Offering a buffet at lunch, this casual halal restaurant serves traditional South Indian dishes.
I have ordered Briyani, fish meal and Mutton chukka.Briyani was decent, mutton gravy was good but pieces were hard and cheqy, fish curry smelled like cooked with rotten or really old fish. After we tried a spoon of curry we asked the server if it’s possible to change to different but chef told her they can’t do it.Service was great.Another disappointing Indian restaurantAvoid fish curry at all cost
Very good, tasty and spicy South Indian (especially Chettinadu Tamildishes, served in a cordinal way. Good for hosting parties. They have a separate party place to enjoy. Buffet facility available for parties. They also have weekend breakfast vegetarian buffet, which very delicious, includes dosa, uppma, dosa, vada etc.
Employee treatment is terrible. Only for the duration of training do they hire staff. It will be a six-day shift, and they are unwilling to provide wages during the training period as well. There is one unpleasant supervisor there by the name of Hari, and he gives tips to the staff members according to their preferences rather than on an equal basis. Without giving a reason, they will terminate staff after training
We are frequent customers to Anjappar in Scarborough. Today we ordered kadai paneer and andhra style chicken wings. Both the paneer and chicken appeared to be hard and rubbery. They were not fresh, in fact the paneer tasted like tofu. When we called they said they will check with the kitchen that’s it. We are worried about the deterioratbig quality once we start frequenting restaurants for their tasty and quality food.
Best place for Thoza, rice and vegetable curries. Always dine in and never take out as they serve everything warm by the time you take it home it will be spoilt. Plenty of parking, lots of seating available, they have very limited staff and a bigger seating arrangement. Prices are fair.
We went early for lunch before the weekend lunch crowd. From the mutton soup, to chettinad chicken and pineapple kesari, the dishes were good. The days special crab dish was great as well. Worth a return trip.
This is one of my favourite go to place for dinner with family. Authentic chettinad food. Always food is served fresh, and their service is really good. The manager is really friendly. Their chicken lollipop is a must try. Highly recommend this place for South Indian food 👍🏻
Have been to the other spots of this restaurant and knew the food would be good. They did not disappoint. Amazing South Indian food. We only tried the vegetarian options here but the chicken items are also worth it. I highly recommend the kothu paratha and the parotta.
After a bad experience in 2018, we tried this again in this month. I was surprised and happy about the quality. So went again on This Sunday. To my disappointment, they missed order notes, had to wait extra long (really longfor a additional sambar and chutney for dosa. Also noticed that the paper towel dispenser near the sink is not working properly. Taste was not exciting too this time.Maybe the quality is not consistent. The best attraction would be the parking. They have ample parking for sure. and the neighborhood is very quiet.
Loved when we were in Toronto and I would go again and again when we come back. Delicious south Indian food and lot of varieties in buffet. Nice customer service as well. Must visit if you like south indian food.
This is my go to go restaurant every-time I crave for restaurant food !! Place is very calm and peace, friendly staff, most of the time food is served quickly but during weekends some time have to wait long !!But it will be great if the biriyani quantity is increased !!😅
The Dosa was good and delicious but We ordered for Paneer Butter Masala later. It was like garbage. Just a warning do not order this at their place. Again Dosa’s were amazing.
The weekend Buffets are good!! Love the vada they prep for the buffet!! I used to be a great fan of the chicken fried rice here!! But no more !!To add to this, the quality of food off late has improved a lot. Vada was crisp outside and super soft inside. Must try Vada at this place. 5 stars to the Manager Vijay. He has been a warm welcoming person all the time.
