My husband and I love Annie pearls! We eat there every chance we get! Super friendly people and the food is AMAZING! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Always great food ,friendly service
Amazing food and people! Clean and delicious.
Always great food and service
I ate here for lunch on a Sunday and the place was decently cleaned and staff was friendly. Our waitress was nice. Food is good but not particularly memorable.
It was ok. Cafeteria style food and very good service.
Always fresh food, served quickly by a friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Consistently delicious food, nice staff and friendly owner. Price is reasonable.
Food was OK, just lots of vegetables from a can. Dont have fried cornbread.
Good selection of entrees, vegetables, & desserts. Great home coming taste!Moved to Dothan this year, discovered Annie last month, & have been to Annies half a dozen times.Would try to advertise more.Great place!
Great service yummy food
They had some very good, outrageously tender and perfectly breaded chicken livers.
I just love their accent and southern downhome cooking. For the price you get a lot of food.
Great food at good prices!
Nice small country buffet, grat service and fair prices.
Pork chops tasted like bore hog, hamb patty like rubber .banana pudding was great
We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident! Didn’t realize google maps was taking us all the way to Alabama (we are on vacation)but already being halfway there, we decided to go anyway. Sooooo glad we did! The food was AWESOME, the ladies working were so sweet and polite and the atmosphere was homey. I’m definitely going to be telling all my friends about this place! Ms Annie, you are doing your thang!!
I got there after regular lunch hours, the food had been sitting out for quite some time. Most of it looked and tasted as if it came out of a can. Although, I could have made a meal off the cabbage it was excellent. The portions were smaller than youd think for a cafeteria style restaurant. The hamburger steak had dried out as well as the onions on top. The gravy tasted right out of the jar. The Mac n cheese was blah. The apple cobbler was hot and tasty, and the young lady bringing my tea refills was very pleasant and personable. I doubt Ill be going back any time soon. ☹️
Small but food is good and service is great and price is right. Enjoyed my visit yesterday.
They have good food. Its much better than most in the area for country cooking. The seafood is very good too.
Enjoyed every thing we ate. It is all good and staff is great.
Best Buffet in The Wiregrass!!!My daughter & son in law brought me here for the first time the day before Mothers Day.It has long been their favorite buffet in the Wiregrass, and for good reason.Upon entering Annie Pearls, one immediately senses that they have arrived at a friendly, happy establishment. The restaurant is well maintained & well organized. (There is none of the crowded, hogs at the slop trough atmosphere like most other buffets. One does not serve oneself. The attendant asks what each individual would like from the sumptuous buffet & the delicious cuisine is placed upon ones plate, as much as one desires, as many helpings as one desires. Multiple individuals are NOT handing or accessing the food as opposed to the standard buffet whereby insuring that the food maintains its perfectly, prepared goodness. My daughter & son in law enjoyed poultry, fish & seafood. I enjoyed the scrumptious, fresh vegetables & dessert. Vegetarians are very welcome here & those of us who cant eat everything the wonderful $12 buffet has to offer are permitted to order from the menu. I chose 2 vegetables, corn bread & a dessert which was the perfect amount of food for me & under $10.I appreciate that!Easter Sunday lunches are superb as well. The personnel are of the utmost cordial, kind & helpful individuals.Customers are treated as guests in ones home. I look forward to returning soon.
Good, home style cooking.Very friendly staff.Good sanitary practices.
Great food. Nice staff
Excellent food, chicken livers were cooked perfect. Veggies were great. Husband enjoyed the real banana pudding.
Friendly helpful staff and great variety of food. I ordered take out and the food was delicious. I will be going back soon.
Trying not to be negative but this is the 2nd time Ive been here & the 2nd time Ive been disappointed. Ordered chicken, wanted a breast & leg but was told they could not give me that. Had to be white OR dark. Even offered to pay extra for what I wanted but they refused.Should have drove to Zacks, better food & the best service...
Dinner was sub par...food is a little bland for Southern type cooking. Also cafeteria style service, if youre looking for a sit down place to enjoy this is not quite the one.
I used to order regularly, but most times I go by and the staff is drinking and smoking on the front benches, so we no longer order from here. I used to work in restaurants almost 30 years ago and they wouldnt allow us to be drunk or smoking in front of all the customers. The food used to be good.. But we are done with this place.Edited to exclude 1 pt .. And the food was good.
My wife and I went there the other day it was our first time there it was a nice atmosphere but once we got in line I felt like we were rushed we barely knew anything about the menu were told to make our choices kept asking us to make our choices then when we sat down to eat, our waitress came over and asked us what dessert we would like we told her thinking that she would wait but she immediately brought our dessert out so now we had to feel rushed to eat our food so we can keep our dessert as fresh as possible hardly worth the price we paid probably wont be back.👎
Great service, really nice people, and the food was excellent. I absolutely recommend a meal or 10 here
Ive never been there before so I decided to check it out and man Im glad I did... Its a quaint little diner....the food was superb... price was very well in reason with the portions and yes I will definitely return there again....😊
Im not surprised. Or Disappointed. No emotional attachment what so ever. Who or what. Physical, Spiritual... Mine is mine. I usually pipe up when I want it. Let me know that whoever knows what I like... Id love to know also. I love me btw and would never allow me to knowingly suffer. If you cant love me or able to support me then ur not me. Duo! On the phone.
