Allways feel welcome and our food were realy good!

Good and ambiance were excellent. The food was very tasty and the portions are generous. The kids all they the fries are the best they have ever had !

I loved the blue tiles. The portions are huge! So come hungry. Loved our waiter and they were very accommodating with our baby girl.

Waited nearly 1 and a half hour for main meal and when the food finally arrived, the food was cold and had to be send back to reheat. Waitress of the table did not really make any effort to attend to us, were serviced by various waiters. Not going back there soon 😡

Our meal took over an hour to prepare. Waiter was not attentive. Did not even bring over any bread as she did to other tables, only when requested.We ordered the calamari, wet rice and crayfish.The wet rice was horribly bland. When I raised this with the manager she stated it was meant to be bland and that was “according to Portuguese standard”The crayfish was flavorless and cooked until rubbery. Again, all the manager could do was shrug and say that crayfish are out of season and were cooked from frozen.The bread was lovely and so was the calamari and chips but overall it was a disappointing meal and memorable for the wrong reasons.

Most awefull and disturbing DJ job Ive ever experienced!! Earpiercing to say the least.Had to get up to go and call waitresses to attend to us.Food and drink was good.

Good decent place in Walvis Bay waterfront with a large selection menu. The menu is a mix of the local favorites with traces of Portuguese cuisine pampered by a Mozambican chef. Its a great place to eat if you want to have a taste of the local scene. The catamaran cruises are nearby, so it can get busy, book in advance.Overall a good experience.

Sorry to say. Really not good experience. Awful chicken livers and messed up orders. I will be back again because we had better before. It might have been a bad day only but the chicken livers will never ever be ordered again. Very basic and very bad recipe. Come on Anchors, you are better than this!

I had the worst experience ever, staff started cleaning and clearing out the place emidiately after the food was served,wide open doors chilling cold breeze making sure you leave asap. plus my booking was completely ignored/mixed up and given to another couple. The food is great though and hopefully you will have a better experience then we had. Overall its a great restaurant. Make sure to ask in advance whats their closing time or generally trading hours.

Worst dining experience in a very long time. We have eaten here many times before and loved the experience, but this time was horrid. My husbands surf and turf was completely raw. After calling for the manager and explaining to her what was wrong she said that she would take it off the bill. She then called for another manager by the name of Simoné who did not even greet us and went on to say that my husbands very raw food was indeed not raw and he should stop complaining and eat it, because she would of eaten the food. 0/10 would not recommend. Especially because of RUDE management.

Great views, relaxing atmosphere, a variety of seating options and friendly staff. Whats not to love. Mostly seafood menu, and an amazing drink selection.Awesome place to unwind and relax.

a perfect place to eat a sole or crab claws direct from the ocean. the jetty with pelicans and dolphins offers a great scenery.

Must say, I loved the vibe. There was music outside . Felt like I was at some tropical island. Drinks and service was okay except by the time I wanted to pay the staff were enjoying watching guests having fun outside.. waited 15 min just to pay. Food?.... Apart from preprepared food that was bought and then fried ....not great. the Chorizo grill smelled of the "spirits" it was grilled on and really was not nice. But other than that. I will be back . Loved the vibe.

Definitely a hidden gem in Walvis Bay. The food was amazing, staff are friendly and the vibe was great. Pricing was fair and a large menu to choose from. Try the pan fried Calamari and trio of fish.

Lovely location by the sea. Perfect for a sunny Sunday with family or friends. Tranquil atmosphere. Great staff.The food was mouth watering/ scrumptious.

Great venue and great food but service lets it down. Waiters to busy engaging with themselves. Besides ourselves I saw two other patrons asking for service and the one couple left.

Although Tripadvisor rated this place as 4&1/2, I was quite dissappointed. Most of us had the fish trio. Fish was good but almost tasted similar. Chips really not worth the while.Spareribs and cheese cake nice though.Will try Dockside next time!

