12 Market St, Mullaghmonaghan, Monaghan, H18 N772, Ireland, Muineachan
Frozen custard sundaes, concretes & more, plus a choice of toppings (with a drive-thru window).
At a Whiskey tasting there last night, hosted by Kevin and the Andys crew. They couldnt have done enough for the 50+ of us who were there. Many thanks guys.
We stopped into Andys on way to Donegal and were so impressed that we stopped there on the way back too. Lovely ornate, carpeted, traditional long bar with booths for privacy. Very clean, prompt but unrushed service and great food at very acceptable prices. Kevin invited us to sample his wonderful home produced award winning gin cocktails which were well worth their National Second Prize. Well be back.
Great spot for food & a great chat with Kevin. If you are a Gin fan you have to go here, world class gins on sale here
Great for a quick bite or a great night out.hmm I enjoyed my steak ,but the other 3 were tough
Really nice place.Comfortable surroundings and great food and drink.
Well what can I say about Andys it was the best ford I have had in the three days while I was in Ireland the staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble for them they made our time with them so special will definitely be going back the next time we are in Monaghan all the best for the future keep up the great work π

My girlfriend and i ordered two meals and two deserts, portion sizes are a good size, food came out promptly and was delicious. Cosy setting. Had a great alcohol free selection, which i had a gin and my girlfriend had n cider. Toilets are well kept and clean. go raibh maith agat, slΓ‘n
What a find!Terrific food, terrific service, terrific gin.A must do if you have the opportunity π
Third or fourth time here, never disappoints. Had to go for the famous chicken monaghan and that beautiful sauce. Staff so so friendly. Beautiful pint of Guinness and the owner even gave me some free tasters of their homegrown cocktails. Waitress was so nice and accomodating to my little boy who was being fussy with his food. Love coming here
Very friendly staff and good food in a nice atmosphere
Great restaurant, just came in on a chance and reading reviews and the staff and food were top class. Highly recommended!
A great little spot serving excellent food. A must for a Sunday lunch.
Very disappointed in level of service. Waited 1 hr & left without dinner. Was not charged for drink as a result but will visit in future.
Amazing food that tastes home cooked. The portion sizes are massive so bring your appetite. But what makes this restaurant stand out the most is the incredibly warm and friendly service. Such a lovely staff!
Great food Friendly staffHighly recommendedIts worth a visit if your passing through.
Highly recommend. First class friendly service. Food delicious.
Andys have a great take away service food was beautiful, very hot and well presented.Great value.i will definitely be ordering from Andys again
Left dinner to the professionals and not disappointed
The tastiest Chicken Hawaii, Sweet/ Sour I have every had.
Good service, beautiful and sophisticated interior.food was the best! Really highly recommend
Go for the burger, one of the best if not the best. Dont do the Monaghan chicken.
We went as a family βpost lockdownβ and if I do say so myself... Andyβs is back with a bang! The measures that the team have put in really give you peace of mind, while still giving some normality that we were craving! Plus the staff couldnβt be more helpful!Of course you come to Andyβs for the food.. and without a shadow of a doubt they serve the best steak in Ireland βοΈ and donβt even get me started on the ginβs, every-time I visit Kevin has a few new bottles!!Canβt wait for a trip back very soon!
Read previous reviews so chose to eat here when in the area. Was not disappointed. Food was superb and you certainly wouldnt go hungry. Warm welcome on a cold February evening both from staff and the lively fire. I would without hesitation recommend this place.
Good quality of the products and nice service (one waitress was really good-looking btw), the plates are big enough to make you full. And they know how to cook the meat in the French way (even though you wont like it if youre not French ^^).Just a bit expensive but it seems totally justified.
Excellent food, friendly staff, great service, nice atmosphere, and good drink
We had a family weekend away for our parents 50th wedding anniversary and went to Andys for dinner. The waiting staff were absolutely brilliant, friendly, caring and attentive. We all ordered starters and main courses. A few of us had dessert. We cannot fault any of the food. It was lovely and plentiful. We just ask for a selection of sides with our mains and plenty we got. My brother in law said the tenderloin steak was the nicest he ever ate. Recommend Andys without a doubt its a must
Beautiful food. Very friendly service. Really enjoyed our visit. Thoroughly recommend.
Excellent as usual when we go to Monaghan our visit isnt complete without a trip to Andys. We were there on the 12th July and walked into a packed house. A member of staff helped us through the crowd and brought us up stairs. We ordered our food and in no time it arrived. Cooked to perfection. In my opinion one of the best run family owned pub restaurants in the whole of Ireland what else can l say. See you on our next visit.
