We waited for half an hour, and finally decided to leave, as the owners didnt look at us at all. I guess this is the price to pay when you dont speak the local language. Only recommend to tourists who have a lot of time and patience...

I found this nice place by Google recommendations. Squids were great and not oily. Was sceptical about prawns as i never ate them good in my life. After we got our portions i was surprised how portions are big and prices are very good for so big portions of sea beasts

We have read recent reviews and we have been bit afraid to come. After opening door we have been welcomed by amazing lady who joke with us and also advised us. Portions of food are huge. Prices are reasonable for the location.

Wanted to have a lunch here. Instead, I left disgusted after waiting 15 minutes for the table to be cleaned. I asked the lady politely twice to do it and she gave me a hard look as though I should be sorry that she has to do it for me. She passed this table several times, so did the other waitress, and none lifted a finger to do it (nor did they ask me to wait a little bit more, simply no response). I dont know about the food but ignorance of the people who works there certainly discourged me from even giving a try.

I usually do not put negative reviews, but after one hour they did not even came to pick the order...while other people managed to come, eat and go. I have the feeling they prefer locals (maybe because the old couple just speaks Croat).

DONT GO THERE! We tried to given an order for more than 40 minutes, they kept ignoring us as they were taking orders from local people. We tried to go inside to give an order afterwards and they screamed at us in their own language. I guess they hate tourists. Never again, dont waste your time and moneu for there are way better places to eat fish here in Zagreb.

They are very rude, incredibly rude and it is impossible to order something. I wasted 20 minutes just standing inside and trying to give an order, i was insulted in front of everyone by a language i didn’t speak. Don’t waste your time.

Good domestic food, good service, acceptable price

Very complicated to order, there is no menu, prices remain completely open. Only at the end when paying then there comes the nasty surprise. Completely overpriced for Croatian standards. The service is not really friendly, they only pretend. Shrimps baked beyond recognition, almost inedible. There is nothing as a side dish (!The very loveless salad and sticky bread had to be ordered (and paid forseparately. I have rarely eaten worse.

One of my old time favourites. Small local restaurant where you we feel proper atmosphere and get freshest seafood. Definitely worth to visit when in Zagreb

Decent portions, sardines were good, service could be better. Very simple and busy restaurant by the open market, so nothing posh should be expected.

This place is just by the fish market so you dont have to worry that your fish want be fresh. Another good thing is that Amfora got attention of Gault Millau for second year in a row. Since this place is run by an old couple you will have to wait to be served simply because they never before had so much foreign guests wanting to try some authentic dalmatian cuisine. You have couple of things on a daily menu like fish or fried squid. Dont even try to have an rude attitude or be posh this is not a fancy restaurant. Prices are reasonable so sit back watch the people on the market and enjoy.

Great place for having caffe or small dish and wine, while watching the market lifes going on. Service was good prices are decent. Great view at Cathedral and Dolac market.

Unkind, unkind and unkind!!!Good food, cheap and good place but the waiters were too rude to go there again!2h to eat and after another waitress gave us drinks, the waiters told us "why are you still there?!" because she thought we didnt order lunch yet . Crazy!

If you like really fresh seafood and dont mind how the restoran looks then this is a must place for you. The place is in the centre of the city, the best seafood you can get in Zagreb at really cheap prices.

If you like sea food and are not too keen on luxury then I definitely recommend this popular place among locals. The staff is humorous but can not be for everyone. Food is affordable and fresh, directly from the farmers market.

The fried calamari was so delicious. Great spot for a nice lunch. Across from the market makes for a really nice afternoon.

It is not a fancy place at all but overlooks Dolac market & next to the fish market, so yes very fresh fish simply made but tasty!Don’t expect them to welcome you with hugs and find you a table! They are too busy but too nice and funny hardworking womenIt is packed at lunch time and you need to hunt a table.....it is worth it though

Horrible service! Was constantly being ignored and we only got our menu 30mins after seated. Once we were ready to order, nobody showed up for another 20mins..😡 Just left the place!

Waited 45 minutes without even being acknowledged or given a menu. When i politely asked the waitress if she could take our order, she made a scene and screamed at both my husband and I. Extremely terrible staff and very rude! I think they dont like tourists.

This place tested my less adventurous side that is timid about seafood, but they had enough side dishes/ veggies that there others could indulge while I looked on and nibbled. What I did sample was fresh and tasty.. The seafood lovers were happy.

This place was introduced to me my lovely locals after a night out at 5am at night we’re we had burek which was ideal when you had a bit to drink.Then I visited again on another day and had fish. This was also very nice, but small portion of chips and a poor effort of salad.

Expensive and just not worthy. You can get better seafood in much nicer looking restaurants in the area for the same price. Waitress was also quite rude. Will not visit again.

Optimum fish cooked to perfection, not wide range in the menu but the dishes they prepare are really delicious; the personnel is nice and welcoming, view on the fruit and vegetable market. Highly advisable.

Great small restaurant right on the main market. It doesnt have a big selection but the prices are excellent. Highly recommend to try if you are into affordable fish.
