Hotel doesnt provide any parking lot, breakfast is nice and decent, honeycomb quite impressive
The waitress called leoni was really kind and cheerful. I liked her appearance. The restaurant overall is really good designed
Lovely hotel in the perfect location! I only wish I brought my girlfriend here, she would have loved it even more than I did.
Cool location. Enjoyed the Tapas style food. Competent service. Would definitely visit again.
Very nice and trending hotel in the center of the city. The staff is kind and a they have a good breakfast.
Amazing experience! Incredible architecture and even more incredible intervention, loved the double volume effect in the rooms, pity that there are only 5 stars for the rating. Well furnished, super location and super helpful staff.
Beware of late arrivals. There will be no one to let you into the hotel if you arrive late and you will have paid a pretty high price for nothing. I arrived late in Lucerne late so I showed up at 12am and could not get into the hotel. Last thing you want to do after a full day of travel. There are plenty of other choices around that will make sure you can spend the night in a room you booked. And never book it via Hotel Tonight, their support service will do nothing to help.
From start to finish the experience at Hotel Anker was absolutely fantastic. Booking was done in a few clicks, got upgraded upon arrival, hotel room was spotless and the general atmosphere was definitely awesome. We loved the design and location of the Hotel, would not just recommend it, we will definitely be back to discover further the beautiful city of Luzern.Once more, well done to the entire team of Hotel Anker - Yves & Tom - Greasemonkees.ch
Navy themed, a mix of modern and rustic architecture. Not much common space, but everything is very carefully cleaned, organized and looking amazing. Some of the receptionists are not very courteous, don’t bother to answer greetings, but overall, ok.Restaurant in some days a really hard to get a table, we were surprised that all restaurants we tried on a Saturday were fully booked, even the hotel’s.Be aware that you might have to book restaurants in advance, even small and regular places.Breakfast is 35 CHF, we ended up not having BF here.Tv is pretty annoying, over 90% of the channels are in German, and tb does not allow you to chance language spoken nor subtitle’s. Also, it will not let you mirror from your phone, it is completely blocked, that threw me off, though.
Super hotel! Amazing service, so kinda people finding the best solutions for my problems ! Nice advaces for where go in town ! Beaaautiful bedroom, sooo confortable bed. Really good breakfast ! I totally recommend.
Super good breakfast full of different choices and the food is so fresh and delicious. 👍👍The service in hotel is fast and friendly. As for the room, it’s cozy and chic, good for travelers to take a good rest. 🥰🥰
Lovely ambiance, well-appointed rooms, excellent location, clean, friendly service — unfortunately the cocktails were a disaster. Save yourself the disappointment (and the moneyby sticking to wine and/or beer.
The most creative hotel Ive visited. Helpful and kindly staff, great food, wine, atmosphere. Shower gel so amazing that you have to buy it at home 😍I recommend 11/10 🙏🏻
My wife, dog, and I stayed in the place for two nights. The main thing that we loved was the welcoming staff, cool vibe of the place, and how well informed and friendly they were. Special thanks to Kay who was kind and friendly to our dog as well. The location is great, value for money is good for Lucern. One note to consider - no closets in the room but it didn’t bother us! Thanks Kay, Lula sends shalom (hito you! and thanks team for making our stay so enjoyable!
Dear Anker’s Management,We do apologize for this rating which is not based on a stay at your property but it’s related to a booking process in your hotel & hopefully you can assist us in this problemUnfortunately my case is very special with Anker hotel in luzerne since my trip as a family is due within 4 days from now ( 21st July& we have arranged for booking through booking.com & full amount has been debited from our credit card since the booking was on non refundable basis which was very known to us . By mistake, I have canceled my booking by selecting the wrong one. I have tried to reach the hotel to reinstate my initial booking since we’re are traveling & all our tickets were purchased in advance ..though this is something feasible & as a customer this mistake can be addressed by the hotel especially I’m not asking for refund. As a big surprise to me , when contacting the hotel management, they didn’t solve my case stating that they’re not able to refund the amount as per their policy & I need to do another booking by paying the amount again …Trying to get booking com support for the same but the same answer given to them by the hotel management!!!!Is it a proper way to deal with your customer in such way without being able to think out of the box by understanding your customers needs / pains & try to solve this as it will not cost you anything …I’m writing this now to find a solution for this basic things & express my frustration because frankly this is very disappointing and our full trip to Switzerland will be spoiled with such issue
This hotel is quite classy for a 3 star hotel. Comes with free breakfast which is quite healthy and decent too. Yours truly @fooderarri
Best location, best staff, free cycles given to our family. Nice breakfast. Nice big rooms and washroom.
Really cool bar with a great drinks menu. Theres a fire burning in the winter and the whole kitchen is visible to the entire bar.