Anchors is a must visit when youre in Walvis Bay. Food is absolutely fantastic and the ambience is one of a kind. Friendly owners and waitrons is the cherry on top of this wonderful cake.The calamari is an absolute must!!!!

Great atmosphere and views of the ocean drinks and food are reasonably priced. I had the seafood curry which lacked the curry flavor. But other than that I enjoyed my evening.

First time eating crab claws... awesome experience... if you want oversized portions at good prices then Anchors it is

Visited the place in 2019 and loved their seafood platter. But, in October 2021, I Ordered the seafood rice and it was bland. The sauce had no seasoning at all, asked the waitress to send the food back and notify the chef and did not get any apology at all. The service was also very slow and had to flag down random waiters to clear our table since the waitress assigned to our table was no where to be found.

Im not typically a calamari fan but my friend insisted I try their fried Calamari and I am so glad I did. It was amazing! Tender inside, crispy outside with delicious tartar sauce. The perfect place to be on a sunny afternoon.

Nice fish and chips with tartare sauce. Overall it did it looked a bit more like bar food rather than restaurant food. Beer was very cold.

I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life but I dont think I have been to one where the service is as swift as it was at this restaurant tonight. I asked for water as I came in and as soon as I sat down the bottle was at my table. I ordered the beer battered hake and I loved it. Nice ambiance . The prices are very reasonable. I paid less than R300.00 for a meal and two cocktails and a bottle of water. Nice friendly staff and its quite international so you hear chatter in different languages

Visited there again today 15 November 2019 and was not disappointed. Great food! The biggest burger youve ever seen! My original post: Great location. Lovely to watch the birds. Been there multiple times. Service a bit slow. Food good. Recommend the grilled Calamari ring starters and the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce. This place is a firm favourite of the local Walvis Bay residents and Swakopmunders as well as tourists.

I came for the oysters! They were very good, but not the best. Only because they were not shucked correctly so there were small pieces of shell in 2 of them. So I moved on to some mussels. They were good too, not mind-blowing. Then I order prawn and I understood why everybody says you must go here for seafood!

Great view of the harbor while indulging in a sea food platter that we created our self . The food was lovely and the portion was fair enough.

An excellent restaurant, right along the seashore in Walvis Bay. The interior is very common, dowh to earth, but the seafood is supurb. The oysters, King Klip or sole are outstanding. Recommended.

Good seafood, good views of the jetty and harbour. The meal portions are generous and the fresh oysters are a must have. If the weather allows, be sure to sit outside. We were surprised by a friendly pelican which gladly posed for photos. Sipping wine and eating oysters is a great way to spend a lazy afternoon. The area is very popular with tourists as their are a number of boat cruise operators that operate from the jetty viewed from the restaurant.

Wow, what an amazing place. (You may as well read my whole review cause lets be honest, you want to eat here😁Service excellent. Food delicious. We called ahead to see if we needed reservations, they said just walk in. So we did. Sat down, ordered drinks and starters. The calimari starter and 6 oysters. The fried calimari were huge pieces and were some of the best calimari weve had. The oyesters had a great flavor, highly recommend those (everything we had I would recommend 😂we than ordered a 500g steak (medium rare, because how elseprawns, ribs, and MORE CALIMARI (not fried this timethe steak was amazing and the garlic butter was heavenly! (Coming from a self acclaimed steak connoisseurthe prawns were succulent, ribs were murican🇺🇸 tasting, and the calimari was of course, perfect. The service was excellent. Our server was great and responsive. She even got our notsogood jokes. And the food came very quick. But that didnt take away from the greatness and tastyness of the food. Its the best of both worlds. Fast and delish. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I must say that the service (actually smiling staff compared to other places visitedand speed of the food preparation was amazing. But even more amazing was the taste of the food it really was the best while visiting Walvis Bay. Well worth the visit - you will not be disappointed. Definitely will go again on next visit

Really a go-to when visiting Walvis Bay, the view is amazing and the food as well. They have the BEST calamari that I have ever tasted and their service is very good and friendly. Love coming back time and time again!
