Ampavris Family Apartments in Kos

This is now the third time i’ve been here, twice with the girls and once with my partner… The Sourasis Family can not make your time here feel anymore welcoming and part of their family… George, his wonderful, funny down to earth boys, Kosta, Stamatis (steveand Christoforos, not to forget Mrs Sourasis the glue of the family such an amazing and beautiful woman.Anything your needing these guys will help you to the best of their ability.. I’ve never seen them fail yet.. No request is too big or small.. If you love a proper Greek apartment then this is the place for you. Apartments are basic but nice and tidy, the maids come regular to change bedding towels and clean rooms..The walk down the harbour is around 10/15min walk, if you dont want to walk you can ask them to order you a taxi which costs around 7 Euros… You want to know about excursions, car or bike hire all you need to do is ask, these guys will help guide you and even order you the bikes or carsCant leave this without mentioning little Stamatis (Steve).. Fantastic funny barman, not sure what to drink tell him what you like and he’ll give you a version you’ve never tried before or even think about trying..Amazing guys. My 2 friends and I have just had a 4 day girlie holiday to Kos and stayed here. We arrived at 12 midnight and started our holiday with gorgeous cocktails at the bar. We were shown to our apartment which was spacious and very clean.The first morning was spent around the pool, plenty of sunbeds and the pool is a decent size with the added bonus of a seating area with a jacuzzi. Lovely cold beers round the pool were very refreshing. We had breakfast and lunch at complex which was super value for money and presented nicely. We walked into town on an evening which was about a 15-20 min walk. The hotel is family run and you actually feel like part of their family, they couldnt make you feel anymore welcome. I particularly bonded with Miranda (our cleaner)who was so helpful and has a heart of gold. We will definitely visit again.

This place is amazing. The family that run it are absolutely brilliant & make sure you book "The Greek Night" for a wonderful, great value for money evening of entertainment.

Perfect Greek hospitality. A little out of town but I prefer this personally.The family run apartments are highly recommended and they see return customers year after year.

Rooms basic,but very clean and well maintained,staff very friendly and hospitable, but the walk up hill to the premises is horrendous in hot weather, taxis not always available so making a night out in kos town a big gamble,as a result would not return unfortunately as the place is great but too remote

Great welcome on arrival, great friendly staff , location a bit from the harbour area ,but a nice walk down to it.. definitely worth a visit we will return for sure

What a lovely family run apartments. We have enjoyed our visit. The apartments are well maintained with daily cleaning and regular changes of linen/towels. The pool area is relaxing and has the sun all day. We ate and drank at the cafe bar every lunchtime, Greek salad, Gyros, Club Sandwich, Cheeseburger and Carbonara were all plentiful and delicious. The grounds have plenty of mature shrubs like bougainvillea and hibiscus. The owners have got it just right.

Lovely place, perfect location & the people/family are just absolutely brilliant. Couldnt have made us feel any more welcome & rooms were spotless. Lovely 15 minute walk to town or 5 minutes - 6 or 7 euros for a taxi. Id definitely give this place 11 out of 10 & will definitely be back 👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely love love it at Ampavris . We last came here 9 years ago & decided to stay here again when going to Kos. The family who run it are just the best . So friendly , caring and dedicated . Located up a hill away from the town centre but its an easy walk . You get a lovely breeze when you are sat around the decent sized pool. There are plenty of sun loungers . Nice little bar that sells food up until 8.30 pm . My hubby enjoyed the breakfasts . Bar open until 2am but its not noisy so you are not disturbed. Rooms are basic Greece but are spotlessly clean . Cleaned every day & we got clean towels & bedding every couple of days . Nothing is too much trouble . People return here year after year . Huge thanks to George , Steve , little Steve , Costa & Chris .

A magic place that people return to time and time again. Run by a lovely family who treat everyone as one of their own. In a really great location, close to Kos town but in a beautiful peaceful location with great views to Turkish mountains. Well be back again in 2022.

Ampavris family apartments have all you need, clean apartments & nice gardens, lovely swimming pool & run by an amazing family, George, Steve, Kosta & wives cant do enough for you, a short walk down to Kos Town & Harbour, restaurants etc, highly reccomend staying here and having a relaxing amazing holiday, we will definitely be back soon, all our family was there together it was great 😀

Fab appartments, great pool, good location. The family that own these are absolutely amazing, they make you feel so welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Booked for 3 weeks but so good extended to 4 weeks and if i could have would have extended even further. I will be returning. Fantastic holiday. Thanks to everyone, owners, staff and guests made my holiday so special.x

Having just returned from these apartments after 2 weeks holiday the family are very friendly and (Steve English name was great at the bar and was made to feel very welcome will not hesitate to book these apartments in the futureThe room we stayed in was a 1 bedroom apartment and had a very modern bathroom and quiet balcony .Thank you all for a great time in the current situation .

Very friendly, family run apartments which are situated in the most gorgeous and quiet grounds. Hence my family and I returning for the 2nd time.

A true slice of Greek hospitality in a perfect location!Situated a short (€5-6cab ride to the harbour Ampavris sits upon an elevated slope giving beautiful views of Turkey and surrounding rooftops, its position also benefits from a gentle, day-long breeze.Sunbeds are in plentiful supply and the well-stocked Blue Supermarket is a 5-minute walk away for those self-catering.George, Stematis, Kostas and Anna will move mountains to make you feel a welcome part of the family (expect to be invited to name day celebrations and family barbeques).Our room (number 10was spacious, light and decorated to a high standard with all of the basics expected of a Greek, self-catered studio. Each room has a small balcony or terrace and ours also had a shared seating area that we used on occasion.The only downside to staying at the Ampavris Family Apartments is that unfortunately..at some point.. you have to leave them! 😔❤️🇬🇷

This is a very good adres to relax. Kostas and his family are very polite and kind.The accomodation is perfect. Nice appartment, big, very pleasant terras with a bar and pool. Closebye Kos town. We walked every day. Next year wr like to come back!

We stayed there for 2 weeks and we loved it.Its an family owned hotel an you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.The cleaning in the hotel could be better but the rooms is ok an as you can aspect.If we ever come back to Kos we will come back at this hotel for sure.

We stayed here with some friends this summer and it was one of the best holidays we have had. George and family are lovely, very welcoming and going out of their way to make you feel at home. The rooms are lovely, and the pool and bar are kept on fantastic condition. Theres a great snack bar for breakfast and lunch and once a week theres a Greek night where the family cooks amazing Greek food and puts on a fantastic show. The apartments are great for families as well as couples wanting to get away. Kos town is just a 10 minute walk down the road where you can find bars, restaurants, the castle, casa Romana, and the harbour.

Family run great relaxing place too stay would def come back.