Great food, great atmosphere, super service, highly recommend.
Superb food and staff, great atmosphere. Were very well looked after. Chicken Monaghan dish was out of this world, delicious ππ
Excellent food. Service very good. Staff very attentive. Great atmosphere.
Cosy traditional restaurant, friendly staff and great atmosphere. Best steak in town, Mediterranean Duo is my favourite. Always deliver a great service.
First class in all respects I have a sweet tooth
The food and the service was brilliant. Very enjoyable experience. Thank you.
High end pub food. The prices are quite high, but its good food, cooked well.
Popped in today for a light snack. Only opens at 2.00pm. Customer service excellent . Very neat and tidy. Food great. Well worth a visit. Lots coming in just as we left.
Excellent service. Arrived in after 9pm on Friday night and it was no bother to get food. Everywhere else had stopped serving @ 9pm. Great food and friendly helpful staff! Food was excellent ππ.
Great food and value for money. I loved the gin goblets and havent seen that type anywhere else. The vegetarian stir fry was excellent, not something you expect as the veggie option is often an afterthought in many places. Good coffee and friendly, efficient staff. All making for a good atmosphere and dining experience.
Savage food, friendly staff and the gin vodka concoction below says it all. And priced wellconsidering the quality is high π
Seemed to be a breakdown in communication here between ourselves and the staff here, couldnt quite meet my partners dietry requirements despite advertising gluten free on the menu. Definitely room for improvement. Management were nice and apologetic about the incident but staff training and communication needs looking at.
The most delicious dinner ever!!!! The fish and chips AMAZING!!!! The mushroom appetizer was delicious!! We also had a steak and burger so good the creamy peppercorn sauce was great. All the servers where so nice and helpful. The beer was from a local brewery what a great oatmeal stout. The bathrooms where so clean.
We stayed in Monaghan during the Taste of Monaghan food festival as I was booked to do cooking demos on the main stage on the Friday and Saturday. The guy who owned the place we stayed in gave us a lift into town as it was a bit of a drive from Monaghan itself. During the drive in he recommended an Indian restaurant in town called Eastern Balti which is just across the road from Andys bar. He also recommended Andys for food and drinks. My colleague doesnt get out much due to being mum to 3 young children so I didnt object when she expressed her preference to try the Indian. We arranged to meet Chef Joe Shannon of TV3 Ireland in Andys for a drink after our meal so popped across the street when we finished what was a lovely meal. The exterior didnt appeal to me at all, if I am honest, I wouldnt have chosen to go here if it hadnt been recommended to me.The interior is nice, lots of dark wood and wine leather on the seats. Everything was spotless and looked pristine. The staff were well kitted out in formal uniforms which I thought was a bit much for a bar but after discovering it is more a restaurant than a bar I understood the uniform choice and approved of such. When we arrived Joe was waiting at the bar enjoying a pint. We joined him and were quickly greeted with a warm friendly smile from a uniformed gent called Kevin which was clearly embroidered into his neat waistcoat.I was asked if I liked gin and after a very filling meal earlier it was exactly what I fancied.Kevins knowledge of gin along with his selection is excellent. I know of a few nice gins but nothing compared to Kevins knowledge. His passion for gin showed as he explained each one to me, giving a little taster of any I showed an interest in.Our evening was really enjoyable due to the lovely company and made all the better because of how much I learnt about gin from our host.Joe and I, being chefs, were given a tour of the lovely restaurant upstairs as well as the kitchen. We were also shown something which very much impressed two chefs who have been in the game a long time. These guys actually dry age months worth of beef themselves in a cold room designated specifically for the job. Each shelf was filled with bone in striploins, each of which was labeled with dates as is essential and a legal requirement. The cold room was spotless, not one speck of blood or dirt was to be seen. This was impressive for a designated meat storage coldroom.I was very surprised to find a chef working away making cheesecakes when we entered the kitchen. It was just past midnight and service had obviously finished hours earlier. Yet here was a chef, we later discovered he is Kevins brother and son of the owner, making cheesecakes for tomorrows service. Both Joe and I could clearly see he was exhausted as we have been there many times ourselves. He chatted away with us and happily gave us a tour of his well equipped kitchen. Sean, the chef, came across as someone who is very passionate about his food. I really would have loved to have eaten here and will actually take a trip to Monaghan just to do so in the not too distant future.Overall our night in Andys was thoroughly enjoyable for many reasons and one I shall look back on as being one of the best I have ever had anywhere.I very highly recommend you both dine and drink here the first chance you get.The toilets were spotless, I couldnt find fault. They smelled fresh throughout the evening and well into the night, even with an 18th birthday party going on in the restaurant.