Had a really nice stay at Hotel Anker. Modern but quirky! Only negative about the room was there was no separate room for the toilet, it was all an open space sort of. Breakfast was great!
Very nice Hotel with lot of special little details. Its located in walking distance to most of the hot spots in Lucerne. We booked the Turmsuite (with own whirlpool on the rooftopfor a bachelorette party and it was just awesome!!! I can truly recommend it. We all loved it.
Just perfect ! Charming, confortable and fined decorated rooms ! Glamourous hotel and very well located. Complete and delicious breakfast as well !
Delicious food in a cozy space. Great little touches like a plate fitted for the dish and utensil. Or roasting marshmallows for free as an end to the meal. -1 star for small portions at excessive prices.
If I could give no stars, I would. The rooms are hotter than river styx. My sweat had sweat. Don’t worry though, for a large fee you could get a fan to cool the room. Going to sleep is nearly impossible as the Anker Restaurant turns into a nightclub past 10pm. Don’t even bother trying to enjoy the atmosphere as the tubby waitress will rudely confront you about purchasing something... But the decorations were cool 🖕🏽
Probably the best burguer in town. They have a great charcoal grill and the service is really good. Pricewise very similar to other restaurants in Luzern. This is the third time I’ve had dinner in Anker Restaurant and I will repeat for sure.
Good location, clean, renovated, well decorated rooms. Breakfast is tasty. Friendly staff. Would definately come back!!
Very comfortable hotel a short distance from all the main sights. Loved the design and quirky vibe. Photo booth is a really nice touch.
Friendly and helpful receptionist. Very prompt in sending things to the room and were kind enough to lend us umbrellas . Very accomodating and love the hypster like atmosphere in the hotel. Ideal for a couple stay. Train station is less than 10 minutes walk and the Chappel bridge is walking distance. Theres a Halal Kebab place Infront of the hotel as well
Currently there is jack hammering right outside our hotel window that began at 7am. Do not book this hotel until the project is completed unless you want to ruin your hearing (yes, we tested noise levels).
Loved this place but I does have a few flaws. We took a gamble on it as it was much cheaper than similar locations in Lucerne. We picked a Superior Medium room and asked to be on the quiet side that faces the mountain. They front desk couldn’t promise it but said they would try and managed to secure it on our arrival. I understand the rooms that face the road can be noisy. It’s clear that a lot of care has been put into the renovation of this place. Every floor and wall/corner is decorated thoughtfully. The service however takes away from all of this effort. Despite booking a superior room there was no shampoo or conditioner, no coffee or tea, ironing board, cutlery or fridge. These things are usually standard in a hotel of this price. The front desk charged us a deposit to borrow a kettle for our 7 night stay, and charged us to borrow an electrical adapter. It made us feel like thieves, as if we were going to run away with these items. The house keeping was truest bizzare. We came back each day to find random things missing - a whole bed doona, no towels, cleaning cloths left in the sink, no pillows. It seemed like they had rushed, but then you could often see the cleaning staff sitting around on the couches in the hallways. We really wanted to take the tour of the hotel to find out about its origins, which were advertised in the information booklet in the room. When we enquirer we were told this is only really a tour for locals, it’s conducted in German only and not for tourists. This is seemed odd given it was advertised to guests in the room. The hotel is well situated, close to buses in all directions which they give you a free transport pass for. The breakfast was very sufficient when actually stocked. Fresh croissants, bread, yoghurts cheese and meats. Some fresh fruit would have been welcome. Unfort the restaurant is highly understaffed and the food often runs out and you wait 20mins for it to be refilled. The coffee machine often broke down and you had to ask staff to make you coffee from the bar, which was a big ask as they were very busy. There are no eggs cooked to order as previous reviews mention. But there is a machine that boils water for you to drop eggs into and some precooked bacon that is quite dry. Sometimes other guests steal your eggs however and you must start the cooking again.
My wife and I stayed here during our long weekend in Switzerland. We only stayed in Lucerne for 1 night but really wish we stayed longer. The hotel is in a perfect location; its about 10 minutes walking down a main road from the central station or you can take the #1 bus right across the street to the hotel. The rooms were very nice and clean, we had a great view outside to the mountains and the rooms had a shared balcony you can go out onto as well. There was a safe but no refrigerator in our room. Our room was on the 1st floor which is actually the floor above the restaurant. The speakers for the restaurant are ceiling mounted and as a result you can hear the bass in the rooms even when the volume is low. It was not enough of a nuisance to disturb our stay, just something to be mindful for those who are sensitive to sound.Breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, great choices and all very fresh! Also, if your looking to purchase some handmade wooden souvenirs, they are sold in the lobby of the hotel. They are cheaper here than at the tourist information store or any of the gift shops in town. All in all we would definitely stay here again. It was also a 2 minute walk to the river and the old town for delicious food!
