This expansive, protected area in the Himalayas is known for its many scenic hiking trails.
BeautifulThe hotels are packed so need pre-booking in trekking season. Its always too cold there, especially after the rain.
It was an amazing Tour with my childhood friends. Everyone surely would love the Beaty of that place.
Best place for trekking and hiking. But I suggest you to carry necessary supplies during your visit because there are very limited shop and you may not find what you need.
This is a perfect trekking place of nepal where you can enjoy your holiday with full of fun...
The trekking route is bit damaged, needs to be repaired. There’s little bit litter on the way by the hikers. The hotels are clean and friendly. The nature is untouched.
great experience there ! 4 days on climb and 2 days on return
Happy to share my place photos and videos
Breath taking experiences with full of surprises, enjoyed every step I took ahead.

One of the beautiful and holly place of nepal in the lap of mountain.
Its wonderful Area where my home Also located .if someone wana look 👀 how heaven looks like then do visit Annapurna conservation area Lamjung ,Nepal🇳🇵
Nice place to visit. One of the best places to hike in Nepal. Rainy season is not ideal to travel here.
A strenuous trek but worth doing . Take a steady pace and enjoy the view along the way. And please do not play music on your portable speakers. If you want to listen some music use headphones . I however, prefer the sound of nature .
It was a worthy experience to visit annapurna Conservation area
Exhilarating moment at the end with a 2 days of cumbersome trek from Kymrong. But definitely worth the walk.
Love this place.... you can get the best view of Annapurna south, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre from this place.
I trekked here.. it was lovely n mesmerizing , mainly the treks in Nepal are so organized.. good resting places for all trekkers.. they promote trekking so much.. appreciated..
One of the best trekking route! From the elevation of 500 frome sea level to 5200m. Such a diversity
Best time of my lifeBest achivement done by me when i reach top of base camp only 4 days of trekking felt like all the hard works pays offThe scenary was incridibleI went there alone but make absurd amount of friends during my trekking period which is an amazing journey ill never ever forget it . . ! ! 🎪🎪
Great trail beautiful places. The highest pass of the annapurna range is 5416m n it was beautiful Thirang La Pass . Beautiful mountain awesome view . Good trail for trekkers who are willing to to trek over. U will have a lot of fun through hotspring, apple farm, waterfalls . Blue sheep, Yak Steak is the mouth watering food which the best food for mee.
If you love mountains then you can’t miss the chance to visit this place because it has been a home to some of the world’s highest peaks. You can also witness the world’s deepest valley of Kali Gandaki. Almost all the trekking permits are also available in this conservation area.
Beautiful area. A must see. Varying degrees of landscapes as one moves from lower elevations in wetter climates to higher altitude dry climate rain shadows.Pictures taken first week of November, 2019
If you loves to do trekking, tho is a really good places where you must visit. The Annapurna circuit trek is a trekking where you spend 15 or 17 days, and you have a good experience into the mountains, people and yourself. Recomendable 100%
Its probably the best and nearest route for treaking in Nepal. You can see 360 degree range of mountain (only if weather is clear). Five days treak from Pokhara to reach and two days for back to pokhara. Highly Recommended.
Awesome trek.I am currently (30/08/19doing it solo (no group, no guide). It is hard. You should expect to struggle a LOT at several points but its worth it in the end.I am currently at Ngawal (3700mand the views keep getting better and better. You start in the rainforest where its really warm and humid, then it gets colder and drier as you go. I currently wear thermal underwear (trousers + t-shirt), shorts, high socks and hiking shoes. I expect to end up with a couple more layers, including a warm jacket as Im approaching Thorong La pass.So do it but know what youre coming for. I mean dont expect something like holiday in a resort in Greece or Portugal. Best of luck!
Amazing Trek, beautiful scenery and landscapes, I recommend checking the weather before going and bringing good hiking shoes because the terrain can be difficult in some parts.
One of the most beautiful places Ive been at, for 14 days we were trekking through the area, the landscape has changed around 5 times...From a village to a forest, desert, rocky mountain top- even snow!Highly recommended!
One of the nature miracles! A collection of all the mother nature beautyWell, to describe this small piece of heaven I can say that it is a forest in a mountain with many waterfalls!I spent there a 4 days trekking and I am planning to visit again for a longer period.
The biggest conservation area of Nepal creates the Short as well Long, easy as well tough and lower altitude as well higher alpine trekking trails. Also mix of cultural, flora and fauna, wildlife, traditions, natural hot spring pool, mixes of religious as well festivals BUT CHOOSE THE BEST TREKKING TRAIL as your interested and adventure grade.
Wow wow wow! Mindblowing days in the mountains again! I did not know what i could expect after 1 month at the Sagarmatha National Park with Everest and Gokyio and the area! Thanks you Annapurna and people and nature to feel myself complete in my trekking days around here! I will definitely come back one day and we see each other again!
