over we asked for our check and she disappeared for a long time. I finally asked another staff member to find her. When she finally came out she stood by the kitchen talking to other servers. I waived at her but she ignored me. When she finally brought the check she threw it at me and made a rude sound. Food not good service terrible won’t be back.
I went here for brunch with my boyfriend :it was his first time and loved it. He got the Mardi Gras Omelette (shrimp, crawfish, andouille sausage with bell pepper and scallion with a creole sauce on topwith potatoes and an English muffin! It was amazing and fresh. I got the Crab Cake Benedict with the City Grits..it was amazing and the grits are incredible. A little different but yummy! Great service! The biscuit beignets are delicious!
The service was horrible our server Kyra was not attentive. She came to our table only 3 times and one of those times was just to bring the ticket. She stayed gone 25 minutes before she checked back with us. Never asked how the food was and brought the ticket and we didn’t get our complete order to our table because she would stay gone 25-30minutes at a time. The food however was good so cuddos to the chefs.
Food was cold as ice, took over an hour to get. Very unsatisfied and will not eat here again. Pancakes had 5 blueberries and a sprinkle of goat cheese on it. Food was undercooked, pancakes liquid in the middle. Tried calling corporate, all numbers disconnected and not answering with full mailboxes. Was not worth the money at all, waffle house was better. Dont waste your money here, they sure dont mind wasting your time.
Not a bad little breakfast spot. I tried the shrimp and grits and it was ok. Not the best but I think a little more seasoning and maybe some butter with the grits it would have been great. I do think it looks like a nice little spot though
The service was beyond awesome and so was the food. Everything was prepared fresh and perfectly seasoned. Throw in the fact that you can have boozy coffee amongst many other adult beverages as well and this makes the perfect (and bougiespot to do brunch.
Great food. Only complaint I had are the servers and the wait to get seated.
We finally went here last weekend and the food was fantastic. The beignets were amazing . The employees were so kind and thoughtful. The place was extremely clean and tidy. Going back again
Absolutely excellent. Our waiter, John, was on point and fabulous. I had gluten free Bourbon Street pancakes. I dont remember the name of the omlet my bf got, but he ate every bite of it and the City Grits! They had a separate gluten friendly menu with many options! We will be back up try more.
A little noisy, but thats because its good. Ive been 2 mornings & order was accurate & warm (who wants a cold omelet). Maria & Asia are obviously experienced handling several tables & refilled my coffee w/o being asked.
This was a very good brunch. We used the Yelp, advanced seating, to check in before we got there and only waited like 15 minutes once we got there on a Sunday, Memorial Day weekend. It was me, my wife, and 2 kids. The food was very good. I recommend the Chilaquales. My wife had the supreme omelet, which she said was okay and both of the kids ate all of their eggs and waffle.
In my continued surch for the best eggs benedict, I had Eggs Blackstone Benedict. The flavors were good but the food wasnt hot. The service was really good even though the restaurant was full. If I lived in the area, or if I return to Memphis, I would give this restaurant another shot.
First off the name of the establishment is everything..it’s everything to the point where you want EVERYTHING on the menu..😍 I couldn’t choose so the young lady who helped me and the group was very intuitive big smile and pointed me in the right direction. I got the shrimp and grits with the potatoes..fye and to top it off with those mimosas; I was in heaven! And because I such great family I was kindly indulging into sampling their food as well..like said everything was delicious ❤️
Bloody Mary was excellent. Lemon blueberry mimosa was good but not worth price for amount. The Supreme omelet and Veggie delight omelet was good. Potatoes just mediocre. The coffee cups are adorable but expensive, $18 EACH.
First off... Order the biscuit beignets as soon as you walk in. The crab cake Benedict is wonderful. Only addition I could ask is for a little more Hollandaise sauce. The eggs were perfect, loved the red peppers. If you like grits, give the city grits a try theyre creamy and smooth you can taste the gouda nice crunchy bacon and raw tomatoes. Shrimp and grits is really good. Good portion sizes, the mimosa is wonderful with lots of flavor options. Service is wonderful there were smiles all around they were moving fast. Service was quick we were in and out in no time. It took us longer to eat than it did to order just like it should be.
This place is AMAZING! always great food. Different selections that you cant find at any other breakfast place. Definitely our favorite place to eat.
Hands down the best breakfast I’ve ever had in Memphis! First off, this place was so chill and cozy! It was definitely a vibe. Secondly, the waiter was amazing and he knew how to do his job so well. And last but not least, the food was DELICIOUS! It came out quick and we didn’t have to wait forever, even with it being so busy. My grits were the best part of my meal, the city grits. I would most definitely recommend this place for brunch, a date, a girls meal, or just a kick off to fuel your morning. We sat in the outside area and I enjoyed the fact that they had security cameras there, the bathrooms were cleaned and also had a baby changing station. 10/10 for sure! I’ll be back.
