Ankara Painting and Sculpture Museum in Kırıkkale

Ankara Resim ve Heykel Müzesi, mimar Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu tarafından Türk Ulusunun Büyük Lideri Atatürk yönetiminde 1927 yılında kurulmuş. Müzeye girer girmez Türk Ocağı odası var. Zaten burası önceden Türk Ocağı imiş sonrasında müzeye çevrilmiş. Tarihi bir bina ve binanın iç mimarisini çok sevdim. Eski zamanlara götüren bir havası vardı. Modern ve geçmiş dönemlerden birçok değerli sanatçının eserleri vardı. Yaklaşık 2-3 saat müzeyi gezdim ve eserleri inceledim. - Müze Kart ile giriş yapılabiliyor. Müze kartınız yoksa da bilet fiyatı 35 TL . Öğrenci bileti yok. İçeriye girerken çantaları emanet dolabına bırakıp anahtarını yanınıza alıyorsunuz. Çantayla gezmek yasak. İçerisinde WC mevcut, hemen alt tarafında Müzenin kafesi var su ve diğer ihtiyaçlar için kullanılabilir.- içeride bir çok güvenlik var ve eserlerin etrafında alarmlar var çok fazla yaklaştığınızda alarmlar çalıyor. Benim gezmekten çok keyif aldığım bir müze oldu . Gidip gezeceklere iyi gezmeler 😊

I. Ulusal Mimarlık Döneminin en görkemli yapılarından biri olan Ankara Resim ve Heykel Müzesi binası, 1927-1930 yılları arasında “Türk Ocakları Genel Merkezi” olarak inşa edilir. 1926 yılında açılan yarışmada, Atatürk’ün direktifleriyle Namazgâh Tepesi’nde Etnografya Müzesi’ni yapan Mimar Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlunun projesi birinci olur ve yapının inşasına başlanır. Böylece Ankara’nın tam kalbinde yer alan Tepe’nin günümüze uzanan silueti de şekillenmiş olur.Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’ün “Buradan ayrılmayı istemiyorum. Yapan eller sağ olsun” diyerek bahsettiği Mimar Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu’nun bizzat kendi elleriyle yaptığı tezyinatlarla süslü Türk Salonu, geleneksel motiflerle bezeli görkemli konser salonu ve modern yöntemlerle sergilenen paha biçilemez eserlerin bulunduğu Ankara Resim ve Heykel Müzesi, birçok ilke de ev sahipliği yapmıştır; 1931 yılında ilk Türk Tarih Kongresi bu binada yapıldı, Görkemli konser salonunda ilk Türk Operası “Özsoy” 1934 yılında ilk kez sahneye konuldu.Bina, 1975 yılının Aralık ayında resmen Kültür Bakanlığı Güzel Sanatlar Genel Müdürlüğü’ne resim ve heykel müzesi olarak kullanılmak üzere tahsis edilir. O yıllarda hayatta olan binanın mimarı Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu’nun nezaretinde Mimar Abdurrahman Hancı’nın projesiyle aslına ve yeni amacına uygun bir şekilde restore edilmeye başlanır; 2 Nisan 1980 tarihinde de törenle müze olarak hizmete açılır. Müze, Asya-Avrupa Sanat Bienali, ulusal-uluslararası sergi organizasyonları, çeşitli sempozyumlar, toplantılar, konferanslar ve konserler gibi etkinliklerle Ankaranın kültür ve sanat ortamına yeni bir renk ve hareketlilik getirir.Benim 2. Gelişim, ilkinde yalnız gelmiştim, bunda arkadaşımla geldik. Müze Kart ile giriş yapılabiliyor. İçeriye girerken çantaları emanet dolabına bırakıp anahtarını yanınıza alıyorsunuz. İçerisinde WC mevcut, hemen alt tarafında Müzenin Kahvesi var su ve diğer ihtiyaçlar için kullanılabilir. Yaz sezonu boyunca 18.00da kapanıyor ancak giriş gişeleri 17.45den sonra ziyaretçi alamıyor. ❤️

