Amersham Kebab in Amersham on the Hill

Ordered £27 worth of food to be delivered from time they said out for delivery took 30mins to arrive and by time turned up was stone coldAfter quick call second load delivered after 40mins which was marginally better but uninspiring kebabs and still only mildly warmI wouldn’t use again !Clearly kebabs do not travel well if you go round the houses ….

Always nice food and great delivery times.

We ordered lamb shish, which was served in a pitta bread as if it was a donna. Meat was quite tasty but a bit too chewy. However, the biggest issue I have was that they are still using polystyrene containers!

Great kebabs. Good tasting special recipe sauce. Great management and friendly. Spotless with hygiene. I would trust their food.

Doner kebab is nice when freshly cut.Chicken shish is nice.Lamb shish is bad, always a nasty aftertaste.Lamb kofta is too dry.Chips are reheated most times.Sauces and salad are alway fresh and nice.

Reasonable price but greasy chicken that soaked through the pitta - chanak in Chalfont is way better

Very poor service and attitude from staff. Food quality significantly dropped and food seems to be refried and meat is very dry and chewy.Attempted to feed this back to the Manager/Owner but he had no interest in the feedback whatsoever. He simply said take your business elsewhere. Appalling attitude to say the least and a real shame as we were regular customers and made many party orders in the past.I believe the management and staff has changed here and that is clearly evident. Happy to take business elsewhere. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Ordered food a week ago from phat kebab was supposed to be Batterd fish and chips. The Order had arrived with stale old chips which looked as it had been refried and the fish was a frozen dry breadcrumb coated piece which was very misleading.I called the shop to let them know. They apologised and said they would knock of the cost from my next order.I then went to order today and was told that the manager would deal with this request and that he was currently not here and would be back in 20mins and to phone back. I then did twice.It rang through. I then called numerous number of times after to find the phone was deliberately taken of the hook so calls wouldnt go through.My partner happend to be in Amersham at the time an popped into the shop and asked them why is your phone of hook and the guys working there smirked and didnt answer his question. He then told them my wife has tried to call you and you told her to call back after 20mins. Then you didnt pick up, when she tried to ring. My partner was told by the guys they are to busy to deal with this whilst smirking to another colleague. My partner told them that was disrespectful and that the service is shocking.ADVISE PEOPLE TO AVOID THE HEADACHE.WONT BE ORDERING AGAIN FROM HERE!

Ordered via justeats. Took the restaurant 90 minutes to make a doner kebab to deliver apparently. Fairly sure they only started my order after I called to complain about my order not arriving. Better off going in store for collection.

Got home, found Phat Kebab leaflet on the floor. Thought lets give them a try. So glad i did, the food was delicious. Will be my regular kebab shop now.

Somewhat late, somewhat cold and chips/scampi flaccid!I understand weekends are busy, but rule one is do not advise customers of deadlines you cannot meet. Ok, Large donner plus scampi and chips were 10-15 later than timescale advised but acold kebab and undercooked scampi with limp, chewy chips is not acceptable. First and last order.

Went in 4 cheesy chips, guy literally puts in chips that were already cooked and by the look of them had been sitting there 4 a while. He begins 2 refry already cooked chips thinking i wouldnt notice. When I asked he said they are 4 ur cheesy chips. They were burnt and greasy. I refused to accept. He then began 2 look at me as if he wanted 2take my head off. Disgusting attitude would never go again

The food from here is always good but this time the service post meal was awful. I had ordered via Ubereats and when the food arrived the order was missing part of the order. When I contacted the store I requested a refund for the food not delivered but was initially told I would have to take it up with Ubereats then after an argument they agreed to refund but that has not appeared at all. If you dont have a problem with your order the food is excellent if you have a problem with your order good luck.

It actually sells good fresh meat and salads at very reasonable prices. Inside the shop is always clean and well looked after. Dont be put off by the usual oversized pictures of food that makes these venues appear cheap and trashy. The food and the service are above average. I shall certainly return to slum it and marvel at the fact that Im getting better and cheaper food than most posh turkish restaurants will offer. Nice one Phats!

I don’t order takeaways online as I hate paying over the odds and being constantly disappointed. Phat Kebabs was recommended to me by a friend so I tried them with a burger. It was the best I’d had in many many years - well cooked, plenty of it, soft so you didn’t have to break through tough buns and a low minimum order. Oh and really quick delivery! This ones a keeper!

Phat kebabs as it is now known is the best kebab shop in the area. Great delivery service and plenty of food at decent prices. Friendly staff as always.

This place is good. They pride themselves on fast delivery so the foods hot. I have had a delivery in 20 minutes from ordering before. The meat content in the Doner is good. At least 60%. Does not go white when cold like some inferior Kebab shops, indicating they prepare it on site. The Salad is fresh. One thing that is disappointing is the rice. It’s not seasoned like Turkish rice & sometimes hard . Only the Mangal express & Village mangal are better, but neither deliver. So this is the best non specialty kebab house in the area.

Waited for an hour for food to arrive arrive but was wrong order, then waited a further hour to receive a stone cold kebab with nothing that i had asked for. Was a returning customer but will continue to use Super kebabs, much better service and they answer the phone.

Phat Kebabs has always been such a quick, delicious service; served with a smile. Food is always on time, if not earlier than scheduled and is always hot!I always order through Just Eat because its more convenient for me; Never had any problems.Thank you all & Merry ChristmasJamie-Leanne

We used Phat Kebabs for the first time today and we were very impressed. Delivery was quite quick and the food was well packed and still hot.Everything we ordered was well cooked; the garlic and mushroom bites and houmous were particular highlights.Well definitely be ordering again.

Wanted to share the great service I experienced this evening from the team at Phat Kebabs. After a long day, I really couldnt be bothered to cook so we ordered from Phat Kebabs; our order arrived quickly, was hot and very tasty but one item was missing- its never happened before so I gave them a call and within 15 minutes I had my missing dish in my hand with a complimentary drink (my original order was cold dishes anyway so I could wait). Excellent service and really good food, as always, we will definitely order again :)

Same team as the excellent Amersham Kebabs it replaced. But much smarter inside, and offers delivery, which is fantastic during lockdown.Kebabs are excellent. I had the chicken shish and it was very tasty.

Been living in Chesham for 5 years now and never had a kebab as good as this. A normal kebab around the Chesham/Amersham area would never live up to the one from Phat Kebabs. I challenge anyone within area to send me a kebab better than the one I got tonight.... that’s right, you couldn’t! Thanks Phat Kebab 👍🏻

Asked for a chicken fillet burger meal, was given a grilled chicken burger instead. Charged me £6.20 and it didn’t even include a can of drink... they’ve got to be the worst food outlet in Amersham!!!

Had a wonderful visit on the warmest evening of the summer. The owner was very accomodating and arranged seating outside. We had a mixed kebab with salad and pita bread which was delicious. Try the garlic sauce. We also had some chips and some deep fried chicken. Got treated to some chicken drumsticks for free and some Turkish tea to help digest it all! Will definitely visit again.

Great friendly service by all the staff. I ordered, sat down and was immediately offered a delicious Turkish tea whilst I waited. Staff took care while cooking my order and even threw in some rice on the house as well. Will return again.

Great food at a reasonable price, service with a smile. - Went back again and this time I ate in, my 3yo had a cheeseburger from the kids menu and I the 3 piece and chips, the food came out very quickly and was cooked well, the staff were very attentive, definitely a regular customer made.

Really impressed with this local kebab shop.The quality of the food and service is amazing. The staff are so friendly and proud of what they’ve cooked, which transfers to how tasty the food is.I won’t go anywhere else now!