From the outside it looks just like a little restaurant, once you get inside its a warm and welcoming food and services Operation. So from the beginning you can sit inside or outside both are great and intimate we chose outside and it was warm and got a little nippy , but when the Good Hot Food came it was all worth it . I ordered the Lobster Tail and City Grits and the Napoleon Delight it was a combination of Pancakes, French Toast, Waffle, Cinnamon Bun with Carmel and assorted fruits blue berries, strawberries etc . The City Grits and Lobster was a combination of amazing flavors and topped with Bacon a side of Duo sausage I think thats the name .I ate all my food and took home some left overs for a snack. I was very very very very impressed with this place and I am very excited to return real soon and try something else on the menu . Last but not least the Bathroom was clean , the staff was very polite and they have a team atmosphere, so 1 person will sit you 1 will bring you water 1 will take your order , someone else may serve you its a Excellent business model good way to make me feel like royalty definitely appreciate the great service.Parking is abundantDefinitely one of my best Food experiences ❣️
Food was GREAT. We were in town on business and went here every day. Service was top notch. For some reason, the coffee was really good too. Plenty of parking. Prices were very reasonable. Another great place to eat when in Memphis.
I had a blueberry Mimosa (not fully shown behind my waterwith my chicken and waffles and my daughter had the shrimp and grits it was outstanding! We were served very well THANK YOU!
Amazing food, amazing experience. I highly recommend you visit Another Broken Egg if you enjoy breakfast. This was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The coffee was good, love the mugs by the way, which you can buy. Started with the beginners, which were perfect, then we had the Eggs Blackstone Benedict and a Lobster and Brie Omelette. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. Bacon was crispy. The omelette was rich, had an amazing taste with a good amount of lobster and the melted brie was smooth and rich. We will definitely be coming here for breakfast/brunch again.
11:30...Wednesday, Very Busy and Employees were quick and on their toes to make sure everything ran smoothly. I placed a to go order and it instead of chicken and waffles I did the blueberry almond French toast with chicken and eggs. Everything was HOT AND FRESH!
There was a 2 hour wait so we ordered to go and that took about 30 minutes. Had the shrimp and grits with gouda, and a crabcake. It looked and smelled so amazing that I started eating before taking a pic lol. They were both AMAZING! Service was nice as well.
This was my first time eating at Another Broken Egg (4/6/21and when I tell you, they didnt disappoint, they DID NOT!! I ordered the Spinach-Egg Scramble and I loved it. With real bacon and onion, it was filling. I eat this at home, but not like this!! The grits were not my grits..lol, but they were good enough, but you must add salt. No biggie, because I believe with so many health-related issues people have, it is better for people to add there own.Our waitress, JaMeka (probably misspelledwas wonderful. She was very thorough, personable, polite, and did everything to make sure we were satisfied and happy and on top of that, her liquid eyeliner was popping...IJS..LOL!!! So glad I had the opportunity to visit. Ill definitely be back!! Keep up the great work, as Im sure ALL your customers appreciate it!!
Came here with friends (Feb 13, Galentine’s Dayfor Brunch. We placed ourselves on the waiting list for 11:30AM and only had to wait 10-15 mins after to be seated. The restaurant was honoring the social distancing and wearing of masks guidelines. We ordered a pitcher of The Strawberry St. Germain Mimosa (you can get 4 flutes (give or takeout of itand it was delicious with the right amount of champagne, fruit, and flavoring.I ordered the Lobster & City Grits (seasonal item+ a side of The Maple Apple Chicken Sausage and it was very good. The only complaint I have is that the bacon (within the Lobster & City Gritswas too soft (as I like mine a little more well done). Two of my other friends ended up ordering the same thing as I and they enjoyed their meal as well. Their only complaint was the small portion of garlic bread that came with the meal. The last friend ordered Grilled Chicken & Waffles + a Side of Grits. It definitely was a healthier spin on the classic meal but she enjoyed her meal.Overall, we had a great time with good food! I will definitely come back to try more items!
Our server was kind. However, I have NEVER been to a place where my food arrived before my drinks. It was blamed in the pancake but it doe not take 20 minutes for a small pancake to cook...Other than that, food was delicious drinks were good, when we finally received them, *no discount as I genuinely would have expected simply because they came out 20minutes from when we were seated- our server was surprised we did not have them yet.
