Animagic Museum of Animation in Hancock
Description
not open when it says it is...
Great place to check out. There are lots of fun things to look at.
Eugene and Russel were great giving the tour. It was a lot of fun and educational. The hands on video that we made was wonderful. This is something different. I would highly recommend for all ages.
MoreEugene gave us the tour on a Sunday morning. The museum is carefully and thoughtfully assembled, and his demos are great! He was a thorough and funny guide, with a good sense of humor. My boyfriend and I made a little stop motion animation directed by Eugene and are excited to share it on Instagram. It’s definitely worth the hour and change to spend the time with them and see how they do their craft.
MoreGreat experience! For adults and kids, dont miss it!
Very interesting!
Went with the kids and had a magical time.It was so awesome the kids loved it and want to go back already. View our video we made there.
MoreGreat to see

MoreWe visited Animagic this summer and absolutely fell in love with this small cozy museum and its runners Eugene and Irina. Eugene is an Oscar Academy Award winner in special effects and a true enthusiast of animation. He is going to be your main guide around the museum. Irina is also and artist who worked on number of cartoons and currently working as costume designer for a theater. The first room of the museum is a gallery of Irina’s paintings. This a small charming country museum and it is very different from museums run by large enterprises in big cities. The admission is free but you can donate if you’d like. They also have an animation workshop that would cost you 20$. I strongly suggest everyone who has children to take it for their kids. Ours were happy beyond words including an 18-year-old. It is not easy to please a teenager ))).
MoreMeh.
Im always interested in visiting new places, meeting people, and learning. So, I was not disappointed in our visit to Animagic. Irina gave us the tour. Shes very artistic and examples of her work are interesting. She assisted her husband Eugene, an award-winning animator, as we created our stop animation movies. Another younger couple and my husband also made a movie. He sent us a link so we can share with friends and family. Great for kids and adults who enjoy something new and different. The games for sale are great for kids because they are based on scientific principles.
MoreNice but small one-room museum. Geared toward younger kids.
Nice experience for children
We had a great time. This place is deceiving from the outside. It may be small, but you learn a lot and the kids get to make their own movie.
MoreReally cool demonstrations, great historic information, not expensive to make your own film too!
MoreFantastic place to take kids! Rare opportunity to learn hands on from a master of special effects. Not only is Mr. mamut a master he has won a academy award for special effects and was a pioneer in CGI. Dont pass on this great learning experience and fun time. Its only open by appointment, so you call to set up time.
