Amarant in Klaksvik

We came here two days in a row. They serve fish + chips, and chicken + chips. On one day, there was a fried rice dish but we didnt have the chance to try it. There is a large eating area with a beautiful view of the lake. Its quite casual. We saw families with kids, workers on lunch break, and teens hanging out.The fish and chicken were crispy and tasty, and the chips were perfect.There is quite a big bakery selection as well. We tried one slice of cake. It was good, but nothing special to be honest.Highly recommend visiting if you are in Klaksvik.

Da Personal war nett aber der Service war nicht so besonders im Vergleich zu anderen Orten. Das Essen war nichts besonderes und auch nicht sehr frisch. Für den kleinen Hunger jedoch reicht es völlig.

Not a clean place to eat with old food (fries a.o.on the floor under the tables, cutlery not clean, filthy windows. Staff not very welcoming. Food is ok. A pity they still use single use plastic cups.

Perfect place in Klaksvik for lunch or a coffee break.. lot of healthy food choices & very good brownies

Great place! Variety of pastries, breads, very good fish&chips, basically only open spot on Sundays midday. Service is super nice, view is stunning. Totally worth visiting :)

One of the few restaurants/bakeries with extended hours in the whole country. Given how much stuff is closed on Sundays, especially in the morning and at lunch, this place would be a gem on that alone.Add in their delicious pastries, and they easily earn a 5 star rating.

Bäckerei mit nettem Restaurant. Eine Seltenheit auf den Färöern! Leckeres Brot und abends feine Pizza, verschiedene Desserts. Leichtbier bekommt man auch, aber keinen Wein oder stärkeres Bier. Familienfreundlich.

Dejligt og hyggeligt sted.Synes at deres kager smager så godt.Købte også kager med hjem.De er godt nok blevet meget mindre og meget lavere siden en ny ejer har overtaget ( fra hja Jorun)

It is in a nice location with an overlooking view. They have dish of the day and regularly have “fish and chips” and “chicken and chips”. I think the serving size is good for sharing.

A nice and cleen place where you can get breakfast or dinner or just a cup of coffee for a reasonable price.

Just tried their breakfast /brunch buffet. It was nice. Not that expensive either. They should put some more love on the scrambled eggs..

Bakery:Coffee ok and good sweets/bakery/buiscitsAlso with good opening hours for the country and a lunchlunch is ok-ish therfore only 4 or lets say 3 stars (fish&chips)free wifi, enough space and also a breakfast if you need one

Her kan man få varm mad, men også smørrebrød eller kaffe og kage. Kan selvfølgelig også købe brød og kage med hjem.

Service was not good. We played for a full breakfast buffet, but we only got 1/2. There was no juice, so we had to ask for water for the children and us. The cutlery was dirty. We asked for eggs and had to wait 15 min and were then given 1/2 raw eggs ( which can be deadly because there is samonela here).All in all NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!

This is a lovely cafe and bakery with good value prices. It has the most delicious cakes and coffee. We enjoyed the fish and chips. The portions were large but we thought the fish had been frozen.

Had the breakfast buffet. Nice selection - not too big and not too small - of food and drink. The jogurt was cold and the eggs warm, which was nice. We will be going back and I do recommend it 🙂

Fint spisested med varme retter og lækre kager m.m.. Selv bestilte jeg en portion Fish and chips, mens de andre fik lidt forskelligt heriblandt panini og en fastelavnsbolle. Fish and chips var lækkert. Perfekte pomfritter, men fisken har jeg smagt bedre. Panini var ikke et hit, men fastelavnsbollen var god. Samlet set en fin oplevelse og gode drikkevarer (varm kakao).

Great place to grab a quick bite. I lived off of the sandwiches for a few years, although Id prefer they were a little cheaper. Give it a go.

We made a day trip from Torshavn. Had fishn chips for lunch, which was well made. They also have fresh baked bread and tasty pastries. Worth a visit.

We visited Faroe last September and stayed in Klaskvík campground. This café was a 15 minute walk away and well worth it. They have open-faced sandwiches, pastries, pies coffee, and full meals, along with great and helpful staff. We returned here so many times trying different sandwiches, pastries, and meals like the meat lasagna. We always had quality food and great service for the price. Ger so væl!