I wish I could just imprint the view on my eyes. The view of snowcapped mountains in the early morning with all the stars and moon adding to the scenery was just wonderful. As the day progresses and gradually sun comes out, you notice the change of colour of mountains from light shade to bold laga color. It was majestic. ❤️❤️
Probably one of my favorite place for trekking with friends who are not trekker, but want to challenge themselves! You can trek by yourself, or with a guide, and porter if you want (I recommend to start by your self, and if you feel tired after few days, you can found porter in most villages you cross). Small villages with lodges available every 2h walking, so you feel relax and stop when you want.Physically this trek is not so hard (ok, sometimes, because of the altitude, you gonna suffering a little bit ;), and must of the time you can choose between a trekking way (more interestingand a dusty road (more easy). For the total circuit, you need more or less 20 days (including 2 days of rest), but you can also use jeep service (shared with other trekker to be cheaperto reduce the trek to 6 days.
One of our best treks ever. Lots at streams and plants. Many local places to refill your water for a RS100 where locals serve good meals too. Lovely views of the snow capped mountains along the route.
Nice place to get back to nature. Lots and lots of steps if you can call them steps. Lots off tea houses to stop off at 1000nrp per night most bills 2800 with all food and lodging
One of the best places in Nepal for trekking...One of the best places of world to travel before you die...New experience, sights, culture, language, thrill, adventure on every step..Too much options of places to stay..Too much hotels nearby...Internationa foods available...Tourist help desk available...What do you need more?If you are strangled....there is hospitality...Hospitality of best culture of world..Nepalese wont let you down...
Breathtaking to say the least. Expect rough terrain. But very hospitile guest houses who serve good food. Spend a night at the base camp...clime the ridge at night and listen to the glacier move. Surreal!
I went for the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek here. This area includes a lot of other treks like ABC, ACT, Mardi Himal etc.Its a pristine, protected and desolate area that is ideal for trekking. You would be going through lush forests, narrow trail routes and a lot of steps. Enroute you will see small waterfalls, parts of Modi River, views of the Annapurna massif, including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Macchapuchre, expansive mountains covered in fog and authentic village life.I would highly recommend the Poon Hill trek for first time trekkers. There are some beautiful views enroute and you get to experience authentic Nepali village culture from up close & personal.I am definitely going there for a second trek mostly for Annapurna Base Camp.Preparation for Poon Hill TrekBe prepared to walk a lot, you need to be physically fit to do this trek. It takes about 4 days to go from Pokhara to Poon Hill & back. For this trek you should get trekking boots if you can although its not necessary, I did it in my Adidas running shoes. But during the trek my ankle took a lot of load because if the flat sole that didnt provide enough of a cushion. Get a trekking pole, bamboo or the professional one, anything is okay. Pack light, take 5-6 underwear, two polyesrer light weight trekking pants that are waterproof and three polyester shirts. Polyester dries fast. Pack soap & toilet paper. You dont need anything else for this trek. Most lodges enroute have towels & blankets. Do not overpack, it will only make your trek that much more difficult, unless you hired a porter. The routeDay 1 - Pokhara to Nayapul by car, Trek from Nayapul to Ulleri for 6-8 hours. The roads are not that good, loose sand & rocks. Be prepared.Day 2 - Ulleri to Ghorepani, mostly steps. Trek for 4-5 hours.Day 3 - Ghorepani to Poon Hill Up & down in 2-2.5 hours. You need to wake up early at 4 am to see good views. Descend from Ghorepani to Tadepani, lot of steps, trek for 4-5 hours. Overnight stay in Tadepani. You can see Fishtail sunrise from Tadepani, its beautiful.Day 4 - Tadepani to Ghandruk, muddy trail routes & steps, trek for 5-6 hours. Take car/bus from Ghandruk to Nayapul or directly to Pokhara.
Really nice place to spend short holiday. Its pretty much difficult trekking to beginners but lots of hotel and restaurants are available in every 2 hours walking distance. The view from the trekking is stunning if there is no clouds otherwise you could enjoy the nature as well. Nice place to visit and go.
Once-in-a-lifetime experience!! I had a 5 day trekking to Annapurna Conservation Area (Ghorepani Poonhilland it is the best trip ever. This place is truly a paradise for everyone who loves nature and mountains!
Once in your life time to visit this place might not enough. Beautiful and worthwhile 9 days trekking. Moderate route. Come complete it with or without guide. I will surely go back there again.
Trekking in this area is full of surprises in every twist and turns. Really loved the view and scenery. The trail is quite clean. Its a life time adventure to trek in this area. I strongly recommend everyone to trek here.
I am walking the Annapurna Circuit. This trek gives and keeps giving. A true mountain and cultural experience. The mountains just keep getting bigger and better as we proceed along our way.The Tea Houses are all welcoming and the local people are always nice.
So far this times experience with my two chilean customers is fine. They are satisfied whatever the view and weather favour us. In poonhill also, we were able to see the sunrise and mountains, from tadapani and Landruk also. And today, second last day also become memorable because of unexpected clearance of weather when we went for sunset @ Australian camp.Thank you.
I have been here twice and each time I have loved it. The reason is the nature itself. The sky, trees, waterfalls everything is lively and marvellous. They give u fresh smell and if you need calm n distract yourself from your urban life this place is exactly where you belong.Naturally beautiful and no artificial beauty. The trail is easier to walk well its steep so can be difficult sometimes
We did Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp trek in 9 days. It was hard for us, because we did it ourselves without porters or guides, and it was our first time trekking, ever! But trust me, its all worth it. The nature, the people, the cilulture, theyre all so beautiful. You have to try this trek at least once in your lifetime!
