Amigos in Belmopan

Rules of safety not respected. We didnt conduct a buddy check because they were rushing us in the water (I didnt even have a buddy assigned for my second dive). Before they told me to jump in the water I realized that I couldnt inflate my BCD because they forgot to attach it to the tank. But the worst thing is that they feed the fishes underwater as if it was a tourist attraction. Moreover, our DM kept cuddling a grouper who came close by and inviting the other divers to do the same, while at the same time hitting corals with the fins because he was not paying attention.So unprofessional! As a diver you should have a passive behaviour, not feeding, not touching anything.Overall, it felt like they were just interested in making money. They even accepted open water divers to go to the Blue Hole (40 metres deepand one of the DM actually killed a fish underwater while trying to show it to us.I would never go back there.

Friends of the Sea is a well-established dive shop in San Pedro offering The Great Blue Hole (including Half Moon Cave wall and the Aquariumand Turneffe Attoll with full day 3 tank dives which starts around 6h00am. They pool divers from other dive shops during low season.Very friendly and accomodating staff, very detailed briefing from DMs before each dive…thank you John…and very good supervision underwater. DMs are not allowed to capture photos / videos underwater, either bring your own camera or you can rent one from the dive shop.For lunch, a stop at Half Moon Cave island is scheduled; do not forget to bring money for your entrance fee if not included in your package.

Went out for 4 dives on the reef and a snorkeling adventure at Hol Chan and shark ray ally. Tony and JC both provided a safe and fun space to explore and were incredible at pointing out local wildlife. Rene and Birdman both did a great job as skipper. Thank you all for a great time!

I did the Blue Hole tour with Amigos Del Mar dive shop and it was such an amazing and memorable day! All the instructors and facilitators are so dialed into creating a seamless and enjoyable experience. John Romero explained everything we needed to know so well, it was great to chat with JC about life on the caye, and everyone was upbeat and a pleasure to work with. I loved the combination of appreciating underwater topography as we swam through stalactites in the Blue Hole and the abundant wildlife in the reef around Half Moon Caye. The food was plentiful, lunch was delicious, and the rum punch enjoyable on the return trip. Everything I was hoping for, thank you Amigos Del Mar!

Great tour. Friendly and smiling guide. We saw a lot of nurse sharks. Afterwards everyone got dropped of close to there accomodations dock.

Rude and unprofessional. We were 9 divers for only one dive master. They mix up divers of different levels so dives were short and with short bottom time because they took freshly open waters certified customers to 90 feet and they obviously consumed air quickly. When I raised the point to them they rudely told me that if I am not happy with diving with other people I should have paid extra for a private tour. There are no vibes, they ask to pay everything in advance and don’t even ask your name. Go somewhere else!

Booked them for a spearfishing, fishing and snorkeling excursion. 2 kids 17 and 14. Parents are in the 50s. Did the whole day boat trip. All I can say is the trip and experience was OUTSTANDING!!!! The lunch Burger and Soup cooked was amazing. The fishing, spear fishing, snorkeling, fun, music EVERYTHING was top notch. We didnt want the day to end. Kudos to Kyle and his crew for such a great day on the water and lunch in the sand. Can not wait to get back and do it again.

My trip to the Blue Hole (and two other incredible dive and snorkel sites!with Amigos Del Mar was amazing. I felt very safe during the dive, the dive masters were very attentive and prepared us well for the three different dives. I loved the food, the rum punch and all the sharks, fish, turtles and rays we encountered. Would definitely recommend doing this tour with them, and I heard the snorkelers also had a wonderful time.

Amigos! An all around solid dive operation. Personable, experienced and safe dive masters, captains and crew. Come dive the infamous Blue Hole, a night dive at Hol Chan Marine Park, Turneffe Atoll and all around the worlds 2nd largest barrier reef, the Belize Barrier Reef! It’s a short boat trip to most dive sites on the reef. Fabulous mangrove dive sites too. A shout out to Kyle Crimmins, he’s hilarious. Also, you can get a decent massage, facial, mani/pedi, etc on the top of the shop with cool breezes facing the Caribbean Ocean. Super relaxing! $100US for a 90 minute massage and 30 minute facial. National Geographic underwater photographers were here to dive with Amigos while we were here in April, 2022. Come check these guys out! Thanks Amigos Del Mar!

