Contemporary art center featuring classic & modern Argentinean works plus international collections.
Very nice collection. Worth a visit for sure
Wonderful. Some cool international artists but what a best is the paintings exampling Argentine art history. And beautifully located. 100% recommend going if in the neighborhood
Beautiful collection of both Argentine pieces from all 200 years of the countrys history and international pieces, some from antiquity. Its a small place, in maybe 30 minutes you can enjoy it all fully, but its well worth it. The entrance fee is very cheap too, all things considering.
Abril de 2022. Museu muito bem cuidado e limpo. Compre o ingresso ali na portaria. Há um subsolo, primeiro andar e segundo. No subsolo fica a exposição permanente e no segundo andar ficam exposições temporárias.
Very interesting collection. Great for a late afternoon visit.
Interesting collection of Argentinean art with temporary exhibitions of contemporary works. 200 pesos fee. Thursdays to Sundays 12 to 8pm.
Great art! Great private art collection with no to many pieces, but full of quality and variety, so better you go and have a wonderful time at Puerto Madero ;)
Superb collection in a very fashionable display.
A stimulating collection of very fine, mostly Argentinian art. I especially liked the mural-sized works by Berni. Displayed on 3 floors of a modern and beautifully designed building set picturesquely on the canal in Puerto Moderno. The Fortabat is well worth the visit. Cost is 80 ARSsubway line B, estacion Alem is a couple blocks away.
Nice place to see art collection
This is my one of favorite museum become.. because have some surprise famous artists paintings 😍
Excellent museum. Not very famous, but It should not be taken for granted. Nice collection of Argentine paintings, with some artists from Europe.
Very interesting museum with an invaluable collection of masterpieces, thanks to Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat
I really liked the building near the waterfront and their art collection. I think the entrance fee is worth it. I was surprised that they didnt get more visitors. But I was happy to enjoy the gallery all to myself.
Cool
Arteeee
Very good collection over 3 floors. Elevator available. Some real stunners in the permanent collection including a Turner. Some sculpture including a Rodin. Dali sketches as well.
Small collection of interesting European and Argentinian art work. Heavy on contemporary pieces. While there is not a huge amount of artwork, they are all of pretty high quality and very interesting. The building itself is also quite striking. A great way to spend and hour or so in Puerto Madero.
Nice collection of pieces from different decades. It is great to see the development of Argentinean art.
Liked the architecture of this place
One of the best modern art museums in Buenos Aires. Located in Puerto Madero, the building has exterior panels that move in relation to the sun. It houses the collection of a wealthy socialite. Building design by a firm in New York City that also designed the Patronas Tower in Kuala Lumpur. She had a portrait of herself commissioned from Andy Warhol. There are paintings and sculptures from the 1920s to the present as well as a few pieces from ancient Egypt. Well worth a visit. It is a short walk from the bridge of the women.
Good
A must see museum in Buenos Aires
Incredible exhibits. The sliding roof lets the sunlight in.
beautiful building and beautiful art
Excellent museum!!!
Very well laid out and interesting art. I enjoyed walking around this gallery. The photos are the view of the marina from the gallery.
Lindisimo Museo.
Bellisimo
Excellent collection including Berni.
This collection is very nice for people who like paintings. There were no temporary exhibitions when we visited, so the floors above ground were closed. We visited the regular collection in the underground floors. The museum has a great collection of Argentine art of the 19 and 20 centuries apart from some modern contemporary art. It starts t when the main motive were countryside landscapes and gaucho images. There is even a Breughel and s Turner in the collection. Some explanations are in English. Guided tour was only in Spanish, with a very knowledgeable but not particularly friendly guide. A small souvenir shop. I was aldi expected to see a bit more on Amalia Lacroze de Fortabat, an important figure in industry and art sponsorship. Her portrait by Andy Wharlor is here.
Well executed building, great display spaces!
Fabulous!
Good
Amazing museum. The private collection is exquisite
Beatiful, it is a great place to visit.
Its a must in Puerto Madero. No photographs allowed.
Awesome place!
Good service. Small portions. Dark and noisy
Fine and eclectic art collection with some argentine iconic masterpieces
The arquitecture of the building and the art collection gives you a very good idea of a Private Collection which began last Centuary .An Argentine Collector and Traveler of the world
If youre interested in Argentinean Modern Art dont miss this museum. Has good Fader and Quirós.
Amazing collection and space
👍🏻
Brueghel!
Fortabats Art Collection is remarkable to say the least, with pieces from all movements and periods, including a portrait by Andy Warhol himself. The Foundations building is ample and modern and features four levels full of pure awesomeness. Perfect after a stroll through beautiful Puerto Madero -arguably one of the the trendiest area in Buenos Aires.
