Classic Thai dishes like curries & noodles & fried rice offered in a warm, wood-paneled space.
Food is delicious but took over 40 minutes to come after ordering. While we were seated at the restaurant we saw tons of to-go orders leaving the kitchen while we were getting very hungry. The yellow curry is great but not worth the very high price. This place is best for take-out I would say, not in-house dining. At the prices they charge, they should hire more staff to accommodate in-house diners.
Most Delicious home cooked Thai food I’ve ever had - and I’m from LA and have lived in Thailand- so I’m pretty well versed in Thai food. The yellow curry - excellent! The fresh summer rolls - divine!Nothing was over sugared, excellent flavor, veggies were crisp and delicious and the noodles!!!!!
Dude. SO. GOOD. Possibly the best Thai takeout I’ve ever gotten. The lady we talked to on the phone warned us that their spicy was authentic Thai spicy, and she’s not wrong— “medium” here is what you’d get as “hot/extra hot” at an American-style Thai place. And it’s AMAZING. I ordered pad see ew (spelling?), and my husband got drunken noodles; both were loaded with crisp-tender vegetables, plenty of flavorful sauce, and silky noodles. Photos don’t do it justice at all. Wish we were local so we could come back every weekend.
This place was Delicious!!! OMG we live in Redding about an hour away and we will be back!!! Willing to make that drive I had the Panang it was a curry and Amazing!!! My fiance had the cashew and it was delicious too. Cant wait to try other things on their menu... Almost forgot about the spring roll it was the size of a small Burrito!!! Come give them a try
Service was very slow on a weekday night, food seems very authentic to me. So recommend set right expectation before entering. Be cautious on spicy level - medium is already very spicy to me and I eat spicy food quite often.
Food was only adequate. Owner was bossy and rude. I visited in June 2022.
This was my first time . I wanted to get a meal to go . MY took 15min longer that quoted. The staff was lovely and very apologetic. I ordered the red curry and the sauce was delicious. However the vegetables were mushy and the rice was overcooked as well. I will definitely try again. I am posting this Review in hopes that they will read it and undercook vegetables instead of overcook.
Squeezed us in last minute and the staff was super friendly. Delicious food, ruined getting orange chicken anywhere but here my standards are too high now.
Clean tasty dishes! We heard about this place and how well the kitchen prepares the meal with care. We drove more than a hour to try this place. We ordered so many dishes for our cravings. None of them disappointed us! In fact it was so good we are planning to come back soon.
They were overwhelmed during dinner time. We had placed a to go order and it took 2 hours to be made. They did tell us in the beginning that they are short staffed and it will take a while. Food was awesome, very flavorful and fresh. The spicy level was pretty decent and packed a punch.
Always a beautiful experience at this restaurant. Delicious food & family style service. We love bringing our friends and family to this space to enjoy dinner.
Great food, great prices! We stopped at Andaman while traveling through on I-5. We called ahead 20 minutes to put our order in, it was an easy detour from the freeway and our food was ready for us when we got there. The owner was super nice too!
The food was good but the service was horrendous. We were seated, then completely ignored for 15 min. I got up and asked the woman who seated us if we could order and she said we needed to be seated first. She had completely forgotten us and was unapologetic. They only filled out glasses a few times and when it came time for the bill we waited another 10min, had to get the same womans attention, and she forgot about us again. I had to take the bill to the back to pay.Really, really frustrating.I could see the same thing was happening to many other customers. They may have been overwhelmed and didnt have the staff but that didnt stop them seating more customers and making many many to-go orders before the seated customer were fed.Pretty awful.
It took 2 hours for them to prepare a take out order (4 itemson a Saturday night, but I was told it only takes “about 1 hour” . So I went there after one hour and my one hour was wasted. It was clearly an underestimated wait time, and what’s more is that they are very under staffed and they have no time to care about your take out order.Food was good
It was extremely busy and took a bit to get the food. So worth it everything was amazing. The dimsum seemed hand made. The soup tasty and their basil eggplant was out of this world. The curries we had just sooo good! When they warn you about spice levels believe them. Even super spicy was super tasty though. I will eat here again when Im back this way. And priced decently too.
The food especially the Pad Talay with Brown rice was so on point! The wait was long, because EVERYBODY wanted Thai food. Also it is very welcoming to see African American employees working here. GREEN BOOK 📗I love coming here.
We went to Bunny Flat and on the way back wanted some noodle/pho. So happy we stopped here. There were 4 cables already occupied and 1 table had about 8 people. There was a sign they were seating half capacity due to not enough staff members. We were seated right away and was able to order timely but the food took a really long time. We even ordered an appetizer platter and that took a while. My kids were really hungry and kept asking when the food was coming. Finally the food came and it was DELICIOUS! I ordered the medium spicy pho and WOW it was soooooooo good! Even the hot chocolate was delicious. The staff was friendly and came by many times to check if we needed anything. I think they did a great job being they were short staffed.