We had an amazing dive with Kyle. The staff was wonderful and we loved that it is a family shop. If you are looking for a laid back dive with a very knowledgeable dive master this is the place to go!

Seriously amazing experiences with Amigos Del Mar! We did the all day snorkeling to Blue Hole and two local dives. Each experience was incredible. The staff were so nice, knowledgeable and willing to help in any way possible. I will be recommending them every chance I get and hopefully we can come back and do some more excursions with them. 😊

We did the snorkel tour with Birdman as our captain and snorkel guide. What a amazing job he did in pointing out all of the sealife and corrals. This trip has the most sealife in all of my many different snorkel trips in the in the Caribbeans!!! 3 large sea turtles, nerf sharks, stingrays and to many fish to mention. I cant say enough about these amazing people! I chise them on recommendation from my resort and they did not disappoint!! They were on point with everything and went above and beyond on our blue hole adventure! If you are ever in question on who to book these guys are it. I would never go anywhere else when we return! I have +400 dives... Red Sea. Fiji, Australia, Isla del Cocos, Hawaii, many more... Great Dives... good people... good skipper... average rental equipment... great food and surface snacks... super friendly and helpful... dive masters not arogant, but smart and willing to learn and teach. And I notice they watch over, but also give experience people due respect and freedom to explore.Great company...

ADM was fantastic. It just so happened that we planned our dive trip to Ambergris Caye during some less than ideal weather. ADM did everything they could to get us out on the water diving as much as possible. There was one day I believe ADM took us out on the only boat that went out diving on the entire island.The blue hole day trip was incredible and the second dive on that trip, half moon wall, was in the top three dives I’ve ever done.The entire crew at ADM from the office to captains and DMs were awesome (Kyle, Andre, Alex, Tony, Santiago, Georgio, Chris, and everyone else - I know I’m forgetting people). DMs were super helpful and patient with people needing help equalizing, setting up gear, etc.When I return to San Pedro, I will absolutely be diving with ADM.

Best tour company to go with for the blue hole the food was fantastic the dive masters clearly were experienced and prioritized making this a fun enjoyable trip the boat was clean and everything was very professional i couldn’t say enough good things about them even when people were getting sea sick they looked after everyone with genuine care

We booked the half day snorkel to Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and Captain Birdman was the best! The snorkeling is amazing. Crystal clear water and so much to see. We will definitely book with Amigos Del Mar again!

Our family went scuba diving and snorkeling with Amigos Del Mar Dive Shop on our April 2022 trip to San Pedro, Belize. Rob was the most courteous, professional and friendly dive master and guide. Absolutely amazing experience snorkeling with this crew! 10/10 recommend! The men work effortlessly together and explain every step of the day in detail. The boat staff were very kind and patient. We felt very safe on their boat and in the water. I highly recommend this team for your scuba/snorkel blue hole tour!

Went for an adventure left feeling like I have new family; keepers and sharers of some of our earths most magical sites!!!!Got in my Scuba Certification and a couple amazing 60 foot dives for my 60th Birthday!

We did the Hol Chan snorkeling tour and loved it. Said, our snorkeling guide, was very experienced and a nice and funny guy. He took us snorkeling around the reef for one hour, where we could see the beaufitul marine life of the reef - turtles, manta reys, colourful fishes, nurse sharks..He then took us to a spot where there are lots of nurse sharks, and we could be in the water with them for a while which was super cool. Great experience!

Love the experience scuba diving at the blue hole and the other 2 dives we did. Food was delicious and the dive masters are professionals and incredible guys. However, The reason I’m giving a 2 star review is because during the blue hole dive my regulator started leaking water at 35 feet, keep in mind I check all of my equipment prior to the dive and as soon as I jump into the ocean. I tested my backup as well at 35 feet and it was very difficult to breath out of the equipment so I had to Abort the dive and resurface.When I went into the shop after a long day out on the boat, the owner (older mantook apart my equipment for 30 min and tried to show and convince me why his dive master and I were lying about there being an issue with my equipment. He was so convinced that nothing was wrong , when I could have easily drowned at 35 feet if I continued my descent to 130 feet.The 30 min long interrogation completely ruined my diving trip. Not only was he accusing me of lying but also his dive master (when his dive master tested my equipment at 35 feet and also noticed a severe problem).After 30 long min of being uncomfortable, I got a partial refund of $40 for a $120 dive, a dive I didn’t get a chance to complete. I won’t be returning to this dive shop for future dives and would be cautious about using their equipment.