Atmosphere was great and employees were very friendly. We went for supper and it seemed like some of the food was leftover from lunch and was hard. The rolls were as hard as hockey pucks. If I try it again will go for lunch
Our first time there. Good hot food. Friendly staff. Decorated cute. Will be back when in the area
Everything was excellent but listen people, if you happen to be stopping in here for a first time visit... get the gizzard! These are the best I have ever eaten period! So tender and they drop them on order, amazing, dont miss this special treat.
The atmosphere, & friendliness of the staff was Absolutely wonderful add I was really excited about trying the home cook Southern food but I will have to say that I was a little disappointed in the quality and the freshness of the food.
Awesome food!! Sooo good!! and prices are very reasonable. Definitely want to visit many more times. You’ve got to try it if you like down home southern cookin. Relaxing atmosphere.
Best southern cooking Ive had in a while, possibly my entire life. Staff was super friendly, restaurant was clean, and servings were generous...price was way cheaper than I ever expected it to be. We have been twice now and plan on going back fairly soon. If you love great tasting southern food you wont be disappointed.
This place is AWESOME!!! Me and my wife went there for the 1st time today and everything was great! Weve traveled all over the country and are from the South, but this place is something special. We live 4 hours away but will probably take a trip every now and then just to eat there. They are that good!!!
Friendly service. Best feel good food in town!
The food is good. The only reason why I am giving them four stars is because the rice was overcooked and mushy. The bourbon chicken, chicken fried steak and Salisbury steak were good. The green beans, turnip greens and Mac and cheese were great side dishes. The service is great!
Fried chicken was good. Greenbeans and rice were okay. The bread pudding needs a sauce. The pudding was tasty but dry. The employee asked us to get up from sitting at a table until we went through the line. Two of us didnt plan to eat. It was pretty embarrassing and rude since there was plenty of seating avail. Bathroom was clean.
Its sad that this place is too far away for us to come regularly! The service was quick, even during the Sunday rush. The food was freshly prepared and seasoned very nicely. And the orange-pineapple pound cake is worth every possible calorie! And the price was very reasonable. Id be willing to bet that the weekend buffets are fantastic. Go there. Now!
We have been there a lot but have grown tired of it. They are open every night now except Sunday. We think that was a bad decision. Vegetables and some meats seem to be leftovers. Bread does not taste fresh either. We sometimes get an all you can eat meal for an extra meat. The food was not worth the price and we did not want anything extra. We have never commented about the food and experience not being good or worth the price but it comes up frequently now. Fried chicken is always excellent.
We wanted delicious southern food and we found it! I got the fried chicken, greens, mac & cheese, and cornbread. It was all wonderful, especially the greens. For dessert I ordered the orange pineapple pound cake and it was to die for! The only thing I didnt like is that I couldnt have more than one slice of that delectable cake! It was probably the best and most moist pound cake Ive ever tasted! Well be back for sure.
Not bad. Not great. Sides are better than Blue Plates. Fried chicken is pretty good but definitely wouldnt consider it "southern fried". Only a very light dusting of unseasoned flour. The country fried steak tastes like a cheap TV dinner patty. Obviously a pre breaded and frozen product. Service however is very attentive and friendly. Ive heard the AYCE catfish is good on the weekends and plan to try it for myself. I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Overall...for lunch, OK.if youre passing through, but l wouldnt go out of my way. They could stand to sweeten the deal by throwing in the drink... I dont often eat desserts, so l asked if l could just have an extra piece of bread instead. You would have thought l had asked them to donate blood, but they gave me one. I dont want to rock the boat so l just get the dessert now and give it to whoever wants it.
I absolutely love this place! I eat here as often as I can for lunch and its just amazing. Even though its a buffet, you still get one on one service from the ladies who come to your table for your refills and to make sure you have everything you need! Couldnt ask for more from a restaurant, especially a buffet!
This is a wonderful place to eat, especially if youre in a hurry. Cafeteria style service guarantees fast service. The food is delicious and you have a good selection to choose from. And all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Its a regular stop for us.
This was by far the best restaurant Ive ever been to since moving to the Wiregrass. Im a Mississippi girl and it felt like home. Mississippi Catfish has nothing on what I ate this evening. And we met the SWEETEST people. The servers are so nice and we met a regular named Gabe. THE SWEETEST MAN IN THE UNIVERSE. I recommend giving it a try and getting to know the people there. There are no other words for this place other than it feeling like home. We will be back.