We are 2 for 2 for Thai food on our Winter Roadtrip! Another wonderful place with the kind of Thai food we enjoy. The staff is very friendly and in spite of being short staffed we didn’t feel the wait was long at all.I had Tom Yum soup - medium spicy - and let me tell you - my eye balls sweated. Husband had to point out: “that’s called crying.” He had Pad Woon Sen and his only wish was it had tomatoes instead of the uncooked bean sprouts. However, I benefited from his sprouts cause I added them to my soup. I tasted a bite of his noodles and two thumbs up in my opinion.
They’re always so pleasant and friendly, and the food is amazing. The pandemic and also being located in a small town is a perfect combination for being short staffed, so give them a break if your wait is a little longer than you’d like. The wait is not unreasonable. The food is well worth it.
This is literally the best place to eat in Siskiyou county if you care about very fresh food! Yes, the wait for your food can be a few, but this is all made when you order it and made fresh!!!! They dont have it sitting there ready to spoon on your plate! They dont take it out of the freezer and reheat it. Its just absolutely delicious food and consistent. 5 stars
Takes extra time, but my oh my is it worth the wait! Amazing pad Thai, great orange chicken and fantastic Tom kha soup!
Horrible service!! Never going back! Extremely under staffed always. Wait times are over 1.5 hours to receive food, and no apology or care! The owner, a Thai lady, is very rude and quite obnoxious. I went there 2 days ago for dinner and waited 2 hours for my food, which the owner was well aware of!! We didn’t complain as we didn’t want to expend negative energy and just took everything to go and left. Today, I went today just for a minute to use the washroom and was told not to use the washroom if I wasn’t ordering food!! A very greedy and money making vibe in general. Zero customer service. Time for a new Thai place in Shasta !!
Hands down this is my favorite go-to for lunch and dinner! The quality of the food is incredible, each dish bursting with flavor, large portions, and great service. Marin has done a wonderful job along with her Auntie who make all their sauces from scratch. With things being made from scratch - you should expect to have a slight wait but I can assure they are working to get it to you as swiftly as possible. Call in advance if you are restricted with your time. The best Pho Ive ever had and it pairs great with a fresh Thai Tea. It is worth each penny spent. We love Andaman!
This food is great. It’s probably the closest thing that you’re get close to bay area Thai food or LA Thai food. Good food and good service. The orange chicken is the best. The Fried rice spicy is great.
I don’t normally get orange chicken at a Thai restaurant but I’m so glad I did. seriously one of the best orange chickens I’ve ever had. would definitely go back!!
Was not at all what I was expecting for the price especially, hardly any chicken in the dish (chicken that was was chewynoodles where super mooshy and the sauce watery. We ordered late night dinner traveling though town so did not have a chance to try to correct this but after seeing the responses from the owner on other "bad" reviews it may not be worth the trouble.
Mediocre at best. 40 min wait. Most of the food was rubbery yet crunchy Im not sure how thats even accomplished. $82 later we are disappoint and hungry, never this place again! This is my first "bad" review and this place earned it!!Id like to be clear the response from the owner is irrelevant to my review as she is confusing me with another dissapointed customer. My review stands true as is and I have been refunded nothing.
Great Thai food. Take out is great. Dial down your usual spice level here! Mild is more like medium. Call in when they reopen after lunch and place your order early.
One of the best Thai food restaurants we have ever tried. Large portions, fresh food, amazing flavor, and make sure you understand their hot levels because Thai hot is equal to ghost pepper hot. So many choices and wonderful service.
This is by far the best Thai place in this town and their Orange chicken is probably one of the best orange chickens I’ve ever had! Everything on the menu is really good there, although it’s quite a process of waiting for your food to be ready, it is so definitely worth it!
Marion has added such value to our eateries with this restaurant. Authentic Thai cuisine with nearly all sauces made from scratch. Generous portions, amazing service, happy bellies and full hearts! Quality food takes time, order in advance and trust it is most certainly worth the wait! My favorite is the Pho and red curry.
Even with covid restrictions, the staff was hospitable and warm. The food was ready pretty quickly and was absolutely delectable! The dishes werent overly sweetened as with many other Thai restaurants and the spicyness was accurate based on our requests.
My husband has a hard time getting restaurants to make his meal spicy enough, but this place delivered. The food was excellent (the non-spicy food tooand seemed authentic (Ive never been to Thailand so I cant say for sure). The staff was very friendly and gave us recommendations of places to visit in the area.
I just picked a veg stir fry with fresh tofu and it was not good! Too much oil floating on the top, salty and just not good Thai food. I knew that stirfry is risky in a new place, I tried ordering fried rice but she was not willing to add fresh tofu to be added in fried rice ( which I understandbut the food was not good at all @$18.5
Good Thai food but as some others have mentioned the service is not the best. They currently have very limited seating inside due to COVID which is understandable, but what they ended up with was ten other people standing around waiting for their to go orders inside. They first gave me someone else’s bag of food, which is an especially bad move in the current environment. I returned with that food and they eventually found my order- except only 1/2 dishes was correct as I discovered when I got home...The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed when it didn’t really seem that busy. Maybe they have some new servers after COVID or something but I hope they can work out a better system since on a Monday night they were getting killed by one table and some to go orders.Anyways, long winded review to say the service was not the strong point of this place. Food was good enough that I would definitely try it again though.
