Ampersand in Luzern

Had a fabulous meal at Ampersand this evening. Fantastic food and very friendly and helpful staff.

Wunderbar gemütliches Restaurant mit unglaublich leckerem Fleisch, egal ob Lamm oder Rind. Sehr leckere Salate und Beilagen. Tolle Weine.Kleine gemütliche Zigarren Lounge direkt im Restaurant. Super freundliche Bedienung.Sehr sauber und gut zu Fuss oder mit dem Auto erreichbar. Am Wochenende ist eine Reservation empfohlen.

Hammer Restaurant wir hatten das Geschäftsessen dort und ich kann nur sagen Top Top Top. Sehr freundliches Personal sehr gutes Essen und auch die Portionen waren genau richtig. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Ich werde auf jeden fall wieder hin gehen.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food!! We ordered drinks and two of the steaks plus some sides. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Plus, there is a cigar lounge connected to the restaurant if that’s your thing. Highly recommend if you’re in town!

The food was good, was a bit cold. The service was poor, they brought the wrong order and overcharged us for it!

Only one thing to say about my experience here :The "All you can eat" offering is really not what you expect... we had 4 people on one table which ordered the AYCE beef brisket, mac n cheese, salad, and beans. The first plate they brought us had 8 pieces of brisket - and thin slices at that. So obviously this was gone super quick. At the same time as the brisket, they brought us the MacnCheese side dish. This was as well gone very quickly. Then came the song and dance : not once did the server come and ask us if we want more brisket. We had to essentially beg for more brisket, and this was ordered in Swiss German. Finally, after another 30-40 minutes, he brought us a new plate... complete with 2 pieces of brisket. 4 people, 2 pieces... we asked him why he didnt bring another normal portion for all of us and he said that we ordered only 2 more... not true. So then we started the process again, ordered the exact number we wanted... it took another 45 minutes or so to bring this out. I mean just ridiculous, and this is not to mention that we ordered a 2nd macncheese bowl at least 3 different times - from different servers - and it never came. So all in all, in the span of 3 hours, we had 4 pieces of brisket and 1 bowl of mac n cheese. Absolutely the worst AYCE experience i have ever had. @Ampersand, either revise your definition of AYCE or remove this listing from your menu, it is not at all fair to your customers.

As my wife said. Best meal we’ve had in a long time. Service was great from the manager, the waiter, and the chef. The sweet popcorn ice dessert topped off a wonderful evening.

Nice presentation of the food. Seemed fresh and tasty. However, I find it quite expensive. But I guess it is okay for the location.

Excellent food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff!! We visited for our wedding anniversary dinner and since we dont have good access to babysitters, brought our 2 and 4 year old along. We were made to feel very welcome, and the kids too which made us all feel very comfortable and relaxed!! The meat sharing plate was excellent, perfectly cooked and good quality. We had the tomato soup and autumn salad for starter, also both very good... Kids shared a burger and pommes which suited them too. Big wine selection, lovely ambience.

Really great environment! We ordered a grill plate for share. The lamb and chicken were awesome. Our entrecote was a little bit over cooked and the sausage was not good.

I had a very nice evening with my friends at Ampersand. It’s a nice location, the service is attentive and competent and everyone loved the quality of the food.It has also a wide selection of wine and I look forward to my next visit.

Best in town

Probably one the best BBQ places in Lucerne, booking is recommended otherwise you may have to turn around and go. Felt it was a little expensive then its Switzerland. The food was well made and well presented, Amazing taste and portion sizes are ok I would say but aii who dont like a lot of food. Great setup and great ambiance overall, recommended if you are going for a romantic dinner or a lads night out. Would visit again.

Absolutely great restaurant, very recommendable... First of all the ambience of you enter the restaurant is very nice. Love the interior design. More important thou... the food. Definitely a grill restaurant with fantastic meat dishes. We choose an entrecôte and it was really fantastically done. Only the presentation was a highlight already including fresh home made sauces including a to die for foamy Béarnaise sauce and an excellent bbq sauce. Al dente seasonable vegetables served in a cute le creuset mini pan and lovely perfectly baked French fries. The staff is super friendly too, so definitely a place to come back to.Even for vegetarians there would be a small but nice choice too. However the base of this restaurant is meat as being a grill restaurant. Next time I might choose the platter. Looked delicious too.For the cigar Connaisseurs and smokers, they have a great smokers lounge. I think the nicest I know in Lucerne.The prices are rather high but very much ok for what you get considered that everything is freshly made and they only use regional products and as an add on the great ambiance.Thank you team Ampersand. Food was great and the chef is really passionate about food and cooking. He took time to show us the fresh meat and explain to us before it was cooked. Waiter was very helpful too. Food is amazing!

The design was very nice.The grilled Avocado as starter and grilled Marshmallow with the fendant au chocolat + coffee as dessert was very good and tasty.The grilled meat -entrecôte steak was delicious.They also have a nice selection of wine.To summarise very good and the staff is very nice.

Upscale grill with a simple menu. Dry aged ribeye was good and cooked perfectly. A little expensive for what we got. Great sides.

Great place for a delicious dinner, also great for just drinks with a separate fumoir. Very nice interior that creates a welcoming atmosphere.

Great food great location great ambiance

Expensive but awesome food. All of it, not just the meat, also all the sides and sauces were just perfect, and we tried many of them. Only downside was that the service became slow when it started filling up, but who cares after a meal like that.
