Crowded hotel. A lot of foreigners, especially middle easterners & Indian. Bed & pillows were not comfy. Amenities were limited. Good thing is the location is near Oxford Street. And they provide complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar. Breakfast was okay, but same menus everyday. (Sunday they offer a bit more menus variety).

Great location, bit disappointed no bath robes , no shower caps, lotion for body or hands which I have had in other hotels. Mini bar wording needs to be changed there, two cans of coke (which I dont drinktwo bottles of water and a bag of popcorn! Our bed for me and my son big comfortable but would of preferred singles.very expensive red wine and fever tree ginger beer £20!! Wow expected £15. Bit loud at night but staff were all lovely. My front desk lady when checking in could learn how to smile. But I could see others were great at greating.Breakfast lovely, all staff really helpful and lovely. Lifts are a slow took ages to get back down a few times .

I have been staying in this hotel yearly several times over the past 18 years. Every time I arrive here it feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect the breakfast is exquisite and the cleanliness is very good. The jewel in the crown is truly the staff headed by Onur the supervisor. They are very attentive, polite, and professional. Every time I arrive they treat me so well and provide me with the feeling as if I have never left home. I truly recommend this hotel.

The restaurant at lunchtime wasnt open. Not was the bar. We were told to go to the Deli and after queuing for ten minutes a member of staff informed us that this was closed as well and we should go to Costa coffee down the road! Upon entering our room we found hair on the bed and toilet. The evening staff sorted everything out fine but I expected so much more from a reputable hotel chain and especially at the price we paid for the room.I also filled out an online form and havent had any response to date. Very disappointed.

Large, clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Great bar on the same level as the reception area. Would not recommend staying on the first floor as you’re above the casino and the music can be quite loud below on Friday and Saturday evening. Definitely planning on staying here again however. Great location in Marble Arch.

(Note: as mentioned in the reply to this review, since posting, the hotel staff have been in touch and have made efforts to improve quality of our stay. How that translates to the quality of service remains to be seen.)To whom it may concern.I ad booked a room to stay at Thistle Marble Arch for 18 nights. This trip was meant to be my wife and I’s first trip together. I booked this hotel, having stayed at it previously. I was appalled at the greatly reduced standards of service but today was the final straw.I was checked in by a receptionist named Maria. She had recommend I pay a portion of the full payment now and the rest upon check out. She didn’t mention anything else so I proceeded. Today upon returning to the hotel, my key wasn’t working. I headed to the reception where Arti informed me that it may be due to non-payment.I had my card so payment wasn’t an issue. However, Arti seemed confused on how to proceed thus handed us over to Stephan. That man is by far the most condescending person I have ever encountered. He wouldn’t listen to what I had to say because ( and I quotehis ears were hurting today. I get demanding payment from customers but if this was standard procedure, I should have been informed when I checked in.That is all I was trying to convey to Stephan but instead he chose to continuously talk down to me. At one point, he even began whispering as if I was some child to be put down. I also think the colour of my skin also played a factor because he was patient with other (read; whiteguests but I was apparently too loud for him.I will not be staying again here but I write this for the sake of anyone who is so misfortunate as to come across anyone like Stephan again. Not only am I now checking out a full week before I had planned but am left to spend a significant amount of my vacation completely rearranging our plans, including finding new accommodation.I don’t expect much of a response at this but I do hope some of this is considered so no one else has to go through what I have had to today.Hoping that your team at least reads emails and comments fully because your staff is more keen to talk over guests.

This hotel is in a great location and the rooms are reasonably sized but it lacks any quality. Phone in the room didnt work, damp stain in the ceiling, single glazed windows everywhere so you hear a lot of Oxford Streets nightlife. Very understaffed as everything had an obligatory 30-45 min wait time and I would recommend eating elsewhere as the restaurant is comparable to school dinners (the microwave gets a lot of use). The dessert I ordered arrived thrown on a plate and missing some of the ingredients that were advertised. When I asked to get the double cream that was meant to come with the course, they said that it was a special recipe and would take 50 minutes to make...

My room at first wasnt ready but I was upgraded to a better room at no additional cost. The room was great, it had everything you needed however the television remote control didnt work but we got it replaced with a working control eventually. The staff were very nice too.As for the room itself, it was better than expected. The bed was super comfortable and I had not had a sleep like the one I did have in that bed in a good while. Furthermore, the bathroom was very surprisingly clean, as if it had just been installed; the shower hot/cold control was a pain to get working because it was either boiling hot or freezing cold but the bath was perfect. Multiple clean or new towels and shampoo and body gel (along with other bathroom stuffin small bottles that never seemed to run out. The television had Youtube which was a must for me. Kettle, free of charge mini fridge with drinks inside, teas, coffees, hot chocolate all with mugs included, Nespresso Machine (specifically Nespresso Citiz in Chrome), and soft robes + slippers were all included.Moving on to breakfast. This was a big shame for me as I usually look forward to eating in hotels. The "Executive Lounge" was hardly executive. It seemed every hotel guest had access to it. It had only one staff member working in the lounge and it was very dirty with food on the chairs, tables, and floor. The food itself was basically small snacks youd find at sample stalls at your local supermarket and the food seemed to be specially made for Arabs (the overwhelming majority of guests at Marble Arch are Arabs - I dont know why). In conclusion, if you want to eat something in the morning I suggest you dont do it at the hotel, its probably best if you find somewhere else or skip it entirely unless you like eating apples for breakfast (the only food I was familiar with). The location is perfect, 1 minute walk away from Hyde Park (Marble Arch entrance), a 20-minute almost-straight-line walk to Buckingham Palace... with Buckingham Palace being close to all the major attractions in Central London. Its also close to Madame Tussauds if you like that stuff. Its about another 20-minute walk away from Paddington Station but the hotel itself is right next to an underground that can take you anywhere. Theres a taxi rank outside the hotel too.Id give it 4/5 because of the lounge situation, but I had a great time in London (and its not like youre going to spend the whole day in the hotel, realistically its only morning and nightso that made me forget about the minor issues.

