Amager Strand Promenaden 1, 2300 København, Denmark, Hvidovre
Over 4km of sandy man-made beach on an island with a lagoon, land & water sports, kiosks & cafes.
An excellent beach and park. The entire space felt open and inviting, and the facilities provided were clean and easily accessible. In addition, the view of the Øresund Bridge and incoming flightpaths for the airport were excellent.
Run, skate, rollerskating, biking or just for a pleasant walk by the sea!
Relaxing beach with plenty of grassy space around. Easy to reach by Bus or metro from central Copenhagen. Would be good to have more choice for light snacks etc.
It was nice, but in order to survive the sun just bring an umbrella with you!
Biggest beach in CPH and definitely the one with the most facilities. There are several beach volley fields, bars and games for kids.During the spring and the summer I would suggest to come here and see the sunrise or sunset, the wind turbines in the background give a unique look
Beach volleyball courts are busy during summer time!
Its a lovely place with lots of people having fun. All different ages. All of the beaches are guarded with life guards.Amenities like bathrooms are near and also some coffee and drink places.
Great place for many eventsEasy to find and close to the nature and sea
Best central beach in Copenhagen. You can walk, swim, bike, skate and run here.
Went here for a run, beautiful sunrise over Malmö and Öresund.
Beautiful beach, chilled atmosphere! And very close to the city center of Copenhagen (10 min by Metro)
Nice beach, and there is a lot of green area to have a picnic and a nice play ground for kids. And a few ice cream shops. The only down side is the parking.
Amazing total beach, laguna and activity area.Shops and eats have come along through the years but still needs more to be a great solution.
Plenty of space and always something going on. Toilets are a mess. At the moment big part is blocked off maybe due to a event
Such a beautiful beach and sea. Really enjoyed being there
Loving this place. This is an absolute reason to live in Copenhagen. Fresh air, beaches, cool people doing sport or playing mini-golf, tasty ice-cream in a retro bus near the sea. Beautiful, nostalgic and very contemporary feeling.
Beautiful place, accessible from the city center via the M2 metro line. Naturally there is bicycle parking. You could see Malmö, Sweden from afar.
Nice beachBut parkings are small and people are very careless and they hit your car when getting in and out.Whenever I have parked there, I have got a damage on my car , left without any notification.
Great beach, toilets close by, some trees with shade, a good restaurant on a boat in the middle.
A lovely beach and park by the sea. Lots of space and green, perfect for a long walk or a day out with the family on the beach. It is very clean and has good facilities and some cafe and ice cream shops along. You can swim or do kayaking, kite surfing or play beach volleyball or other activities etc. parking is very convenient.
Its a beautiful beach and just at 5 minutes walking distance from Amager Strand metro station. It has a very nice playing area for kids. The place is a must visit in a sunny day. If you plan to visit in Summer, them maybe can carry some snacks with you as could only find an Ice cream store at beach and not many restaurants or Cafes
Very chill place. Perfect for a family walk or bikeride.
Very nice Sea Beach, is a great choice in a Sunny Day
A nice place to spend a summer day on the beach. It is ample, spacious, and well kept. Also, I have fair skin, and I like the fact that there is always someplace in the shades under the trees. Highly recommended to both locals and visitors.
Nice beach 🏝 with a lot of space. There is also a surfing school within the beach, and a lot of people enjoying around. The parking is free with plenty of places. The only issue is the toilet facilities 🥲 however, it’s a nice place and I’ll fully recommend.
Very clean beach, clean bathrooms and delicious ice cream 🍦Kanoo and kayak available to rentNice people, very friendly, good vibes, great place to hike 🚶♀️
Really nice Park with lots of Nature, wild free animals like bird and fantastic sceneries.
Very nice to walk along the beach here. There is a dock for diving into the sea and you can see Sweden across the water. There are some cafes out on the beach but none of them were open when I went, probably because it was still winter.
Nice place, probably very nice in summer. Good space and swimming area is shielded for the wind, with several stairs up from the water. Toilets were closed, only one was open but was unclean... A lot of green area, parking for motorhomes/RV.
