Andino Gastrobar - Peruvian restaurant in Malaga, Spain
Both dishes were delicious. I loved them. You need reservation to be seated outside.
Lovely little restaurant with a laid-back vibe and delicious South American dishes. As a starter, I took the tequeños venezolanos, which are pastry rolls filled with a specific cheese and guanábana (a type of fruit), paired with a refreshing dipsauce. Although basic in appearance, the taste is absolutely to die for. As a main, I had the aji de gallina, which is a type of chicken stew. Its a very heavy, but honest and traditional peruvian dish. I thoroughly enjoyed discovering these new flavours and dishes. The only downside was that the timing of waiter was awkward. We were receiving our main dishes while we hadnt even finished our starters. To be frank, I never experienced this before. It gave a sense that we had to rush our starters, as our mains were already on the table getting cold, which obviously inhibited us from enjoying the starters to the fullest. Also the time between the cocktails as aperitif and the starters arriving was very short, so we did not have the time to order second drinks, e.g. a wine, to pair with our food. Maybe this was because we arrived quite early in the evening and they wanted to have a second serving at our tables? In the end, I will rate it a five star experience as the food makes up for the little shortcomings and the restaurant is not focused on a fine dining experience, which I can understand. Recommended!
Fabulous little place. i had the beef tacos and a grand marnier margarita and it was all delicious. This is a small local restaurant on a quiet and quaint street. Relaxed vibe and in the shade as the sun was setting. Cheap eats and delicious and I will definitely be back.
Absolutely the best vegan tapas I have ever had! The staff were super friendly, all tables outside were taken but they took the effort of setting an extra table up outside for us. They managed to time the platters perfectly too! If youre in the mood for vegan (or non-vegan too of coursetapas I highly recommend Andinos!
It was so cool to spend time here! Tasty, great atmosphere, good waitresswhats more needed?)
Really friendly serviceGreat goodBig portionsDelicious cocktails
Food was delicious. Good portions too, definetly get the taco starter. the waitress was really nice and they have gluten free options
Cute outdoor eating area, delicious mango mojito, and incredible selection of Latin American dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the patacones and arepas.
Thank you for marking vegan options clearly on the menu and providing so much vegan choice! Love the concept of veganized South American cuisine. The lentil steak was massive and very filling!
Really impressive menu. One of the best south America restaurants that i have been to. I wasn’t sure what to expect being in a touristy area however the food was top quality and a good price. Highly recommend and would go back. Also very good vegetarian and vegan options. Nice cocktails.
I have no words - it’s so good. The food! The drinks! Both vegan and meat options are delicious. The mango and maracuya juice are something else 🤤😍 Highly recommend!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to!! Very kind and good staff.. Delicious meals (I took the central American platecan highly recommend!! And amazing drinks - non-alcoholic as well as alcoholic!! Went there two nights in a row, because we liked it that much.. Better make a reservation, otherwise it can be that you have to wait or have to look for another restaurant, because Andino Gastrobar is well visited..
Great spot for vegans. Lovely service and delicious food.
Exceptionally delicious Latin American food - a mixture of different recipes in one dish. Freshly made passion fruit juice - well recommended :)
Absolutely amazing food. I ate the plato centroamericano, and it is the best dish i have ever had. Thank you.My girlfriend had the ceviche peruano and it was the best. Amazing service and food. Lucky you to come upon this place
Food was just okay. Great vegan options if you are limited in food selection. I expected spectacular food based off Tripadvisors rating of #10 restaurant in Málaga....if this is truly #10 in all of Málaga then that spells doom for all of the restaurants here. But I sincerely doubt this to be #10. I usually only rate based off food quality alone, but the service here was quite bad as well, poor camamero/as. Definitely look elsewhere if youre not vegan.
Incredible so many vegan options the food is exciting freshly prepared and tasted incredible. The staff were friendly and welcoming great service and the cocktails were potent but far too easy to drink wish I lived closer!
As a vegan visiting Spain, this place is a godsend. Plenty of vegan choices of amazing food are available. Also great for the rest of the family too, the meat and fish dishes went down a treat with everyone involved. Will definitely come again!
The south american cuisine is so rich with spices and flavors and it is definitely so yummy. We tried dishes from 🇨🇱and 🇵🇪 and they were beyond expectations. Portion v prices were fair enough for me. The waitress was so helpful with the recommendations. I will come back for sure.
Rated by 5 categories. To be awarded a total of 5 points which correspond to 5 stars:* taste of the dishes: 1* service: 1* price-quality ratio: 1* the appearance of the local: 1* general expirience: 1Total: 5/5Delicious pasta, meat and quesadillas. There is nothing left but to recommend.
When we arrived there was no chicken or other meat ready yet. So we had to order the food without meat. So the tacos were really great but the enchiladas were quite blend. It was only filled with black beans and onions and supposed cheese (didnt find any). I think the food wouldve been great with a bit more spices or meat. Also it took quite a long time for the food to arrive.
Ate outside and was really nice, service was good. Drinks: the lemonade had mint that wasnt fresh and was very noticeable, otherwise it was a nice lemonade. Food: Grilled octopus was nice but can tell the rice was going stale from the taste of it. Steak meat tasted great but would suggest it medium well or well done, it was too chewy as medium or medium rare. Dessert: Coconut with mango puree was the best, liked that it wasnt dairy and the coconut was really good.
