Thailand-shaped park with life-sized & scaled-down replicas of prominent buildings & monuments.
Massive museum park with stunning architecture! Make sure to set aside a whole day if you want to get the full experience. The self-drive mini-cart is the best way to get around IMO. There are also bikes for rent if you want to burn calories while exploring the park. The guided tours are great but only stop at a few locations. Overall, one of the best experiences in Bangkok for architecture and history buffs. As a bonus, You will also get to see some local wildlife around the park.
A well managed site, lots of greenery which makes you feel quite peaceful. Also, they let you rent a bicycle (included in the ticket cost), motorbike or golf cart (at additional cost which is quite reasonable.I would highly recommend renting the golf cart for a great experience considering the place is vast.
Absolutely amazing... I recommend you hire a golf buggy to get around.. So much to see.. Great restaurant inside with buffet..
All-in-1 tourist destination. Ancient City has been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. Visitors can see many significant places in Thailand, for example, castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. Some are models, but some are the originals were taken from certain places. The exhibitions in the Ancient City are divided according to regions for visitors to enjoy and appreciate the core of the multi-faceted culture. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day. There are free tram rides to bring you around. Free bicycles to get you around on your own. Rent a golf buggy for more comfort.Recommended to visit.
Beautiful place located at the outskirts of Bangkok, you can reach this place by taking an MRT and then taking a shared tuk tuk to this place.Book tickets online to save some money. This place is quite big so it is hard to cover it by walking. You can hire a battery operated buggy / scooter / bicycle to see the entire place.Souvenirs and foods are affordable at this place. They have miniatures of all the monuments of Thailand here. The place is well maintained, the washrooms are clean. You get local snacks here. You would need around 3-5 hours to visit the place. In short it is hidden gem in Bangkok. It is also beautiful place for photoshoot.
Amazing place. Come on a weekday to avoid crowds. Bike hire for free. Golf buggy 350 bahts the 1st hour and 100 bahts for each next. You can easily spend there all day, or 3 days... A few decent food spots around with simple Thai food
For foreigners, ticket is 700 baht, but you may book online for a better discount. Bicycles are provided and we cycled to cover the vast area full of replicas. The place is well maintained and we really enjoyed cycling around.
Nice museums, spent almost 3 hours here. We rent the cart wheel, it costs around 350 baht per hour with additional 100 baht for the additional hour
A very cool tourist place. Many interesting locations and beautiful nature. Among the locations are many replicas of real temples and historical buildings, lots of large sculptures and monuments, and even a ghost museum. Golf carts, e-bikes and regular bikes are available for rent.
Worthwhile visiting. Huge place with life size themes of 77 provinces of Thailand. Privately run and very well maintained. Book entry tickets online are much cheaper. Can drive in if one is going by car. Otherwise rental of bikes, ebikes and golf cars for 4 or 8 pax are available.
Definitely a full day experience if you were to stop by each structure. There are 121 locations where you can rent a buggy or bicycles to ride around. They even provide guided tours around the city. I recommend stopping and entering each temple as they are different from one another as each is truly beautiful in its own way. Some places were still in the renovation process when we visited but that did not dull the experience whatsoever! Will visit again once everything is fully opened!
Its man made place, good for people who have trouble visiting to a lot of places in Thailand. There is a collection of places including Ayuthtaya and Sukothai. Beautiful inside. I recommend booking tickets online than buying from the counter, the tickets are cheaper to book online if you are a foreigner visiting. They may recommend to bike or use a cart too, but if you like walking you can actually walk to all the destinations.
It is a magical magical city that will transport you altogether in a totally different era.It houses big life size replicas of lot of Thai monuments of historic importance , also has ruins from the past era. Its just beyond explanation, one definitely needs to spare a day when in Bangkok and visit it.Its in very very large area that requires a full day or a good 7-8 hours.Taxi can be hired from Bkk ( its a good 1.5 hours ride from Bkk.You can rent golf car ( 2, 4 , 8 seater as per your requirement, e bikes , bicycles ( only if you are super fit to ride it 300 acres inside the city). There are small stands selling fruits to juices to tea and coffee to cafe style restros serving food etc.inside the city.I would advice to hit this place early morning 9-10ish to beat the crowds and get some lovely pics for your instagram.Dont forget to enquire at the ticket counter for traditional Thai costumes that you can rent and dressed into before entering the park for a cultural centric experience.
This place is great and moreover its huge. It is very well kept. We couldnt finish covering all places in 3 hours!