This reataurant is very appealingly designed! For sure one of the best options in town if you like it a litthe diffrent from the rest. The food is good. Staff is okay. I like to go there. Good lunch offer too.
Great business hotel in heart of the city. Amazing hospitality and service. The hotel is like a art gallery with superb interiors. There is fine dining and bar available. Breakfast was sumptuous. There is a souvenir shop with unique items. Rooms are very comfortable with clean beds with all the nice amenities you can expect in a good business hotel. Highly recommended.
➖ The room was tiny and poorly equipped: no safe, no tea kettle, no wardrobe, no minibar.➕ Renovated hotel with long history located conveniently at the city center.Staff was very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was delicious and with good selection.General atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant.
A great place with friendly staff, a funky decor, great food, in the middle of lucerne. The rooms are extremely quiet. Super location, we will be back again and again!
Better hotel than officially rated. Staff is nice. rooms are beautifully decorated. Little details are well thought through. And the hotel restaurant is small but serves good food - breakfast was very good. As for location wise - it is conveniently located in a short walking distance from the old city. The only down side is the lack of parking, which added cost should be calculated in
Great vibes and reasonable price compared to other area hotels. This hotel has a modern feel and its close to most sights. This hotel is also only about .5km from Lucernes central station. The only downside is that the rooms are lighter than normal by European standards with an interesting bathroom setup (no doorsand the hotels restaurant is pricey ($$$)
Outstanding hotel with lots of ambience. The architecture was very cool. The breakfast was incredible with made to order omelettes, fresh honey and a juicer. The coffee machine served delicious servings of espresso, coffee americano and cappuccino. A must see..go downstairs to see the very first unisex bathroom in Lucerne. We were upgraded to the most gorgeous room with an Indoor patio. Perfect location if you want to be away from the majority of tourists. Walking distance from the metro. By far the best hotel we have stayed at.
Really funky hotel, rooms are small but we had a nice balcony with a good view. It includes a nice breakfast, which is great because food in Switzerland is very expensive. We are at the restaurant for dinner, which again was very pricey but the food was great.
Absolutely yummy food, great value for money, healthy options, cool ambience, friendly staff, everything perfect. Definitely coming back. Also, not hectic neither too loud despite being full on a school night.
The room had an odd smell which didnt bother me as much as the flickering bathroom light and the bathroom window which didnt have a curtain to cover it and provided terrible privacy from the office building just opposite to us. They did try to fix the light and covered the window with a towel but seemed rather silly to design it like so in the first place. We asked and the staff said the window was not a one way glass but they didnt think people would look in. Weird
Rooms and the service of the hotel is very good. Food is OK for the vegetarian people. Love the music and the breakfast. Its near to the Lucern station which is an added advantage.
Rooms are of average size. Power sockets are those wierd Swiss ones that dont really work with many continental power plugs, but luckily they provide adapters. The hotel does provide local bus passes and guest cards but youll need to ask the front desk for them. Otherwise its mostly a pleasant place with only minutes to/from the Bahnhof, really convenient.
Lovely hotel! Beautiful room, clean, safe and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Restaurant is very good; however, it would be helpful if they offered room service for dinner. They will provide trays to take food up to rooms but the restaurant is so crowded, it’s difficult to get food to take away. They do offer wine at a special price to take away, which was awesome. They have a great wine selection. Overall extremely satisfied and will stay again on my next trip.
I really liked the Hotel. Very stylish and all new. I havent eaten there, but my colleagues told me the food was exceptional. Hotel closes at midnight and the access cards to the rooms did not work for everyone.
Conveniently located a short walk from the main train station, it has cosy modern rooms with a big TV, very comfortable beds, and nice bathroom. For some reason theres a little common hall behind the rooms, which is a little annoying as you need to keep your curtains shut. The service is friendly and the restaurant (also for breakfastdownstairs is handy.
Clean rooms, great location, nice atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing - cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, cheeses, and eggs to order. Only thing we didnt like was the way the shower stall is designed, the water will get everywhere if you are not careful.
Very modern feel. Lacking a mini fridge. If need to boil hot water, ask staff since its not in the room. Can hear noise from outside hotel not all the time. Ogerwll pretty good stay.
We had great experience in the restaurant. It look really trendy, imaginative and unique. We had a delicious dinner with a friendly service. We got a tour through the hotel which was really marvellous. I really must recommend you food from the Josper grill, which is really delicious. Another great restaurant opportunity in Luzern.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but perfectly laid out and wonderful big hot rain showers. Room had a balcony with terific view of Mt Pilatus.Breakfast was the best Ive had in my travels. Scrambled eggs bacon, salmon,Cheeses fruit cereals and lots of different coffees and teas.
New hotel within an old exterior - very smart and impressive. If you intend to eat in the restaurant, ensure you book early as we missed out. Breakfast was fantastic