This was a nice little place, but make sure to get a reservation in advance. The food is tasty if a little overpriced in some areas. The missing star is due to the fact that the waitress didn’t bring a glass of wine that was ordered and needed reminding, but still added it to the bill and had to be asked for it to be taken off. Moreover, my friend asked for no mushrooms due to a preference and her meal still contained mushrooms when she got it. Overall however it was a nice place to eat.
Amazing food! Vegan options, fast chef and service. Tasty bottle beer that goes well with the food. Can’t wait to come back again!
30 Euros for 2 people; one dish one beer/Pepsi each), and very good!We had the ceviche peruano with fish and pulled chicken enchiladas. The ceviche was a culinary delight, and the enchiladas were hearty and filling.Service was also good!
Excellent Latin American food & beer. The waitress was also very nice for seating us when it was busy with reservations.
My sister is vegan but I’m not so this place was an amazing find. Most dishes on the menu had an option to be made vegan so it meant that she wasn’t missing out and gave her the opportunity to try new dishes that we don’t really get in the UK (e.g Plantain). Whereas I got my dishes with chicken and they were amazing as well.
One of the best dinners we had on our trip to spain. Drinks were great too and good prices.
Great food, probably the best I had in Spain until now (in a two-week long trip). At rush hour, its worth the wait if all tables are occupied.
Delicious food and great atmosphere! Here you can find a wide range of vegan/fish options.
lovely place for south american food. varied and vegan friendly menu. staff is welcoming and prices are very decent. portions are big and tasty.
The food is magnificent. We were attracted initially because it caters so well to veggies and vegans (for my partnerbut everything was amazing. We had nachos and yuca for starter and BBQ sea bream and veggie quesadillas for main. Everything was perfect including the service even though they were very busy. Make sure to book, its very popular! We reserved a table a few hours in advance and glad we did because they were turning people away while we were there.
Such a good place!!!!! Had an amazingly tasty food-experience. You can tell the chef poured much attention and love to the presentation too. The dishes were like art, true sculptures. And an explosion of taste. Another huge plus was that they offered fully decent vegan options. Didnt miss any meat or fish. And so cheap! Felt like just the best place I couldve gone to on my trip in Malaga.
Really lovely place, excellent ceviches and very tasty entrées, at reasonable prices in a very sweet spot. Really nice find!
I liked it for the experience and the ingredients, however, it is very expensive compared to other restaurants in Malaga and the pulpo, unfortunately, was very hard.
We went to the place because were both vegan and the menu showed some vegan options. And we were not disappointed!! They have to maky vegan option and it tastes just delicious! We will definitely come back, because that was vegan food heaven!
Been vegan for several years now and I must say the vegan options here are some of the best I ever had. This is my second day here in Malaga and I ate there twice. After a couple days in the mountains I will come back for the number 3. I’m a big eater so by now I tried 5 different things from the menu. All great.Highly recommendable.
Very good food and service. The waiting time was good. We ordered the Ceviche, and loved it. For mains we ordered the entrecôte (400g), and felt like it was not as much meat as we had hoped. It was too much fat for our liking. Otherwise great atmosphere and the bartender was amazing. I would definitely recommend this place. 4.5 stars if I could. ⭐️
Super yummy food and large portions. Most of the menu have vegan option, we had taco some potato type dish? And central american plater, which we shared between two and were stuffed!Defiantly one to come back to
We loved the food and the price also very good and we went there 3 times in two days especially the tacos and the fish are so delicious
Had lunch here recently. We went for Latin American food. Very polite waitress. Food was made fresh. I had the beef dish with rice(lomo saltado peruvianand my other half had the chicken dish also served with rice(central anerican plate). Food was 20minutes wait so we had cassava chips with cheese so delicious and garlicky.Generous portions. Good prices. But for me the flavours of the main meal were too subtle and mild.
Fantastic vegetarian place. And this is coming from someone who gave up trying to find commestibile and innovative vegetarian/vegan food in Spain. This one definitely tries its best to accommodate vegetarian/vegan people by offering alternative to their main dishes. The ceviche was fantastic and really spot on (according to my SO who actually had the fish one before). The main with rice, lentils steak and plantain was a bit dry but still nice.Dont be afraid to ask for salt if you think something needs it, otherwise enjoy one of the first enjoyable vegetarian restaurant I encountered in Spain!
Excellent latin fare! Very tasty and friendly service.Very good Peruvian style Ceviche.Prices are good and portions generous.Highly recommend!
Lovely place with authentic Latin food (with some twists). Lots of delicious veggie/vegan options, which is rare in Málaga. Friendly staff and affordable prices.
Although the food was good, I give 3 stars for the service. We arrived at 7:30pm and there was only one other table seated. It took the waitress 45 minutes to come and take our order. We waited so long that we really thought of leaving several times. It was not busy yet so I dont understand why it took so long.
The service was friendly and food was good. The tables are outside and one get a strange smell but then you get that all around the old town
Excellent restaurant with a stylish way serving food. Tastes superb, very good chef and humble waitress. Highly recommended.
All the food was delicious! So many flavors and not very expensive.Good service, pleasant.Just the toilet wasn’t very clean or inviting.I would definitely return for the food!
Really good latin food with a good variety. My favourite by far was the stuffed avocado. They also offer a lot of vegetarian and vegan options.
First time I eat two days in a row in the same place. Still yet to find something I dont like. Good size portions and the taste is...something else. Definitely recommend and will be back in my next trip to Malaga
