Laid-back eatery featuring Southwestern-style chili, burgers & sandwiches, plus local beers.
Delicious wings on Friday nights!!!! They are 75 cents on Fridays and their Chili is awesome!!! I have had a few different kinds. I really want to try all of them.
Fantastic food and a relaxed, casual feel. Never been disappointed by anything Ive tried here, the Cuban stew is my absolute favorite since the first time I tried it. Love the touch of the sour cream and fresh lime wedges that really push it over the top. My recommendation: no matter what you decide on make sure you add a side of their awesome sweet cornbread, you wont regret it! Im quite proud to call Anaheim Chili a hometown favorite!
You can trust that a restaurant with "chili" in the name does at least one thing really well. Black bean chili and the Pesole are my faves. There are both mild and vegetarian available, but they know how to crank up the heat, too. But heres the big secret -- AC is so much more than good chili. My family is here at least once a week year-round, enjoying the burgers, dogs, and the fantastic selection of local beers on tap. I steer toward the powerful Serrano Burger, and my friend loves the Anaheim Special Dog that comes stuffed with jalapeño and wrapped in bacon! The staff are quick, and happy to make reasonable adjustments for our familys two picky eaters.
Not a bad place but its pretty expensive. I wasnt told that you get upcharged if you order a double bowl of the daily chili. It doesnt help that its literally just two small bowls of chili with no crackers, sauce, or anything. Other than that, pretty good. The extra hot seasoning makes their chili the perfect amount of "hot". Oh, the service is great.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The burgers, fries, and local beer selection are fantastic. All the appetizers are super tasty. Oddly, Ive not actually tried the chili because the green Chile burger or serano burger always win out. Wait staff is friendly and fun. Sad that they will no longer be partnering with Pints and Pixels, as the food was really the reason my husband and I went there. Guess we will just have to make it to Jones Valley more often!
Always a great place to go for reasonably priced and great tasting eats. Love their newish loaded Tater tots. The adobo chicken sliders are the best and with Chipotle mayo and bacon they are next level.
Anaheim Chili Is the best, No Frills, Chili restaurant Ive ever been to. Its not big, its not fancy, and has great service. You want good Chilli with a large selection, in Huntsville? Anaheim chili is the place to go. I recommend the all-you-can-eat chili so you can taste thier wide selection of chilli bowls and condiments! Dont forget (and who could once you have itthe cornbred. The restaurant was recommended by a local who Goes there frequently, And now I will recommend it for others.
Sunday afternoons can be super busy I understand that, however my sister and I were not happy with the service we experienced today. We waited about 10 mins to be greeted. Another another 50 mins for our food with almost no update on what was going on with our order until our food had come out. We ordered beer and ended up ordering more because our wait was so long..we wouldnt have ordered more if we had gotten our food at a reasonable time so it doesnt seem fair to charge us for the extra beer. Also we asked if we could get two sauces on the ten wings, without being told it was an upcharge of $1 to do so, we wouldnt have ordered them then. Servers were friendly but seemed so obsessed with whatever drama was going on in the back to pay the proper attention to their guests. Just a bad experience all around.
We loved our first visit to Anaheim Chili! The Serrano Burger was muy delicioso. It had chopped, grilled serranos with pepper jack cheese and chipotle mayo. I added the jalapeño bacon. This burger had some heat! It reminded me of some of the green chile burgers I had while living in Arizona and visiting New Mexico. They had lots of local and regional beers on tap and in bottles and cans. We’ll definitely visit Anaheim Chili again soon!
They have wonderful chili like the: black bean, red bean, and homestyle. The 🌭 look good, but $7.50 is too much for me to even consider one... Their cornbread is good, too.
This place is fantastically family friendly! Best chili in town! Great service! I had Cuban Stew and tater tots, my wife had Homestyle Chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. Comfort food and a great location! Family owned and operated. Definitely worth a visit!
Love this place! Service is always great and food is on point! Try the jalapeño poppers, they are to die for! I also love the pimento cheese and sweet potato fries! The chili peppers indicating the heat in the chili/soup is no joke though! The chili is excellent but some definitely bring the heat! They also have a great selection of local/craft beer on tap!
We used to go to Anaheim when it opened a few years ago and it was great. Last night, we were in town for a visit and decided to have dinner there. Unfortunately, the food quality has dropped off just a bit and the place just had a weird vibe. It’s still a good place overall, but perhaps the management needs to step back and take a fresh look so it can return things to a 4-star rating.