An extremely large museum/park with many rebuilt monuments from around Thailand. Would recommend riding a bike around as the park is very large. Water points and toilets are easily assessable and located all around the park
A very cool tourist place. Many interesting locations and beautiful nature. Among the locations are many replicas of real temples and historical buildings, lots of large sculptures and monuments, and even a ghost museum. Golf carts, e-bikes and regular bikes are available for rent. My girlfriend and I rented a bike and rode around the park for about 4 hours. Renting a bicycle cost 150 baht, regardless of the time of use. It is better to eat at the beginning of the park, because most of the food establishments in the park are currently closed. It is also better to order tickets in advance, so it will be twice as cheap, we paid 350 baht for 1 ticket. You can easily get to the 36 route taxi to the terminal stop of the green metro line.
What a great experience and worth-to-visit if youre visiting Bangkok! Its located in Samut Prakan, near Bangkok. To get here, take BTS to Kheha station, then hop on to songthaew no.36, which was a new experience and unique since its quite rare transportation if youre only going around Bangkok area. Tell the driver youre going to "Mueang Boran" or be cautious with the location and just ring the bell so that itll stop in front of the gate.A great tip, buy the ticket online since the price would be 40% less. Dont forget to rent the golf cart as well if youre going during the day since itll be super hot. You only need to change it with passport or your driving licenses, its super convenient and very easy to ride too.During my visit, I rarely found any tourist so its kind of creepy to go inside the place though, BUT everything was so superb and cool, I loved all the attractions, its like youre transported to an ancient lakorn, so for me its definitely a unique experience! Its so rich in culture too, if youre Indonesian, its very similar to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. But believe me, its very different in terms of facilities and how they manage things here. Youll definitely love this place if youre into Thai culture.Highly recommend and must-visit!
Loved this place. So many cool things to see. I would suggest a full day to see everything and hire one of the golf carts. If you love Thai culture this is the place to go.
I went there for the wedding reception and this place is the lovely place. With the ancient classic Thai house, the surrounding combines very well with the reception and this uniqueness creates the overall more romantic, from Day till NIght. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great place for a tour around whats supposed to be the biggest historical outdoor park in the world. Its indeed huge. Forget about doing it by got. Its impossible. You NEED a bike, or actually much better, a golf cart. With that you can manage getting around within 2 hours, without lots of stopping though...
Really nice place to spend a couple of ours exploring the rich culture of Thailand. There are some miniature (but still bigtemples and historical monuments that actually exist as well as some colorful architectures that can be only experienced here. You can choose to walk (not recommended, ride a bicycle, rent a golf cart and get on a bus. We choose to rent a golf cart and it was quite fun to ride around. Many architectures are very colourful and interesting- you will be amazed to see the details of all temples and buildings- some of them are just so beautiful and there are many photo spots also.Market streets are also fun with lots of nostalgic and simple toys that are not like complicated Nintendo! It was a bit sad to see an elephant that was chained though.. didn’t look ethical..Overall, good experience being a bit away from Bangkok!
The park is huge and the buildings are dizzying. The scenic spot provides golf carts, electric motorcycles, bicycles, and of course you can drive your own car. Personal recommendation, if there are few people, I recommend electric motorcycles, and if there are many people, choose golf carts. The entire scenic spot is still under construction, and each building is imitated very realistically. Every building wants to stay in the camera, which is suitable for playing all day. If there are some scenic spots in the park, you can check in here, and the effect is almost the same.
We spent about 6 hours cycling around this amazing place. Other options are golf carts or e-bikes. Its huge, about 10x5km and lots to see and photograph : many places are relocated, reconstructed and others are replicas of the original buildings. Audio-guides are available if you want more details but each place has good signs and sufficient explainations. Take a hat and suncream as it as mosty out doors.
Not far from Bangkok, great natural place with Thailand typical monuments across the wide park. You can either: walk, bicycle, electric bicycle, or drive a golf cart.Highly recommend, better than the ‘typical’ Bangkok temples recommended everywhere.
We visited Ancient City which is been regarded as one of the largest open-air museums in the world. We can see many significant places in Thailand, like castles, palaces, temples, and sculptures. The experience gives the impression of traveling the whole country within a day. Visitors can have an awesome experience of experiencing the Thai cluture. We explored the park in golf cart which is charged at 350 baht per hour. We really enjoyed the time which was well spent.
Such a beautiful place to visit. So many ancient real and replica historical buildings to explore. Most are well translated too which makes understanding easier for foreigners like me. My only regret was not allocating more time to visit. I only had 2.5 hours, but it could easily take a whole day to slowly explore.Word of advice is to rent the golf cart to move around due to its size. If you’re alone like me, rent a bicycle which really helps as well.Getting there is very convenient too. Take the BTS up till the last station, Kheha. Subsequently, take a local ride no. 36 for a short ride to the entrance for 10 baht only.Highly recommended! Use Klook to book for special discount.
