Angelina's Mexican Restaurant - Mexican restaurant in Coos Bay, United States
Friendly and fast service, very reasonable prices, great quality. Had the grilled fish tacos that were overflowing with fresh, flavorful fish. Well return again!
Darn good food for a great price
If I could I would live off their ground beef street tacos.
Good food, friendly personal, fast service, convenient location on 101
Chorizo breakfast burrito is a great value and of exemplary quality. Love the crispy hash browns inside. Thank you!!!
Huge tasty burritos and authentic Mexican foodDont miss out get you some too
I like this place, my gf always eats from here. The only thing I dont like is the dirty looks the employees give me when Im just trying to buy my gf a burrito. Also the burrito use to be eight dollars now its thirteen. Overall good food, good place. Go here if your gf likes big burritos.
Delicious food, great service! Mister had the carne asada burrito and i had the carne asada torta (pictured)
Wonderful authentic food. Fast service and preparation. Good pricing.
Enormous burrito! Super nice lady running the counter. Carnitas was good, big pieces of meat, no dry tiny pieces here. Shredded cabbage and tomato were a good texture and flavor combo. Red and green salsa were standard. But again the burrito was huge and good! Id stop again.
My family and I really enjoy Angelinas. The atmosphere is definitely different then other restaurants but in a good way! The family that run the resturant are always very nice! I love Angelinas California burrito!! If you like burritos and French fries then you gotta try it because that burrito is so fire!!!🌯🔥 My family likes the fish tacos the best but I stand by that burrito!! Prices are fair. The only thing Id parking sometimes gets backed up.
Hmm. We love it. Great service, great food!
We go there specifically for the carne asada tacos and then discovered they have delicious beans as well. Give them a try!
I love this place! I must have eaten here a hundred times or more. Ive never had a bad meal out of here. Fast service....usually about 10 minutes and Im eating. Definitely worth stopping in.
Stopped by 5/21 & first the order took almost 20 min. I ordered 5 of the breakfast veggie burritos for my kids & self. Once down the road we began to eat them & noticed they were full of hash browns with very little egg in them. What made it even worse was that the hash browns were burnt & very greasy. For $40 w tip I feel it should of been a much better meal. I nor my children attempted more than 2 bites.I wish I could share a pic of how nasty the burrito looked & how hard and overcooked were the burnt hash browns.
Mini street taco are amazing! We called in a fairly large order and it was ready in 20 minutes.
So good, The Tacos are the so good! Doesnt look good from the out side but its a very good place to eat! Please everyone try it!!!
Good food but they need to stay open to where people dont have to rush to get food after work. Its kinda weird to close a restaurant at prime time dinner hours.
The best fish tacos on the west coast of The United States of America. Well thats my opinion any how I suggest a person try them first before disputing this well known fact.
Ordered two burritos oh my goodness theyre huge, and tasted so good. Will definitely go here again.
We loved Angelinas! I got the chili relleno burrito and loved it! The food is reasonably priced, especially considering that the portions are HUGE! The service was fast and they had outdoor seating. Would go again!
GREAT burritos! (And huge; note size of burrito in relation to 11" dinner plate. Their fillings are at least as tasty as any Ive had; the carnitas and chili Verde are perfect, and the carne asada and al pastor are also delicious. Once this Covid nonsense is over, I plan to sit down and enjoy some of their platillos.
So we dont want to slam this restaurant, but here are a few reasons we wont be back.. First, chips were dry/old} salsa was from Walmart. Steak had a lot of gristle in every bite. Ambiance {music} was from the 90s, not true Hispanic. Kind of weird. One waitress. No OLCC license.!! Not terrible, but we wont go back. Just saying..
Extremely tasty, inexpensive, and authentic Mexican food (and you can ask for habañero aka *actually* spicy salsa here, a rarity in Oregon). Husband got a burrito, I got a torta, and they both were absolutely massive. Husband can usually put away a shocking amount of food in one meal and even he was struggling to finish. Next time Ill ask them to toast the bread a little more just so it can stand up to all the fillings and the juiciness of the carnitas! Further proof that the little hole-in-the-wall restaurants are the ones worth checking out. Definitely recommended.
Fantastic food! However, the inside feels a bit gross and 98% of the time they screw up your order..Still, even with the screw ups, best burritos in town.
First time there and last time Ill go there...I ordered the san diego burrito I asked what was on it, she said meat, pico, guacamole and I added cheese. I get home the burrito is 100% cold, like it was never warm the meat had cold grease on it and it had lettuce. (which I absolutely hate on a burrito One menu said it was 6 bucks, the other said 7 bucks I questioned the lady and she said oh they just havent changed that price yet mind you, the 6 dollar price was sitting on the counter..right in front of the register. Also ordered chips and salsa, the chip were homemade and they were good but the salsa was horrible.
Good food! Really good salsa and hot sauce. One thing. I ordered the deep fried burrito for $3.00 extra. (yes $3!Wouldnt you expect it to be crispy? It wasnt, cheese not even melted. She spoke to cook in Spanish thinking I dont know Spanish. Lmao. He forgot to deep fry it. I didnt say anything. Lol
Carne asada fries were recommended - were great and large enough for two. Menu is sparse without posted prices, inside is cramped so take out might be better or sit outside, customer service was great! Only negative is that street tacos are $3.00 each which is confusing.. typically they are $1.50 at most. Yikes! Ill try it again and probably go with a burrito.
very good... authentic mexican food... we especially enjoy the pollo a la crema... soon good! and they give such a heaping plate full, there is always plenty for later... my go to for good Mexican food in Oregon!