This is one of my favorite restaurants to bring out-of-town guests. The concept is unique to the area, offering many different types of chilis. There is something for everyone here. Some of our favorites include the serrano burger (one of the best burgers in town), white chili, green chili, frito pie, pimento cheese app, etc. The food is consistently good, with a friendly staff and wonderful service. When family visits, weve been known to eat here multiple days in a row. :)
I have come here a couple of times and love their chili selection! There are so many gluten free chili options as well as appetizers and sides. Being celiac, this is a huge deal since I actually have options. We ordered the chicharones and pimento cheese which were both made fresh. It was SO GOOD. I also had a chili pie (fritos piewith cole slaw and was in heaven. I could come here and get so many different delicious combinations of chili each time! A definite must-do in Huntsville.
Looking for a place to eat that had something unusual and thankfully, Anaheim Chili popped up on the screen! 3 of us ate here and we all loved our meals! Chili was something different-you dont find that on too many menus. The green chile cheeseburger was great! Made me miss New Mexico..... We will definitely make this a regular stop when in Huntsville!
Really love this place. Friendly staff and consistently great food. We have been coming here for years and the quality has remained the same. They do a good job of keeping local beers in stock as well. So support your smaller restaurants and try it out!
Me and my wife are like most with way busy lives, burnt out on take out, when the great places are the same after a while. This is a great way to break it up, the different Chilis, hot Dawgs and burgers are great, like grilling out without the mess. One of my favorites!
Food here is really good. The Cuban stew and white chili stew is awesome! Love the cornbread. I also like the grilled pimento cheese sandwich with bacon added. MMMMM! Good!
Best green chile burger outside of New Mexico! If only they could accept that the only "e" in posole is at the end, even if the lady who gave them the recipe did spell it wrong, theyd be perfect. ;- The Cuban stew is fantastic.
Absolutely my favorite place in Huntsville. The onion rings put all other onion rings to shame. Im not a big fan of spicy food, but this place has the perfect combination of spicy and flavorful. Go for amazing soup, excellent chicken sandwiches, chili dogs, and a lot of other great options. The watermelon salad thats available in the summer is SO GOOD. I wish they had it year round!
They have a nice variety of chili to choose from. I had the chicken sliders and they were ok, my fiancee got the chili dog and it was one of the best one had. They also have a decent selection of draft beers.
Wish I could write a review about the chili but upon entering the establishment we were greeted rudely, strike that, we werent greeted at all so we left. Guy at the counter looked up from his phone at us then looked back down, never said a word. Whats happened to customer service?
Favorite restaraunt in Huntsville because of their excellent food and service! The wait staff is friendly and always accommodating. They make the best american food in town, which is always better when its topped with chili! Personal favorites are the chilimac, chili cheese dog, and the texas chili on tuesdays.
Good beer selection. Lets if chili options! Had a chili dog, Frito chili pie and tasted three different chilis. Nice place. Mondays are all you can eat chili, which if you like chili should be a great deal.
The food could have been very good, it seems the cook must have run out of salt possibly pepper too. The meat had no flavor, the the fire roasted green chili on my burger had no flavor. The onion rings sweet, the batter was sweet, sweet seems to be the only flavor.
The service and staff seemed nice and friendly. I didnt try the chili so I will definitely try that next time. The burger and onion rings I got were very done to say the least. Im not used to 2 very small burger patties to make one, they were crunchy and just above burnt. The bun is extremely filling actually more bread than meat but I can understand keeping costs down. The onion rings were good a little more done than in used to instead of a golden brown they were more like a very dark brown. It was a clean place and everything was in good order. It is worth trying again .
Overall, this place is good to go out sometime, but nothing Id take a date to.The food wasnt that great, not to mention that they forgot to put sauce on it like the menu said... The bunns were kinda bland and messy. French fries were good though. The waiter seemed friendly, but kinda tried to laugh with us but instead it came off a bit harsher than I think she mentioned it. She also took quite a while to refill my drink... I also kinda expect that a waiter or someone to check my food to make sure its correct. As a side note, there is not a real AC unit present... And this place is in dire need of one.Cleanliness : 4/5Comfort : 3/5Staff : 3/5Food : 3/5
Anaheim Chili is heaven sent. I’m a huge chili fan and once I found out about this place, we got there as soon as I could and I was thrilled with this awesome restaurant. The establishment is super clean; very modern with TVs and a very professional wait staff. I dug into the “White Chili” and the “Black Bean Chili” and was not disappointed … it was delicious! My wife enjoyed her “Green Chili” and “Pesole”. We found the “Jerk Shrimp Skewer” a disappointment, as it was bland and overpriced. Despite the mistake of ordering the shrimp, we loved Anaheim Chili and can’t wait to return in order to support one of Huntsville’s own and also enjoy some of the local beer on tap.
First time there, had the "All you can eat" chili special they run on Mondays plus a hotdog. Prices were very reasonable and the service was prompt. My faves were the Green Chili and the Black Bean one. They serve you 6oz bowls and you can try whatever chili you want. My fiance got a chili dog and sweet potato fries, she said everything was amazing and I agree. $25 for a tea, water, all you can eat chili, two hot dogs and a sweet potato fry for us. We will be returning!