Müzeye girer girmez Türk Ocağı odası ile sizi karşılıyor. Zaten burası önceden Türk Ocağı imiş sonrasında müzeye çevrilmiş. Tarihi bir bina. Türk işçileri tarafından özenle yapılmış. Resim ve heykel ilgisi olanlar saatlerce içinden çıkamaz. Birbirinden kıymetli eserler mevcut. Muze kart ile girdik. Personel ilgili. İçeri girerken rahat gezmek için eşya emanet dolapları var. Ayrıca burasının muzekestirilmesi ile ilgili yasa taslak hazırlık vesaire sunulan bir oda bile var. Eserler çok sayıda güvenlik görevlisince koruma ve gözetim altında. Çocuklu giderseniz yanınızdan ayırmayın lütfen. Herkesin görmesi gereken bir yer. Kendinizi Türk resim ve heykel sanat tarihi derinliklerinde görmek istiyorsanız en az 2-3 saatlik bir tur ile burayı gezerek yapabilirsiniz..

You will see paintings and sculptures of turkish painters. Dont expect too much to see but you wont be sorry that you visited.

Government meuseum. So tourists can buy a ticket for 900 turkiah euros which is valid for one year and can visit all the turkish government meuseums.

I absolutely loved the paintings and sculptures exhibited. Some of them were clearly world-class masterpieces. However, there was absolutely no information in English at all, and while I do know some basic Turkish, enough to understand what balıkçilar means, it would have been nice to be able to read the longer explanations provided in print - sadly all of these were only in Turkish. This museum has a lot of potential and Im sure it could have many more visitors if the information were more easily available (including some bibliographical info about the artists).

There was a problem with the correct lighting of some of the paintings

This place taught me a lot about Turkish culture and the way of thinking. Im happy Ive visited the museum; some of the pictures and sculptures from here will be remembered for a very long time. Drop by for a visit; trust me, thisll be some well-spent time!

It was a beautiful museum

The main art museum in Ankara and one of the most public museums in Turkey.

Went for an operatic production. Wonderful building.

You have to pay a visit even if you are not into art. Turkey is not only about sultans and Islam or soap operas (for some europeans). A relaxing stop. 20TL the entrance fee for an adult.

The museum has mostly paintings. Some sculptures are interesting though.

Its worth the price believe me. You will see and get to know turkish painters and their amazing work. Even if you have no clue about art, it will amaze you.

Nothing much there... Just it isnt that interesting.

Loved the different rocks. The dinosaur fossils were huge. Unfortunately I couldnt see the fishies. You can find some of the best photos I took there down below.

A nice collection of artwork, though small, housed in a beautiful location complete with a small garden and outdoor cafe. There are no English translations of anything in the museum, so beware of that. Also, there is no restriction on photography, which is a major disappointment for me. Visitors who value selfies more than the artwork itself abound and are rude enough to to interrupt your viewing time with their own shallow agenda.

Good place for art lovers and painting lovers. There is an entering ticket which is 20 for every person. The building and paintings are very nice but the number of paintings is not many. This place takes maximum 2 hours to visit All paintings. There is a cafe also in the yard to rest and have a drink.

The most significant art museum in Ankara. It has a great collection of work of major Turkish painters in a beautiful and historical building. The sculpture part is relatively smaller but has still beautiful pieces.It would have been great to have more info on artists and their work in each section to put the artwork into a context.The museum needs a dedicated bookstore and shop where one can access related books and materials. The museum’s exhibition’s book is sold out. Please reprint it both in Turkish and English. It has a great value.

The history of the building is as interesting as what it contains.

I was glad to see paintings from Turkish painters. Pleasant discovery like Fikret Mualla, Eren and Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu...

Absolute must see. From İbrahim Çallı to Zonaro to Osman Hamdi and Bedri Rahmi, you can see tons of paintings

It is a bit of a compact museum with lots of stunning pieces of art. My favorites have been the sculptures of Hakkı Karayiğitoğlu.

Very old building with beautiful paintings inside stretching from the Ottoman Empire to modern Turkey. The paintings are well preserved and well displayed. The galleries are spacious and calm. The sculptures are also breathtaking but few. Staff are also very nice. Highly recommend while in the Ulus area.

Very beautiful museum. Building is very old and characteristic. There are not so many paintings but the area has a great garden with sculptures and ankara view wonderful.