Amazing carne asada fries
Very surprised by the tacos here! Hubby and I tried 4 different tacos. Pastor, Fish, Adobada, Carnitas. Yummo! Fish and Adobada were our favs. Great prices for the feast they provide.
They have great weakly deals that fill you up without too much trouble. Atmosphere no doubt needed work a long time ago(gas station Mexican food?), but despite the appearance they cook and serve great food when you order!
No complaints on food or establishment, however, beware the website shows a online ordering option. It is a Scam!!!It takes you to another site called order hero! It looks legit till you go to pickup the order!!! This restaurant only does walk-in or phone to go orders!!!! I’m not stuck with waiting on a fraud claim and a new card in the mail which leaves me waiting 7-10 business days!Granted not the restaurants fault but they couldn’t do anything for the issue so be warned! If you ever see order hero on a site don’t use it!!!
LOVE this little spot! Tried the tacos this time - generous portions and very tasty.
Very good. I have no complai s, they asked SEVERAL times if my girl friend and I were ok and needed anything. Nothing was missed and food was great. Good job Angelina, you pick a superb team and run it well. TY!
The food was better under the previous management but its still pretty good. Feels somewhat pricey to me sometimes for what you get and I miss the little extras like pickled carrots and the salsa options. Still worth visiting from time to time, if you have the time to wait
Would be 4 stars if the service with the newest girl wasnt so awkward and neglectful/confusing. Only place in town you can get lengua tacos. Theyre pretty good. Nothing like in the city but very decent for the area. Id give this a 3.5 if I could.
Hearty food for a reasonable price. The food and service really do earn 5 stars, but the building they are in is awful. The parking is tight, the building and patio roofs meet by the entrance and water comes down in streams as you go through the door. Inside the booths are too worn down for customers. If this was your home furniture, youd have to toss it.
First time there... Tried the fish taco.. Amazingly not fishy and yummy... Very authentic... Like fo real authentic... Im from Los Angeles and Ive found a great place to eat a taco that tastes great like the taco trucks back home... Thank you Esmeralda Perez
Easy to eat there or take your food to go. I absolutely loved this place. Im from southern California, and this place reminds me distinctly of a southern California taco shop. I highly recommend the Mexicana breakfast burrito.
Where do I start?!?!?!Amazing food. Growing up in SoCal I had some solid Mexican food. This place reminds me of the places Id go back home. Really great food. The service is always solid. We called for a work lunch 20+ tacos, chips, salsa and Guac. And man did they hook us up, even ready in about 15 mins.Go here, you may not thank me... but youll be glad you ate here.
I have been there 3 times before. Let me clarify that...the parking lot was always full, so this is my first meal there. I ordered a Chili rellano burrito. The service was good, and in no time , my order was ready. The burrito was huge and so delicious . I recommend Angelinas to anyone that likes good Mexican food. This is my new favorite place.
I love this Mexican restaurant. Very welcoming! They have authentic dishes but also offer Americanized dishes. Today I went in and saw shrimp on the special board as a different dish. And requested a shrimp burrito. Which Ive always wanted to try here but not on menu. They were happy to make. I was happy to wait because not a normal menu item. This food is really chingona.
If I had a choice I wouldnt even give this place 1 star. The food was horrible and the service was worse. It was really all around the worst dining experience Ive ever experienced in Coos Bay. Like really, $1.50 for a can soda?! Even the county fair is cheaper than that. If you want real authentic mexican food I recommend that you go to Margaritas or El Guadalajara. Their food is not only better but the service is amazing and honestly they have better specials!!!
Doesnt look too fancy but the food is authentic and excellent. The owner takes great pride in his cooking. Cant say enough good things. How many restaurants do you know of where the owner gives your wife a big hug and you dont mind?
Very homely and great customer service. Was waiting for a to go order, they brought us complementary hot & fresh chips, salsa and beans with cheese. Awesome food for a cold and wet day on the coast.
Fantastic Mexican restaurant! Great food at a descent price. They have a wide variety of items and you can customize your dish to any level of "heat". Very friendly atmosphere. Its not a fancy place, but one of those terrific "hole in the wall" places that has great food and a great price!
I have eaten most of the items from the menu, with the exception of fish which I do not like, and have not only never been disappointed, but everything has always been exceptionally delicious. Alejandro and family are always nice folks to visit with, as are Abraham and Freddy who are in the kitchen. Breakfast burrito with bacon is my favorite, and if you like fish, the fish tacos are exceptional according to all who Ive spoken with who have tried them.Order whatever sounds good to you and Im sure you, too, will really enjoy your meal.Under the new owners: Ditto everything above. The new folks are carrying on the quality food and service that we all came to know and expect under Alejandros family. And you will be happy to know that Abraham is back in the kitchen! Abraham es el mejor cocinero!
Great food. Great prices. Regularly mess up orders and take quite a long time to prepare. Still going back though, when we feel patient.
buy far the best burritos, flavor and price. Had a califorina for lunch on sun afternoon came back monday morning for a chorizo. they also have a taco challange eat 30 they are free every one you eat more then 30 you earn 1 dollar each. after my son and I ate the owner offered us some fish tacos on the house just amazing.