Ridgeway/Park Ave. location 1st visit..Was a bit of a wait to get in (30min- ala Covid. But allowance was made where a text could be sent when table was ready. Okay. Cool.Waitress was a little better than average and atmosphere was where it should have been minus the look or unkemptness in a few areas (dont open if the area aint ready)Cost = I dont know. It is breakfast/brunch with two Mimosas @ about 45.00. So, ehh. 🤷🏾♂️ Probably not the place if you down with IHOP or say Perkins. ☆☆1/2Eggs were well represented (guessing that is the specialty!!! ☆☆☆☆☆Pancakes did not match. Translation. Asked for well done edges (you know, like Grandmamaand got one not near done enough and the other wellnover done. Hmmphh.🤔 ☆☆Bacon was about as bacon as expected, though strips were a little small. ☆☆☆The cinnamon roll French toast (though a slick diabetes feeding zonewas ☆🔥☆👍🏽☆🔥☆In the end - would I visit again. Yes!Go 4 it!Another Broken Egg wont break your heart even if near your wallet.
Had a bit of a wait for a table (thats what I get for going on Sunday morning, this place is very popularbut my patience was rewarded with a very delicious Cinnamon Roll French Toast with some scrambled eggs & andouille sausage. The Lemon Blueberry Mimosa paired with the meal nicely, and I even got some complimentary Biscuit Beignets to try. Will definitely be back!
It was a nice lil spot, I sat on the patio which was closed in so it was climate controlled. However, the Floridian omelet I ordered was topped with the delicious crab, not stuffed like I thought it would be. My server John was prompt and friendly. Ill be in town for 3 weeks so Ill try something else next time.
Great breakfast/ brunch spot! My family and I visited for the first time yesterday and enjoyed our experience. I ordered the crab cakes and fried green tomatoes as well as a strawberry mimosa and Id have to say that they are a must have! The customer service was amazing and we were seated almost immediately! Highly recommended!
Tried this today for the first time. Pretty good. I got blueberry infused pancakes without the goat cheese and scrambled eggs. I also tried their coffee. Everything was soooo good. My server was very nice and made good recommendations and was honest about whatever I asked her. It was a little busy but she was as attentive as she could be and very nice and kind. I hardly go out to eat anymore due to lack of good service/food but this was worth it. I can’t wait to go back and try something else!
A taste of Nola in Memphis, thats the best way to describe the delectable treats at this establishment. I like both locations equally. The coffee is hot and classic regular brewed coffee, thats how I order mine. No matter when I visit, its its always something seasonal on the menu and traditional favorites. I dont think Ive eaten the samething twice. Not because it wasnt memorable but because there are other things I wanna try. But we cant leave without sum beignets!!
Update to my previous review!! I must say I immediately received phone call from the District Manager Bob. He was awesome to speak with. And assured me this was an unusual circumstance. He invited myself and a couple of guest back to turn the situation around. I finally made it back this week. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My guest nor the wait staff were told to do anything extra. It was a pleasant putting.I got to meet Bob Very pleasant, nice gentleman. Our server was very attentive. I will return for the chicken and waffles. The syrup is divine! I absolutely love that I’m able to change my rating!♥️♥️We has an early 8:00 Sunday reservation for a party of 6. Once there we’re 3 of us we were allowed to be seated. Our server was nice to explain the restaurant to any first time guest. Most of the group had mimosa’s or Bellini. They were a cut with our ladies the strawberry sparkle something. And the peach Bellini. I had shrimp and grits it was suppose to a top dish.the grits were white still bad sign for me. Watery taste the gravy shrimp andouille wasn’t enough help to make up for the bland grits. The other ladies had more traditional foods. I personally found it over priced for bland food.Their service was okkkkk. At the end the server said something about our guest who left for work. She stated that she thought the young lady was a bit rude. When in fact the lady only asked for the reminder of her meal. (Pancakesbecause the server had come to the table twice without them and her bacon and eggs were cold. In the end the server put food on the incorrect checks, got credit cards all confused and was giving a lady who paid with cash a credit card back. Yeahhh😤
I love this nice cozy breakfast bistro. The staff is nice, and pleasant. The bacon is delicious, its baked. They give you small portions, but delicious ones. The biscuits, and beignets are delicious. The ham is delicious. The breakfast sausage has a maple taste to it, and they homemade. Please make sure you visit when you come to Memphis. It is also located in the back of our hotel, walking distance.
Tight seating area, long wait, and okay food. Good sized portions. Disappointed in the southwestern scramble. No flavor in the chorizo or in the salsa. Fruit side is good, the English muffins looked good. I didnt see the pancakes. Standard chicken and waffles. Coffee mugs were cool..