Great halfway trip from Bangkok. Very easy to reach. Take the green line to Keha and jump on one of the pick-up taxis waiting at the station (they are marked with a 36 on the roof). The ride to the Ancient City costs 10 Baht. Once at the entrance, tickets are 700 Baht (400 if you have a Thai work permit or drivers license; there seem to be discounted tickets available online as well so thats worth checking out). You can rent an e-bike for 250 Baht (3h, every additional hour costs an extra 100 Baht but 3h is doable even with a coffee break). The park is massive and very well taken care of. Was there on a slightly cloudy Saturday, perfect weather for some sightseeing, still there were very few people in the park. There are small coffee shops and toilets at every corner, super convenient. Lots of great photo stops, history and Thai culture to be explored. Cruising around on an e-bike is great fun. Theres a lot to see and only two of the sites were inaccessible due to maintenance work. Once youre done, bring back the scooter and cross the main street via foot bridge on your left so you can wave down one of the pick-up taxis (again, 10 Baht, marked with a 36 on the roof). A great and fun getaway from the city!
Lovely spot to get an overview of Thailands myriad temples and national landmarks. The architecture and gardens are well put together. There were adequate facilities including bicycles and electric golf carts for hire. The only negative being the construction in some parta of the.massive 320 hectar park.
It is one of the most fruitful trip I have in Bangkok, I recommended for a must to go when you come to Bangkok. We didn’t manage to visit all 100+ photoshooting point, only went to those that we feel more attractive. If you are visiting here, be sure to rent a golf cart, it will really safe you a lot of time!
We had a great day visiting the replica temples and momuments. We had set lunch 600B for a nice selection of food. We hired bicycles as it is flat, but there are also electric motorcycles and golf carts
The park has some quite stunning replicas of historical buildings in various Far East countries. The creator has attempted to create a replica of some of the history of these countries. Its well worth hiring a bubby so you can see more of the park. On the hot day, its really essential. A coupe of places on site sell refreshments and snacks, but not a lot of choice.
I love this place so much! You really have to take a e-bike or small car. This place is extremely large! We pay ticket + 250baht for a 3h rental. I think this was very good price.A lot place inside to buy a water or have some food. Same prices like in shops.
I visited ancient city and its one of my favorite place showcasing Thailands rich culture spread across huge area. You can roam around either by bicycle, golf cart and tram (tram ride is included in the ticket). They have good amenities at each and every stop from coffee to washrooms. World class place with cleanliness and infrastructure. Must visit.
It was beautiful place. We can see Thailand from ancient city. They were gorgeous and beautiful. They taught me so many history about Thailand. It will need half day to finish it all.
Good place to find out the thailand architecture, you should be spend whole day to discover and capture at here. Should be go with a group and rent an electrical car to visit, due to sunny will kill you 😁
Visited during Vesak Day holiday. Well maintained, nice landscaping and beautiful gardening. Good place to have a first glance of Thailand ancient architecture. Keep up the good work and hopefully government will support this place
Marvelous place with lots of amazing photo spots. Can easily spend here a whole day, be prepared spend at least 3 hours. Strongly suggest golf car when visiting between 11am and 4pm hours. Great and very helping staff.
beautiful open air museum nearby Bangkok. you can use taxi from BTS Kheha around 60baht or open-air truck no 36 at 10baht.renting vehicle inside is recommended, either buggy car, electric bike or manual bike, as the area is too big and weather maybe to hot for walking. I spent 3hrs strolling around with buggy cara must visit when you are in Bangkok!
Tour Thailand in a Day...by Golf Cart 🛺!Ancient City (Muang Boranis one of the worlds largest outdoor museums with replicas of famous Thai monuments & architecture on 200 acres of land about 45 minutes south of Bangkok. The park is formed in the same shape as Thailand, with buildings at their correct geographical points. You can visit Bangkoks Grand Palace, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai & much more in a day on a rented bike or golf cart... But watch your head since some of these replicas are scaled to fit.Its another Amazing Thailand 🇹🇭 adventure to add to your must see list.
This is certainly a must for anyone visiting or living in Thailand. The Ancient City is the largest outdoor museum in the world, preserving Siamese true heritage. The Ancient City allows both foreign and Thai nationals to appreciate the history of Thailand. There are 121 sites, some are reconstructed on a scale of about 1 in 3 while others are as big as the original. One can hire a bicycle, an electric bike or even a golf cart to travel around the plus/minus 200 acres. If you have your own car, you can enter the city at a fee.