We were a party of six, including two couples in our mid-40s and our parents in their early 80s. We did four trips with Amigos. Mexico Rocks snorkeling, Hol Chan snorkeling, the Blue Hole snorkeling, and Xunantunich and cave tubing. For each trip, they picked us up at the dock at our hotel. 2 of us also did the discover scuba course. From our first contact on Whatsapp to the end of our last trip, everyone at Amigos was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend booking with them.

Fun crew! Loved the captain and John was my DM! The dives left me speechless 🦈🦀🤿🤯 I am spoiled now after this diving experience. Can’t wait to come back.

There is endless dive shops in Belize. However, we got lucky and picked the best one. The customer service starts before you even get there. We did not know anything about Belize beside knowing it is some of the best diving in the world. However, we are fairly new to diving and wanted to be comfortable while diving Amigo Del Mar told us all the things we need to think about before we landed with what to do. Golf cart, if we didn’t bring equipment how it would work, prices etc.Then we get there and they pumped us up. Being in a good mood seems to be theirs motto. We would walk into their shop and it was like we were a celebrity. They addressed us by name, they were always professional and above all us there was never a time we didn’t feel safe. When we were diving they would check on us some much I felt that I was being watched the whole time. Trouble shooting our equipment and quickly accessing our problems. I will be back to Belize due to the wildlife we saw for sure, but I will NEVER dive with another scuba shop if I am in Belize.

Amigos Del Mar was extremely professional and ensured everyone was safe on our blue hole dive. Need more stars for this place. We took two tours with them during our stay and they are the best. The Bird Man went well above and beyond to make sure we had the best day ever. The Blue Hole trip was the experience of a lifetime and they took great care of us on our trip!Thank you so much.

We had a great time diving through Amigos. JC was awesome! We struggled with our first dive in the ocean and he helped us improve. The next two dives we did there was a massive improvement thanks to JCs advice. We will definitely be diving through them again!

Went today for a full day snorkeling tour, including Caye Caulker.Had 4 snorkeling stops, including one with a manatee. The crew made great effort to locate the manatee.Best of the 3 different operators I snorkeled at Ambergris.

Had a fantastic trip to the great blue hole! The boat was large, the crew was so personable and professional. Everything ran smoothly. It is an all day experience and from start to finish we had a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this group if you plan to snorkel or dive.

We went out twice with Amigos Del Mar. The first time was an afternoon snorkel trip to Mexico Rocks. Birdman (the captainwas amazing. He is very experienced making you feel you are in the hands of a very competent leader. Jason (Soupwas second in charge and fun and very experienced. They led us snorkeling and pointed out interesting fish and information regarding the reef.We did a full day trip with the same crew where we went to Hol Chan and saw sharks, rays and even a manatee which was incredible. We had lunch on Caye Caulker then saw the sea horses. We finished at another amazing snorkeling spot. I’d highly recommend this company!!

In August my wife and I made a temporary move to San Pedro to complete a bunch of diving certifications. The first day, we went hunting for a shop, and talked to 5 different big shops. As soon as we walked into the Amigos shop, we could feel the difference. We did 60 dives with them over a few months, and would do it again in a heartbeat. While being very professional and safe, they treat everyone like family, and make you feel right at home. Special shout outs to our instructor Alonzo (a.k.a. Chewie), boat captains Said and Rene, dive guides John, George, Tony, Bird, Santiago, and Soup, instructor JC, and other crew members Ian and Kyle. Kyle was our main man at the front desk, and Ian is in training himself, but helped us out with tons of different parts of ours. All these people made our experience special, and I know they will do the same for everyone that comes through their doors. We can’t wait to visit again, and absolutely recommend Amigos Del Mar to anyone and everyone looking to enjoy sea tours, whether diving or snorkeling.

They were great! They picked us up at our hotel dock then back at the shop we joined some others for our snorkeling tour. The shark experience was so cool! They even brought fresh fruit for us.I highly suggest bringing an underwater camera. I tried to use my iPhone in a waterproof float bag, but the pictures came out horrible.