Food is just great here! Must try chef special fried rice, mutton bone soup, chicken 65, biriyanis, chilli prawn. One of the best places to munch and fulfil your crave of having Indian cuisine specifically South Indian. Staff is friendly as well and they listen to your needs! They have a buffet as well until noon which is again drooling 🤤
Loved the experience here. The flavors and spices hit the spot. Definitely a go- to spot for chettinad food. The staff was very accommodative.Portion size is good.Tried the ghee dosa, parotta, chettinad curry, Thali, lemonade, medu vada.. everything was amazing.Only the kothu paratha was average. The Mysore masala does not have the red spicy chutney, its like a regular masala Dosa ( unless they got us a wrong order)
Went there with a party of 8. Loved the way people were so accommodating of our every special request. We also went to compliment the chef. Food was fresh and tasty. Loved the experience. Will definitely visit again :)
Amazing south Indian food.. Best items are Parotta, Chicken chettinad, Chicken kith parrot and mutton pepper fry… I even love chicken fried rice and chicken 65. Very indianised. 5 star for the Rose milk. Little expensive but quality is good. Ample place to sit, don’t expect quick service as its crowded. but good customer service. I got the meals on a different day, its okaish. Quantity is good but taste is okay.
Their service is really very very slow. Most of the tomes food is cold because they serve full order together. When I asked them to please bring the hot food, they kept the earlier one for 5 mint in kitchen and served the same one to us.Earlier the boy who used to take orders was really very good but the new boy is very rude and angry man.Would not recommend this place to anyone
Wanted to give negative stars..My friends and I heard about this restaurant and wanted to try it out since we really like south Asian food.We ordered the gravy dishes and ALL of them were super salty. We couldnt eat more than 2 bites without finishing off a whole jug of water. We also developed headaches from the blood pressure shooting up from all that salt.We politely told the server that we couldnt eat these dishes and could we have replacements. He called the manager over who insisted quite rudely that other patrons had ordered the same dishes and they were fine with it. He left it at that and went away.We gave it a second try to see if we could have more of the food, but we couldnt. We told the server that we were only going to pay for the drinks since the food was inedible but he still brought the full bill.We refused to pay it and asked him to bring the manager back.Instead of apologizing for in terrible food, he called us mannerless and said we were doing this on purpose. He then said he wont charge us and said to not come back.. like we were even going to go back after we were treated.
Amazing food. Its always fresh and ready. The place has remained the same since my first visit 10years back and the taste and experience remains the same despite the overwhelming crowd. Definitely try there Spl Fish Fry if you love sea food. Its so fresh and it had amazing taste. Its been such a long time since we tasted such an amazing fish.
Im sure your restaurant is lovely, however I have never been in your establishment despite what Google states. I cannot rate a place Ive never been in. Its a 1 star rating because, again Ive not been to this restaurant and Google will not allow me to not rate it. I would prefer to not rate it at all as I did not go to this restaurant and cannot form an opinion. This is not a fake review, its very real.
It was a good place and ambience to dine in.Loved the ambience as for a while I forgot I was not in India. The food was great but felt like it was a bit over priced. The service was very decent too.
The food never disappoints! Portions look small but theyre very filling. The prices are moderate for the dishes. There fried fish is the best!
Waited for a little long for the food to arrive, but it’s worth it. Taste of the food is nice.
Weekend breakfast brunch is something you must try. This gives an opportunity to taste all the breakfast items. Especially dosa will be brought to your table when its hot. We like tiffin items are very tasty here. They have most of south Indian tiffin and snack items.Biryani is not very spicy, tastes good. Not lot of wait times, no reservations, first come first serve.
Out and out Tamilnadu style...Quantity is less...prices are high
Convenient location. Interiors are simple nothing fancy. Staff friendly and prompt. Authentic South Indian food taste.Clean washroom. Best thing is separate basin to just wash hands.Check for spice level when you order :)
The food quality has reduced drastically. Maybe shortage of cooks . Veg thali was priced 16. 99 literally a dry chapati, rice , one veg, 1 sambar ,1 karakolumbu , rasam curd and papa. Any tamil takeout you could get a much better meal .Biryani was not a pot biryani 20.99. They mixed With some gravy. If you wish to hate biryani its definately a try very bad, amateur home cook would do a better jobAppetizers Gobi 65 and chicken lollipop was good .Mango Lassi, yoghurt wit little mango syrup .Spend 110 bucks not even 50$ worth . Stay away .