First time here, will definitely return the next time Im in town. If you like chili, go on Mondays when you can get all you can eat, three different types, then another type on the reorder. Tasty burgers, too. And beer!
Anaheim chilli is the bomb! Great service, the staff is always so sweet and helpful. The get extra points from me because they are so sweet to my 2 year old son. The great service and delicious food keeps us coming back. Its not expensive and its definitely not gormet, but its goooood!! We come here all of the time. It also has a nicely stocked bar, and is not ever super crowded. We have never had to wait for a table, but Im always surprised that its not more busy! I think that they do a lot of catering.
We are very partial to Anaheim Chili. The wait staff are all very attentive and polite. They have gotten to know us and will give us suggestions if we want to try something new in food or beer. I have tried all of the chilies and a few other menu items and I have never had a bad meal. I recommend no matter what you get always get a piece of their to die for cornbread, yummy for sure. A great place to take the family. Or just to stop by for lunch by yourself. Clean restrooms and eating area.
I stopped in for a chili cheese hamburger with a cup of pesole. The hamburger was quite good and the chicken and chickpeas in the pesole were excellent. The plate came with a slightly sweet combination of pickles and jalapenos. It was 3:00 on a Saturday so the place was a little empty. It is located in the middle of a strip mall so it doesnt exactly stand our but it is definitely worth finding.
Good food with friendly service. Respectable craft beer selection and a good variety of chili. I generally am able to accommodate any of my friends and their dietary needs here. Even the non chili food is noteworthy.
Food has more flavor than most other restaurants. Strong doses of various seasonings complementing the main ingredients. Nothing on menu is like any other restaurants version even hot dogs and hamburgers.
I love this resteraunt and eat here pretty frequently. If you love chili and beer, this is the place for you. The service is fast and friendly and all the chilis are good. The vegetarian 3 bean is probably the spiciest and the black bean is my favorite in general. They also make a fantastic very spicy gumbo on Wednesdays.
Great chili and beer... Fatal fries, anyone?
Good chili/Cuban stew. Serrano burger is a staple menu item. Onion rings are great.
Great chili, all good, havent tried vegetarian yet. Anaheim dog is fabulous. I go around 2 to 3 pm. Service great, quiet, fast. Onion rings superb.
Great chili! If youre looking to try it make sure and come out on Monday and do all you can eat and sample all the chilis. Texas Chili (Tuesday onlyis many peoples favorite and worth a try if you can make it on Tuesday. Im also partial to the black bean, home style and vegetarian 3 bean. The 3 bean is a little hot so be careful and if you want to spice up another dish ask for "AC" sauce.Cornbread is also a must try.
This is some of the best chili in Huntsville, AL. They also serve chili at Pints & Pixels downtown. I really like this location though since it feels more like a restaurant than a bar/arcade.Make sure you try the cornbread too! Its so yummy!
Great place to get chili on a cold night. Over 10 different chilis to try. I had black bean chili and it was great. Go on Thursday for buy one cup of chili and get one free. Beer is also half off.
The food is good, but the service is lacking. The place is just so badly understaffed that the waiters -- who seem lovely, by the way -- cant keep up. They could use at least one more waiter, a self serve soda fountain, and serving trays. When the waiters have to hand carry each dish, taking multiple trips to deliver a single order, its no wonder half the drink cups in the house stay empty.
Great food, great beer, great prices! I love their ghost pepper wild wings (3 pork shanks with ghost pepper dry rub), relish dog with house made spicy relish, fatal fries...well, basically everything Ive eaten there. They also have a great selection of local craft brews. An absolute must!
The chilly was super delicious! We also had a burger and onion rings which were also good. It wasnt busy when we were there, and the waitress was very friendly. They have a nice selection of local beers, and specials M-Th. Ths special was 1/2 priced beers!Would definitely go again.
Threw down on a 2 Patty (standardSerachi burger, had the chef deliberately over crisp the 🍟fries on request, Slammed an Imperial Stout and went to my Happy Place. The cup of Red on the side was delicious and Service was terrific.A great stop for Original, One of a kind Pub Grub.Five Stars, Two Thumbs up, and a round of applause for "Good Stuff"Tell em Rick sent ya.... And theyll probably still serve you. :-)
Anaheim Chili is a long drive from where I normally am, so Ive only been here two times. However, Ive really enjoyed the food both times. The Serrano Burger is spicy (for me, anyways), but very tasty!
Very good chili. Many choices, some gluten and dairy free. Really good habanero cornbread (not too spicy), a little sweet. Lots of choices of local beers. Also, awesome burgers! Better than 5 guys!
Huntsville has some fantastic places to eat, and Anaheim is quickly becoming my favorite. There are about 10 types of chili that are always on the menu (Black Bean and White are my favoriteand it seems every few months they have something new for a special. Great beer selection as well.