First of all check on the Internet as you can find combined tickets of the ancient museum and the Arrowan museum which decreased the price by 30%.In the interest of this museum you may rent a golf cart or an electronic bike to travel around, this museum has a very large space and as the weather is hot I would dearly recommend to rent a vehicle which would cost you less than 400 Bhat. The place is absolutely gorgeous, for someone who traveled all around Thailand you would see many monuments and historical places that were reconstructed even though a bit smaller and all in the same place which gives you the WOW effect as for the moment you leave this place 🤩
Absolutely enjoyed it. Get the choice to rent a bicycle or a driver at the entrance. The service is already included in the ticket admission. We went for the bikes as we want to be more flexible when it comes to stopping and taking it in as opposed to having to be considered for other people. Also, it was a good exercise and the breeze was very enjoyable. The park itself is huge! So many beautiful things to see. Pagodas, temples, statues, gardens, ruins, boats, etc. The lost goes on and on. We were the only ones in the massive park when we arrived at around 10:30am. Nobody, but workers that helped maintaining the place, did we meet, which kind of felt like a VIP experience but on the downside, the park and the people are depending on the tickets so we hope that there will be a surge of tourists or more locals soon. COVID really made it a lonely experience since restaurants towards the center or the other end of the park were not even operating. The people deserve to be imbursed for their hard work and need it more than ever now!
Rent a golf cart/buggy, the place is too huge to go on foot. Also, we came across a large monitor lizard roaming freely on the roads which would’ve been a nightmare if we weren’t in our cart.I recommend buying your tickets in advance, we used Klook which saved us a couple of baht so yay!
An absolutely fantastic place. What kind of work they have put in this project. Rent a golfcar and spend the whole day in this place. Bring food. There is many nice places to enjoy your food. Or buy something in the numerous cafes and restaurants along the path. Be sure to visit one of the many souvernier shops as wellThis is a very good park for people in any age
One of the largest outdoor museums in the world, constructed by Lek Viriyaphant. The site is set over a large area and features some beautiful reproductions of some of Thailand’s iconic and mythical buildings that you are free to explore at your leisure. It takes around 2 hours to traverse the park by golf cart, which I highly recommend for shade and comfort as it makes the experience more enjoyable and offers relief from the sun.Quick tip: book your tickets online as it is half price. They will.l not always inform you of this when purchasing tickets on the door. We bought them online while at the park gate and they were available immediately.
A really beautiful place for Buddhismers, they have the headphone come with the tour so you can put the number at the place you see, to hear the storytelling. This place is big so they will give you bicycle to ride around, or if you go as a group, you can rent a electric cart with your passport & driver license (if you dont have driver license still okay, but if you hit something in that area, youll have to pay for it). The price for rent the cart was 500B/hr
Absolutely fantastic and such an awesome day exploring "Thailand" in miniature! Was amazing to see all of those beautiful places in one spot and is one of the most fantastic places weve seen on our trip! Definitely worth a visit!
This is amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you have any interest in Thai architecture, history, or geography or just like cool buildings. (Some were designed by the same artist as Sanctuary of Truth and theErawan Museum, so if you liked those, you should check out this.)The scale of this place is beyond enormous. In two hours, I RUSHED through. I recommend renting a bicycle (which you can do on the premises. You can also get a ride in a golf cart which stops at the major places for a short time so you can get out and take photos. I encountered a little confusion with the carts. The first one dropped me off at a stop in the beginning and then I never saw or heard from him again. Maybe they are supposed to come regularly when its not pandemic times? I had better luck when I managed to charter my own golf cart who gave me a private tour (no extra costbut oddly, the driver had to be told by a woman at reception who spoke English that that is what I wanted.Getting to the park and back is not too hard. Take the BTS to the final station where you can pick up one of the many waiting songthaews or taxis to take you the rest of the ten minute drive or so down the big street to the entrance. There are also taxis at Ancient City thatll take you back (for a slightly inflated fare...)Some of the structures in the park represent smaller versions of actual landmarks and some are utter fantasy. Loved both. There is an audio tour as well. As a cool building junkie, I could have spent all day here.
A beautiful park that you can take at your own pace. Although they are replicas, it is a great way to see all the different styles of Thai temples. Along the way you can read or listen to the history. We took a golf cart, but you can rent a bike or escooter as well. I do not recommend the tram since it is better to explore and wander. Going in the different sites is difficult for wheelchair and strollers but there is plenty to see without actually going in.
Great place to see Thai architecture and artifacts and replicas from Thailands past. We also enjoy either renting the bikes to ride around or renting a golf cart, which makes getting around and quick stops quite easy (especially with young kids).Lots of lizards for the kids to gawk over. Also spotted a walking fish. There was some construction that closed off two exhibits (August 2021), so looking forward to seeing those open again on our next visit,