Amazing customer service and very proactive staff. Food was amazing and not too expensive considering the portions. Highly recommend this restaurant and Vijay was so charming
Authentic South Indian restaurant . The service is good and the food is delicious. We ordered crab masala and I wanted to lick till the last drop of gravy. The only disappointment is that the food portion doesnt justify the price. Unlike other indian restaurants, whatever one orders is only enough for one may be two people
Location is nice, looks good from outside but interior is poor. We order their famous Chicken 65, taste was good but portions was very very less. 6 cubes of chicken around $13. Also their masala dosa that we ordered was very poor in quality. The potato mix was very runny and without any flavours. Staff was good. Considering the inflation and value of money these days, l would suggest to avoid this restaurant and eat something worth your money somewhere else.
Looking for authentic south indian non-veg dish, one must visit this place!! Everything thing starting from ambience, customer service or food everything is amazing. Must try out their chilli fish and mutton doo pyaza. Owner is super friendly and super helpful. Its my go to restaurant for enjoying authentic Indian food and be pocket friendly too!!Also, must try out ras malai❤️
Very delicious food served nicely in steel utensils ( bonus points for environment friendliness). Highly recommend the ghee dosa for kids. The Onion chilli uttapam is also very good.
I went there to do a decor for a proposal lunch and when there I saw excellent customer service by the manager and staff. Will be visiting them soon to have dinner and will comment about the food after that.
I recently placed an order for takeout and got Onion Uttapam and for the price of $13.55 with tax, quality and quantity of the food is not worth it for this price. It’s waste of money Would not go to this place again.
Ir was a first time visit to the restaurant. Ordered Butter Pepper Masala Dosa ! With sweet lemonade. Turned out to be a astonishingly huge. With the price range where you get dosa for single person at other restaurants, turns out to be enough for 2 people here. Must try once
Amazing food and service! We asked the server to let us know what are the most popular dishes and he went on to place the whole order on our behalf. We were blown away by how good all the food was and the portions were just right. Totally recomm Nd the chilli chicken and chicken 65. The food was a bit spicy but definitely authentic and full of the Chettinad flavors.
Food quality and taste is good especially Mutton Chukka appetizer is awesome. Mutton lovers will definitely love it.Biryani quantity is less, more pieces and less rice.
Consider this review being a pakka Andhra Spicy Food lover ... Ordered Andhra style chicken wings and veg meals .. Chicken was crispy but not that much spicy as everyone in reviews described but it tastes okay... Coming to veg meal they given 7 veg curries rasam, aalo, sambar, masala curry, cabbage, carrot beans fry, pickle and curd with a sweet ... Ending with a filter cofee.. not a wow experience but okay for once.BUT AT LAST ORDERED A NORMAL PAROTHA FELT AWESOME...ITS A MUST TRY
As the other location in Brampton the food was good. As usual the high price for South Indian food. Service need to improve as we experienced few mistakes from the staff. But overall good experience.
Went in for a late night dinner and found that they were serving non veg meals. Having a large appetite that night, we decided to try it out along with Crab soup and some chicken 65. The crab soup was hot and tasty. The chicken 65 was a smaller amount but made well. The non veg meals all about 6 to 7 kattoris and served with a bowl of rice and chapatti. We were pleasantly surprised at how fresh and tasty it was for a meal at 10pm. If you are a hungry bachelor, go for the meal Thali. It will surely bring your hunger and anger down, haha! The restaurant closed at 11pm and yet they were kind enough to let us spend more time there. Friend staff and quick service. My only negative comment was that the dishes were coming out of order (got chicken 65 before soupand unevenly - so if you are a large group, some people may get their order first while it may take time for others. But hey, thats just a very specific gripe and its okay to wait a little after all the dishes are budget and saves you a buck! Must try Indian restaurant and a definite recommendation!
It was a wonderful experience. Very authentic south Indian food is available here. I have tasted mutton briyani, crab soup, Pawan pepper fry, egg kothu paratha and ghee roast(footlong😂).Reasonable price. But have to travel all the way from downtown 😕. But the food was worth the travel. Sooo good.
