Road 60, Sangkat Slor Kram, Siem Reap City, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, Siemreab
Art museum known for its scale models of local historic sites, plus panoramic paintings & films.
very beutiful please that I have never gone befor
Very educational but at a sorta rushed pace. I recommend it.
Great place. Worth it
Thats a sort of a must for beforw the temples. Includes a free video as well as a free guide!!! Our guide was amazing!
What an incredible display, almost three dimensional, telling history of area and building of temples, incorporates a movie theatre, very interesting, whole complex built and initially funded by North Korea, Duh!, well worth the visit when you are in Siem Reap, just beside ticket box
Good viewing especially 3D pictures, some statues and much more things that are really good about Khmer history.
Was a surprise, amazed to see the painting, its a breathtaking experience, must visit to see the panorama painting! The painting was completed in two years and it has faces of 45000 people.
This is a must go to place if in Siem Reap and plan on visiting the temples. It explains all about them, and the 3D central mural is incredible.
It is a good starting point to know about the Angkor wat. I personally advice to the visitors who would like to visit world famous Angkor wat must visit this Angkor Panorama Museum.
A bit pricy and odd that you pay for tickets in town. Their 3D/painted panorama is truly spectacular- very well done. Is a shame they restrict photography.
The guides here.are very experienced and gave lots of insightful explanations on the history of the Angkor Wat area. The panorama was especially breathtaking, worth it for price of admission alone.
visit before you nove to temple to have sone basic understanding about khemer and angkor wat history
The place is good but costly ... the one panaromic view is worth it... it gives an appearance of how it is in its glorious times
secret pictures on the top
Great Museum if you want to learn a lot of the history of Cambodia quickly. They dont let you take photographs inside. A must see.
Went in the free roam area. Didnt go in for the Exhibition as I was charged $20 USD to get in because Im not a local. U can find the miniature temple and lots of beautiful painting in the roam area.
The panoramic painting looks so real with different sound effect for various era of Angkor time.
tour buses stop here. interesting perspective on the entire area. worth a short visit if you are there.
Not quite interesting with a small domed shape room. Would be better if you just read a book with animation. But if you insist on going, request for a free tour guide.
Ticket price 20USD/person.Museum itself very small. All about Angkor Wat. If you have been to Angkor Wat, this is like Angkor Wat museum in paintings. The panoramic painting was good. Done by the Koreans tho. I was thinking its by the locals. They sell other paintings. Also by the Koreans instead of by the locals.I just think they should feature local artist instead.Overall, not worth the 20USD. If it was done by he locals I would gladly pay the 20usd but since its done not by the locals I feel like it has been commercialized.
Been here its small and not worth the 20USD per person ticket price....all art is done by outsiders and not the locals...
Ticket price is too much and not much to see other than the panoramic views, so please dont waste your money and time
Great story and very detailed history panarama. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly with great English.Nearly recommend going to see before heading out to the temples
The first time here. Nice to see.
Friends worth seeing place, dt miss it if u miss it means u missed the beautiful n amazing part of the tour $20 per person ticket is nothing for entry ,I recommend to all its once in life time experience .
if you want to see how angkor era look like. definitely a great place to go. impressive indeed
Fascinating North Korean 24 million USD building by the ticket center, the panorama makes it, the movie is so so....its a contradictory communist celebration of feudal slavery in the name of what Marx dubbed "the opium of the masses"
Good place for seeing 3D picture of historical and history of Angkor Wat!
The panorama photo is absolutely awesome and beautiful in 360 degree.
The place that could bring you back to Angkor Era
Recommended place before you start your journey in history of Khmer.
The panorama drawing done is simply amazing and life-like. It explains how the Angkor Way came about. Must see.
Awesome place! There you can learn the 3 phases of historical Khmer Empire! Highly recommended!
Best modern museum to explore the history of Angkor city as well as some invasion wars from neighboring states. The price is acceptable and the museum is solely equipped with air conditioners.
If you visit siem reap, cambodia. you have to go there. You can feel great of Khmer people
At 20 dollars per person, this was a bit pricey for the hour and a half it took to go round. However, that includes a private guide who speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable about Cambodian history. The scale models are great. Kids under 10 are likely to find it boring. The panoramic painting is quite incredible and its a shame photography isnt allowed of this. The 20 minute film at the end helps to give an insight into temple construction.
Best museum ever. And the staffs mostly are professional and friendly.
Great history and certainly the place to go before you visit the temples in real life.
20USD... no video or picture of the panoramic room...Great mini model of the temples! Great explanation! I got one guide only for me! Great feeling on the panoramic room...Video very interesting... made me feel how all the temples were built...Good way to start...
One of the best 3D art museum in Asia perhaps.
Where to take tourists before visiting Angkor Wat
Such a deep experience with panorama view of ancient life and models of the temples. Movie could be better, but also not bad.
Built for foreign tourists at an astonishing rate of 20 dollars per person. At this rate Angorwat complex should charge at least thousand dollars per day.
Went there because of the reviews. The entrance fee is a steep 20$ which we didnt pay. There is a tourist info gallery, a panorama painting of the Angkor era and an animated film about construction of Angkor which seems to be too little for the price. The tourist information gallery which you can see for free basically lists all the temple complexes of Cambodia with a picture or two each, which is useful. It also houses a toy model of Angkor and all the nearby temple complexes.
For any one who visits Angkor, the "Angkor Panorama Museum" is a most, the colossal "Panorama" painting is phenomenal beyond words, a true artistic mega master piece. The museums theater is first rate in technology, comfort, aesthetics, and design which shows a spectacular animated movie on the building of Angkor Wat, it blew my mind. After my visit to the "Angkor Panorama Museum" it left me with an astonishing vivid impression of the Great Ancient Empire of Angkor.
Seems this place become ticket office for Angkor Pass already.$20 for 1 Day Pass$40 for 3 Days PassEntrance is from Early Morning to 5:30 pm in the evening
This not worth for 20 USD each.
Absolutely Amazing Museum, they did a fantastic job. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are going to visit the temples come here first! It will give you insightful information on how to tour the temples and also very important history information about the temples and Khmer culture!
U should go and check out. Cant express with words. Amazing. 100% Worth seeing.
North Korean run museum. it has real life panorama oil painting of 120 meter long. The painting depict life in Angkorean era. It also has a cinema playing animation video of history of Angkorean era. Recommended for short visit before visiting temples.