Syed took my husband and I snorkeling. It was absolutely the best snorkeling experience we have ever had. Syed swam with us and pointed out every fish as we swam through the Hol Chan Marine Reserve. It was so beautiful! Then we went to Shark Ray Alley. Was incredible being in the water with sharks your same size! One of our best experiences on the island. Thank you Amigos Del Mar!

One of the best snorkeling experiences Ive ever had! The crew was professional and extremely skilled in their craft. They were a fun and lively group all the while ensuring the safety and comfort of their guests. Moving forward I will only book through them while in Belize.

Amazing experience with this company and our guide Jordan! Hol Chan is the most beautiful underwater world I have ever seen and I have traveled the world including Maldives many times, Philippines and Australian Great Barrier Reef!So much sea life and alive corals! Loved it so much went 2 days back to back! Definitely recommend! Will definitely use this company again when we are back!

We spent 11 days in San Pedro, and 4 of those days were spent on a boat with Amigos Del Mar. The best dive experience I have ever had. Professional, knowledgeable, hospitable, attentive, with great dive masters and boat Captains. We had 4 beginners in our group of 8 divers. They finished their open water certification the first day. 2 of us went to the Blue Hole the second day, which was a thrill, but the two other dives we did that day at Half Moon Wall and the Aquarium were world class. Ive been to the Similans, Great Barrier Reef, and Cozumel, these two dives rivaled the best of those. We also did a family cruise with a Beach BBQ, Hol Chan , Shark Alley, and conch hunting, which led to some amazing fresh conch ceviche...outstanding day! Thank you Amigos for taking care of my family! We will be back.

Highly Recommend! The staff and crew are amazing! Andre, Santiago and Carlos were so helpful and fun. We did a few diving trips throughout the week as well as a full day on a boat with a beach BBQ, snorkeling, fishing, conch hunting, and scuba diving. They even accommodated a last minute fishing trip for us. We had kids ranging 1-14 years old and they were so patient and kind with them. We couldnt have asked for anything else! Thank you Amigos Del Mar! We hope to see you again!

Super impressed with this company. I enjoyed all of my dives with these guys. These guys are fun and super funny. I was impressed with the boat captain and how well he drove the boat to make my experience comfortable. I was well taken care of and I feel like they cared about my safety. They made time for short notice dives. I will definitely do more dives with these guys.

What an unforgettable experience we had here! Soup was our man who took us snorkeling. He’s a man who lives on the water - so knowledgeable and so detail oriented. You won’t miss a single thing when you’re with him. I’m not a strong swimmer but Soup gave me the same experience as the rest of the group! And when currents were strong, he helped bring me in with his buoy. Swimmers of all levels should get their experience from Soup! You’ll be in for the time of your life

Amigos del Mar dive shop is the best on the island and have the best boats guides. I have been diving with them for over 20 years when I go to Ambergris Caye. Highly recommend. Photos are sunrise at Amigos 😎👍🌴

These guys know what they’re doing! We went on the Great Blue Hole snorkel/dive tour. They were very polite, professional and safety oriented... yet laidback enough to make the experience light and fun. Chris, our snorkel guide was great - very knowledgeable. We highly recommend Amigos Del Mar!

If you have traveled to Belize, you must go see The Blue Hole. Dont let the 2 ½ hour boat rider there discourage you. Its well worth it. It is a beautiful scenic ride on a very nice boat with cover for shade and sunshine on top deck. You make 3 stops so it breaks up the time. Water is amazing once you are way out there. The crew was very knowledge able, especially the Capt Edgar. I have snorkeled before but this was my best yet. The reef is shallow so everything is right there below you. The stop at Half Moon Cay was a nice island. There was breakfast food, then lots of fresh fruit and the a really good lunch provided! Our group was SO glad we decided to take this trip to Blue Hole! This company is top notch.

Good shop, very professional, met others who agreed. I only dove the local reef, but was very impressed. Good dive master Tony, boat captain Javier, and host Rene .... recommended!

Where to start? These guys are fantastic. Just had 2 days of diving including the Blue Hole package + some local dives. The staff, divemasters and captains are all locals, experienced, savvy and professional. My experience was top-notch and will remember this dive shop as one of the best I ve been yet. You want to dive in San Pedro? This is a safe bet.

Dont dive with anyone else! These guys have been here the longest, and are the friendliest group of people! They know the reef, and make your trip worth the money. Dive two or more dives, and they can make deals with you to save some $$. Did the Blue Hole dive and it was awesome as well!