Update:I changed to a five star review because I only had incidents at the check in and on my first few hours but after I finishes my stay over there everything was great… the rooms are wide and clean, room service was great, the services was great too and the hotel atmosphere is safe and friendly. I would definitely come backThis hotel has a very poor service if you want to pay for a place to stay without being served you are going to like this…. Rooms wont be served to you only after hours of waiting and talking to them and for the luggage the same thing. You will be surprised how a simple thing can be very complicated. Plus they don’t pick up calls!

I stayed at Thistle Marble Arch in June for a trip with friends. The service was outstanding right from the check in. We have arrived earlier than check in and we didn’t expect to check-in early but Natalia managed to get us an early check in. She made sure that we were well taken care of until the check out. We had a delicious full English breakfast. We planned to stroll the city after the check out - we were able to store the luggage for several hours and later we able to book at the concierge a taxi to go to the airport.Definitely will return.

If you have plans to ruin your vacation then this is the hotel for you.I really can’t say anything good or decent about this hotel except for the location, everything else is extremely horrible from the service and their disrespect for time and the fact that the service here’s offers you nothing you are lucky it they even respond. to the cleaning which first of all take years to be done and when you enter the room it’s literally the same they just fix the bed very poorly. to even the escalator which looks like it’s hundred years old and very noisy and an elevator that hardly works and really smells bad plus you might find some buckets around the lobby don’t worry its only there to collect the dripping water from the ceiling.Don’t even consider this old dingy place its not worth it.

I booked an executive room, unfortunately, it was not street-facing.but still every time I come to this hotel, I enjoyed been here. i feel safe and comfortable because most guests are Arabic. Also, the staff is very kind like Hajar from reception. Easy to communicate with her, friendly, supportive, and always smiley. If anyone comes to this hotel, ask about Hajar you will love her. yelmar the manager is recommended as well one of the best staff there and he is very helpful. Breakfast is delicious. cleaning service needs improvement.

Bliss in the heatwave, air-conditioned bedroom that were modern, and surprisingly quite seeing the hotel was very busy. All the staff were fantastic, very welcoming and very helpful. Big shout out to Nassima, who went above and beyond in making our stay a very welcome one.

okay, so i never write reviews, but i guess I’m doing it now.First off, asked for a connecting room MONTHS before our stay, guess what -no rooms were available when we came, great.Asked to change — fully booked no space.Glasses were filthy, housekeeping wouldn’t change them. Used towels would just be folded back up — they weren’t changed. (I know because there was makeup on one).Breakfast is a nightmare, god forbid you need the toilet, they will make you wait in the line AGAIN to go back in, even though your family is sitting inside.Asked reception for extra blanket and new, CLEAN glasses, never received any.The sink in our room was broken, it took them FIVE DAYS to send someone to the room to fix it. The receptionist(womanalso said they needed ‘outside help’ even though when i asked reception the next day the guy was confused as to why i was told that.Room is …..okay… compared to the price. You are paying for the location, that’s it.Also- please don’t tell me that you “hope that your recent experience has not permanently tarnished your perception ofour hotel and services, and hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back again the nexttime your travels take you to London”Because it looks like thats the automatic answer given to everyone with no intention of change or fixing the problems.

The hotel should NOT be considered a 4-star. It is poorly maintained and has awful service. We tried checking in a bit early and were told we’d have to pay extra, when we checked in at the actual time, we had to wait over an hour for our bags to come to the room because “everyone checks in at the time and they’re too busy”. The reception bathrooms were filthy and some of the staff is rude. Room doesn’t even come with water… there’s a coffee machine but no water to make coffee with???

Updated+++++++Apart from the wait (my earlier comment below), I have upgraded this post from a 1 star to a 5 star.. Everything is almost perfect despite being short staffed and with many guests.. will come here again.. but I think the manage need to do something with enforcing the non smoking rooms.. I think due to the internal circulation, I could smell smoke which might come from the other rooms.. Stayed in 728..Earlier+++++Not rating the stay yet but here is my check-in experience. But arrived at 4.45pm and my room is not ready yet. Plus I have to go down to ground floor to place my bags with the concierge. Not a good check in experience and first impression. Lets hope the room is good.

Honest hotel reviewStayed for a midweek mini break with my o.h with a discounted room. Comfortable, clean, good size rooms. Bed comfortable. AC quiet and works well. Excellent location. Pricey for the level of service and upkeep of rooms. Shower was good. Wobbly drawers on the furnishings, broken kettle, which took 90 minutes to be replaced after asking twice. Very busy, undesirable clientele. busy at breakfast with a lot of families and young children taking over the place but the buffet was varied and filling. Room is not worth the original price especially out of the holidays and midweek.

I stayed in the hotel in one week and the hotel was very cozy and the room was comfortable also the staff was helpful and friendly. But there was one problem. There was two elevators and one of them was not working, so all the people was using it even the stuff was using it for taking out the garbage ( bad smell and carrying customers luggage, it was for everything. And I’m using wheelchair so I have to wait 15 minutes just for the elevator !! And I wonder why the stuff didn’t fix the elevator it was one week,

Very accessible and easy to spot in the buzz of London. A range of restaurants and shopping spaces around. The breakfast buffet at the hotel was amazing. Well maintained room, facilities and housekeeping service. The lobby is great if you want to carry out your office or study work. Best for a pleasant stay!!