To be honest I briefly strayed into the area as part of a morning walk, lots of different terrain with scattered food and drink offers if using later in the day. My visit was about 8am and it was quite grey and dark.Lots of joggers running round and dog walkers.
Great arena to go for a walk or a dip in water. Either u can take sand path or just go alongside concrete path while walking and enjoying the view either during the day or the evening. Please be careful during the night while walking barefoot on the sand or in the water.
It was perfect, super chill and calm. This is a must visit place for a walk and for a swim. The water was cold and total refreshing. The whole island is cool and there are a lot of footbridge to the water too.
Absolutely love this place. Beautiful beach near the city. Great for a short hike, bike ride and a swim in crystal clear water. Also interesting views on the factories.
Great for walking or running, nice to see so many people here just being chill outdoors. Nice cafes and restaurants on the side. The water is quite cold for swimming though
Its a nice beach park with an awesome structure to sit, change,Dive etc. You can explore further on the beach walking on the smooth road.
Nice to have grass and sand on the beach. If youre accustomed to Mediterranean type sea, forget your expectations and try this different sea.
Nice, small new city beach park with a view to Malmo, planes taking off and a bit of industry. Even if artificial, still nice and pleasant.
Finally all the facilities are open: nice clean toilets, shower, cafe. Very convenient for us scuba divers: we can rinse our gear after a dive
Really nice sandy beach you can swim, bath, wind surf, kite surf or just take a walk or a run along the path.
One of my favorite beaches in Copenhagen. Though this isn’t a very fine sandy beach , it is a very good place to spend a summer afternoon. The crowd here is more international and young compared to other beaches around Copenhagen .
In this area you can find an ice cream shop with coffe and very fair prices for the location. Public toilets are available which is an amazing thing and keeps the area clean. You can see øresundsbron and even Sweden in clear days. Nice to bike or walk around.
Best beach area in Copenhagen. Easy to reach by Metro, and the walkway towards the beach is nice and feels like going on vacation. The ice cream shop is way too crowded, with not enough service available. Not sure if regulations are in the way, but I wouldnt mind seeing another 2-3 ice cream shops open up during peak months.Toilets could also be marked a bit better, but generally well-maintained.
Beautiful public beach Amager is an island situated near the copenhagen airport filled with white sand and cool breeze it is a perfect spot to spend the day. There is an ice cream shop and people play beach volly ball. The perfect time to visit the beach is in July August.
Perfect place for leisure time with rich opportunity for water activities. Cafe, Ice cream booths and public toilets are present. Plane spotting for Kastrup arrivals as an extra bonus. Fairly close to Den Blå Planet also.
I love this place. Its great to be close to the sea, and I come here when I need to relax, and fulfilled my batteries. In the summer its a nice place to swim and hang out with friends and family.
Great place to be with lot of activities like surfing. The beach can be accessed from 3 metro stations oserund, amagre strand and fromenAccessing from fromen has advantages, that it had lot of play areas for children. Also the dedicated surfing areas is near.
My favorite hangout in Copenhagen/Amager. Last star missing is because the sand is coarse but that doesnt ruin the day. The beach has its own website and list all the events and activities available here and there is a lot. Islands brygge is very nice, but Amagerstrandpark is the place to be when the sun is shining and You need a place to cool down. Easily accessible by metro, bus, car parking (sometimesand not far from city center.
Very relaxing to walk here and definitely takes your mind of things. Its nice to see how many people run there. There was a race going on like an obstacle course which weve watched and was very entertaining. Respect to all the participants. The views over the sea is calming and beautiful.Only small downside is that the shops arent all open but thats probably down due to the season.
I really enjoyed the picture perfect beach park, the lovely view over too the bridge crossing from Sweden and the windmills. If I have to put my finger on something that I didnt quite like it has too be that there where no sunbed and parasol rental opportunities, and the sand filled with sharp objects like shells and rocks so my but was a bit sore after sitting in the sand, even though I had a towel too sit on.But overall a really nice place with nice cool water too bathe in.
Very nice and quite a big beach. Had good time during Skt Hans celebration on 23rd june 2017. Beach is super clean and water is crystal clear. Remember to carry a polarized sun glass to see through water. Its simply awesome. You will feel it, mark my words.