I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. This recommendation is always successful. The dishes they serve are great and the team is generous and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we enjoy a splendid evening. highly recommended.
As always, fast, courteous service, food with amazing flavor, and comfortable seating. The smell when you walk in is wonderful and promises a joyful meal - the kitchen follows up on that promise and you leave happier for having stopped.Maybe Ill see you there next time I stop in.
We tried to eat at this restaurant on recommendation of a local. We sat down and received menus. We sat with the menus on the table (closedand ready to order for 20 min. In that time, we saw the staff prepare and send out at least 2 takeout orders. We also saw someone from one table to up to the staff and ask where there food is (clearly they were waiting a long time). We heard patrons complaining that the kitchen was preparing take out orders faster than the in house orders. We watched another table get up and leave. We decided to do the same. At that point, a server finally came over to our table but I had lost all faith in their service and didnt want to waste one of my only 3 nights in shasta sitting inside an outdated, frankly quite poorly kept, restaurant. The owners need to :hire more staff for the dinner rush, update the decor (get new chairs, My goodness! The seats are disgusting, dirty, and so compact you dont even notice they were once padded!), and keep the bathroom cleaner. I cant comment on the quality of the food - perhaps it is amazing, but I consider customer service to be just as important as food quality.
Best Thai in town. Owner takes great pride in authentic Thai Cuisine & completely traditional cooking.Quantity is great for price, food is great, spice is on the money and accurate.Pay no mind to negative reviews, this place takes the cake.
Fantastic place for healthy vegan food. We attended a 2 day Beyond Mindfulness meditation retreat by TrueInnerMastery and ended up catering from them every evening.
The food was good, although the service was slow. And I don’t mean it took a long time to cook it, I mean even to just take my order took a good 10-15 min. But the actual dishes were delicious and as long as you’re not in a hurry, it’s a good choice for some belly warming Thai food.
I travel continuously for work and I love trying new thai but this place was the best Ive had in years! Everything had its own bold and intense flavors, big portions perhaps relative to the price but soooo worth it! I would give them all my paychecks for them to feed me daily, but I dont live here :)amazing service, vegan family too! I wish I could rate 7 stars!
The food was amazing. We eat Thai once a week pretty much. And the food was one of the best.
This place is a real big nightmare and I wouldnt even recommend it to my enemy. The greeting when we entered the location was very nonchalant. All the tables, that did not have people sitting at them were dirty. Once seated, the order had to wait for the little Asian lady in the back to come out and their goes 15 minutes. I ordered the Seafood Combo with garlic/black pepper. I order it Mild, and I can tell you these people do not know what mild is. That monstrosity of a meal had so much black pepper in it, that it appeared as if someone took half a pepper shaker of pepper and poured the entire jar into my meal. It was not edible by anyone at my table. The Thai Ice Tea is overrated and the glass they put it in is So skinny, it is not worth $3.50, not like $1.50. Sodas are not refillable, because when you ask for a refill, they have an attitude. My companions enjoyed the fried shrimp and the spring rolls, but my entire visit was a disastrously waste of my time and especially my money, because it is overpriced. Good luck on your venture, mine was a complete fail.
We ordered pure veg (no onion no garlicfood & they served it and it taste amazing. Tasty food quick service welcoming staff.
Tasty, authentic Thai food. The cook was very accommodating to our kids needs. One warning -- their medium spicy is quite spicy by typical American standards. I loved it, will eat there again.
Weve eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent and service is fine. No complaints from two Thai food lovers! I think Americans have trouble relaxing - its not always about how quick you are waited on, its about the dining experience and I find this to be an excellent dining experience all around. highly recommended.
Fantastic Thai food. Youll pay more here, but youll get top notch delicious Thai food. The fried rice is spectacular, and the curries are spicy. Fresh ingredients and attention to detail makes this restaurant one of the best Thai places in northern California. Summertime can be busy and service can be slow, but the food is worth the wait. If youre in a hurry, come earlier and beat the rush.
Tasty food, quick service and clean. :We tried Red and Yellow curries were awesome. The Tom-Yum soup was good too. The food isnt spicy. Lots of veggies in the curry along with chicken. The people are very kind and help you deciding. I heard couple of people mention that this is the best Thai restaurant in Mt. Shasta. I wouldnt disagree. The quantity is worth the money. Some might find it on the costlier side.Closing remark: definitely worth a visit if you visiting this area. :)
Small town -- with very good Thai food! Thai is my favorite food, and this place did not disappoint! I got the red curry with chicken, and the ingredients and sauce were very tasty and flavorful. The dessert was real good too. My friend lives in this town (I was visiting him), and I can see why he considers this place his favorite restaurant in town.
